Don’t think twice just book it. Great location, great rooms fast elevators worth every penny for a beach stay.
Ekaterina
Everything was great. Will stay again.
IRIS
The staff were very nice and helpful. They allowed us to check in early.
Laurie
Everyone was extremely friendly, the view from the room was amazing-the ocean is sooo beautiful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was great, and the lazy river was very enjoyable. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
Nicole
I had a great stay with my family. The room with the bunk beds was amazing!!!! I definitely will be coming back!
Bruno
Great place to stay with the family. Easy access to the beach.
Sanela
This hotel will NOT clean your rooms daily. Im talking about basic needs trash , toilet paper, new towels etc. When I request to speak to manager she could care less. Do not stay here unless it’s your last option.

Beach is beautiful and water clear. Fantastic seafood resturant near by.

Todos fueron muy amables sin duda volveré!!

I like where the property is located and the pool. We have stayed there for years. The pool and the hot tub were not very clean. The hot tub would t work. The watery was chalky and full of sand. The pool was not clear and had lots of sand in it and floating debris. We were there 5 days and had a balcony room. It was not vacuumed one time. I even reported it and nothing!
Tana
Liked the location. It was nice going from the beach to the pool throughout the day. No free breakfast, but a small restaurant inside the hotel. Hotel was clean and provided plenty of outdoor towels throughout the day.
Paulina
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. I would always see people cleaning everywhere on the lobby which was great because they maintained it clean. Everything was great except some things i was not so happy about. first i got to the room it was clean but the restroom was so weirdly arranged uncomfortable, the toilet seat had a crack, the toilet paper literally a foot off the floor, there was like three hairs on the tub. Second either change it to full laminate floors or wash the carpet every so often because it was dirty and my room actually had two stains on it . Also please change the shower head it was the worst there was water everywhere it was the worst.

Let me start with our room service. It was semi cleaned the first day and was never cleaned the days after. No clean towels were provided for us so we had to use the pool towels provided downstairs. We did call the front desk about our room not being cleaned and was told someone will get to it. (Never happened) We also asked the cleaning staff for help when on our floor but were rude when asked about towels or when our room will be cleaned.
Pool area was ok and clean but the hot tub was very dirty. Beach access was nice and place did have a nice beach view.
Bar service was good and drinks were on point so thank you to bar staff.
Hotel location was convenient and not far from any restaurants. There was construction being done at the front of the hotel which made it tricky to drive in from the main street. Destin beach was about 15-20 min from hotel, depending on traffic.
We did get rain on our first couple days but made the best of it.
Overall, will most likely never stay here again due to poor room service.

The front desk staff is very welcoming and helpful with check-in, local restaurants, and hotel amenities. We especially appreciate both Pebble and Kyla for their amazing service. We had an AC problem in our room that was addressed immediately by maintenance. The pool is fun and the Tiki Bar handled all our refreshment needs. We love this beachfront hotel!
Savannah
Everything was so nice and so clean!

I booked from July 1 to 5. I was able to get an extra day off so decided to go down a day early. No issues. When it came time to “check out” of my first room they told me numerous times that housekeeping would be doing our room as soon as it was available knowing we were there. They told me numerous times they would text me when my room was ready and we checked the phone number to be sure they had the right number. We spent the day by the pool and it was HOT and we were getting burned even with sun screen, it was 3 pm and we have had enough of the sun. I did not get any texts yet and decided to go check. The person at the desk said my room has been ready and was apologetic for no one texting me. Gave me 2 drink vouchers and 4 meal vouchers. He also said he was going to get rid of my parking charges found out at checkout still on my bill. We get to our room, the bed is about a foot away from the ac unit!!!! So anytime the ac would come on it would freeze us out, so either we froze or we would have to shut it off and get hot. No happy medium. Normally there is a chair and ottoman next to the ac unit but for some reason the bed was close to it. So we didn’t get to sleep all week. Our last night there we ordered pizza from downstairs. I do NOT know how you can burn a top of a pizza and have the bottom uncooked, but they found a way!!!! It was BURNT and RAW at the same time. Waitress didn’t charge us for it. That night my husband and I were SICK in the bathroom all night!

