We have travelled a bit of late - and I must say this is by far the best customer service experience we have ever had. Every facet of it all - incl meals, rooms, beach, hospitality was outstanding.
LOVED this hotel from the moment we arrived, it is beyond beautiful. We had the meal plan and the food was outstanding.

Good: clean, modern, cool rooms/patios, good service, easy walk to a small strip of good shops and restaurants.

Bad: I thought I might like the architecture, but ultimately was just a little too strange. Also, the main dinner/bar area was rented out for an event, so that wasn’t great since we had planned to go there. Our particular unit was in a corner and one of the only units with a pretty bad angle to the water. They were not willing to move us unless we wanted to pay an additional 250/night, which wasn’t cool since they had space available. But the biggest annoyance is how difficult and bizarre it is to get down to the gym and beach. Probably takes 10min? just to get down to the beach. Considering this is a beachfront property, that concept just doesn’t make any sense

The design of this hotel was absolutely unique to other luxury hotels we’ve stayed in. Using water features instead of landscaping made the whole stay feel more unique, and the first floor suite was gorgeous. All the employees were friendly and super attentive and helpful, and the personal concierge service was excellent and quickly responsive. Only small suggestion would be to have more pool chairs available, but it’s really a gorgeous property and a great stay.

The staff is very friendly and makes a genuine effort to provide good service. However, for a hotel that markets itself as high-end, there is room for improvement. Certain details made our stay unnecessarily stressful, especially when traveling with a small child.

I would not recommend this hotel for families with babies or toddlers. We wanted to visit the Gallery District with our two-year-old daughter, which is only a five-minute drive from the hotel. Since taxis and Ubers usually do not provide car seats, we asked our butler for help with transportation. We were told the only option was to hire the hotel’s service for $300, which felt unreasonable for such a short trip. Given the hotel’s emphasis on comfort and a stress-free experience, we expected more flexibility or a fairer solution.

For the price we paid (around $2,000 for three non–all-inclusive nights), attention to detail was lacking. We also experienced repeated internet issues and eventually had to change rooms because the Chromecast was not working.

Overall, the hotel is attractive and the staff is well-intentioned, but for the price, it fell short of delivering the stress-free experience we expected.

We returned to Viceroy after visiting two years ago and was greeted warmly our first morning by Rosa and Miguel who not only remembered us but also our food preferences! All the staff took great care to make sure all our needs and wants were fulfilled. The rooms and resort grounds are magnificent and provide the perfect beach getaway.

Victor/jacob team were wonderful. Kept in touch with us by text, victor came to the room to meet us. Jacob went to our room to check on the tv. They were warm and friendly and easy to talk to!! The room was very nice but needed hooks in the bathroom for towels and robes. Every staff person we interacted with was kind and helpful

Very unaccommodating considering we both got terribly ill with the flu right before arrival, not to mention highly contagious—we opted to leave the resort out of concern for everyone else's safety, and the resort would not lift a finger to help us with the circumstances. They repeatedly denied my request for a voucher (not even a refund!) to stay at the resort in a couple months, which I was willing to book on the spot. I have just booked my next Cabo vacation at the Waldorf, happily spending more money for the peace of mind that they will treat us like humans (not revenue items like Viceroy).

The elevators were not working properly, waiting 10 to 15 minutes at our floor then walk down 5 flights of stairs.
There is a difference between paying for an expensive item and feeling like you have been ripped off. We felt for the cost of food and drink was a rip off. $25. US dollars for 4 oz glass of Mexican wine, and $14. US for a bottle of water we felt was unreasonable. It was an experience however we will not be back.

We recently stayed at the Viceroy Los Cabos and found the property to be absolutely beautiful. The architecture and design are stunning, and the views are truly breathtaking—definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
That said, there were a few areas that could be improved. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations, especially given the level and price point of the resort. Additionally, while the main room was comfortable, the pull-out bed/couch provided for our son was very uncomfortable—you could clearly feel the springs, which made it difficult for him to get a good night’s sleep.
We also found that activities on the property were quite limited. There was little to do during the day, particularly for families traveling with children. Because of this, the resort may be better suited as an adults-only property, as there is not much offered to keep kids engaged.
Overall, the Viceroy Los Cabos is visually stunning and peaceful, but guests traveling with children or those looking for more activities and stronger dining options may want to consider these factors when booking.

Viceroy is a beautiful architect designed hotel. The staff is incredibly helpful, our room was superior with king bed, couch and dining area. We enjoyed the plunge pool. Lunch at the beach was amazing, very fresh ingredients.
Only FYI is if you need an uber, you have meet them at street level.

