For a high end property: All inclusive and $$$
I expected better food. Would rather not pay for all inclusive and go out for food to have better options. Pools were very crowded and was annoying trying to find space. Main pool played loud music all day and not very relaxing…. Not a problem if you are a person seeking a club like feel and need to be entertained all day.
Overall experience was “Okay”. The one thing that stood out was the staff friendliness and service.

Spent 5 nights and 6 days at this beautiful resort. It was my first all inclusive experience and Hyatt Ziva set the standards pretty high. The staff were extremely nice and attentive. The amenities and property were kept cleaned. The food was phenomenal! Oh and the food carts by the pool were the cherry on top 😊

Beautiful lobby with amazing first view of the resort and sea/sand. Every restaurant had great food and something for everyone. Pools were beautiful offering some quiet and some activities. But far and away the service and personal attention throughout the resort completes the experience. We have visited multiple times and are always blown away by the warmth and hospitality at Hyatt Ziva. Everything we want in a vacation!

I stayed here with my two kids and two sisters. The kids had a blast. The all-inclusive aspect of the resort, with multiple great options for food and drinks through out the day was a life saver!
They do offer free room service all day but that was always so delayed that it was not useful at all!

Our family of four had a fantastic time at Hyatt Ziva, Cabo.
The pool was big and beautiful, service was wonderful, and the views were spectacular!
Food was good, not great, the pool DJ, music and daytime entertainment could be much better. Buffet was just ok and some areas of the property could be maintained better.
All in all, we had a fabulous time!

The hotel has degraded quite a bit compared to last year we went. Many staff were rude or not helpful, trying to get away from any help. The Japanese restaurant, while good food, had the worst experience due to requiring reservation and no one helped you make that process easy. Our assigned butler was terrible, he didn’t connect for two days, then he said can’t make a reservation for us because of availability, yet we got the reservation from another room’s butler. You come to enjoy a hotel yet they make you unnecessarily stress about your “included” service. Many areas around the pool were due for renovation / fixing, but things are getting worse.

We loved our stay here! Everything was very clean and the food was delicious. All of the staff were very helpful and kind. The only thing I would let other travelers know is that you cannot make reservations for dinner at most restaurants unless you are paying for the premiere level. The only restaurant everyone can make reservations at is the Hibachi restaurant. Other than that we had a great time!

Might be the time of year (mid June) but there were A LOT OF KIDS. More kids than I've ever seen at an all incisive resort. Or it's a family focused property, so very good for families but maybe not couples or adult only groups - again, could be time of year. The food was great. We ate at Mahika (Indian), Hacienda (steak), El Molina (Mexican) for formal dinners. All were fantastic. Lunches we had the daily tacos or food truck, very yummy.

We did a family vacation with grandparents and two families with children ranging from 2-11. Friendliest staff around! There are many good food choices, the pools are so much fun (they have adult only pools that we didn't visit but looked nice too), they have a different show every night. Overall would highly recommend!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great and we were even given a room upgrade upon check in. The only down sides were that the elevator button was broken on our floor, so we had to wait for someone taking the elevator up, in order to go down to the lobby. Our handheld shower also didnt work and the jets in one of the poolside jacuzzis also did not seem to be working. Overall the property felt clean and well maintained minus the few minor things mentioned above. Food was incredible!! So many options, and the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs every day.

My mom and I went on a very last minute trip down to Cabo, it was our first time ever in Mexico. The Hyatt Ziva converted us to Mexican vacationers! The staff was amazing, SO friendly, so attentive, and there is tons of them so you're never waiting long for service or drinks.

We loved the adults only pool! We saw the same man everyday, and he was so sweet. Made sure our drinks were never empty and made sure we were always happy. The tacos they serve over there are 10/10.

The big pool is busier and lots of people were claiming there chairs and not coming to sit in them until later in the day, so that was a bummer. But the poolside service over there was amazing as well. I also didn't realize you can't really swim in the ocean in San Jose, so that was fine, but worth noting if your thinking about getting into the water. Currents are crazy and waves were huge and way too dangerous.

The food was definitely the highlight for us, which we were not expecting at an all-inclusive. The seafood restaurant on the water was gorgeous and so yummy. And the french restaurant was so delicious, the tenderloin was perfection and the starters were dreamy. No complaints, I would go back just for the restaurants.

