This property needs TLC: swimming pools have missing tiles, lounge chairs are old and very uncomfortable if you want comfortable you have to pay $80 dollars a day, building needs paint inside and outside, resort is on a major HWY and you hear the traffic noise all day and night. The restaurants; buffet is marginal, Mexican tocas only, Grill gave me diarrhea, Japanese was excellent! The only nice thing about the stay was the comfortable bed.

Room was decent, bed very comfortable. Food was terrible- this isnt from an American or 'tourist' POV, I love Mexican food and habe eaten it my whole life- just no. This is the first time Ive been to an all-inclusive and could tell the alcohol was watered down. Pools were beautiful but overall the property was rough. You get what you pay for did not even apply here. I did get to relax though, get some sun, and slept great.

Great beach view from our room, Julien at the swim up, Isodiro at lounge bar and coffee shop were great, fast, and always on it. The Expedia concierge was great. It was easy to book speciality restaurants the morning of. They arranged transportation to the airport and got us a late checkout on departure day. The resort was a little worn, buffet was average.
Not enough pool chairs. A lot of road noise from the highway out front in our room, but it wasn’t heard within the resort. I’m glad we went, we enjoyed our stay.

The resort was great overall. Check in and check out were easy and the concierge and cell staff were very helpful. The suite was clean and freshly renovated which was great for a two week stay. The alacarte restaurants were great - especially as an Expedia traveller, because we were able to reserve tables every night at the restaurants of our choice. The pool and grounds were beautiful, although the water in the main pool was chilly - even by Canadian standards.
Special thanks to the activities crew who made the days fun, Angel, Vanessa and America in particular.

Our room was on the 4th floor and we had a view of the beach. The room was clean. The only issue was that we had to ask for extra towels and facecloths and they only provided one towel initially. We received them immeditely.

We rented our own vehicle so we could explore beyond the resort, and we were glad we chose Krystal Grand as our base. The location was ideal for us about 20 minutes to Cabo San Lucas and roughly 10 minutes to San Jose del Cabo making day trips easy and convenient.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cabo. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well located resort with great dining options and superb service, Krystal Grand Los Cabos is a fantastic choice.

This property was very beautiful. The hotel staff was very helpful, friendly, and nice. Our concierge Gabriel was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. This hotel has a total of four restaurants. Be sure to set a reservation at the front desk the night before or morning of the reservation. If you don’t have any excursions booked the hotel will help assist in making sure you enjoy your time in Los Cabos.

Staff shortages throughout. Only 2 waiters around pool and long waits to get anything. Ala carte restaurants all slow and understaffed if you were ever lucky enough to get into one. You didn’t need to make reservations for the restaurants - it’s first come first serve.But what they don’t tell you is that they aren’t always open. And some days they were reserved for the Altitude Club folks. We tried every night out of 8 to get into one and were only successful twice, but after 8:30 pm. Maid service was dismal. No towels - had to hunt them down every day. Sometimes the towels were dirty. We even has drink glasses that weren’t cleaned- lipstick stains on them are absolutely unacceptable. Rooms not cleaned until after 4 pm every day. Buffet service was good - Cecelia was a bright spot in our day but while the food was fine, it was the same every day.
The worst though was nowhere near enough lounge chairs around the pool. Every chair reserved by 7am even though it was posted that you couldn’t save chairs.

The room safe was not bolted down anyone could have came into the room and took safe away with no issues, patio door does not close tight and does lock at all, we had to ask cleaners daily for face clothes and hand towels they were not consistent, should have anther bench table to put luggage on instead of on the couch and table.

We were disappointed in the housekeeping. We didn’t use the service every day but when we did, we were not given a bath mat or a hand towel and would have to ask for it. Everyone was very friendly and really appreciated Angela when we went for breakfast!

The experience with the hotel infrastructure and the subsequent attitude of management to offer any changes to mitigate our discomfort were appalling.
On our first night, we noticed the latch on our balcony door was nonexistent; it had completely corroded off, we were missing furniture in our room and on the balcony, the cabinets and closet doors were warped and / or broken, there was a charred, melted and non-functioning electrical outlet right beside the bed, the toilet wouldn't flush and the sink drained very slowly. To the credit of the hotel staff, these issues were dealt with very quickly, and they upgraded our bracelets voluntarily, but they are FAR from their claimed 5-star rating, or even the 4-stars users have given.
Our stay was fine for 2 days after initial check in and having the repairs completed, then we started to notice further deficiencies from what is marketed on Expedia... We first noticed there was very little shade on the property and the umbrellas and shelters they have in the marketing photos are non-existent. Then a sewage pipe burst outside our room and left us smelling raw sewage for the remainder of our stay. Then they had a power surge, and blew a power transformer wich was compensated-for by engaging a generator that was easily 180dB and directly below our room. With the room sealed the noise level was 65dB inside all day, all night, for 3 days. Then the AC broke and the temp was 29°C in our room. It just went downhill from there.

