Nice good sized room in this boutique hotel which is about a three minute walk up from the popular Bangla Road. It is tucked off the main through road so you don’t have a lot of the noise of the surrounding area other than the increasingly annoying and unnecessary raw of the exhaust on the souped up scooters and motor bikes that are popular with genitally challenged young Saudi biker gangs. The Thai authorities really need to clap down on this in Phuket more than any other place in Thailand as it is running out of control.

The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and the rooftop pool had spectacular views down to the beach and of Phuket Bay. Due to the run of bad weather and the rain season extending later this year, sadly the swimming pool temperature was extremely bracing! However, the restaurant on the roof and the overall facilities were great. The staff for also very helpful and after staying in Phuket a number of times previously trying different hotels, this one is the one that I will look to return to in the future due to it’s all round service and ideal location.

There were 2 red towels for pool on thr first day i came
The other days no towels at all
The temputure of the water in the shower changes every few minutes to cold / hot / very hot
The handel of the shower was broken

Lovely hotel. In Soi close to Bangla Rd, Jungceylon and 10 minute stroll to beach. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was firm but that is my preference but may not suit all. Nice rooftop pool. No sunbeds in the shade which was a problem for me but again not for others. Overall a nice two week stay and recommended to anyone who wants to stay in centre of Patong.

Central location and amazing rooftop pool

Very central location, few mins walk to the beach, steps from the mall, Bangla Road, night market, and conveniences such as food, laundry, massage, ATMs. The street noise did not bother me. Rooftop infinity pool is the highlight, perfect for a panoramic sunset view. Plenty of loungers available and pool towel provided. Breakfast was convenient, but lacking in quality. Front desk staff were not always helpful. I appreciated the bathrobe and daily bottles of water that were provided. The air conditioning in the room was always on and not temperature controlled, which was too cold for me.

Close proximity to the major shopping centres, bangla road, patong beach and attractions. The hotel was clean however the decor was outdated. The highlights were the pool, gym and sauna - fabulous vista views of the island.

The service desk at the pool were luclustre - often times the bar was serviced by a staff member who didn't smile nor looked approachable. The reception desk was unapproachable at best and the staff looked like they have had enough - didn't wish to be there. My first impression when I got checked in wasn't impressive. The hotel has a fair bit of potential - all the best....

My partner and I stayed here for 9 nights. Perfect location 2 minute walk to Bangala. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 20 year anniversary and the staff kindly decorated our bed, I really appreciate it. Thank you for your amazing service. Pool needed some fixing, tiles all broken on the bottom of the pool..pool area needed improvement run down. No hooks in the bathroom to hang a towel or clothes. Area handy to most things.

The Gig Hotel is the best place I’ve stayed at for comfort and accessibility to everything in 14 years travelling through Asia.
The staff are extremely polite and helpful and the amenities are awesome. The rooms are a great sized 36 sq metres with big bathroom, cold aircon, fridge, hanging space, electronic safe, gigantic bed and balcony with outdoor furniture. On the rooftop there’s a Huge Crystal clear swimming pool with 360 degree views, decking area, sauna, Pool Bar, Gym, all open early-until late and 2 Very fast elevators. The location is fantastic with the beach less than 10 minutes walk. 5 minutes walk to the Big C supermarket, Jungceylon and Central Malls and 3 minutes walk to Banzaan Food night market and 2 mins to Bangla Walking Street. Surrounded by multiple vendors, restaurants, cafes, pop up markets and convenience stores. Rent a motorcycle outside the building and park in underground security parking. Very quite despite the close proximity to everything with only a little rising road noise which is common. The building is designed with a Atrium void running through the centre from the ground floor foyer to the rooftop which cools down all the open corridors like they were air conditioned. We originally stayed for 7 nights in a seaview room and then extended for another 6 nights and moved to a same sized mountain view corner room with a fantastic rap-around balcony.
Definitely 10/10 for the Gig, absolutely loved it and counting the days until our next trip.

Location is a minute walk to Bangala Road but the stay was TERRIBLE. First warning was the 2,000THB CASH deposit. And they will use it for ANYTHING!!!! My daughter had a drink spilled on her and stained the sheet just a bit. They charged us 1,400THB for a single old sheet set!!! The bathroom smelled like a sewer, the bed is like sleeping on concrete, the breakfast was not to be consumed, the pool furniture is in need of replacement, multiple people checking out were MISERABLE, and the cops came out for one family. The towels were terrible and I doubt they wash them with soap. Oh, and the best part, you cant flush toilet paper.
(Barf) and enjoy the sanitary bags and terrible smells. The lobby is nice, as well as the staff, but all other aspects were terrible. We could not wait to check out and go elsewhere. Spare yourself and stay further than Bangala Rad and enjoy the TukTuk ride!!!

Delusions of grandeur falling short by considerable degree compared to their own rating. Check-in was a joke ..... a long list of \"don't do's\" and give me passport\", \"give me immigration card\", \"give me B1,000\" deposit rattled off by three different receptions. Poor quality toilet paper with only an existing part used roll on arrival, no spare. No gel in shower dispenser, only 6 hangers to cover two guests staying 10 days. Room may be large but very limited cupboard space. Small balcony without chair & none available in room. Rowdy behaviour one evening around midnight, lasting over 30 minutes, not addressed by night security. Open plan nature of hotel encouraged mosquitos into room.
The only item that was excellent was the extra large bed which was very comfortable.

Ehhh. 3 stars. Only because of the location.

Check in was a breeze besides the screaming Chinese man about his room in the lobby. The room was an oven as we had a corner room with so many windows and all we had to cool the room was a small AC unit on the wall. We had to leave one of our cards in the power slot to eventually cool the room a day later. Interior of the room is okay but I have no idea how this place was a 4 star hotel. My shower was lukewarm the first night even at the hottest setting in the shower. I don’t know if this is because there was no more hot water or what. The only thing I am truly satisfied with this place was the location. Location was absolutely amazing. Besides that I would definitely go else where and I will never stay at this hotel again when I’m in Phuket.
