The M Lounge was dismal very poor offering.
The guestroom AC did not provide any heat.
Elevators were a disaster. 2 out of 4 elevators were out intermittently.

Wouldn't recommend.

Smelly bathroom if you don't shower every 5 minutes. Silverfish infestation, tripled checked all clothes to make sure I don't take them home. Shower gel and conditioner bottles were empty. Checkin opens at 3 PM and we qued for 20 minutes because they didn't expect people to check in at i guess. Would not recommend at all. Totally not the experience we were expecting from a Marriott.

I stayed 10 días for a UN climate conference, the property is great, but the staff and specially management should be change, the hotel was fully book and they didn’t have capacity of running it. The roam couldn’t be clean daily, the breakfast over price, customer service was terrible !!!! Paid for roams at over price received a terrible experience!!!

Great experience with few complaints

I can say that my experience was extremely good, the hotel is very modern . The only things i can complain about was the receptionist when we checked in was rude . First I spoke in English with her and then she asked my gf if she speaks German! So first it was rude that she stopped me to speak in German(i dont speak German) second she told her something : you will not have nice view since your partner booked the basic room , and i found it rude since you cant say this to a customer! Second complain was that the curtain in the room was bit broken and they didnt change the cartoon cups for hot drinks. Other than that, the other receptionist on check out was very nice and staff and the spa receptionist were very friendly. Overall, the experience was very good and i advise people to book.

We rented 4 rooms for 5 nights. 1st room was not cleaned for 3 days. the other room had no shampoo. the daily cleaning was just to fix the bed linen. dirty coffee cup was left on the table for 3 days. they put the used towel on the floor back as a clean towel. The thing I was most angry about was that they knocked on my door at 8 am on the day of check-out and said we came for cleaning. It was the most disgraceful guest I have ever experienced in my life. sorry for the money i spent

Very good hotel, but not in the centre.

As overall it was a great stay at the hotel. On arrival, we did not get the rooms that we have booked in advance, with river view, but we get the back side. After showing my booking copy, the staff had changed our rooms to the right ones, with the view to the river. The rooms are nice clean and cozy. The hotel is not quite in the centre of the city, so consider taking the subway for several stops.

Disappointed by previous high standards met

Overall, mixed experience. The building, the rooms and views make this amazing and save the bad experience with service.

My family had some questions about the restaurant or the city, Front Desk barely picked up and made us wait hours just tk finally clarify if there is a table available for at the Konrad's restaurant. Secondly the room was not made one day, and a toilet brush was left in the toilet. Not things you expect from the Marriott as long time members. And lastly the others in our party had the corner sweet, gorgeous view but the living area had a weird furniture with the TV basically on ground level and it was pushed about 1 meter from the wall with many cables exposed, looked horrible and cannot imagine this was the normal design, looked like a botched repair.

All in all, great area and we'll jot this down as an \"off day\" because all the other things were great, i.e. comfort, room size, views, room service.

Really wanted to like the hotel but it felt they had cut back too much. For example after 4 days the club terrace had not been cleared of left over food and drink. We never once saw lift buttons or communal handles being cleaned despite the covid restrictions.

It was not as expected. A Marriott hotel is an upscale one and this one felt like a hostal.
Elevator service was terrible. I felt sorry for the people staying on floors 4th and up. I saw many people walking down the stairs with 2 pieces of lugage as the elevators were so slow. Staff didnt smile as they spoke to you, this makes a huge difference. The only pretty service I got was in the restautant in the last floor. The bar staff was friendly.

-Received the wrong room at checkin and had to swap.
-Swimming pool was closed for the duration of our stay.
-Air Conditioning did not work (during the heat wave June2019)
-Breakfast is supposedly until 11:00 am, hover many buffet items where empty and not replenished at 10:40, the staff said no more is coming because “it’s finished.“

The hotel looks 4/5 star, but operates like a 2 star.

Shame.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location right beside the Rheine River. We couldn't have asked for better. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the mornings to start our day. We thoroughly enjoyed Bonn and the surrounding area. Very beautiful to visit.
Our only negative comment would be the see through glass in the bedroom shower. If everyone are not couples it may be complicated. We showered with the bathroom lights off. However....the showers were lovely..

