The hotel is listed as “smoke-free” but when my husband checked in he said the whole main lobby reeked of cigarettes and weed. When we got to our room, to no surprise, it also smelt so strongly of cigarettes it made us nauseous. The room appeared to be cleaned pretty well but the toilet was clogged when we were checking the room out. It was indeed pet friendly and everything other than what was stated above was okay.

Staff were really nice, got moved twice as the tv didn’t work. On the third room, I was finally able to settle in. The first room was in desperate need of updating, stains on the quilt, tub was in bad shape.

The room was dirty, the bathroom was such that I didn’t shower, and went elsewhere for other needs; staff was, at best, uninterested.

I’m not sure how a room in North Canton was so intensely loud, but there it was.

I know if you have nothing nice to say, better to say nothing, but if you’re looking for a place: do avoid.

parking was fine. The heat was set so high from previous person or hotel the room got very hot while sleeping. Did not like the pillows. Please get firmer pillows that your head doesn't sink into. Zero support. The TV never worked. It would not turn on no matter what I tried. Also got a knock on door at 11:04 am from housekeeping. There is no way that room was needed so fast that they had to clean my room at 11:00 sharp. I needed another half hour to shower and pack up. I felt rushed. Also, I have been to 4 Seasons hotels and Ritz Carltons and not had so much information required at check-in. It took way too long to get my key. I think this is my last year staying at Red Roof. Holiday Inn books up way too fast but I'm going to book super early so I don't get shut out again next year. If it's between paying 200 at Holiday or 100 at Red Roof I'd pay the extra 100 at Holiday Inn.

Check-in receptionist was very nice. However room quality is bad. I had booked a king size deluxe room. I was given an ADA King size deluxe room but after using the sink the night prior I realized the following morning before work that the sink never drained. There was no sink-hold drainage hook to pull to release the water. When I inquired at the front desk I was told to do it by myself by putting my hands in and then he stated that the ADA rooms actually don’t come with that… next I was given a temporary room to get ready in on the upper floor so I had to move everything of mine from original room to new room. This room didn’t have a microwave or fridge. Then I was told that they’ll have a room for me by 3pm so I left for work. When I returned at 5pm I was once again given a new room and it has a completely rusted our lamp, rusted out toilet flush handle that had no tension within it meaning if you didn’t adjust back to the normal placement, the toilet would keep circulating water. All in all this place needs a major upgrade and intensified caretaking and replacement of old utilities. I paid money to reserve a nice stay for myself and I was met with unnecessary hassle and frustration. Do not recommend save your money.

Parking was right in front of our room and a huge floodlight was on all night but it shone thru the moth holes in the curtains.Great front desk folks. Easy check in/out.Room smelled musty. Bed good no bugs, Loud above us all night. Music. Dropping things or jumping not sure. We were there only about 9 hours to rest. Pet friendly. Mold in bathroom toilet plugged, we bought a plunger and left it there. Not the quality we expected for $100 night. Needs alot of attention and reno too. Would not stay there again.

The housekeeper was terrible. She don’t move things sweep out corners. The floor was still dirty under the beds were horrible. The sheets were worn TV was small but overall you know I gave me a roof and they just need to learn how to clean.

Never been to this area or OH, a bit intimidating at first. Friendly staff Debbie was welcoming, when I checked in. The staff always helpful, especially using the room key card, that was a bit much at times. Also, the room was clean and bed was so warm and comforting, during the long flight to get here from South Florida. Getting around, via Uber was great as well. Super Target is across the street and many different places to eat within walking distance. Safe area, friendly folks make up for the long travel. I would definitely recommend for a long or short stay.

This is a very very dirty hotel.
I run my own short term rental business. I would never leave it this dirty. Only thing that seemed clean was the bed. Floors were filthy. Bathtub rusty and physically dirty.

The bathroom was dirty. I wouldn't even take a shower in that tub.The toilet bowl was obviously not cleaned after the previous visitor left. The lock on the front door had to be handled a certain way to work. Staff was nice, but the hotel itself is out of date and needs a complete overhaul.

When you first walk in you see a big sign “100% smoke free” and the first thing that hits you in the face is a wild strong smell of smoke- in the lobby and in the room. The room had dirty floors, wet smelly rug under the bed, stained sheets, rusty bath tub with stains all over and a dirty shower curtain, grimey toilet and filthy sink. The only thing that saved us was a can of Lysol wipes. If you plan to stay here, bring a cleaning lady. It is the pits.

This place could use some modernization. New Vinyl throughout, and a serious upgrade on the AC, one that condenses the air and wrings out the moisture; the room was entirely too humid. Laundry needs to leave towels and sheets in an extra 15 minutes. They were a shade too wet. Towels and sheets should be as dry as the Sahara Desert; these weren''t. Bed was super-comfortable, TV remote was a little janky.

It was close to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It was relatively clean. It had a fairly decent TV. Those were the good points. However, there were more bad points than good. The A/C was constantly running, except for about 30 seconds every 7-8 minutes or so. Then it would shut off for about 30 seconds and then start up again. VERY annoying, especially when trying to sleep. I had to resort to earplugs. It was also not particularly cold. The bathroom had a vent, but no fan. As a result, after a shower in such a confined space, you needed a fog lamp to see where you were going. The Wi-Fi/internet was very spotty. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it would cut out and not work for a while. The room was also very stuffy and smelled like dog. We paid extra for the microwave and refrigerator, which NEITHER worked very well. The microwave was supposed to be a rotating plate, which did not work, and was very small and weak in power. For $50.00 they could have replaced it with something better. Finally, we had problems with the cards unlocking the door...very temperamental...had to fiddle with it for 5 minutes before it would unlock the door. Just gave the impression of a cheaply run, do the minimum amount of maintenance possible hotel. Would definitely not stay here again and would NOT recommend.

We were travelling with another couple to go to a show so I reserved 2 rooms. I'd called a few days before to see about early check in. When we got there only 1 room was ready so we all piled into that room and got ready for our show. When my friends checked into their room later it was horrible. The microwave was filthy, comforter was placed in such a way to hide what appeared to be blood stains which matched the spatter on the light over the bed, bedside table was gross and sticky, dirt and crumbs all over the desk table, chair and floor. To top it off there were pubic hairs on the wall of the shower and filth in the tub. The arm chair was unusable until it was covered with a bed sheet. It was late when they got into their room (around 11:30pm). They called the front desk but nothing was done so they had to sleep in this terrible room. The next morning they showed it to the day clerk who was horrified by the condition of the room and gave them a full refund. Cudos to him!!
Our room wasn't nearly this bad but it appeared that the corners of the bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned in months and there was debris under one of the beds. I never looked in the microwave. Needless to say, we will never stay here again.

There were very loud employees and other hotel guests outside our room at 7:30 in the morning. There was used gum lodged in our headboard. The bath bottom was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and the heat/air unit smelled awful when it started up. The front desk lady was very nice. BE WARE- there is an up charge for early check in of $25 even if it is 2:50 instead of 3p. Late check out too.

We did not stay! We opened the door to the room. There was a fowl odor, toenail clippings on the carpet next to the bed and sticky food smeared on the desk. I did not attempt to look under the blankets or in the bathroom. I seen and smelt enough within 5 feet of the door.

Cleanliness was borderline acceptable, showerhead barely worked and leaked bad, sink cracked, no microwave or fridge, and stains bed sheets, and you all got me a room I couldn't use or check into till the next day and I needed it before 3pm that's y I booked it. Hotels.com are ridiculous and should compensate me for having to freeze in the snow when I pd.for a room.
