Right at the harbor front, convenient location, a supermarket 3 mins walk away. Easy walk to the tram stop to go to airport. Breakfast was excellent! They allow late checkout for CAD$15 per hour.

Our room was very clean and the hotel is very close to all the things to do. The room was oddly arranged and had a very high step up to the bathroom which could be bothersome. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant had great fish soup. We ate there twice.

Can’t beat the location, absolutely perfect. Go for a room with a balcony and have breathtaking views, recommend room 602. Only downside is the room, nowhere to hang clothes other than a tiny section behind a mirror, tea/coffee selection very poor and kettle has to be out on the floor to be plugged in. The room was also very cold despite heating up to full.

Be aware. If you arrive on a Monday and it’s after 12pm, (which is likely as checkin is approx 3pm) and you have an early flight the next day, then somehow you are suppose to know to prebook a takeaway breakfast, as kitchen is closed!! Would not refund our breakfast and once I went to manager they agreed to pack some food. It was not fresh or appealing. Old apples, out of date muesli bars and drinks we couldn’t take through airport security. Disappointing.

1. The room was not as described on the picture. It was a very small room, with inadequate lights. When asked about it , the staff said they can’t put pictures of all rooms! It is absolutely deceiving the costumer

Magic hotel is centrally located very near the harbour and a good place to stay. We were there last month early September for a night. Rooms are compact but have everything. Beds are comfortable and hotel is clean. Good breakfast selection. They have tea and coffee facilities for no extra cost in the lobby 24 hours a day which was the best part. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Breakfast was self service buffet, very busy but well managed.

Ideal location for exploring Bergen, fjords and Fløyen.

Breakfast was wonderful. A lot of options to choose from. We had to switch rooms 3 times. The 1st time - room was on the 5th floor(when we opened the bathroom it smelled so bad and there was pee left on the toilet and a sock under the bed. Room was a bit small. Second room was on the 6th floor way smaller than the 1st room so we didn't like it. The final room was on the 2nd floor - big one but the windows does not open up since window is facing the restaurant. I liked the heated floor of the bathroom. The front staff was kind enough to provide us with a fan to let the air circulate and make our room comfortable and cool. All in all I like this hotel. Close proximity to many sites, restaurants and transportation. A bit pricey but i think worth it.

Great location on the wharf, by all the shops and restaurants. The free Breakfast was really good and lots of options. Room was on 6th floor and was basic and ok, heating didn’t seem to work all the time but heated floor in bathroom was great for drying wet clothes. I would have preferred a kettle in the room rather than have to keep going to reception to get a hot drink every time & ask for milk, overal great stay.

When we arrived early the gent on reception did not hesitate to check us in.
The room was clean and the bed comfy. It was cleaned daily.
The only improvement would be to provide tea / coffee making facility in the room.
The bathroom was clean with a good shower.
Breakfast was good with a choice of hot and cold items.
Location was excellent.

In the City Center of Bergen. We had a great view. The room was tidy and clean. Beds were great. We had breakfast and the meal was just what we needed to start a long day. We had a quick drink at the bar when we came in late and the bartender , Pedro ,was welcoming.

The best things about this property were the location, the “classic” harbour view from my room, and the front desk staff (they were so kind and helpful)…

But, everything else needs help. The cleaning staff were not at all thorough, the property seems to be in dis-repair and needing some serious TLC, the lobby restaurant area feels abandon, the hallways were dirty, no closet to hang cloths or safe for valuables in the room, no phone, the coffee maker did not work, and was never re-supplied by the room staff, the shower is wide open to the bathroom and floods the floor with each use, and the list goes on…If it wasn’t for the view and the front desk staff I’d have left after the first night. There are many better alternatives - do your homework.

Had it not been for the issues with cards accessing the room, i would have rated higher. We were there for 3 nights and had issues, reception said they were updating their system hence issues. Our entry card had to be reprogrammed daily. So not good...otherwise rooms were excellent, breakfast was really good and located was close to everything.

We wasnt advised that we needed to book in advance for the restaurant and we didnt find the staff very accommodating ,I looked at the menu a couple of weeks before and a dish that my son would eat was not available and was told it was an old menu they was no effort to help with alternative and we had to find some were else to eat which was very disappointing.

