Very interesting hotel with many excellent features plus terrific staff. Rooms are spacious, beds soft and warm. Breakfast area clean and bright with a good range of fresh foods.
Position suited us perfectly being on the waterfront,it reminded me of Darling Harbour in Sydney.

We have to use same bath towels for 4 nights. No one replace it for us. I paid extra for a Sea View room and instead they gave me a room that did not look like what was promoted when booking. We need go to the front desk to complaint about it to have a better view another day.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Moxy. It’s a clean modern hotel and the employees are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is adequate to get you going in the morning. Note this hotel is within walking distance of the center of activity but it is a hike. Plan on taking Ubers to save your walking energy for Bergen. Also note there isn’t much in the way of places to eat around the hotel and the hotel only serves breakfast or light fare at the bar, so you need to eat while in the city.

This was a very nice place to stay given the location and price. It’s a little bit far from the main tourist area, but transportation with buses/trains was really good.
The only issue I had with the room was there were no dressers. However, that seems to be the standard in many parts of the Netherlands, and the room was big enough so that we could organize our suitcases and be comfortable.
The bathroom was nice and they had elevators

Hotel is near the tram line which you can get from the airport stop is called Florida. It is three stops from Bergen centre. Hotel is basic no tea or coffee, no wardrobe, small rooms but quirky, clean, quiet (went in April) staff nice and great cocktails in the lobby bar. Didn’t eat there as centre not far plus there are restaurants nearby, also a bakery a short walk away where we went for breakfast.

We had an absolutely delightful stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is beautiful with a great lobby full of nooks and crannies for all to be comfy and cozy. There were nice games. The room was comfortable and clean although small for a “family room.” The staff were very helpful! Love this style of hotel!

Great location, fairly central, within a 10min drive from the main attractions in the town centre. Close to a tram stop too. Loved the industrial loft/artistic and quirky design of the hotel - very stylish. Breakfast was very good, had a decent variety of options.

One of the standout features of Moxy was its breakfast area. It's designed with ample soft and relaced seating options inside and outside rather than just traditional tables and chairs, even encouraging social interaction among guests. The hotel truly excels in providing other spaces for guests to socialize and unwind. The common areas are equipped with plenty of seating, making it easy to strike up conversations with fellow travellers. There are numerous board games and books available, creating a warm and inviting environment for both families and solo travellers.

For those looking for a bit more activity, the hotel offers a table tennis area and a gym. The game room is well-maintained and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the stay.

There is a paid public parking available next to the nearby hospital, Solheimsgaten 9 Parking on Google Maps, within just a 5 min walk. It costs about £18 per 24hrs.

ONLY redeeming quality hotel was first receptionist and view from the room. Otherwise, worst experience of trip. NO phone in the room. All questions, required trip to reception desk. Asked for adapter to charge phone. Told NO adapters to borrow; should plug phone directly into USB port by bed. Researched it; determined would have fried it. Back to reception, given adapter by different person. TV menu showed many channels available (15 or so). NONE were working. Another trip downstairs. Told by same man entire hotel TV system down and were working on it. Not told that upon check-in. Also stated that they only receive (when working) 3 channels. Asked why, when the TV Menu shows many more...Answer, it is way too expensive to get all those channels so they only pay for 3 of them. Many hours later, went back down again and was told still not working hotel wide. Besides no phone, there was no coffee maker. (Even the cheapest hotel we have stayed in had a coffee maker in the room.) While at the desk, I heard a new guest checking in ask for coffee. Reply. Free coffee closed but can BUY some at bar. Room not satisfactory. No closet; only grid on wall with 4 hangers. No drawers; Desk to small to hold my computer; no chair only stool too low for \"desk\". Only 2 pillows. Very inappropriate photos of young adult men & women scantily clad jumping on beds and inappropriate poses. Too explicit. Message: PARTY HOTEL; NOT LUXURY HOTEL. Happy only had 1 night stay!

Rooms are nice, new condition. The staff at the desk reception were very helpful and one young man took the time to help us find the local Hertz dealer.
Breakfast buffet was excellent! We walked to the wharf 25 minutes and train station in 20 minutes. I would stay again.

