Entire Hotel worn and neglected, toilet backed up several times, internet connection almost non existent. Insufficient sunbeds to service guests unless you set your alarm for 5.30 am. Fridge not refilled everyday as stated. Food mediocre although we paid for the upgraded Altitude Tower. Not 5 star by any measurement.

In general the property met our expectations. Where it miserably failed: at check in room was not ready, could not find staff to take us to the room when it was. After finally getting to room we found there were no towels. Had to chase down and the bigger problem is that this happened 4 times in our two week stay.

Room had an amazing view, Staff was great l, room was cleaned well every day, water and refreshments restocked every day, location was phenominal, lots of whale acrion, resort was kept up well and washrooms were clean, food was tasty, live shows on the beach, propane fire tables on the beach at night. Good for families; lots of kids for our children to play with.
AC wasnt very effective but otherwise it was a great stay.

The Expedia Concierge Staff were exceptional, special thanks to Brissa, Roberto and Gabriel. Brissa, assisted in formulating an itinerary for our 2 night trip to La Paz, recommending places of interest to stop at and restaurants.
The Krystal Grand Hotel did not disappoint, the room we were first assigned had 2 beds and the air conditioning unit was faulty. We had requested a king bed, we were moved the next day to a king bed and this room was good.
We enjoyed most if the specialty restaurants although the food could be served hotter, a few times we requested to have are food warmed.

The Expedia Staff at the hotel were outstanding! Brissa, Robert, Gabriel, Gustavo ( bellboy) were incredibly helpful in very which way from before arrival , and continued to be throughout our 20 day stay until our day of departure!!!
We felt well taken care of, listened to , and action taken when we needed to change suites. Thank you especially to Brissa!
After 14 days we were upgraded to the Altitude benefits which made our stay even better… from the roof top, special dinners, Altitude lounge , restaurants for breakfast and lunches! Amazing! All thanks to Brissa and Roberto!
Brissa was extremely helpful when she planned a lovely road trip for us to La Paz! Also trips into San Jose , were extra nice because of her recommendations! They definitely gave us a wonderful experience at the Krystal Grand Los Cabos.

This place was extremely disappointing. The adult pool was turning green and so cloudy that you couldn't see the bottom, which is unacceptable. On top of that, the sewer pump was broken, so the entire pool area smelled like sewage. The sink and shower water in our room also had a sewage smell.

We arrived at 4:30 PM to check in, even though check-in time is listed as 3:00 PM, and were told our room was not ready. Staff suggested we eat while we waited, but the restaurant closed at 5:00 PM and refused to seat us, leaving us stuck with no room and no food.

When we finally got to the room, there were no towels, the safe did not work, and although there was an ironing board, there was no iron. One day our room was not cleaned at all, and we had to call just to get towels.

The property itself looks dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. The rooms are very old-looking, and the walls are so thin that we were woken up daily by noise from neighboring rooms. While the price is cheap, I would much rather pay more for a cleaner, better-maintained place.

I wouldn't even consider this a resort -- it feels more like a run-down hotel. I would not recommend staying here.

Brissa and Gabriel were VERY helpful and friendly! If you go here, go see them.

We really enjoyed our stay here, and it was largely due to how friendly the staff were. A gentleman by the name of Sergio was our favourite, he always had a smile on his face and was very kind to us. We primarily dined at The Grill where he typically worked because we enjoyed interacting with him so much.

Some honourable mentions go out to the rooftop bartender Hugo and our wonderful room cleaner Luciano. Again, both were extremely friendly and kind and always put a smile on our faces.