Overall the resort had everything I was looking for. I stayed in the Altitude tower and highly recommend choosing that option. The restaurant for breakfast and lunch was a great treat. I never tried the buffet in the O restaurant as sticking to the Altitude amenities seemed much better. I enjoyed the adult only pool and beach chairs.

The biggest problem was that the room we had had major traffic noice. Every morning traffic would wake us up at 5am. The resort backs on to the main highway of the area. The room door was about 150 feet away from the highway. I will not be staying at this resort again. Staff was good and accommodating. Food was fair.

The food and hotel was great, we really enjoyed our stay. We did find the room noisy, it was but the lobby and a lot of noise comes though the hall. Once I got earplugs I was fine. The lawn chair shortage is a problem, but Ive found that issue at all hotels.

My gripes..Phone lines were down for room service and other options. The food was good overall but the buffet was terrible. Would definitely recommend very budget friendly!

Very noisy room facing highway. Construction right outside the room. Every day at 5:40 am there was a loud what seemed like industrial or sewage truck making extreme noise for 40 minutes straight. Hotel refused room change, saying it’s a garbage truck it doesn’t happen often, I guess being tortured every day before 6am for 40 minutes straight is not too often... Too bad, otherwise would’ve been a great vacation

Entire Hotel worn and neglected, toilet backed up several times, internet connection almost non existent. Insufficient sunbeds to service guests unless you set your alarm for 5.30 am. Fridge not refilled everyday as stated. Food mediocre although we paid for the upgraded Altitude Tower. Not 5 star by any measurement.

In general the property met our expectations. Where it miserably failed: at check in room was not ready, could not find staff to take us to the room when it was. After finally getting to room we found there were no towels. Had to chase down and the bigger problem is that this happened 4 times in our two week stay.

The Expedia Concierge Staff were exceptional, special thanks to Brissa, Roberto and Gabriel. Brissa, assisted in formulating an itinerary for our 2 night trip to La Paz, recommending places of interest to stop at and restaurants.
The Krystal Grand Hotel did not disappoint, the room we were first assigned had 2 beds and the air conditioning unit was faulty. We had requested a king bed, we were moved the next day to a king bed and this room was good.
We enjoyed most if the specialty restaurants although the food could be served hotter, a few times we requested to have are food warmed.

The Expedia Staff at the hotel were outstanding! Brissa, Robert, Gabriel, Gustavo ( bellboy) were incredibly helpful in very which way from before arrival , and continued to be throughout our 20 day stay until our day of departure!!!

This place was extremely disappointing. The adult pool was turning green and so cloudy that you couldn't see the bottom, which is unacceptable. On top of that, the sewer pump was broken, so the entire pool area smelled like sewage. The sink and shower water in our room also had a sewage smell.

We really enjoyed our stay here, and it was largely due to how friendly the staff were. A gentleman by the name of Sergio was our favourite, he always had a smile on his face and was very kind to us. We primarily dined at The Grill where he typically worked because we enjoyed interacting with him so much.
Some honourable mentions go out to the rooftop bartender Hugo and our wonderful room cleaner Luciano. Again, both were extremely friendly and kind and always put a smile on our faces.

Our one week stay was everything we wanted and more. We loved all the different areas and pools. The views were stunning and beach was gorgeous.

At the breakfast buffet, the omelette stations were the highlight, and sitting outside practically on the beach with an ocean view was incredible. We even saw some whales while eating breakfast!
The Surfos Snack Bar had the best fish tacos I think I’ve ever had. And the cook Fernando was incredible. He was so personable and kind. When we asked for hot sauce and he didn’t have any, without asking he went and got us some from the restaurant—absolutely over and above.