This experience he was very good felt like I was on a resort in the Caribbeans. Tiki bar is a good addition lazy river and restaurant was good . Only complaint I would say was the power light in the room is too bright when you are sleeping. However I will be back again. It was so worth the stay. Staff was on top of everything especially Dwayne he was my guide for everything I need to know and what I wanted to do while I was there. I recommend this hidden gem

We had an amazing stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Ft. Walton Beach! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The amenities were fantastic and convenient. Especially the lazy river-style pool, which was the perfect place to unwind. We loved spending time at the tiki bar. The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even more enjoyable.
The location couldn’t be better. The hotel is right on the beach, making beach access effortless, and it’s conveniently located just a short drive from Destin Beach and two harbor boardwalks…so exploring the area was easy.
A special thank you to Maggie at the front desk! She greeted us with a warm welcome and took the time to explain everything we needed to know for a smooth, stress-free first visit to Ft. Walton Beach.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be staying here again!

Nice pool

Room and pool are fantastic-everything was very clean and comfortable! Hotel was undergoing renovations/construction while we were there and that was a bit messy and inconvenient periodically in the public areas. The overall area was not great due to the huge amounts of road construction. It’s difficult to get in and out of the hotel driving and not very walkable. The hotel beach is great!

Excellent customer service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The convenience of the pool to the ocean made the trip for us. The point of vacation for us, is not to have to stay in the car the whole trip. We enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant, the breakfast and drinks and even dessert were amazing.
No complaints at all, we had kids in tow and enjoyed the beach being family friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.

Hotels.com completely botched our reservation. 100% recommend booking with the hotel directly. The hotel staff came to the rescue. Made our entire trip go from what else could go wrong, to what went right. Rooms were clean, really! For a beach property, that's asking an awful lot, but they were honestly clean. you can see the staff day and night working to keep it this way. We took advantage of the beach cabanas, breakfast at the restaurant, and outside drinks. all great options to have and worth the money. The lazy river and pool were a perfect compliment. We would stay here again and the kids agreed.
Derrick
Excellent property. Beach. Pool. You can use neighboring pool as well. Excellent all around
Keith
Awesome place to stay. Great location
William
Room wasn't ready at check in time. Then given the wrong room. Finally the right room had no working exhaust fan, so the room was sticky and humid the entire stay. Dust was caked on the fixtures in the room. Carpet was so dirty, it left the bottom of our feet black. The pool was the only thing we enjoyed about the hotel. The pizza from the restaurant has no taste and was expensive. The tiki bar burger was decent. Fries had no flavor. Parking was $20 per night instead of the advertised $15 per night. I have had much better experiences from much cheaper hotels.
Virgil
The property was nice. Very disappointed that beach chairs were not all inclusive.
Staff was very friendly. Our biggest disappointment was our king size bed. It was so uncomfortable. There was no support whatsoever. For the price we paid for the gulf and beach view a good nights sleep would have been so nice. My wife and I woke up several times during the night with back pain. We expressed our concern with the staff and they sent up three very thin blankets to help with the uncomfortable mattress. Which didn’t even phase the problem. Very disappointed.

Room was clean minus some black hairs that were on towels and under pillow. The toilet makes a squeak sound when flushing that started to stay constant. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lynsey
Great location, clean room, fun pool, close to the beach, just perfect

Love the place .

This place was so amazing! The beach view was THE best! We couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay!

Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Nice view and close to the boardwalk, but everything else was terrible.
Came in to the AC set on 65, being from South Texas, 65 degrees is an amazing feeling, no matter how warm/humid it is outside. Room felt muggy and damp the entire stay! 4 days! Had a beach view room with a balcony and the door to the balcony didn’t shut correctly, warm, wet humid air constantly flowed in through the cracks, keeping the room miserable. I even set the temp down to 60, thinking it would help but it didn’t. I ended up having to go to wal mart and buy a fan to keep us comfortable.
I spoke with the front desk and they said they would have an engineer come and look at it. Nothing was ever fixed and I was never updated about the issue. This happened twice.
The bathroom fan didn’t work at all and the bathroom stayed hot and wet the entire time. The hotel has washers/dryers($2.00 a piece)
And they didn’t work either. Washer didn’t spin clothes and dryer didn’t fully dry them unless you wanted to spend hours waiting. Our clothes stayed wet the entire day, thank god we washed on the last day and just managed to wear whatever we had on the day before to head home.
Lobby stayed wet and smelled like a wet dog the entire time (yes I know it’s on the beach and it stays humid) but you’d think for what you pay, you’d have a better stay.
All in all, not worth it. Find another place to spend your money, this hotel has major issues.