Our one week stay was everything we wanted and more. We loved all the different areas and pools. The views were stunning and beach was gorgeous.
We were curious what to expect with the food because there are such mixed reviews but we really enjoyed it!
The Take a Bite Cafe could have been a little better—the espresso was quite weak.
At the breakfast buffet, the omelette stations were the highlight, and sitting outside practically on the beach with an ocean view was incredible. We even saw some whales while eating breakfast!
The Surfos Snack Bar had the best fish tacos I think I’ve ever had. And the cook Fernando was incredible. He was so personable and kind. When we asked for hot sauce and he didn’t have any, without asking he went and got us some from the restaurant—absolutely over and above.
The variety of seafood the resort had on the whole was excellent.
Risotto (Italian) was our favourite restaurant.
Truly though, the staff are what made this resort the unexpected awesomeness that it was.
Manuel and Lilly were lovely, kind, attentive poolside waiters. We really appreciated them and enjoyed seeing them each day.
Raúl, the bartender at the sports bar, was fantastic! Playing pool and sipping his cocktails made our evenings.
We also are super thankful to Urias. He hosted karaoke and archery and was so fun, kind, and engaging. He truly went over an above to make us feel welcome. Our experience at the altitude rooftop bar was a highlight of our week. Hugo the bartender

The staff were so kind and helpful. The location was beautiful. Other than that the cleanliness was pretty lacking all around. we were given sheets with blood stains on them. The cups that the drinks are given in at the pool and bars are not cleaned at all, only rinsed briefly with tap water by hand and placed in a stack and given to someone else right after you. I suggest bringing your own cup and washing it yourself often. The food taste was fine but not good. Me and my partner got extremely sick to the point we were throwing up for over 24 hours and needed medical attention. we did not eat or drink anywhere else besides the resort. The pool was too cold for people to go in so everyone was piled into the two small hot tubs at the adult pool that were the temperature of a warm bath and they were very dirty. The chairs by the pool were very limited and were all very dirty. The room was very loud all day and all night you could hear the traffic along the road because the door had huge gaps all around the frame. The tv was very old and had no other function but a couple cable channels. The restaurants are not open all the time. One or two of them were closed every day. and the others were only open for dinner.

The main generator broke down which caused the emergency generator to turn on. The emergency generator blared throughout he entire resort for 24 hours a day. It also meant that the air conditioning was not working in the rooms. Although we were booked for 7 days, we checked out after 2 days and found another hotel. I am expecting Expedia to refund me for the 5 days that I never used.

There were some major issues on my arrival due to a power problem at the resort and a super loud generator running. People literally had earplugs in at the pool. I was told I couldn’t get a refund and that it would be off at 8 PM. This wasn’t the case. Finally by the next morning it was off. I have to say Roberto at the Expedia desk at the hotel saved the day. I had wanted to change hotels on my arrival, but I wasn’t able to determine if I would get a refund. That was really frustrating, but Expedia came through for me and upgraded my access at the resort. I also ended up getting a refund after the trip was over which was fantastic. In the end, Expedia really went out of its way to compensate me for my trip. I’m very grateful for that. I’m also glad that I booked through Expedia as they had a special desk at the resort it made getting dinner reservations and dealing with problems, check out etc much easier.
I never did get AC in my room but for the price it really was a nice resort.

Resort is average. It needs some updating and refreshing-pool is not heated. Pool chairs are both too few and worn out. Buffet is so underwhelming I stopped eating there, food is in chafing dishes that you have to open to see the food, I’ve never seen an all inclusive like that. Very limited selection. Main restaurants were good, the Italian was very good and the evening outdoor themed buffet they do is also quite good. The lunch menu at Surfo look bar is very good, excellent guacamole and fish tacos. Japanese menu is good, skip the teppanyaki which is mediocre and go for the sushi and menu items. The coffee bar is great, really liked having a tea or coffee anytime of day. The rooms were fine, but showing some signs of wear. No loungers on the beach at all. Extremely limited evening activity or entertainment. I wouldn’t return-they need to do some fixes and it could be really good.

Great place to stay. Fun activities planned out in the day and decent food. Unfortunately the power went out for 2 days and a loud power generator was going off due to the inconvenience, overall the stay was nice. Another inconvenience was how fresh towels were forgotten to be put in our rooms twice. The rooms were very cozy and spacious. Staff were friendly. Restrooms were clean. I’d visit them again

Various staff members were exceptional - Concierge Gabriel and Brissa were outstanding, arranging golf games, restaurant reservations, inside information of what San Jose has to offer, and their command of the English language was exceptional.
Linda at the front desk was very customer focused and did a great job when we had to request a room change because the power outage in town causing the generator to be activated directly below our room.
Kudos to the entire resort for making the best of a tough situation during the power outage. They all carried on with great hospitality and smiles on their faces all the time.
Resort was well laid out and offered a good variety of restaurants. Food was very good and tasty. Cleaning staff was prompt, courteous and efficient.

