Property was lovely. Restaurants very nice but also very expensive. Beach is nice but no good for swimming, also my partner got stung by a jelly fish while dipping her toes in the waves! Adult pools were great. Never actually made it to the swim up bar as it was in full sun all day. Could use some shade there. One issue was that we paid for a 'partial pool view' and got fobbed off with a room right next to the main road. The front desk tried to charge us an upgrade fee for a view room. We complained and got moved to a way better room overlooking the pool. Uber into San Jose town is cheap and fast.

The property itself is beautiful and relaxing, however the check in was painful, No smiles, Very negative and not welcoming at all. They asked for a credit card besides the one we use as debit and credit, and we did not have an extra one, but it was the approach and the negative way the check in host was. She had the audacity to ask if we knew someone who had another credit card; how??? We are happy to land and show up to a beautiful place just to be in the air if we would be able to get a room or not, we had to wait 4 hours to finally get a room and paying a higher deposit than usual to be able to get a room after the room was already paid for during reservation, they were quick to charge the balance at check in, but we were still in the air waiting for a manager to approve if we should get a room
Or not!!!!! For someone who works in customer service, I’d get fired if I was that negative towards our clients; instead of offering a fast solution, they kept us waiting and of course that was not okay for a place like this…. CHECK IN STAFF needs to be trained at providing better customer service and please have them smile more, does not hurt at all to be courteous and finding fast solutions instead of giving someone a headache upon arrival!!!! We also asked for a simple water bottle, and they said they didn’t have any:.. wow!!!

They cleaned our room twice and never swept, never took the food trash out, they would only make the bed and replaced dirty towels!!!

Gorgeous hotel with great amenities all up to date. Staff could not be nicer. But the third party company they contract for food and beverage is absolutely price gouging people. So food logistics become something you really have to think about as a family to go offsite for everything. $28 USD for a sparkling water and an orange juice? We will not be staying again.

Will 100% be back. This pool was one of the best we’ve ever been to. The staff was so attentive and friendly! The decor is so beautiful- only downside is the food at the restaurant was silly expensive (like $150 for 2 people for breakfast!) so I’d say there’s a good coffee shop across the street! But the amenities are amazing! Clean and big villa rooms (stayed in a 1BR villa room).

This property was beautiful, clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

However, the beach was not swimable due to tides. I am uncertain if that was temporary or a constant occurrence. A bottle of water cost 15 dollars at the main restaurant in the hotel. Imagine the price for all other menu items, very overpriced.

My husband and I stayed 7 nights at the end of April. The hotel was very clean, the rooms big and comfortable. The pool was wonderful and always easy to find a lounge chair. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food by the pool was great. We loved how close we were to the town and could Uber for a few dollars to go have dinner or go shopping. Will definitely be back! We were asked at check in if we wanted to attend a time share meeting but after saying no, we were never bothered again.

We have stayed here many times. Service was great when we first stayed many years ago and then it declined, last year I debated whether to come back. This year I can say that the service was very much improved. They now have an 18% service charge added to all food and beverage orders and maybe that is part of how they have retained a better staff but in any event it was much improved over the past few years and I am OK with the built in service charge if that's what fixed it. The facility has always been great, glad the service is back on track.

Good location. Walkable to local dining and shops. Nice room, however, we got eaten alive by bugs-assuming mosquitoes. Very expensive for alcoholic beverages and food. Nice pools, beautiful resort, but not all inclusive. Pro tip-stop at Walmart first, but your beer, wine, and spirits. Hotel charges $30 for a glass of wine and/or mixed drinks.

We had a very relaxing four night stay mostly just hanging out at the pool. We appreciated that it was pretty easy to distance from louder people / pool bar area as desired. The pool staff were amazing. The prices of all food and drinks on property are quite absurd ($25 margaritas and $10 Pacificos - USD), but it is also easy to get off property for more reasonable tourist-oriented food/drinks or even better, hole in the wall Mexican joints where you could spend $10 or so on a big breakfast for two. Room was comfortable, and I appreciated the full coffee maker and fridge. Be aware that the hotel tries to \"forbid\" you from taking ubers, so we just walked outside the gate to catch ours, and we got dropped off just outside the gate. Overall a great experience aligned to what we wanted - total ease and relaxation.

Stayed for 9 days. Resort is in immaculate condition. Staff is wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. Our Elevator down for entire trip - a bit of a hassle. Resort pricing for food and beverages a little outrageous. Early AM chair-saving got obnoxious bit staff eventually addressed it. Great location.

The resort was OK, convenient, clean, and pretty. The staff was wonderful.
There are better hotels in the area, especially if traveling with Kids. The biggest challenges were no breakfast buffet, and no easy, healthy choices, both of which are a dealbreaker when traveling with Kids. There are only two - pricey and nice - restaurants. Café doesn’t count as a legitimate breakfast or healthy lunch option. The other big letdown was the Kids club. It was just sad, my daughter didn’t want to stay or return.