Jose

Eulalia
Clean room , great location friendly staff

The grounds of the property are under major construction with big piles of dirt everywhere, construction cones everywhere. Hard to walk with a stroller to get to the side walk to reach attractions because of it. The property on Expedia advertised that breakfast was included with my room. Hotel desk staff said it’s not.rugs are very outdated. I reached out to hotel about this and zero response. I wouldn’t
stay again.
stay again.

We had a fantastic time at this family-friendly hotel. The beach access felt like a resort , and my son absolutely loved the lazy river. The breakfast was generous, making it a great choice for our stay. Plus, we were conveniently located about 6 minutes away from the crab island tours.
Marcos

Absolutely loved it. The only negative is you have to pay for parking.
Katie
We had no complaints. Thanks
Richard
We booked a Junior King suite, and was amazing! The room was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 6!! Nice view of the Gulf of Mexico, also the access to the beach was perfect! The pool was amazing and the breakfast was well worth it!! Will definitely stay here again!
Oscar
This hotel never disappoints is top

We had a great experience during our stay. The beach view was beautiful, the outdoor pool was clean and relaxing, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would definitely come back again.
Regina
I love the room . The pool was amazing. The food was delicious
Sarah
Nice property. Clean, well taken care of. Staff was extremely courteous. Lots of fun extras for families.
Gabriella
It was amazing , just a walk to the beach. I absolutely loved it & I’m sure to come back. The pool is also amazing at night!
Rob
Great property for families. The beach access + pool is unbeatable.
We booked a room w/o a balcony to be safe for the littles, but that meant ZERO airflow and permanent intense humidity in the room. Nothing dried, it was rough to breathe for days. It was already frustrating as we received a significantly smaller room than we booked. The staff was kind enough but completely unhelpful on several occasions. The restaurant prioritizes To Go orders, so we recommend ordering ahead of time and picking it up. Adjust expectations accordingly.

Staff in restaurant were almost non existent. Waited 30 mins for my drink and no one was there. Bloody Mary was terrible. Food sucked. The hotel itself was amazing. Eat somewhere else tho.
Ginger
Great trip! Rooms were clean and environment was friendly.
Kristi
Loved the pool and beach!
Jomary
I stayed for two nights. The hotel, room and pool area was clean. Most of the Staff was friendly and kind. The only thing that I didn’t like is that house skipping didn’t clean and skipped our room, didn’t even leave new towels. Other than that our stay was pretty good.
Beth
The lobby is clean which is where they spend all the time cleaning. The rooms were not clean. We also found roaches in our room. They tried to say they were not roaches. We had an oceanfront room with balcony, they moved us to an inside room no view. They wanted us to return to room after they sprayed for bugs but they could not guarantee the spray they used was pet friendly. After much arguing they moved us to a 3rd room that wasn’t nearly as nice and didn’t have the view we originally purchased. They only compensated us $200. Not worth the stay and definitely not as nice as the images.
Santa
It was worth the price. Will book again

This property is everything you need for a beach vacation!
From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we were always greeted warmly by staff who were always friendly. The hotel and rooms are beautiful. The pool is clean, fun, and the ability to use the Holiday Inn pool is also great!
The Tiki bar was fun and the bartenders are excellent. Shout out to Ryan, Ashley, and Jimmy for making our experience awesome.
Hotel is in walking distance to our favorite spots including the fishing pier and The Boardwalk for shopping and restaurants.
We've stayed on the island at another property and The Hilton Garden Inn has won us over. We'll definitely stay again.

Staff was super friendly. The pool was amazing!!

We had a great time. highly recommend.

This was a last-minute trip from Georgia to Florida to enjoy the Florida sunshine, unfortunately, we were rained out. But I felt the hotel value was extremely reasonable, given the appearance, and amenities of the property. I was greeted at check-in by the sweetest lady. Pedal was so engaging and warm, she definitely lifted our spirits after a long journey.
Brenda
Hotel front desk staff made our stay so amazing! They were the friendliest people we ever met! Hotel is beautiful and right on the most beautiful beach. We loved the tiki bar and lazy river too!
Jennifer
Ocean front 2 queen beds

The hotel was very nice and well kept. My room was recently renovated and still smelt of new carpet. The staff was so friendly. The food we ate was good. I just can’t say enough about how good the staff was.
Kendall
The beach access and pool was perfect for our family vacation

Pebble was wonderful. Bartenders great. Lazy River relaxing.