Cleanliness of hotel was good! Bars were always running out of something. Beautiful beach, but no chairs or umbrellas to use. Nightly entertainment was poor and not every night.

The staff at Krystal Grand Los Cabos were simply outstanding. From the servers at the restuarants to the pool staff. They were all very happy and helpful and Yolanda and Angela always made us feel special. Roberto the concierge addressed any questions we had immediately and made our stay remarkable, as did his colleague Gabriel. This was our second time at the resort and we'll definitely be returning. The pools and beach were beautiful and the Friday night Fiesta is a must. The dinner we had at the sushi restaurant was some of the most delicious tuna we've ever had.

Transformer blew and had no air conditioning for 2 1/2 days. Room was right next to back-up generator and was so loud that everyone had to wear earplugs. Finally on 3rd night was given a room away from the generator. Minimal bath towels, no washcloths. Some of reservations at restaurants were not honored for various reasons. Not offered a refund for 2 nights that we requested. Was my 5th stay at Krystal Grande and might be my last if we are not granted a refund for 2 sleepless nights.

The resort was beautiful. The staff “Gabriel, Roberto, and Brissa was so helpful and kind. The excursion sales staff “Damian and Tania” was also awesome. Please stop by and book your fun activities with them. They’ll give you honesty and the best prices. Tell them Ashley sent you!

I traveled solo and I felt safe the entire time. One night I actually by accident slept with my room door unlocked and had no problems. My first night there the mini fridge was making an annoying noise and I spoke to the concierge staff about it. I left to attend an event I had planned. By the time I came back they were so kind they upgraded my room for the inconvenience. All I wanted was for them to do was switch out the fridge, but I was grateful.

I truly enjoyed my stay. It was also very clean. The food wasn’t the best to me but I’m a picky eater and I didn’t go to all the restaurants to inquire either. So, what I did try I didn’t like but the snack bar was the best to me.

Another thing I’m really big on is the staff knowing who I am and not making me feel weird. Well the staff here addressed me by my name the entire time and greeted me with smiles and a very welcoming spirit. I felt like I had new family members. Thank you so much to all of you guys. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

I had a bit of a rough start during my first night here—my room was quite close to the highway, and the traffic noise made it hard to get any real rest. However, the way the hotel handled it completely turned my vacation around.
A huge shoutout to Gabriel and Roberto at the Concierge! They were incredibly understanding and teamed up to arrange a complimentary upgrade for me to the Altitude Tower.
What really impressed me was the personal touch: Gabriel was so concerned that I might still be unhappy that he personally walked me to the new room to make sure it was exactly the quiet sanctuary I needed. I also want to thank Brisa for her warm and professional attitude throughout my stay.
Moving to the Altitude Tower made all the difference—the peace, quiet, and views are exactly what I came to Cabo for. It’s rare to find a team that genuinely cares this much about their guests' comfort. If you have any issues, just talk to these guys; they are the best!

First let me say the first day was pretty amazing, from check in to the staff. The next day I had several issues. One our bathroom sink faucet handle broke. Trying to get it fixed was like pulling teeth. I believe the simple solution would have been to move us but the manager on duty at front desk declined. Sink was broke for six hours. Three people looked at it and never returned. I called front desk several time and never could speak with a manager, because I was told the line was long. I finally went to counter and was told to be patient and give two more hours. Second problem at dinner I wanted two pieces of fish. The waiter made me wait for a hour in between servings. I questioned him he stated “ It’s a different plate” then he walked off. Mind you this is all inclusive. Not happy about that. Food portions could be larger, but presentation is good. I brought both problems to Brissa’s (concierge)attention and situation was rectified. We were upgraded. Me and my husband felt respected and happy. There were some pretty amazing staff here are a few. Brissa, Gabriel, Cora, Ismael, Caesar,Sergio, Carlos, Urael. Thank you for a great stay and we would return.

We had a nice stay. I requested a king bed, but we were given two beds. Nobody at the pool followed the rules. All sun loungers were taken by 7am and the towel area did not open until 8am.