We stayed at Magic Hotel in Bergen and overall had a very good experience. The location is excellent — right by the harbour and the shopping district, and only about a 12-minute walk to Bergen train station, which was perfect for us when we did the Norway in a Nutshell tour.

Our room was up on the top floor (\"in the gods,\" as it felt!). It was comfortable and fine for our stay, though I had requested a view and unfortunately didn’t get one. Tea and coffee weren’t provided in the room, but facilities were available at reception, which was a useful alternative.

One small concern was around the fire evacuation procedures. A fire alarm did go off during our stay, and while it turned out not to be serious, the communication about what was happening could have been clearer.

That said, the hotel suited our needs very well, and with its convenient location, I’d recommend it to others visiting Bergen.

Great location and big room. Reception staff very friendly and professional but a few issues - the heating system has issues in some rooms and we were told they couldn't turn it off when it was loud. They did offer to move us but it was for a night in a small room then move next day so we accepted a fan instead. My husband searched the heating system online and managed to change a setting to make it quiet. The cleaners changed the towels and shower gel etc but never the coffee or cups even when we told reception

Breakfast was excellent.
But the service was disappointing because the shampoo and body wash were so low quality. The towels ware not soft and the sink was stuck.
I really do loved bed and pillows. The view was beautiful and at the last minute i.e. 4 minutes after checkout time, I was closing my luggage to come out but someone suddenly entered the room for cleaning, without knocking the door, which was a bit uncomfortable situation.
The people who were working in the hotel were so welcoming and nice.

This hotel is ideally located to walk (or e-scooter) around the centre of Bergen. Good sized room for my wife, me and our 15yr old son on a temporary bed. Bathroom and shower v nice. The breakfast was extremely good and varied (very busy at around 9am though). Happily stay here again and would recommend. If you are driving around Norway, parking is discounted at a nearby car park (10 min walk).

Great location near multiple restaurants and shopping! Clean and spacious room/ apartment. The room has a small fridge and stove top. We only saw 1 cooking pot in case you are thinking of making your food. Great complimentary breakfast! After paying a bunch for coffee and pastry for breakfast daily, it was nice to have an included breakfast buffet. The higher room price is worth it. We will be back!

Due to a filthy sink, we were moved to a room which didn't have a bathroom door (the only other room free) The second day we were moved to a fabulous room with a view of the harbour as a sort of apology. The fire alarm had us all outside at 1230am on the first night thanks to a drunken guest. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The ladies on reception tried their hardest for us and were genuinely caring. Regrettably they had no back up from either maintenance or management over a weekend

Convenient location that is 1 block away from the pier.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
There was a heat wave during our visit and there is no AC in the rooms. The window in our room only cracked open a little bit but they did give us some fans.
Breakfast was excellent, lots of options for all!
Room itself was clean, beds were comfortable.

Good location with an excellent breakfast buffet and nice rooms. Unfortunately it was quite warm when we were there and our AC did not work. Several other guests had the same problem and the staff did confirm there was a problem effecting multiple rooms and they offered us a fan and a credit. One of the two elevators also was out of order during our stay. Otherwise this seemed like a good hotel and hopefully they can get their maintenance issues fixed.

Room was spacious, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great - lots of choices. However, Bergen had a hot day which translated to a warmer room. On arrival, room temp was 25.0°C. By following evening, room temp had increased to 26.5°C (80°F). Too hot for good sleep. No A/C. We were given a new room, slightly cooler. Evening temps outside had dropped significantly, but no effect inside.

This is a great hotel considering the room tariff I paid for my three nights stay at Magic Hotel. The hotel location is one of the best and just across the fish market.
The staff are also great. Though I booked their least priced room but the front desk upgraded me to the harbor view room. The room was really big and the bathroom was also good size. The bathroom was very clean. The bed and linen all private of very good quality. I enjoyed the breakfast every morning and they have 24 hours free coffee and tea in the reception and also a restaurant in the hotel.
There is no wardrobe or phone or iron in the room. But overall I was very happy that I booked this hotel.

Walking distance from main spots in Bergen.Perfect position to explore. Stop for airport bus 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
Breakfast is ok. Restaurant in the hotel if needed. Supermarket around the corner.

We loved our room. Best value for the money on our 10 day trip in Norway. We had a twin room with harbor view which was very spacious and the view was beautiful. There were plenty of options on the breakfast buffet and it was easy to walk to everywhere we wanted to go in Bergen.
