I’ve always enjoyed the buffet breakfast but had never stayed at the property. After staying here, I would absolutely stay here again. Decadent design, great location and amazing amenities. Even the rooms have umbrellas for you to use. I will stay here again.

It is a nice hotel but some of the amenities and hardwares are getting old and that causes some issues. Had problems with toilet, jacuzzi, room control, room electricity. Also breakfast buffet is mainly thai food.

The location was the best part. Liked that it was across the street from the beach and a short walk to several shopping areas, bars, and restaurants. Also, within walking distance of Soi 6 and Walking Street.

Regarding the hotel itself and the room, I didn't care much for the heavy perfume smell when I first entered the room. Also, the shower cold water didn't work well and had shower heads you couldn't use. The decor looked dated. The foot rest was stained. Paint looked worn. Of the two sets of elevator buttons on the floor, one button usually didn't work or didn't light up when you pressed it.

The staff was very friendly.

I had stayed there last year and had a better room but the balcony view was of an empty field between hotels. This time, I overlooked the street.

The room's balcony was small and had one chair, a table, and the A/C unit. You have to turn off the room's A/C if you plan to sit on the balcony otherwise you'll get the hot air from the A/C unit blown onto you and have to listen to the unit run.

Despite it all, it's a good 3.2-3.5 out of 5 and would need some cosmetic work and maintenance to reach a 4.

Change which they have me for 3500 baht cash only. I think that could’ve been handled differently since the original room smelled really bad. New room was great. Comfy bed, location to beach, walking street, etc was great.

This Hotel is a legit spot for all activities under the sun and is still family appropriate. It has a welcoming atmosphere upon entering the hotel and the MALE staff are very informative. DONT ask the ladies to get you a taxi at this hotel, because one of them tried to screw me over as a guest/tourist. I am familiar with Pattaya and the prices for most short distances in Around Pattaya. I ASKED a staff member if she could get me a taxi to a shop literally around the block, 5 min walk at best, but I was checking out and had my bags so I wanted a taxi to take me to the tattoo shop. Instead of helping me get a good price and provide good service.. she tried to price gouge me as a toourist and she said, \" um I can get a taxi for 200 Baht, is that ok? And I was like no and highly disappointed. Because before I came to this hotel I was staying at 247 Boutique on soi 11 due to no rooms being available. When I left that hotel, I asked the staff at that hotel the same question when I was checking out. NOT, only did she book me a taxi to this hotel, she also told me which app to use to get the best rates for transportation so that I dont get screwed by people like the woman at the desk of this hotel. Other than the disappointing nature of that one front desk hotel employee, I do plan to return to this Hotel again. I visit Thailand about 3 times a year and this was my first time at this Hotel. BECAUSE of its location on Beach road, breakfast buffet, alcohol/weed Bar/shop

The staff at front desk was horrible. At checkout I stood in front of them while the two staff socialized and as if I didn’t exist until I said something. The hotel manager should be fired for mismanagement. I called bell man to pick up my bags no show. Receipt ion said there’s only one working. But I see him standing in lobby. This was my third time staying here not coming back. And hotel prices are not that great here compared to others in area. And also when I got to my room there was cockroaches in my room and balcony slider door didn’t close. I complained next day but nothing was done. I even found cockroach in middle of night in my bed. I did complain with Expedia when how was my check in nothing was done. Being gold member with Expedia didn’t mean anything or nothing was done. Was quite disappointed with Expedia.

Excellent location on beach road. Staff friendly and helpful, room was huge with a big spa bath in the bathroom. A bit dated but has a grandeur feel.

Its an older hotel but still very good stay. Breakfast buffet changed daily. Staff were attentive. Far enough away from the red light to not be loud.

Wish had a convenience or grocery nearby as the 2 bottles of gratis water quickly get drank in the heat.

No restaurant but the partner restaurant 3 blocks away is good and plenty of street vendors about.

The hotel is well located on the beach front but the hotel is very old and screaming out for updates and repairs. At first I was given a room with high voltage electric pole within touching distance from my balcony. I requested a change. Was then given a so call City view that faces a rubbish dump. The bath tub wasn't working, ceiling lights was burnt out and the room furniture was falling a part. Couldn't move out quick enough. Very bad experience for me.

All the hotels, not just LK, give you 6 big extremely uncomfortable pillows. They care more about photos appearance of a lot of comfort. But the pillows are never comfortable. Almost unusable. how about only 2 good down pillows instead of 6 miserable uncomfortable pillows.