Only one day of our 9 day stay did we actually get a lounger. The rest of our stay we sat on a picnic table or the ground. That was not fun.

Once there, room was wrong. Told the next day we could get the right room. Next day water was coming in the room, told maintenance. Did not care. Had to take all the towels and put them at the wall to stop the water. Again infomed the person at the desk were we checked in. Moved rooms finally. Then had a screaming baby next to us in the adults only section. Was told oh they arent supposed to be there. Then had a loud party going on til 1am, was told oh security should have done something at 10pm. It was just one bad thing after another. We stayed there because we had prior and it was wonderful, this time was the complete opposite

This place was really nice and for the most part the staff was friendly but sometimes it would be a hit or miss, some of the staff seemed really annoyed with any slightest inconvenience. Also, when room service would clean our room when we were gonna, we would come back and our personal stuff would be in a different place and moved and opened. I think that is unacceptable, an invasion of someone’s privacy, made us feel unsafe, and extremely unprofessional. Especially for an all inclusive place, it’s really disappointing. Other than that I really enjoyed it and they helped coordinate something special for celebrating an anniversary.

The resort itself is nice, for the price we paid we can’t complain a whole lot… but, the food was not great, we were there for 10 days and only had a few good meals. As for drinks, they were hit and miss as well, some were really good and others were really bad (not blended at all, watered down)
The best place to get a drink from this resort was the timeout bar, the bartender in there was amazing.

Most of the staff were good to deal with and very helpful.

Not great for entertainment (day and night) at nighttime we found there was not much to do at all, a few things going on here and there but pretty boring.

Overall, I would maybe rate this place a 3 star, as I said the building itself is really nice it’s everything else that seems to be lacking.

Food was hit or miss. 3 great pools. 1 is an adult pool which had a bar and food service from your pool waiter who was spectacular. Quiet resort. Some nights fun stuff on the beach with bomb fires.
They ran out of diet pop which was bad and they ran out of rye whiskey.
Upgrade to Altitude was great but very pricey. We were charged in American $$$ which makes no sense.
All and all not a bad resort.
Walking to anywhere is very far.

Our overall experience at the Krystal Grand Los Cabos was relaxing and enjoyable. The resort has a beautiful beachfront location with stunning views of the ocean, perfect for sunrise pictures and peaceful walk. The property itself is clean, well kept and modern feel.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Whether it was at the front desk, the restaurants, or around the pool area everyone made an effort to ensure guests were comfortable. Service at the bars and restaurants was generally quick and drinks were always made well.
The pools were definitely a highlight, spacious clean and with plenty of seating.
Our love suite in Altitude building is the most loving in the resort. We had our own private pool.
I definitely consider staying again for relaxing beachfront getaway with our kids and parents. Thank you Krystal Grand for made our anniversary special and memorable. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My adult daughter and I spent 8 nights at the Krystal Grand in San Jose del Cabo in January. We originally booked an Ocean View Junior Suite but upgraded to an Altitude Ocean Front before arrival. Because of that, I never saw what an Ocean View room looked like, but we were very happy to be in the Altitude tower Ocean Front. Our room was on the 7th floor which was very convenient to access the Sky Lounge on the roof top, just one floor up. There is one elevator for the building which is noisy and a little unsettling but it always got the job done. As an Altitude guest, we did get some extra perks which definitely made the vacation better. The benefits included: access to the Sky Lounge (open 3-10 pm on the roof top; it was never busy)...access to a special palapa with it's own bar, snacks, coffee and cold drinks...access to a la carte restaurants for breakfast and lunch...a concierge to make reservations for dinner. Because of the a la carte options, we only ate at the buffet once. Food was acceptable; nothing fancy. The breakfasts were always hot and fresh and the lunch options included yummy burgers, chicken fingers, fries, etc. Our only bad experience with food was in Ayami, the Asian restaurant. The teppanyaki food was excellent but the regular table service food was mushy and soggy. We spent no time at all in the regular pool area, instead hanging at the adult-only pool. It was generally quiet, as advertised. Overall a good vacation!

