The air conditioner did not work properly and needs servicing, as it did not cool the room at all. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on and was also quite noisy during the night. The rooftop pool was poor. The only good thing about this apartment was its central location.….. Would not recommend

Great service, central location, basic comfort.

The staff at the hotel were really so accommodating and friendly, let me store my luggage after and early morning flight before check in was possible, put a rush on the check in due to my said early flight, swapped out tv with a brand new one after I mentioned some issues, bedrooms were nicely serviced daily. The location of the accommodation was perfect and central to walk to everything and catch trains to wherever. Loved it.

Good apartment in central location

A good central location. Very convenient for city, restaurants, etc. The apartment was great, with good bathroom and kitchen areas. The pool on the roof top was good, with one exception - the steps into the pool were broken and couldn't be used. Also, the air conditioning in the main room worked OK for that room, but the air didn't flow into the bedroom. Hence it was a little uncomfortable for sleeping.

who we dealt with were kind and extremely helpful

Our room was not the cleanest nor modern but had the basics even though our pot to cook in handle was broken, fry pan was of poor quality.

On our 3rd day the person who makes bed and empty rubbish left our door open all day, we found this upsetting as all our stuff was inside. We notified desk and they said they reported it but felt like that was the end of it......I think leaving a room door not on its latch pretty poor for the amount of money we paid to not be looked after. After this i felt pretty unsafe and asked the desk to not send anyone over to do beds or bins as trust was gone. No compensation was offered.

The property is in a great location. It’s definitely a bit run down. The air on didn’t work properly and we asked for a fan. The manager was excellent and went and bought one as they didn’t have any. It was definitely over priced but we were there for the Taylor Swift weekend so everything was overpriced.

The apartment was in a dated condition. Observed they are fixing updated one next door. When tv was not working employee acted immediately and organised another one. Half hour after we left we noticed we had left our phone charger and cord there. Contacted them and still waiting to find out if going to be mailed bavk.

Great location except fir traffic noise friendly helpful staff room serviced each day which we didn’t expect but the place we stayed in was dirty rundown old ( is next to be renovated a staff member told us but we paid full lprice) the front entrance full of stuff out of a unit being renovated sat there fir 3 days . Carpet was filthy walls dirty balcony disgusting even the lift snd vestibule dirty Very tiny room with bulky furniture so no space when sofa bed out resulting in someone else knocking a hole in the wall prior to our stay just painted over!! Towel was so thin it went into holes. Very disappointing was to be a treat weekend for my cousin from NZ who needed a pick me up Lucky the area is nice or things would have been worse. I could not rate this place anything other than a disgrace

Grate location, Its an older property in moderate condition.
Clean & tidy with full laundry facilities & dishwasher, small fridge with a separate freezer, in the unit I stayed in.
NOT suitable for anyone with a physical disability (even though there’s a lift) as there are steep steps at the from of the building but it maybe possible to enter the building through the garage.
Or a light sleepers, even on level 5 the traffic noise is loud given that it’s a main road.
Having said that would consider staying again.

The living area was reasonably spacious, and the balcony was reasonably private. The bedroom was separated from the living space.
The bathroom was spacious, with a bath, but in desperate need of a deep clean and renovation, as was the entire apartment. The bathroom fan did not work, the paint was falling off the ceiling, and there was mould all through the shower and surrounding walls.
There was heavy overnight road works going on at the end of the narrow alley that our balcony overlooked, and the noise and vibrations were horrendous; we were not forewarned that this would occur. There was also renovation happening in the building, but this was sign posted.
Reception staff were lovely, but we will not stay here again until renovations are done.

Hi I had just travelled 6 hours from the bush back to the city for work. I was so tired. So happy when Joseph immediately grabbed my luggage and took me to reception to check me in. Unbelievable kindness. The staff are so friendly and helpful. My room was exceptional, full kitchen, full sized fridge, big bathroom , living area and bedroom and the decor! Two balcony doors. The view is sooo beautiful, there's two tvs one in the living area and one in the bedroom. Washer and dryer in my unit too, which makes its so convenient when you just want to rest. The cleanliness is an 11 out of 10. I love the large lounge in the living area to lounge on. Beautiful furniture! Definitely stay another three nights and the restaurants and so close within walking distance!

