An absolutely exceptional stay. The staff were lighthearted, genuinely friendly, and incredibly attentive to every detail. The architecture and layout of the hotel are stunning, with a design that constantly makes you feel as though you’re in a private, secluded retreat.

The spa is, without question, the most incredible spa I’ve ever experienced, paired with consistently outstanding service throughout the property. The constant concierge presence made everything effortless.

The beaches are beautiful and very private, with striking rock formations that make the setting feel truly special. There are also thoughtful, memorable details throughout the experience—some of my favorites were delightful surprises I won’t spoil here.

Simply put, this hotel sets a new standard. Truly unforgettable.

Excellent room and facilities. The grounds are beautiful. Service is excellent. And only 25 min from the airport, in San Jose Del Cabo. We had a wonderful few days away as a couple. I liked it better than Cabo. Be aware, the spa is amazing but very pricey- as in for 90 min couples massage was nearly 50% higher in price than in the states. That said, the spa was beautiful and the service amazing- just expect to pay more

From the pickup in the private car at the airport to the surprise vow renewal, planned by the F&B staff, Zadun was a 500 out of 10!
Carlos, Edgar, Crystian, and about 10 other amazing staff made our stay in Residence 14(with 3 other couples as our guests for a week) unforgettable. Only property will we use in Mexico

Best time ever!

From the beginning, it was absolutely amazing. I chose to get an airport transportation through the hotel. Everything was seamless and as described. I was picked up in the suburban and dropped off in a navigator. Both trucks were pristine and very clean. Both drivers were very friendly and informative, and answered all the questions that I had. Once at the hotel, I was greeted and lead to check in by my daytime Tosoani/butler Guillermo, at check in someone was waiting there to make a drink of my preference and then I checked in. Everyone was so friendly and happy to see you there. I was then hand-delivered to spa staff whom presented me with a gift certificate for 2 hours of hydrotherapy. After that, I was escorted to my room by golf cart and once there I was shown around the entire room and shown how everything works. Everything was explained in detail and perfectly. My nighttime Tosoani, Diego introduced himself and made himself available to me throughout the night if I needed anything. Both Tosoani's communicate by text message, which makes everything very simple and easy. They set me up with dinner, reservations, a private dinner on the beach, and also suggested their recommendations for excursions off the resort grounds. As a solo traveler, I felt very taken care of and very safe the entire time. The entire staff made me feel seen and important. I went during off-season (Aug), so there weren't a lot of guest there, which was perfect. I'd definitely go back again.

My day was very nice. Everyone was really helpful. My butlers Mario and Rodrigo took very good care of me. It was a very large resort and everything seemed pretty new. The room smelled really good when you walked in it was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was, it was not all inclusive, and there were a lot of things that you had to pay extra for but the peace and quiet was worth all the money.

Beautiful Property, Terrible Service – Not Worth the Price

Unfortunately, our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Cabo was far from five-star. From the moment we arrived, service was slow, disorganized, and inconsistent. It took over 30 minutes to get help at the pool, and nearly an hour to place drink and food orders — and this happened more than once. Despite having a “butler,” we constantly had to ask for basic service.

Loud neighbors went unchecked for hours, and when it rained briefly, the pool and restaurant shut down with no effort to assist guests — no umbrellas, no carts, no communication. Worst of all, part of the ceiling collapsed in our bathroom while my daughter was inside. The response was slow, impersonal, and careless. No one followed up to check on her. When I brought it up at checkout, the manager just blamed the butler and apologized — no resolution, no gesture of accountability.

The property is beautiful and the food was good, but the service and management were a major letdown. Mauricio at the bar was the only standout. We won’t be returning and do not recommend wasting your money here.

The best resort experience in every possible way. The rooms are lovely, the grounds are pretty, the pools are relaxing, and the food is top shelf (every single meal was a standout). But what really makes Zadún shine is the service. Everyone is beyond pleasant, cheerful, helpful, accommodating and caring. They do go out of their way to make any special celebrations noteworthy. I cannot say enough, or find enough properly effusive adjectives, to give the staff and resulting atmosphere due credit. It is not possible to overstate how much we enjoyed our trip.

