The property itself was fine, I was there for a week. It does say they change sheets on day 4 and that didn't occur - though I didn't mind that, just a note if someone does. They certainly provide ear plugs for a reason though. The sound between rooms carries so much I could hear every word of the conversations around me and there were excitable revelers shouting in the streets until at least 2am most evenings.

The hotel is in a great location close to everything. Easy walk to Old Town-museums- tram and more. The total has a nice lounge. That’s the good part.

I was nervous when there were ear plugs provided on the bed that we saw right away. Walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors. There is a great bar across the street. The only reason we know that is because the loud activity and conversations long into the night while we were trying to sleep. ;-)

Very bare bones and basic. The room was small for 2 people.

Again, this is a great location but likely better options in the area.

Need A Lift? - There Isn't One!

Room we had very small. No wardrobe for clothes and the one chest of drawers had one of the three draws broken. The biggest issue however was the four flights of stairs that we had climb to get to the room. I had a total knee replacement last year and lack of information on this matter was a real problem. This lack of a lift needs to be added to the booking information!

No staff at property communication via email was available. There was a key code for the main door to the building but it was never locked which felt a bit unsafe. You have to carry luggage up 2 -3 flughts of stairs

The Bohemian was a good, economical choice for my two night stay in Bergen. The area was safe and walkable, with a tram that will take you directly to the airport, just a five minute walk away. The room was small, but clean, with everything I needed for my stay, inclusive of a mini fridge. I did not make use of the public space on the second floor, but it looked nice/modern and other travels made use of it. I'd recommend if looking for a budget-friendly stay and a clean place to sleep.

The location, cleanliness and modernness of this hotel was great! It’s well located and the rooms felt new and had a microwave and great fridge. The lounge space was gorgeous and comfortable with a free coffee machine and tea. It should definitely be noted that this is a 5 floor hotel with no elevator - so it is unfortunately not accessible to anyone. Additionally the bed was very small - we booked a room for 2 people and the bed was small and we’re small people. This room should have been for a single person only or they need to upgrade the size of the bed. It was a double room and I think we got a twin bed or smaller.

Think twice before booking here. If you are lucky like me to get a room on the 5th floor in an old building without elevator may not be the best choice. My room was extremely small with little overhead space with no mini-fridge, no microwave or TV as listed. When asked the property they said they are sorry for the inconvenience but did nothing to change it

It was easy enough to find, take light railway (bybanen) from airport to Bergen Centrum, (last stop with linie 1), then straight up Christie Gate to the hotel. The entrance area looked a bit disappointing as an older building and the roads around the hotel are not as well looked after as the area around the Bryggen area. Nice and spacious common area with a few books and option to make a drink with machine for coffee and kettle to boil water for tea. Room was small but had everything needed, bed comfortable and good bathroom and shower. Entrance via a code you are provided with

When we got there, the room was not ready for us. Even though the person chatting with us was very friendly, there was no front desk to get things sorted out in a timely manner. We ended up canceling our stay and going somewhere else.

Room was decent size for a solo traveller and the bathroom was spacious. The room was clean and tidy. Having a fridge and microwave available in the room was great. Great location, shops and transport all close by. Communication with host/staff was good and they did take on my feedback as stated below.
Downsides - there was no available cutlery, it was noisy at times (but I did go when it was Russ and 17th May), the bed sheets weren’t changed when they were supposed to (on the 4th day - I stayed for a week), bins weren’t emptied and only 1 pillow was provided, there is no lift so expect to carry your heavy suitcases! Although the luggage storage code was available before check in there was no code to access the building which was inconvenient (luckily someone was exiting the building as I arrived so I could wait in the lounge) Despite these inconveniences, my experience overall was good and I would stay here again.

No elevator, 120 stairs (24 stairs per flight and i was on the 5th floor), had i known there was no elevator i wouldn’t have stayed here. Room was dirty. Room not as described. Twin bed was half obstructed by an angled wall. Pulled bed from wall and very dirty behind bed .

Great spot in Bergen

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at this location. Great spot in the city, with just a short walk to the city center. Rooms are very comfortable and the common area offers a lot of use for the property. Other reviews complained about the noise from the night club but my girlfriend and I weren't terribly disturbed by it. Will certainly try to stay here again if back in Bergen.

We were disappointed with the venue. Size was not as large as we had expected. This may have been a misunderstanding on our part. There was limited capactiy for interacting with someone to chek in or resolve thiings with everything done by txt/email and code. Frustrating at the end of a long days travel. the venue itself was clean and tidy.