Everything was great - comfortable room, bed and bathroom, good air conditioning, no noise pollution. Except for one aspect: the carpet was covered with small stains and streaks, as if dirt had been carried in from the street and not removed. The idea of walking in the room without shoes was not nice. In a hotel of this category I would not have expected such a thing.

We booked through Expedia but the hotel could not find our reservation which caused a long delay in checkin. Even though we had paid Expedia, the hotel still put a charge on our VISA and we had to contact the hotel to inquire why this was necessary. The explanation was so convoluted and had something to do with hotel security. As of today (Sept 07/18 )there is still a charge pending on our VISA for $152.95.In all our years of staying at hotels we have NEVER encountered double billing as a security measure for the hotel.

Spent 1 night in Bonn. Had food and a few drinks in the bar (restaurant was full). Club sandwich was excellent, bitburger as always was excellent. Drinks were a little slow in coming to us but that just meant we could take it steady and not get too drunk. Also popcorn comes gratis and the smell of cooking popcorn fills the bar. Some will love this, others not so much. Parking is direct under hotel (€20 per night - bit steep) and when no conferences are on its lovely and quiet.

Everything was good, rooms clean, comfy bed, good check in. except when we went to the 17th floor for drinks and dinner. Ordered 2 gin cocktails, were told the bar was busy so would be 10 mins. 2 hours, 2 meals and bottle of wine later, cocktails never turned up!! Air conditioning needs to be set lower, 18•c was not cold enough. Apart from that would go back if in Bonn.

What You Would Expect From A Global Chain.

My stay at this hotel is what I have come to expect from a global hotel chain. Staff and hotel were very nice.

My only complaint would be the air conditioning in the room. Even while on the lowest setting the room, does not seem to get cold. I had this happen at another hotel in Germany so I am not sure if it is just bad luck or a German thing in regards to AC. I had to resort to opening the window to get some cool air to come in to make the room comfortable.

Given the proximity to the Post Tower I would most certainly use this hotel again should business call for it.

Very comfortable hotel - well soundproofed rooms, big comfy beds, spacious bathrooms and wifi that actually works. The upstairs bar has got amazing views, but for the price you pay for drinks and food I'd expect far better service. Simple bar food took 45 mins to appear and the bar staff seemed more interesting in chatting and arguing with each other than looking after guests. But that shouldn't put you off using the hotel - maybe I caught them on an off night and it is after all a well equipped place where you can get a decent night of sleep!

I stayed there due to a conference in the building adjacent to it. The hotel was quite nice and the front desk staff was extremely welcoming, ensuring that every customer is treated very well. That is always a great impression. Room was nice, well laid out. I had a Jr Suite that includes breakfast in the lounge, which in and of itself is quite small but cozy. Breakfast is more basic, but I could make do. It also includes outside area. The gym is functional and in the basement, near the car park. Everything made for an enjoyable stay...but the elevator situation. Not all go down to the basement, and it was not unusual to wait for a 3-4 minutes (literally) for one to appear when called. Other than that, this was great for where I had to be. Otherwise, really not much around to do. The hotel boasts nice views of Bonn from the top floor and has a restaurant. But in the vicinity, the food options are not existent within a mile radius or so. Not insurmountable, but nothing right there. Also, the hotel car park is not theirs and twice the price as the one across the street (20 vs. 10). Two main issues (when you are on business): 1. Advertized you can pay by card, but does not work. 2. I paid cash (20 Euro), and made sure to opt for a receipt...which was never delivered. Front desk stated they would follow up with the car park manager. Again, hotel staff is very nice. Just a few things to be aware of...that have nothing to do with the hotel service, really. Good to know though.

Bonn's newest international hotel

A typical international standard hotel that is a welcome addition to the city (only other international Hotel is the Hilton). Made more enjoyable by the newness of everything, my stay was enjoyable. It is immediately adjacent to the UN Climate Change Office and its meeting facilities in addition to the World Conference Center Bonn.

Great new hotel, a few minor fixes required.

An overnight for business. the hotel is brand new, been open only 3 days but very nice indeed. There are a few little things that need fixing (the wardrobe hanging rails had not been attached so you could not hang any clothes up) but these are minor details and I hope will be resolved soon.
The views on the water are fantastic, we even saw some hot air balloons.