The Viceroy hotel which is now owned by Hyatt, has somewhat changed lowered its standards but kept the same or even higher price tag! I frequent this hotel in Beverly Hills, so I’m a custom to the price tag and services it offers.
This trip I took all my girls, lol, wife daughter mother -in law God mother and they had a wonderful time.

The staff at the entrance those guys are amazing the car pick up drop off and valet service is awesome, the hotel check is wasn’t bad, the part I had a prblm with is that people tend to judge a book by its cover, or should I say a hint of prejudice going on with the staff or perhaps it’s the way things go I’m not sure. I went to buy a drink and the waiter explained to me tht hey this drink is very expensive even wanted to show me how much it cost per drink, lol, okay we’re on vacation we’ve prepared for everything, I noticed he didn’t others hmmm then later on at the dinner restaurant on the rooftop the reservation was mad by our private butler and they wouldn’t give us preferred seating, even after the reservation was made for preferred seating, but the dinner food was amazing the steak and the beef was tender and succulent awesome job chef!!!!! The pool was clean everyday the breakfast was delicious the overall staff was very courteous! A few bad apples can ruin it tho.

The location is good construction goin on around it, I had a chance to play golf at Puerto Golf Club give it shot if you enjoy golf! It’s worth the price tag!

Alexander and Mariana.
They went the extra mile for us to make sure all our needs are being addressed.
We had some miss communications with some stuffs in the hotel, but they immediately made sure to solve it and made us very comfortable and happy. The experience wouldn’t be the same without them.

This was a splurge vacation for us, and it was one we’ll never forget! We opted to do the all-inclusive as we brought our 8 and 11 year olds and it was beyond worthwhile. Every last detail is considered, the food is incredible, the facilities are beautiful, and the staff are exceptional. Manuel and Estefanía from Host Services were so attentive and readily available for anything we needed, restaurant and poolside staff were incredibly friendly and provided a true experience. There are too many to name, but Jesus, Juan, Oscar, and the hilarious duo Abraham and Carlos at Nido all created a magical week! It is tranquil, calming and gorgeous. We dream of going back!!

Spa was great. Had a really good massage. Loved going to the pool, Alberto was the best waiter!!!, the room was a bit loud unfortunately. Wasn’t really able to sleep in due to the noise. But the resort itself is gorgeous as well as the amenities such as the pool. Really close to the town and the art walk was amazing!!! Ubers are easily accessible.

Our second year staying at the Viceroy. Last year, it was a 10/10 experience.

This time, the food and drinks have completely changed. We were warned last year by a bartender. He said the new management was going towards an all you can eat/drink direction. Sure enough, he was right. The food was terrible this trip. Drinks were watered down. You can’t be a luxury resort and also have all inclusive.

Also, the crowd completely changed……hence the all inclusive option. It was mellow and relaxing last year. This time, we had multiple party rooms near the pool killing any chance of relaxing.

It’s a bummer because the staff is still incredible. We were upgraded to a junior suite both years which was great. But for the money, we will look for somewhere else next time.

I booked a room with a “double bed” to find out it is NOT a full size mattress. It was smaller than a full size mattress and a little bigger than a twin. That was misleading and I was extremely disappointed to find out. Had to upgrade to a jr. Suite because the hotel did not have two queen beds available.
All restaurants are expensive and I’m my opinion, not great.
Service in the rooms were excellent but I can’t say the same for the bartender that works at casero restaurant. I never saw her smile once. Where the the customer service skills? It would annoy me to see her.
I will not be staying here again. Resort was clean, nice and their gym was great but it’s not enough to make me stay there again.

The hotel is located in a hotel area, very conveniently located to a supermarket and the dolphin adventure. We were disappointed not to be greeted with a drink and cool towel like most of the other hotels that we have stayed at in San Jose del Cabo. The the person who checked us in upon our arrival, continued to let us know not to make any noises of any sort and reiterated that as if we were being stereotyped. On multiple occasions, I asked Oscar or concierge and Norberto, who were both in charge of making our reservations to please acknowledge my boyfriend‘s birthday during our dinner in a walk at the restaurant. This was not done and the whole trip was for my boyfriend‘s birthday. I was disappointed that I had to ask on two separate occasions for a wine opener because ours kept breaking. On our last day during breakfast, I also asked the manager to please acknowledge my boyfriend‘s birthday during our breakfast in which she forgot and then walked over a chocolate cake to our room, which I did appreciate but frankly, it was a little too late. We did enjoy the spa and had drinks next to the pool and relaxed in lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. I just would have wished that this property took a little more time to concentrate on the details and pay attention to birthdays because that was the whole reason for this trip.