We had a fantastic time at this resort. The place is immaculate, and the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. However, the restaurants could use some improvement. The food is decent, but it doesn’t quite live up to the high expectations. The drinks need some work, especially since Mexico is known for its excellent margaritas. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely return to this property and highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful, clean, family-friendly resort. The crowd was definitely mature, mainly families with kids of all ages but we didnt experience any nuisance that may be expected at a typical family resort. The location is perfect. You can walk to the San Jose town center, as well as local stores. An Uber ride is only about 5 minutes. We went to Le Comer a couple of times to grab some snacks for the kids (fruit & pasteries). It is an easy walk but only a 5 to 10 dollar Uber ride. There are also so many great restaurants in San Jose to choose from! The resort bar/eatery was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced - or at least as expected. Javier's is the more upscale restaurant (on site) and the prices seemed a bit on the higher side but with all of the restaurants in the area, we did not get the chance to eat there. The spa seemed a bit pricey. For example, a couples rose quartz massage was listed under the \"specials\" at over $1,200 USD. I have zero complaints regarding the cleanliness of the resort or the staff, and the high prices can be avoided. It was a perfect stay and I would absolutely stay there again! Highly, highly recommend!

Guest rooms are spacious and comfortable. The balcony attached to our unit, was large with a sectional seating area and table for 4. Pool and beach area are truly exceptional- with the most comfortable lounge chairs and plenty of them. Beach and pool staff were great- especially Tomas who took excellent care of us, making us feel like the most valued guests. Food was of excellent quality, although expensive, but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the resort. Highly recommend. We have already made plans to return!

No issues with the property and staff. My main issue is guests claiming beds early in the morning and not using them till 10 or 11. This should not be allowed to happen. Everyday the best beds were taken...usually just a hat placed on the bed. Not good.

Wow! What can I say? Amazing! There are SO MANY pools, including adults only pools. Not sure if it’s like this all the time, but there were plenty of pool chairs available. Although I will say that if you want to be on the edge of the big pool, you have to go by breakfast time to snag a seat. They don’t let people reserve for longer than 30 minutes though, so it all seems pretty fair. Food is expensive, but I think that’s to be expected. I’m guessing there’s better food off property as well. However, if you’re looking for a place to swim in peace for days, lounge around, and feel like royalty, this is the place.

Rooms are exceptionally clean, grounds are kept in perfect condition. Rooms are beautiful and bed is very comfy.
Food is really good everywhere you go in resort and out of resort.
It is a great stay for both couples and families. Can have quiet or more excitement depending on where you are. Beach is lovely with very comfy chairs and staff is friendly and there to help.
I would return in a heartbeat!

Only comment - the music playing outside our room from 9am to 9 pm gets old. Need to change it up and not play the same loop day after day. Just some advice!

The hotel is kept impeccably well. The staff are very friendly. We’ve stayed in 80809 in building three and six previously and they’re great sweets for us very comfortable overlooking the serenity pool. The only one negative we have an about the property is that heavier and Florida de Noche are ridiculously overpriced restaurants And our opinion not an asset to Hilton Hotel property whatsoever. When the lease is expired, they should take them over and go up with men that are more fairly priced for the average family. Caviar is also put on an automatic 18% gratuity without us knowing about the automatic tip charge and then asked for additional tips for the waiters that evening. It felt very ownerous to us. We went for dinner at 8 o’clock Saturday night, January 31 and we were the only couple in the entire restaurant that evening. I’m surprised they can survive with that pricing because he can’t attract any patrons.

The room was very clean. Unfortunately housekeeping arrived everyday between 4 and 5 when we would arrive back from our day of fun to shower. Twice we waited on the balcony to in order to shower, once they called because they couldn't get in the door and said they needed to come in if we wanted our room clean. I asked for them to wait because we weren't dressed yet and they said they could not wait. I spoke with the front desk and requested for our room to be finished cleaning by 3 pm and they made that happen.

Hotel itself very beautiful. Throughout the hotel, you can smell such amazing aroma and a beautiful melody playing . But unfortunately, I felt discriminated in a certain way sitting outside on the balcony around 11 o’clock with three friends chitchatting having a good time remembering good old times next thing I know phone is ringing someone is knocking at the door telling us there were too loud that a guest had complain about the noise. Now, please keep in mind. I am there on vacation celebrating my 50 out on the balcony no music just three friends talking no signed whatsoever. Says that we couldn’t make noise outside on the balcony. We were told that at 9 o’clock we shouldn’t be out there. I did not see any signs that said that now also keep in mind. I also paid a fair price to be there. I did not complain when people woke up early and flushed the toilet and you could hear it. I did not complain when you can hear the doors opening and closing early in the morning. Everything was very beautiful but overall it seemed very boring and then you couldn’t really be comfortable. You couldn’t laugh you couldn’t talk. It just seemed like the other, Gas had more rights than me was it because they were American and I wasn’t truly unfortunately such a beautiful hotel would not consider staying there or recommending especially if you have children.

We have stayed at the Cabo Azul a few times and our recent trip in December 2025 did not disappoint. The rooms are very spacious! The kitchens are fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need to make a meal. Lots of towel towels and the beds are very comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and poolside service very attentive. We look forward to our next day at this great resort!