I am very picky and do lots of planning before choosing. Ritz surpassed our expectations and we will for sure come back. The staff was incredible and our butlers were top notch. The staff was great with my child’s allergies and made us feel very welcome. The gym was also really nice with lots of great machines and free weights. We will return for sure!

Zadun is a beautiful location with amazing landscaping and views and well trained, kind and professional staff. I and my kids were called by our name in every staff encounter. The beach has huge waves creating a spectacular booming crash on the shore, but that also makes it very dangerous for kids. There are amazing pools kept at a perfect temperature instead. The spa has excellent facilities if you book a treatment and programs for very light yoga and meditation that are mostly complimentary. Food is top notch and top priced. The wine list was not reasonable price for the selection, so I had cocktails top priced as well, but discouraged over drinking (at least for me) and were delicious. The best amenities for me, however, were the ambassadors program for the kids and our tosanari. My kids were spoiled by Zadun and treated as respectfully as I was treated at all times. My kids' special requests were always accommodated. My son got a few bug bites from playing in the sand and when I asked for advice about them, I was surprised to find a medication for him in the room with a handwritten note wishing him a speedy recovery from the bite accompanied by a paint set and activity pad. On this note I would say to adults only travellers who don't like kids, there are rooms with privacy, plunge pools and a responsive room service team where you can relax in peace. Zadun is a great choice for your next luxury vacation that I strongly recommend.

The Zadun Ritz Carleton is an extremely elegant and secluded property with top notch service and excellent food. The grounds are amazing and the dining options don't disapoint.
If privacy and peace are important to you I can't imagine finding a more ideal hotel. The tradeoff to this is that you are removed from the town and you will need transportation if you want to do anything off property.

We had an incredible experience at Zandun! The property is gorgeous, the amenities are top-shelf, and the service is first-class! Not to mention incredible the restaurants and 24-hour room service. They have a great workout facility (and protein bar) if you exercise.

We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. We also need to recognize our Tosani (Nicolas) and beach concierge (Amyris). They were there at every turn and anticipated every need we had.

Highly recommend Zandun a Ritz Carlton Reserve!

My wife and I take a trip to Cabo on a yearly basis. For the last 15 plus years we have only stayed at another 5 star resort and residences. This is our first time staying at another property, but this time with the kids as well. I can't say enough about this resort. Probably tied with the best resort we have ever stayed at. The property is immaculate, staff and service was incredible, and the food was top notch. Our family excursions for beach day and whale watching, along with all our transportation needs were taken care of down to every detail. Our \"Tosoanis\" (or personal concierges) were incredible as well. Food was top notch. In my reviews of hotels, I usually will at least mention at least one flaw, and I honestly can't think of one. Also, this is our first time staying farther north near San Jose Del Cabo. It was a pleasure to be so close to the town and be able to go there for a few dinners off property. San Jose is so much nicer and family friendly that going to actual Cabo farther down south. Cannot recommend this property more.

A wonderful experience overall

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Zadun, and would likely return. The property is beautiful and well-situated, taking advantage of the hillside to afford excellent views. The staff and service are excellent, as one would expect at this price point. The hotel also does little things like host complimentary stargazing sessions and such to entertain guests, which was very nice. A few notes for people as you make plans:

The food throughout the resort is solid Cocktails are nothing special and priced upwards of $25. This adds up quickly. The signature restaurant, Humo, did not impress. For two people to eat here (with two cocktails total and no other alcohol) cost $450. The food was good, but not as good as other places we ate at in the town of San Jose Del Cabo itself for half the price. In other words, get off the reservation. The restaurant, Equis, was our favorite on property, though El Barrio is also great as the everyday eatery.

I felt somewhat misled by pictures of the beautiful beach, given that the water is unswimmable due to rocks on the shoreline. I’m sure this is written somewhere on the website, but I didn’t see it. Granted, this is the case for most of Cabo, so if you want to swim in the ocean, you probably need to stay at the Montage, which was a very similar experience to Zadun.

Ubers are easy to obtain, so take advantage to go into San Jose.