The staff were so kind and helpful. The location was beautiful. Other than that the cleanliness was pretty lacking all around. we were given sheets with blood stains on them. The cups that the drinks are given in at the pool and bars are not cleaned at all, only rinsed briefly with tap water by hand and placed in a stack and given to someone else right after you. I suggest bringing your own cup and washing it yourself often. The food taste was fine but not good. Me and my partner got extremely sick to the point we were throwing up for over 24 hours and needed medical attention. we did not eat or drink anywhere else besides the resort. The pool was too cold for people to go in so everyone was piled into the two small hot tubs at the adult pool that were the temperature of a warm bath and they were very dirty. The chairs by the pool were very limited and were all very dirty. The room was very loud all day and all night you could hear the traffic along the road because the door had huge gaps all around the frame. The tv was very old and had no other function but a couple cable channels. The restaurants are not open all the time. One or two of them were closed every day. and the others were only open for dinner.

The main generator broke down which caused the emergency generator to turn on. The emergency generator blared throughout he entire resort for 24 hours a day. It also meant that the air conditioning was not working in the rooms. Although we were booked for 7 days, we checked out after 2 days and found another hotel. I am expecting Expedia to refund me for the 5 days that I never used.

There were some major issues on my arrival due to a power problem at the resort and a super loud generator running. People literally had earplugs in at the pool. I was told I couldn’t get a refund and that it would be off at 8 PM. This wasn’t the case. Finally by the next morning it was off. I have to say Roberto at the Expedia desk at the hotel saved the day. I had wanted to change hotels on my arrival, but I wasn’t able to determine if I would get a refund. That was really frustrating, but Expedia came through for me and upgraded my access at the resort. I also ended up getting a refund after the trip was over which was fantastic. In the end, Expedia really went out of its way to compensate me for my trip. I’m very grateful for that. I’m also glad that I booked through Expedia as they had a special desk at the resort it made getting dinner reservations and dealing with problems, check out etc much easier.

Resort is average. It needs some updating and refreshing-pool is not heated. Pool chairs are both too few and worn out. Buffet is so underwhelming I stopped eating there, food is in chafing dishes that you have to open to see the food, I’ve never seen an all inclusive like that. Very limited selection. Main restaurants were good, the Italian was very good and the evening outdoor themed buffet they do is also quite good. The lunch menu at Surfo look bar is very good, excellent guacamole and fish tacos. Japanese menu is good, skip the teppanyaki which is mediocre and go for the sushi and menu items. The coffee bar is great, really liked having a tea or coffee anytime of day. The rooms were fine, but showing some signs of wear. No loungers on the beach at all. Extremely limited evening activity or entertainment. I wouldn’t return-they need to do some fixes and it could be really good.

Unfortunately the power went out for 2 days and a loud power generator was going off due to the inconvenience, overall the stay was nice. Another inconvenience was how fresh towels were forgotten to be put in our rooms twice. The rooms were very cozy and spacious. Staff were friendly. Restrooms were clean. I’d visit them again

Pools are cold! Food is cold! Japanese a la cart was very good. Staff were great! Italian and Mexican restaurants are not so good. The Grill restaurant was good, but, again, food was cold. Cleanliness of hotel was good! Bars were always running out of something. Beautiful beach, but no chairs or umbrellas to use. Nightly entertainment was poor and not every night.

The staff at Krystal Grand Los Cabos were simply outstanding. From the servers at the restuarants to the pool staff. They were all very happy and helpful and Yolanda and Angela always made us feel special. Roberto the concierge addressed any questions we had immediately and made our stay remarkable, as did his colleague Gabriel. This was our second time at the resort and we'll definitely be returning. The pools and beach were beautiful and the Friday night Fiesta is a must. The dinner we had at the sushi restaurant was some of the most delicious tuna we've ever had.

Transformer blew and had no air conditioning for 2 1/2 days. Room was right next to back-up generator and was so loud that everyone had to wear earplugs. Finally on 3rd night was given a room away from the generator. Minimal bath towels, no washcloths. Some of reservations at restaurants were not honored for various reasons. Not offered a refund for 2 nights that we requested. Was my 5th stay at Krystal Grande and might be my last if we are not granted a refund for 2 sleepless nights.

My first night there the mini fridge was making an annoying noise and I spoke to the concierge staff about it. I left to attend an event I had planned. By the time I came back they were so kind they upgraded my room for the inconvenience. All I wanted was for them to do was switch out the fridge, but I was grateful.
I truly enjoyed my stay. It was also very clean. The food wasn’t the best to me but I’m a picky eater and I didn’t go to all the restaurants to inquire either. So, what I did try I didn’t like but the snack bar was the best to me.
Another thing I’m really big on is the staff knowing who I am and not making me feel weird. Well the staff here addressed me by my name the entire time and greeted me with smiles and a very welcoming spirit. I felt like I had new family members. Thank you so much to all of you guys.