I will note for other travelors, the transportation was crazy expensive to and from the airport, especially for Canadians ($250 USD round trip). So next time we would be a lot more confident to Uber. If they have cheaper options they were not offered to me when I called Hyatt.

All the staff from the French restaurant and the Sports bar.
On taco Tuesday, the waiter had the mariachi band sing Happy Birthday and a birthday mini cake. Made our night extra special. So sorry I can’t remember his name, such a nice gentleman.

Family Vaycay Destination- we had a multi- family members’ birthday celebration and the all inclusive factor was a hit!! Pros- Food selection/Restaurants, Pool, Cleanliness, Service-, Gym/Fitness Activities, Cons- WiFi (very slow), Room selection (see explanation below), Pool access times (closes at 8pm)

Overall great resort to meet with your family as everyone can do as they please, but meeting up to spend time was a breeze. If you’re like me and enjoy swimming until 10pm or evening, this resort closes the pool area by 8pm so this was a sigh. My biggest critique is not with the resort, but with the photos in Expedia. I thought I was booking the photo seen on Expedia, bright and colorful rooms, but when I got checked in, I realized I was given the older, darker rooms which were acceptable, but not what I thought I was paying for. Overall, good value but find out what room you are actually purchasing as the premium/renovated rooms are categorized differently.

The Hyatt Ziva was a great hotel, the restaurants were all very good, especially the breakfast and lunch restaurant was excellent and staff were superb. We were able to get the Asian restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed the Hibachi grill experience. Also, went to the Mediterranean restaurant, very good as well. Missed the French restaurant which was closed the day we attempted to attend. But will catch it next time. The Staff were all very accommodating and customer service was exemplary 10 stars ⭐️ I do suggest that rooms be available earlier than 3:00pm, as we travelled very early morning and arrived at Hyatt Ziva by 12:00 noon and after traveling for 7 hours, we were ready too rest up. Overall, absolutely enjoyed the experience!!!

We were greeted with an Expedia banner on the door and received a plate of strawberries and a bottle of wine. We are gold members through Expedia. Halfway through our trip we received a basket of fruit and a bottle of champagne. Very clean resort. Extremely attentive staff.
We’ve been to other Hyatt Zivas and highly recommend them!

Overall it’s a nice property! The pool
Is in urgent need of maintenance- tiles are broken and have cut my sons’s feet. Food was good specially the Italian - el cortes was super slow service! Please add more staff - you clearly need to better train your F&B personnel- the app used by the resort with restaurant and menu info was all wrong with incorrect menus and wrong restaurant opening hours. Housekeeping- the first 2 days the room wasn't cleaned till 3 pm and after I complained they started coming earlier. Tried going to the front desk to ask something and not one of the 4 staff there acknowledged or tried to help. “Shows” and kids entertainment is below average. Dont expect any quality in the shows and please improve your kids club activities. Emanuel

This is my second year back to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and am looking forward to spending a third vacation with them again! From the moment you get to the property, you know you’re in for something special! This place embodies the word vacation to its fullest!! All of the staff is incredibly attentive! The cleanliness of the entire hotel is next level!. The food is so delicious! Start your day with a natural fruit/veggie juice juice/smoothie. Breakfast at Casa Cortez with the best beach views and the outstanding staff take care of the rest. They also have a breakfast/lunch/dinner buffet restaurant where they have something savory for everyone! Theres food by the pool also. And the only struggle you will have during this vacation is picking which of their 5 exquisite restaurants to have dinner at! They have nightly entertainment shows! This place is paradise!!! If you want to be pampered and have a relaxing vacation Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is the place to be!! You will never want to go anywhere else after coming here!! This has become a yearly tradition! If i could give it more stars i would!!

I can’t express how pleased I am with this resort. The staff was superb! I am a member at another resort in another area and I am seriously considering switching properties. This is a top notch resort and all staff is ready to assist if needed and you always receive a friendly smile, nod, and hand across their chest as you walk by. I felt safe on the resort as well. Beautiful views of the ocean and the pools were so nice! Fun games, events, and shows to keep you occupied. If you are bored, that’s on you. The spa! Chef’s kiss!! It was such a terrible experience at Hyatt Ziva. We booked here because we had a great experience at Hyatt Ziva in Cancun. We stayed in the building two which was supposed to be the newer building. The room was not soundproofed. There’s a bar right across our room. Very loud at night until almost midnight. Early Morning you got kids upstairs running around making noises. The food was just ok but server had nasty attitudes.