We stayed for three nights. Although the price was reasonable, the conditions were less than ideal. The first issue was the smell. Very musty, mixed with the strong odor or insecticides. The room was not very clean, and in need of new paint/renovation. The nail in the coffin was the water. The shower was already difficult to bear, being extremely hot, no matter how it was adjusted…but there apparently was an issue with their tank, and we got disgusting dirty water out of the hot tap. It looked brown and had a ton of sediment and rust in it. Not sanitary at all. I’m supposed to bathe & brush my teeth with it?! No way! There was no effort by the staff to inform of the problem, nor did they provide additional bottled water to brush/shave with. Not good at all. My wife and 4-year old daughter were horrified. Our room was listed as a “city view” but the only view from the window was a plot of land with a single abandoned house, crumbling into decrepitude.

This place is right in the middle of two very big party areas….walk one way and you’re at walking street and the other direction is Central Mall.

Plenty of food options, transportation, and shopping around. The beach is also 25 yards in front of the hotel…..just be careful crossing the streets in Thailand!

My wife and I have stayed at the Empress multiple times. It had become our favorite hotel in the region. This time the restaurant was open only for breakfast(and there was a surcharge for bacon)!

The room had air conditioner issues though staff was prompt to repair it. The hotel is looking worn and needs an update. Our room was in the shorter building on Beach road. Security was very lax. Anyone could enter at night and take the elevator to the guest room floors.

Staff in general remained very good.

We hope to see the LK restored to its previous glory

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at LK Empress. The location was what I wanted, central, easy walking distance to most of the action. Bed was comfortable, linen and pillows where above average. Pool was clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was above standard. But my message to the hotel management would be, \"You can do better!\" First - Staff greeting and friendliness. While staff were undoubtedly polite and helpful, they were not up to the exceptional standard I experienced at two other hotel/resorts I stayed at earlier in this trip. Other hotels are working harder for the return of tourist dollars. Give your staff a pep-talk. Second - Cleanliness. No complaints about the room, but your lobby area has a large glass front with a revolving door. Almost everyday I could easily see hand prints on the glass. That should be a priority to keep clean eveyday. There are other examples that are simply paying attention to details, and don't require any additional staffing or costs to improve. The next two criticisms do involve additional costs. One - The balcony furniture is stricly decorative, and basically useless in function. Not remotely confortable to sit on those wrought iron chairs. Two - Bathroom towels. Now this is more of a personal preference. I know industrial strength towels are the norm for most hotels, but every now and then I find a hotel that actually uses quality, soft towels. They automatically go up a star.

Room had old dank odor. Shower head broke while showering. Weak toilet flush. Stained furnishings. No balcony access. Overall old look, old furnishings. Spacious with kitchenette, large fridge but old. Shower door didn’t close all the way. No AC in hallways or elevator. Elevator was a mosquito and lizard trap. I hated the elevator, just mosquito attack every time you step into it.... I did not like it there and was glad to leave! The view was the only reason we didn’t demand to change rooms!

Very nice hotel. From a selfish perspective, especially nice at the moment given that there is no mass tourism, so it's very quiet. One hopes their business model can survive. Everywhere is very clean, spacious and comfortable, and elegant in an \"apocalyptic Baroque\" sort of way that I happen, in Thailand, to find rather charming. The room was a bit overfurnished for its size, but the furniture was very comfortable. Sea view is very pleasant and the balcony, if you turn off the air-conditioning (and hope that next door has theirs turned off as well), would be a nice place to sit out and watch the goings-on.
Breakfast was a little odd - there seemed to be hot water but no tea, only coffee, and the buffet was understandably reduced to a minimum given the shortage of guests. However, the rice soup with pork was absolutely delicious. Staff were uniformly pleasant and efficient, and there were no awkward moments when dealing with minor bureaucratic procedures late at night.

Excellent hotel on beach road with many restaurants, bars and entertainment nearby. Rooms are large and well maintained, but are beginning to show some wear. Easy walking to everything. Lovely view of the Gulf of Thailand. Nice breakfast, with a great omlet chef. Very responsive staff. We would happily stay here again.

For the area, this is one of the best hotels around. Staff were all great and I’d have no reservations at all booking here again.....as a bonus, their TV channels are geared towards English speaking clientele and the hotel is right on the beach and in the middle of a few shopping malls with plenty of dining options.
