Really pleased with cleanliness and attitude of staff which was very polite and helpful. Great price and exceeded my expectations for value. Great maid service, cleaning lady did awesome job thoroughly cleaning rooms. Even bed sheets and cover replaced daily which impressed me the most. All soap and toiletries, water also replaced daily regardless if used or not. Owner keeps up on all maintenance and obviously take pride in what they do. Excellent location with everything you need nearby right outside your door. Not a 5-star hotel but I was still satisfied with everything just the same. The younger girl at check-in professional and polite, being very patient with me when I requested to look at two or three other rooms at first, but the first room we were given was the one I ended up picking because it had bigger bed. Great flat screen TV with HDMI connection so I could plug my laptop to it and watch Netflix. Everything shown on Hotels.com was exactly as described, and good reviews all true, nothing fake or deceiving here at Siam Guest House. Pictures of room on Hotel.com website all real and accurate, nothing photo-shopped like some hotels try and pull off. So happy we stayed here at this property four days total. Usually I move around to different hotels but this one turned out to be a hidden gem and as they won me over. Made my wife very happy i brought her here and defiantly would recommend to anyone looking for a less expensive place to stay but good in almost every way.

Friendly helpful staff. Spacious room with well sized fridge, very clean. Bed was comfortable. Grocery store within a 5 min walk. Many restaurants nearby. The room is not sound proofed. It wasn't noisy but I think that will depend more on the other guests. Blackout curtains would be nice.

The guest house is central to every thing .only a short walk to the beach ,shops etc .the staff are helpful and friendly..I have stayed there 3 times for a week at the Songkran festval ..The rooms a clean and the beds are good ,they dont supply drinking water but 7 eleven not far .it is set back from the main street so there is no noise from bars or traffic .I will stay there again. signed Ian .from Australia

Best price quality place.

Very nice low budget place, central location and only a few minutes from all the best attractions. Despite you pay less of $20 a day .. they make up the rooms everyday and provide clean towels and air conditioning works good.
Definitely if you are on a low budget this place is great for you.
When I arrived they accommodate me right away even they did not received yet expedia reservation.

the dark room!

bottom room, stairs built into wall outside the room so evrytime someone went up or downther was so much noise difficult to sleep. always mosquito`s in the room and was bitten 30 or 40 timesthe only view out of the window was a concrete wall 20 inches away from the pane.

It is my first time in Pattaya, i just needed a place to stay to get familiar with the place. The only thing the hotel has going for it in my opinion is the location, short walking distance from main area and my room was also quiet so I got a good night sleep. Otherwise it is very tired hotel and overpriced in my opinion, you can get so much better rooms (slightly further away from the main beach area maybe). Due to the neighborhood and the doors/security on the facilities, i did not feel safe with my belongings left in the room (no security box).

Nice place, but there's a lot work going on near by so if light sleeper it's not quite. If you go for a room don't take standard room small dark and smell of smoke, so we changed to superior room which is10 times better bigger, and more relaxing, staff are nice. Best thing is location.

Not for family half naked man in lobby every day

It is supposed to be a family place but it was not suitable for my family. Every morning a half naked man sat and smoked in the lobby. He had tatoos all over his arms, legs and bare chest. It looked frightening to my children. The cleaning girls sat on the sofa in the lobby to curl their hair, charge their phones, shave their eye pencils, apply make-up and eat and drink. I thought the lobby was for the guests but it was not.
No Thai hospitality, no greetings, no smiles, very fierce looking people, best for single men, not for children or families with children. Quite a scary place for us. No shampoo, no drinking water, basically nothing but a bed, tv, fridge and toilet which flooded now and then. Mopping with a black mop did not help make the room clean. The lobby was the cleanest part of the place. Not like the pictures on the website showing new bright clean nice rooms, actually old shabby and filthy

Sweet place to stay-The Siam guesthouse

The Siam guest house is a very well located safe and peaceful place to stay.The staff was good helpful and caring.They allowed me to keep my luggage safely when I went to Koh chang and river Kwai tour.I extended my stay for another 4 nights on returning.The Wi fi is good all over the guesthouse.Hot water is available at the reception area all round the clock .It was a happy stay.No hesitation to stay here again.

Great value......pleasant surprise.

I give Siam Guest House all 'fives' considering the value. Hidden on a cul de sac, it is the quietest place I've stayed in this busy area. Every surface appears as-new and always sparkling clean. Wonderful bed & comfortable linens. Had little interaction with any staff except to greet the housekeeper, as I had no complaints or special requests. No restaurant or bar but I could get a cup of coffee in the office at 4 a.m. & that's good enough!

Hotels all around there for same price or less which are far better. Went to Soi Honey & found a fantastic hotel with a room 3 times the size, flat screen tv etc for less. And perfect wifi

Wonderful places just far enough away from main area to be quite but close enough to work to everything you need to do and see, beach only a 200 m work though a lane way of wonderful markets and food stalls. Parking in lane way. This is a family run hotel and they do it wonderful making every guess fill like one of them.