We stayed at Hyatt Ziva for 4 days and 3 nights, and it was such a happy and wonderful experience.

When we arrived, Alfonso helped us with check-in, and we were so grateful for how kind and thoughtful he was. He understood exactly what we needed and made everything very easy and comfortable for us.

Our concierge, Adrian, took care of everything we needed from the beginning to the end of our stay. Thanks to his attentive help and perfect arrangements, we were able to enjoy our vacation without any inconvenience at all. He continued to look after us with such care until the day we left.

The hotel facilities were very clean and well organized, which we really appreciated. We also traveled with our young grandchildren, and we loved that the hotel atmosphere and all the facilities were very family-friendly.

One small downside was that the rooms located in shaded areas felt quite humid because of the moisture. It would be even better if there were a better ventilation system to help reduce the humidity.

We are so thankful to both Adrian and Alfonso for making our stay so special. If anyone plans to visit Los Cabos, we will definitely recommend Hyatt Ziva, and we will absolutely come back to Hyatt Ziva ourselves!

We have been to the Hyatt Ziva several times and this was our best trip so far. Their renovations are substantially complete (amazing gym) and their service continues to improve. This years addition was a private butlers service. Ali, our personal butler, was fantastic. She kept in touch with us but didn’t hover….made our preferred dinner reservations every night and took care to fix any little annoyance we ran into. In addition she and Julie…the manager of the French restaurant,,,created a really special celebration for my husbands bday. A shout out needs to go to Julie’s wait staff as well…..Jorge, Gustavo, Roberto, Diego and Efrain gave us excellent service in our three visits to the French restaurant and sang and danced in the celebration of my husbands bday. We stayed at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos for 5 nights to celebrate our anniversary and had such a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, the staff were incredibly attentive, and the amenities were fantastic. We especially loved the fitness facilities — truly exceptional — and the hydrotherapy spa experience was a highlight of our stay. A relaxing and memorable getaway from start to finish.

Excellent service, excellent food, gorgeous resort. Our wedding was at their gazebo many years ago, and it’s just as well-maintained, luxurious and welcoming as it was back then. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

I’ve now visited Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos four times, and it continues to impress me every single time. The customer service is truly exceptional—every staff member is warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The resort is consistently clean, well-maintained, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. I absolutely love this place and can’t say enough good things about it. It’s become one of my favorite destinations, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again!

We've stayed at this property before for a weekend. This time we stayed a whole week. To be honest and we're not picky eaters it was very hard to find food for the entire week for dinner. The buffet for dinner was closed every night. The Mexican restaurant was not great. Italian great, ate there 3 times, Asian hibachi good, Seafood buffet on the beach our last night. We do not eat Indian or French. The Baja Grill was just so so. Breakfast buffet was very good and all of the food around the pool was excellent, a lot of options, fish tacos and fajitas were awesome. It's a very clean property. Staff is super nice. Shout out to Trinidad (Trini) he helped with some dinner reservations and checked in with us everyday plus sent us the entertainment schedule the restaurants were open for the day. Very nice young man.
Gerano at the pool was excellent bringing drinks, smoothies, pizza.
I had a massage (even though I had heard there was one on the beach near by) I chose the spa at 50% off. I had one massage and she talked me into the Stone Massage. Oh my, I'll never do a regular one again. The Stone Massage was amazing! Marsela did both of my massages. She was great!
Orbitz said I was eligible for an upgraded room, person at counter said I had to pay for it. Was a little disappointed as I've never been offered an upgraded room before. Our second to the last night and we were already getting ready for bed the front desk called and offered us an upgraded room. We declined, so late.

Excellent location, very clean, quiet spacious rooms! Excellent staff, very helpful making reservations via concierge! Lovely pools, fantastic gym! Clean beautiful sand on beach!
Thought there could be more adult activity w volleyball, water sports etc. They did have excellent water aerobic classes to music. Would definitely stay here again!

Our room was upgraded for free, it had the most beautiful view. The food options were great and flavorful. The property is big where even though it’s family friendly it did feel like an adult only with the adult pool access. Overall, I loved it and will be back!