Really torn about this one. So the big thing was the room I booked was supposed to have a kitchenette & closet. When I get to the room there was none of this, it was a basic hotel room, I contacted the company and they said there were no rooms like that available and so they offered me a 1 night refund. Honestly, if I had known I would have booked elsewhere due to the duration I was there, living out of a suitcase was not ideal.

Also...
- Luggage room/lounge out of action.
- Very noisy on a Fri/Sat night with clubs/bars below
- There was a weird speaker/vent which seemed to bring noise through from other part of complex into my room, very odd and off putting.
- Door very stiff to close.
- Couple of times the water for shower wouldn't stay hot for long, but usually worked good.

Positives
- Good location
- Smart, compact room.

Ultimately being misled wasn't a good start to my stay and as a result I wouldn't stay again unfortunately.

A centrally located property which felt safe and secure. The property was very clean and had most of the facilities needed (would recommend providing shower gel and a hairdryer!). The room was a little on the small side but was fine for a few nights. The bed (sofa bed) could do with a thicker topper as I had back ache both nights.

The apartment is in a good central location and appears to be newly renovated with a fridge, microwave and kettle. However, there is minimal seating and no washing detergent to wash reusable cutlery. The room is incredibly small that we were placed in with neither of us fitting through the hall way or by the bed at the same time. The double bed was very tiny with very poor pillows, please invest a little bit more money for these. No luggage storage is less than ideal. Sending people check-in codes ten minutes before check-in doesn't correlate with your advertisement saying codes will be received the day before.

This is not really a regular hotel, more like a scaled down version of an Airbnb room. There’s no daily housekeeping and front desk. We stayed for three nights. I messaged the property about providing either more paper cups or a couple of ceramic cups, as the room had only 5 single use paper cups.

No one from the property returned my message and no more cups, either paper or ceramic cups, were provided.

The location of the property is good.

Hadde et lite problem med rommet når vi sjekket inn, men alt løste seg raskt ved å ta kontakt med personalet. Vi fikk god og rask hjelp.

Rommet var rent, ryddig og hadde god lufting. Badet var rent og det var stor dusj som var et stor pluss. Det var også veldig deilig å ha mikro og kjøleskap på rommet. Dette får man sjeldent på gode hotel. Så for oss var dette fantastisk.

Innsjekk var veldig lett og vi fikk god info før. Alt i alt hadde vi et fint opphold.

L' hotel si trova in pieno centro di Bergen, ci si muove tranquillamente a piedi, tutto a portata di mano.
La stanza era piccola, scomodo il letto incassato tra due muri, dovevo attraversare il letto da sopra per poter entrarci a dormire... Invece il bagno era nuovissimo e grande.
La stanza era pulita, silenziosa, durante il soggiorno non fanno le pulizie e c'è il self check in, tutte cose molto chiare nella descrizione della struttura.
E' stato comunque molto facile accedere alla stanza, visto che giorni prima inviano una mail con tutte le istruzioni per accedere alla struttura, e il giorno del check in, inviano il codice di accesso.
Nell' interno della struttura, c'è una stanza ENORME con una cucina con frigo, microonde, bollitori, e dei tavoli con divani, dove poter fare colazione e cosa super positiva, c'è una MACCHINA PROFESSIONALE GRATUITA a disposizione degli ospiti, che fa caffè, cappuccino, cioccolata calda, ecc.. da poter utilizzare ogni volta che si vuole !!!! Abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo questo servizio, perchè non lo sapevamo.
Nel complesso assolutamente da consigliare, ci tornerei sicuramente.

The most basic room imaginable.

We were looking forward to a relxing weekend stay in Bergen, but were let down by the room. We might just have been unlucky with the specific room though. There were no hooks or hangers to hang up jackets or clothing in the entire room. There was a desk, but no chair to accompany it. The room had roof windows, but we were unable to reach up to close or open it (it was opened when we arrived) and the only way to close it was to wait for the cleaning staff to come by the next day...but then we could not open it again on our own. All in all not the kind of relaxing weekend we had hoped for.

The hotel has a Great location to explore the town and near the harbour. My room was small and furniture could be improved to make it more efficient. It offers luggage storage and a lounge for the guests with coaches, tables, microwave, boilers, sink and coffee and ice machines for free. It's a pity some guests are not polite and use the place to sleep before/ after check in or some are very noisy but it's not the hotel's fault. Cleaning could be improved as well but it was quite acceptable. Overall I had a good stay and would recommend the place but I just think it could be much nicer with little adjustments.