Unconfortable and dangerous position.

There isn't hot water in the shower and the water come very slow. Shower very Unconfortable.
The mattress very hard. And internet very slow. No air condition in the room.
Every night was very dangerous to go back in the Hotel because the Hotel is just on the corner and the street is very black and narrow. A lot scooter come very fast and do not use light of the scooter. So every night was very dangerous for to go back in my Hotel.

You get what you pay for - location is the decider

The hotel room is very basic, within expectation for the price. It can be a bit noisy, depending on where your room is located, so take note for those who plan on sleeping and waking up late. Location is good, near to the most up scale shopping mall in pattaya to date, and its like approximately 150 - 200 meters walk to the beach. Conclusion is if you spend only a short time in your room, meaning you go out a lot while you are in pattaya, then you may like to give your consideration to this a hotel.

We, four friends, stayed in Siam Guest House for two nights. It is located in a small street. The street was always wet... not sure whether it was because of sporadic rains or because of over flow of the drainage. We hired a Taxi from the Don Mueang Airport (for 1,600 Baht) to this Place. It is located in a place which is closer (Walkable distance) to a famous tourist attraction - 'Ripley's Believe it or Not' and also 'Hotel Marriott'. We were given two rooms (Room #s 21 and 31) (Superior double bed room) out of which # 21 was good with good furniture and # 31 was average. When we checked with the receptionist, she said that it's a good room and no other good rooms are available to change. Both the rooms were not the same and had slight differences. The bathroom was spacious. The tissues kept in the bath room were not of good quality. There was no shower in the bathroom (of # 31) but a hand shower which replaced it. Geyser was available. We were provided two bath towels and two soaps. The room had TV, Fridge, Fan and Aircon. Though there are individual 'Safe's inside the room, it is advisabel to use the safe that is available near the reception area and it is safe to keep the Passport and other valuables in it. The Indian restaurants are available at walkable distance (5 to 10 minutes).

They advertise this as a clean place to stay. Agreed, it was clean. Here is the rest of the story...the bed felt like a plywood board covered with a sheet. The tv was unplugged and the outlet covered with tape, so I have no idea if it even worked. The refrigerator was unplugged and water beneath it, creating a potential shock hazard upon plugging it in. There was constant noise outside my door from hotel staff doing some kind of maintenance or housekeeping. The bathroom was very all with a shower that would wet down the entire bathroom...no shower curtain of any kind. No breakfast service of any kind with this hotel. Desk staff was always pleasant. The price is right but I ended up going to ChangThong hotel on Soi Diana for $3 per night more and a much nicer hotel.

It was not the best choice

The guest house though is reasonably priced leaves a bit to be desired on the service front. It is located conveniently, not too far from the beach, about 400 mtr. Good number of eating joints around, but it is located in a cramped lane so vehicles(CV's) may not be able to take you at the doorstep of the guest house. The staff is a bit uptight and unfriendly. They would insist on speaking in Thai. The rooms are very small, but are clean. So if one is travelling for leisure, there are better options available.

the guesthouse may have got the good reviews because of 2 or 3 good things: the staff is friendly and the room is clean. everything is in easy reach of the hotel. but its in a narrow shabby dead end road. the room was very disappointing. i had a superior room which was dark with no outside window.window was leading to the dark hallway letting me hear everybody who walked by and the hotel's water pump which was in front of my room. furniture very basic. no place to sit except on the bed (the room existed only of a bed and a fridge). i was told its a superior room because it has a big bed instead of a small one.

Enjoyable stay at the Siam Guest House

Stayed for a week by myself. The staff was very nice and the hotel well kept. It is very basic, being exactly what the name and price suggests: a guest house. Noise from the street was minimal (most of the time), and there are plenty of places nearby to get either a quick snack or a full meal. SIM cards, sodas and snacks can be had next door at a convenience store, and several currency exchange booths can be found nearby. Wi-Fi was free (a nice touch this price point) and worked very well. The location of the hotel is a good compromise between closeness to the beach (one block over) and shopping and ease of securing transport (taxies, tuk-tuk trucks, and motorcycles) without having to deal with the “crush” of humanity to be found the beachfront areas. Also, if you stop off for a beer (or three) at one of the beer bars along the street you don’t have far to go to get “home”. There are several places on the side street where the hotel is located that take in laundry; I suggest the one to be found at the end of the street. The woman there operates out of her home, and in addition to her rates and turn-around time being very reasonable she was extremely pleasant to deal with. Warning to travelers: if you are not able to deal with a hard mattress, or are fussy about having a modern bathroom facility (or insist on having a bath tub rather than a basic shower setup) you will want to spend more and stay somewhere else. They are clean and work but are not new or “western”.

I like this hotel. There was not good wi-fi in my room sometimes. But the location is great