It’s a great place if you know what to expect going in. All parking is off site only a block away, 5 min walk at most. I loved their lobby/dining area as well as the view off the deck over the water. Waitstaff was nice with some much friendlier than others. If you’re going soon there is construction right outside the hotel which was pretty loud in the morning but didn’t affect us much because we were up early each day. Cleaning staff seems to start earlier than here in the states so depending on your sleeping schedule it could be an issue. We loved the convenience to city center which allowed us to stretch our legs with a mile walk into town. Close to light rail and parks. Would stay here again

The room was scrupulously clean and nicely spacious. There wasn't much storage space but it was adequate. The mattress was very firm to the point of being somewhat uncomfortable so we didn't sleep particularly well sometimes.

First of all, parking was a breeze. Although the hotel doesn't have it's own dedicated lot, there is easy-access parking just around the corner in an outdoor lot. We kept our car there for the three days we were in Bergen and just used the #1 train to easily get in and out of the city center. The train is a five minute walk from the hotel. Although we are in our 70s and this is obviously a \"hip\" hotel (do people still use that term?) we never felt out of place or unwanted. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, the housekeeping staff always said hello and smiled whenever we passed them in the hallways. This hotel is not located in the heart of the tourist district, but sits on a much quieter harbor around the corner from the main harbor. We loved the location. There aren't many restaurant choices nearby, but we would recommend skipping Ostra next door which we didn't like at all and trying out Restaurant Aster just a ten minute stroll up the harbor to the pedestrian bridge. We loved it, the staff is friendly and not pretentious, the food delicious and it's in a quiet setting.

This was a fun hotel to stay at. We were greeted by a free drink and the food offerings were great. Our room was big for European standards and the TV allowed us to cast from our ipads. We walked about 15 minutes from the train station and 30 minutes to get to the old section of Bergen. The hotel is right on the water so the views are wonderful. Overall, a great stay

Moxy Bergen was a great choice for my friend and I in our road-trip around. The surrounding waterfront is super beautiful yet peaceful. Public transit is convenient. The food and lounge area were all quite comfortable and fun. We ate multiple meals and enjoyed everything we had (burgers, snacks, drinks, breakfast). Appreciate how many vegetarian and non alcoholic options there were! Friendly staff and super comfortable stay overall! Parking is close by and easy as well.

First, the positives: we paid for a room with a view of the harbor, which was lovely. Being able to take the tram into town was very convenient.

I’m afraid it’s downhill from there… The awful smell of sewer gasses emanating from the bathroom sink the first morning and then from the shower drain the second morning alone ruined our stay. We did complain after the first night and they had maintenance repair the trap in the sink drain but we then had the same experience the next morning - this time from the shower drain. At other Marriott properties I’ve stayed at, they would’ve simply moved us to another room, but not here. We paid for breakfast both mornings and found it very disappointing, especially after an exceptional experience the day before at a different hotel. It just wasn’t up to Marriott standards and it was the same both mornings. The key card reader in both lifts didn’t work properly - it wasn’t just us, every time we got in the lift, other guests also struggled to get the card reader to work. We were able to park at a nearby surface lot but the staff at reception weren’t able to help point us to any nearby EV charging facilities (surprising considering the number of EVs we’ve seen in Norway). We had a much better experience at all the other hotels we stayed in during this week-long trip to Norway. I’m usually a fan of Marriott properties but we will not be staying at another ‘Moxy’ after this experience.

Hotel is new and very modern. Great lighting in the room, soft and not too bright. I really liked heated floor in the bathroom and ventilation in the shower. Unfortunately room was very small and there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It really spoiled my mornings that i couldn't make myself a nice cup of coffee in the morning while still in bed and my evening that i couldn't make myself nice cup of tea. Really disappointed about that because almost every hotel nowdays has that facilities.
Really nice surroundings of the hotel. You can swim in the fjord just outside the hotel. Its amazing. Good restaurants and shops nearby. Good public transport and airport connections.

