Old world home-away-from-home in the Cotswolds. Dating back to the 1500's The Moonraker Hotel, BW Signature Collection is a charming Grade II listed manor house less than 10 miles from the historic city of Bath.
Over the years, the house has been lovingly renovated, with the old farm buildings incorporated into the hotel design. It expertly combines original features with home comforts to provide you with a relaxing place to stay away from the stresses of modern life.
Within the grounds are a walled garden, ponds and secret paths that you can explore at your leisure. The food served in our restaurant is exceptional, with dishes based around local produce from the hotel's kitchen garden and onsite smokery.
Our 23 en suite bedrooms, which are furnished with antiques and rich fabrics, are split across the main house and outbuildings. All come with free fiber-optic broadband, a flat-screen television with Freeview and White Company toiletries.
Our 4 Poster Bed rooms are perfect for a romantic getaway, while our deluxe rooms offer an extra slice of luxury. Some are on the ground floor, ideal for guests with mobility issues or those who want to bring their dog with them.
The Moonraker Hotel, BW Signature Collection is close to some of the UK's top attractions, including Longleat Safari and Adventure Park and the Westbury White Horse. If you don't fancy driving into Bath, there's a regular bus service that stops directly outside the hotel, so you can be seeing the sights in no time, including the Roman Baths and Royal Crescent.

Excellent, except for a poor breakfast. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. Only downside was a disappointing breakfast. No hot food, only continental with a poor selection and tepid coffee from a Thermos. Pricey at £14.95. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but again the choice looked limited - mainly pizzas. Had the food been better it would have been five stars.

Fabulous property, loads of character and in a great setting in a quiet and safe location. Room was wonderful, spacious and well appointed with fabulous bed and bathroom. The only downside was a TV missing a controller ( that the staff were unable to source a replacement), the toilet cistern leaking a bit onto the floor. We were shown the continental breakfast, but no mention of a cooked breakfast being available until half way through - the cooked is far better value. All in all a great hotel, that with a little more TLC would be fabulous.

The property was very run down, the bed needed replacing very uncomfortable, slip mat in bathroom as moldy and had loads of holes in it. Noise from the room above was awful especially at 6.00 am in the morning. Continental breakfast not bad, cooked breakfast fine. We ate in the restaurant one night and food was excellent. Would not recommend this hotel until a full refurbishment has been made.

I had to move rooms as the tv did not work in the 1st room but the hotel gave me a similar grade room if not a little higher. I could not fault them at all, everything was done swiftly.
I would suggest the hotel acquired more fans. I requested one as the temp had been 33 where I had come from, they did find me a small electric one that clipped on a table but I believe this was it.
There was confusion on check in. I had opted for paying at the hotel but when I got there, apparently payment had been taken 48 hrs before & the receptionist had taken the same payment again that morning before I arrived. I was assured a refund had been given but I haven’t been given a copy of the refund.
On check out I needed to leave at 08.40 but reception didn’t start until 9.00 I was asked to complete a form requesting an emailed receipt of my invoice which I dutifully did & placed on the desk on the keyboard but I have not received anything yet, 20hrs later.
I must say the gentleman that organised my room change & finding a fan was indeed helpful.

Breakfast was very expensive but it was very good quality with probably local sausages (large) nice back bacon and all the trimmings. Other cooked options were available. Would stay there again and can recommend for sure.

Wifi wasn't working when we were there, and room was not like the pics. Was looking forward to the more original old fashioned looking room. Though obviously a lot of work went into renovating the outside rooms, and the views and gardens were amazing. Breakfast option was expensive.

A lovely hotel with great staff, who are a credit to the hotel. The room was nice and although i personally found the bed too soft, my partner slept well.
The coffee machine in the reception area was a nice touch.
The only negative really is the price of the food in the restaurant - £20 for cauliflower on some mash potato with a bit of veg is steep to say the least. Although we obviously could have found somewhere else to eat, after a long drive and day out, we just wanted to relax. I think if they lower their prices then they may have more customers in their restaurant.
Finally, there is no separate shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom - its body wash and shampoo combined. So perhaps take your own shampoo.
That said, i would stay again and would recommend this hotel. Next time i would just eat out.

In particular there was young man on in the evenings (Didn't catch his name) and a lady in the mornings (Also didn't catch her name) but they were amazing.

We met up with other members of our family who live in different parts of the UK. Although concerned we might be cold, in fact we were quite comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room a good size. We didn’t ask for a ground floor room but were happy to see one had been allocated as my wife has issues with stairs.
We only booked the room and then added the evening meal. We are still getting over the shock , just shy of £100 for two meals and that was with 10% discount!. We didn’t qualify for resident prices as we only ate in on one night.

This is one of my favorite places to stay with beautiful understated grounds and gardens, stone walls, replete with history, privacy, quiet, amazingly accommodating and friendly staff, excellent service, always clean rooms. Absolutley beautiful grounds and venue, staff were friendly and room was really nice. The first night was lovely however the 2nd night there was a wedding which we had not been warned about. We struggled to park our car and had to squish it in to a small gap which we were worried we would find damages, the music was 'thud thud thud' from the wedding room even with all the windows closed, children were knocking our door and running off aswell as other children sat outside our room screeching till late. Had we been warned we may have booked somewhere else for some peace as we had booked the weekend away for a peaceful break.

Have been a guest at a wedding and last stayed here 5 years ago. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. But sadly the main interior and bedrooms haven’t changed, look a little worse for wear and could do with being completely refurbished. Food was ok, but menu not particularly exciting. A shame as a lovely building and location deserves better.

I booked and was charged for a superior room but given a standard room. Same room as advertised as standard room on photo. (I complained and was refunded the difference but only AFTER I showed photos to manager). Also rooms are motel style range rooms NOT in Manor House which is impression given on booking site. Also confusion over meal discounts. Generally gives impression that it is over selling and under delivering which is a pity because if it told the truth it is good value for money. Problem lies with advertising not product.

Location very quiet and peaceful. Booked on room only basis, and breakfast was available as an extra, but I thought the choice limited and expensive. For example, you could have an English breakfast, but it was too large. As a result, I only had breakfast on the first morning of a 3 night stay. Could hotel not offer a smaller cooked breakfast at a lower price?

Staff were very friendly and organised a drink for me when I arrived even earlier than the early check in I had organised.

The first room we was offered had clearly not been cleaned and still had a larger glass in it and the pillow case had not been changed as was all wrinkled up. We were then offered two more rooms, one so hot that we certainly wouldn't have wanted to sleep in it, the second was an attic room which although was fresher had a mouldy smell.