The staff were all pretty accommodating. My wife and I went to enjoy her birthday and our last as a couple because we will be adding one to the party! Ramiro greeted us with smile and candor a for me a welcome mimosa. And a Shirley remodel for my wife. My concierge were Gabriel, who booked our food reservations anns anlway asled of there were any Allergies and made sure we had everything we needed from the moment we got there, and Brissa helped us when checking out. Ensuring it went smoothly. There was one night when it was BBQ night and I tasted the ribs they prepared. They were very delicious with a sweet hint of pineapple. I asked the chef did it have pineapple because my wife is allergic and she wanted to try, the chef said no. I said are you sure, because I can taste it. She said no. I also asked the waiter and at first he said no it doesn’t so we believed him and she had some. Minutes later he came back saying yes it did have pineapple, by that time my wife was getting itchy a starting to form small hives of her face and belly. I was so sad about that, because a chef should ALWAYS know what they are making especially for allergies. We asked if they had allergy medicine but they said only for sale on the gift shop, which was $18,$24. They also offered to have the most n site doctor come by. We just returned to our room and she drank some water and rested with the medicine and she as better. The site leader at that time was Gabriel checked on us.could have been prevented

This hotel is great but has a few challenges. Pool and beach are fantastic! The staff were also amazing! Especially our Expedia concierge Brissa! The hotel is located close to San Jose and Los Cabos - however it’s located on a busy highway and the traffic noise can be heard clearly all night from your room. The food was hit and miss at the buffets - and although we were told we didn’t need to make reservations at the restaurants we were turned away a couple of times. The Mexican restaurant and Asian restaurant were both fantastic!
When it was busy there didn’t seem to be enough chairs near the pool and it was recommended not to swim in the water, you could feel the current in the water was strong.
Overall we had a great stay! It was a chill experience with beautiful views, we even saw whales jumping every morning. Perfect for quick adult getaway.

Les chambres et l’hotel sont très propre. Il y a deux piscines, une pour les familles et une pour adulte. Les deux piscines sont wow et les 2 sont beachfront. Je dirais que c’est plus beau en vrai qu’en photo. Vous ne serez pas déçu. Nous avons passé une seule nuit et le buffet était correct sans plus mais pour un buffet c’est correct. Tous le monde va y trouver sont compte 😇

The view from our room was beautiful and the room was clean. Some staff were helpful but not pushy. Edwardo and jonny at the front were great. The bartender ( at the lobby bar) i believe his name was Sero? was excellent.

The room we had was the Pamilla Suite and it was fine, however the drinks are weak, watched the bartender make a few without any alcohol at all and had to ask for alcohol to be added to almost all drinks. The food is on the verge of poor. very limited menu and the exact same thing multiple days. there are only a few beach chairs and not nearly enough pool chairs. The adult pool is better and the bartender at the swim up bar is much better. Snack bar food is ok but gets busy and the waits can be long. Coffee shop could stand to be open earlier. there is no options until 6am and usually 6:15am before they get going.

We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately there was no hot water and no chairs, loungers or palapas on the beach. A lot of times no supplies, only 2/8 drinks could be made most days. Missing coconut supplies or other things for drinks. Very few options, seemed to not have any supplies on hand.

This hotel is pretty nice! The staff were amazing, very welcoming and overall helpful with any requests made. The food was pretty good too. We went during Christmas and the hotel put on an amazing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners. The family pool was often crowded but that’s to be expected however, the adults only pool was true to the expectation. The pool was a bit dirty but that was overlooked by due to the amazing staff and bartenders. Located right on the beach, this is a really good getaway for solos and family alike!

Extremely disappointing stay at Krystal Grand Los Cabos.

Pre-arrival request for a baby crib for our 2-year-old was ignored; none provided upon arrival.

Staff had very poor English and gave conflicting, misleading information, leaving us constantly confused.

Restaurant reservations were unclear until the last day, requiring us to locate a hidden Expedia desk.

Claimed “complimentary upgrade” was misleading; room type and view did not match what we booked.

Basic services (housekeeping, hair dryer, bottled water) required repeated requests.

Not recommended. Families beware.

My stay was amazing. The staff were incredible and always made sure every request I had was taken care of. This resort is very family‑friendly, so if you’re young and looking to party, it might not be the best fit. The restaurants were okay, but the buffet ended up being my favorite.