Overall loved our 2-day stay at this well priced hotel. We had a sea view room on the first floor and it was spectacular. The room was very spacious and well curated with a modern, urban, trendy, and cozy feel. The icing on the cake was that their TV allowed streaming from personal devices so our daughter could feel at home with a few disney cartoons before bed.

The Property itself was fine, the room was great. The only downside was the staff and how long it took them to do anything. I think this down to only having one till at the bar area, so queues did build up.
Also Americans...stop being so loud that you wake up the entire hotel

Property is right on the water, and you can enjoy your breakfast or an evening cocktail on the deck outside. You can walk to downtown from the hotel although it is a 20-minute trek. The city feels pretty safe, and we walked everywhere. Only downside, without a dresser, closet, or shelves, there is very little storage in the room, so I mainly lived out of my suitcase. OK for a day or two, but it might be inconvenient if the stay were longer.

The rooms were nice but the beds were hard and no coffee maker or refrigerator in room. Parking is offsite and not next to the hotel but about a 5 minute walk (and usually in the rain because its Bergen). You can pull up in front of hotel to drop luggage. Then use GPS to find parking, since simple directions are difficult to find (easier to walk back along the harbor). Can't park at the nearby hospital, max 3 hours. Short walk over bridge to light rail which takes you to the sentrum/harbor area.

Beautiful location right on waterfront! Short walk to skyss (just across the bridge). Rooms are nice but not big like north american hotel chains. Bed is a bit hard like people said but it did not give me a sore back like hard beds usually do, so maybe it's some kind of special bed? I wish it would have had a safe in the room and although the hook rack was useful, I would have liked some more shelves. I was scared to put things on the shelf that the TV sits on. Nice conditioner in the shower! There really isn't anywhere close to find breakfast, so either plan to take the skyss or eat at the hotel (we did not try it but it looked good).

In a nutshell, this is a hippie hotel for the youth. You can tell by the decorations in the lobby and the elevators!

Pros:
- The view in the sea view rooms is beautiful.
- Kind staff.
- A free welcome drink.
- The parking lot is nearby and is run by sesam sesam (if you have a rental car, you don't have to worry about the payment as you'll be billed the amount upon returning the car. We had a car from Avis/Budget and that was our experience).
- Nice waterfront area for an outdoor walk or run.
- There are rental bicycles next to the hotel main entrance.

Cons:
- Very expensive for the experience!
- No safe in the room.
- No phone in the room to call the reception or another room. What if an emergency happens?!
- No wardrobe. Only hangers on the wall.
- No coffee machine or utensils. However, you can get utensils and dishes/bowls from the reception.
- No bellboy to help with the luggage. You have to do it all by yourself. So, it can be tough if you're a family with children or elderly. Also, the luggage cart is similar to the ones in the airport, and they only have two of those.
- No free parking or valet parking.

The customer service could have been better. The check-in took about 25 minutes. It was a slow process to find rooms booked a week in advance and considering my status as a platinum member of Bonvoy.

Moxy is new and modern. The room was comfortable but not memorable. The breakfast was okay, but the layout is quite weird for the guests to serve themselves. The location is good.

Parking in a gravel pit where all our luggage got wet carrying it to the hotel. Check-in staff really didn't know what they were doing. Not many food options around the hotel

Try it, you'll love it.

Friendly staff, great cocktails, very current, hip property. Although, not in town central, it's a quick and easy tram ride to the center.

While this hotel tries really hard to be hip, it’s not. Sure, the downstairs seems cool but it tries too hard. Speaking of hard, my gosh the beds are bricks! I couldn’t sleep through the night on those rock hard things. It was so bad I actually left a day early just to find a place where I could get a comfortable night’s sleep. Breakfast was ridiculously overpriced for what was offered. It was essentially a bastardized form of an American breakfast. The restaurant that is linked to the hotel is also overpriced for what it offers. $9 for a single taco? $16 for chewy chips and salsa? Not impressed at all. It may be on the water, but I’m sure there’s better options out there than this.

Love the Bohemian feel and playfulness of the decor. The grounds surrounding the room are beautiful and the location for walking is unbeatable.