Hotel was very nice and clean, room was clean. Very convenient having a fridge and microwave in the room. Views were fantastic. Pool was clean, bar was great and had good food too.
A couple downsides, I got a text message before the stay asking if I wanted to “pay a discounted rate for parking” I selected yes and still got charged for the full amount after we left the hotel at the end of our stay.
The walls are so thin we could hear every single conversation and noise that either of our neighbors made on each side of us.
The newly remodeled bathroom looked great but the faucet for the sink was literally almost unusable, it was the wrong size and you couldn’t hardly wash your hands without running your fists into the back of the sink. The shower also leaked all over the bathroom floor through the shower doors.
The last thing was I got a $6 charge a couple days after we left for “2 bottles of water” in the room. We never touched these $3 bottles of water, but got charged anyway. We reached out and the hotel never replied.
Would love for someone to contact me about these charges and the problems we had with the hotel but it seems like they don’t care.

Great property, views, and location. Very clean. So why the 4 stars instead of 5?
The outside bars plays music that we and other guests found borderline offensive. I heard two guests make comments to the bartender who said that they couldn't change it. Also the outside bar food and menu suck.
Inside restaurant. Breakfast was really good but a cafeteria atmosphere. Overall, I will stay here again. But if you want stars, some changes need to be made.

The pool and bar environment were awesome. Even a DJ every day with entertainment.
There was maintenance all day. All staff were friendly including cleaning crew. Yes, I would highly recommend this place and I plan to come back again at any time.

It's was amazing so clean the beach was beautiful was love it. Food pool was great.

If you have kids , this hotel is perfect. We come here at-least once a year, the lazy river and pool are great! There is a small section that acts like a splash pad if you have little ones, the indoor pool is a plus, has a small gym if you want to keep your exercise routine, food at restaurant is fresh and tasty, tiki bar drinks are great and bar food is good, access to beach is amazing. At night you can walk the beach and look for ghost crab, or make smores in the fire pit or play giant jenga or cornhole , Staff is always nice, property is always clean. You can walk to the pier or drive there , go fishing, drive to other areas on the island. We get the room with a balcony and the bunk beds and it has a lot of space. We just love it.

First, the hot tub was NOT functional during my entire stay. No Sign Posted, either.
Second, we had to call the front desk THREE times just to get towels.
Third, one of the fire pits was not functional. Many guests, including my family, were unable to enjoy sitting by it.
Fourth, there was a COCKROACH in our bathroom! How DISGUSTING! I have pictures and a video of the cockroach for proof.
In short, I will NEVER stay at your hotel again. I was really exciting after looking at the hotel online. However, it was a VERY disappointing experience. I complained to the front desk about these complaints. We were just given one free breakfast voucher for our troubles. WOW! I was at least expecting some type of rebate on our total hotel stay.

The view was great. AC worked fine.

We were there for 3 days and had to complain about the hot tubs not functioning twice. I was told by a local that has an out of season pass to use facilities that one of the hot tubs had been broken for many many months. Why not just put a sign out that is a kiddie pool and call it done? Why keep calling it a hot tub when everyone on your staff knows it will never have hot water in it? Why put staff and guests through a continuous \"Is the hot tub working\" loop? Why have staff lying to guests about the hot tub? The place was very clean and staff was efficient. We had one meal at hotel restaurant and it was tasty. Would definitely consider staying here again if I knew hot tubs would stay hot. Very disappointing to book a place that advertises a specific amenity only to find out it is very unreliable.
Donald
Everything was fine, except for the bar area; the bartender had a bad attitude.
Jeremy
During my stay it smelled like carpet glue and 3 of the outlets didn’t work. The lights in the bathroom didn’t work. The tv didn’t work.
Luzelva
Jacuzzi was broken and they didn’t even have a sign. Also make sure hotels books the right room through the we got no vie when we paid extra and they said since I rented via third party they didn’t show it