Great location, close to Darling Harbour which is main reason for booking.
Booked for 2 adults, 2 children - only 2 bath towels in bathroom. Had to go and get more towels from reception which wasted time.
Aerial in TV was already damaged hence no signal on TV. For the price you pay, you would expect a TV to be working especially with kids in the room.
Phone in room did not work to call reception, liquid stains on telephone which was gross.
Level 1 where we stayed had a side alley from the street (King St) which we had the pleasure of being woken up before midnight with a group of loud drunken people outside for at least 40min while they drank, swore, smashed bottles in the alley way.

The location of the unit is why I chose it - it is within walking distance of Darling Harbour - so a great location. This is probably the only positive of the unit!

I knew the unit was an older one, but the condition of the unit was not what I had expected! We didn't stay in the units as advertised in the pictures, but across the road in another building that had Metro owned units - so we didn't actually see the unit until we got the keys.

The unit we stayed in had a leaking air conditioning unit and we had to place a saucepan under each of the leaks to try to prevent any damage to the floor. The pans had to be emptied frequently. This was obviously an already known issue as the painting that was supposed to be on the wall under the air conditioning unit was in the wardrobe. This issue was reported to the management.

The bathroom was shabby! The tiles in the shower had been painted over and the paint was peeling, the extractor fan didn't work and the paint around it was peeling. The carpet and the rug in the lounge had dirty marks on them, and the carpet in the bedroom was fraying.

This unit was booked as a little holiday for my husband and I after suffering a bereavement in the family, and I have to say I was expecting more for the price paid.

Very sad property in need of a refresh. The furniture was tired and a couple of holes had been punched in the walls and badly repaired. We were a bit gobsmacked to be asked to provide photo identification for both me as the person responsible for the booking and payment and my wife. We were given two door access cards for the room entry, but only one device to access the front door to the property. We don’t think we will be returning.

The stay was extremely disappointing - my booking got mixed up when I checked in (although they did ring and apologise) but the condition of the apartment was very poor, stained floors, chipped cheap furniture, very poor TV reception, the bathroom was extremely dated and they had tried to cover dirt and grime but it had just made it worst. I asked for two beds and did not get this - will never stay here again

I should’ve read the other reviews about this place. Yes it is budget accommodation and the location to Darling Harbour is fantastic. But the noise from people and cars on the street around midnight is so loud, it sounds as though we left a window open. Both my young children woke up as a result and barely slept the night. I wish I’d paid more for accommodation where we could have a well rested nights sleep.

This was good for a short stay. It is pleasantly close to Darling Harbour, but subject to constant noise from the freeway, especially when sitting on the balcony.
I had some hazard concerns about shower access and the gas stovetop that I reported when I checked out.
The stairs to the office and the King St property present significant access issues for those with disabilities.
Also, we received only one set of keys for the two oen f us. Is this policy?
As so often in the hotel industry, the WIFI was not WPA secure, not even having a password in this case.
On a positive note, the apartments are close to public transport, convenience stores and a Coles mini market.
Also, the cleaning staff keep the kitchen clean, the sheets changed as necessary and the bathroom looking great.

If I was just giving a rating on the location- it would be five star- amazing location! Staff was great- had a problem with the bathroom and they changed rooms for us.
Apartments need a makeover really badly. Need to replace the living room furniture and carpeting and paint the place. A good steam cleaning would help. Very outdated.
But again- the location was simply perfect and the price was good. So I would consider staying there again and cross my fingers that they updated it before I get back there.

Describing how to get to the motel (check in was at one motel then we had to go across the road and up a bit to our actual motel)she was unaware of our agreed 12noon checkout-lack of communication / documentation amoungst staff.

The room was very old, curtain rail fell down as soon as we got there. The couch and rug were stained. The cushion cover and skirting had what looked like blood stains on it. No screens on door or windows.
It was extremely noisy with traffic all day.

It was ok.

While the street noise was to be expected as it is in quite a busy area, there was a lot of knocking on the walls coming from permanent residence of the building. It only appeared to happen at night. The carpets were quite filthy as well (black feet after only half an hour). Our little access key thing didn't let us in to the pool area either although, we did learn later that this could be fixed. If that happens to you, get it swapped at the front desk for a new one.
All in all, it was within walking distance to all the essentials and most things. I was there to perform for the fringe festival with my mum and child. It suited us for what was needed.

The apartments were ideally located for an event I was attending in the city. Enough for for myself and nice to have a small living room. The only cons were the bed and pillows were not comfortable and there was a distinct smell throughout the whole unit. But as it was only for one night, it was fine. Luke at reception was fantastic!!
