Other than the bathroom door not opening all the way and the chairs being uncomfortable everything was fine.. For breakfast the butter was frozen and when I suggested they take it out of the refrigerator they ignored me. Only had cranberry juice. No apple or orange. The room itself was clean and put-together - just some slight rusting/warping of the ceiling, but nothing that impacted function. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby is connected to multiple stores/businesses which wasn't really a problem, except that there was no hotel card required to access the elevator/upper floors, which was a slight safety concern. The other thing I didn't love was that the stairs only led outside, meaning you couldn''t use the stairs to get from one level to the other. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but for my dog that was scared of elevators it made taking her out to the bathroom a little more difficult.

Older property. Although the bathrooms were updated, the tv was very small and the air conditioner was very noisy. The night staff was good but the morning staff was not courteous, did not ask anything about my satisfaction or thank me at all. Continental breakfast was subpar and hot items lukewarm. Be sure to check expiration dates on the bread and bagels. They were 2 days expired.

Delavan is a quaint nice community making it a welcoming comfortable hometown.People were friendly, good deals at the Arcadia bar connected and even some nice bakeries.
As for the hotel could you some updates and cleaning. I have stayed at many Wyndham and this could use some improvement such as getting new mattress if it's dirty. In the room we stayed it had a big brown stain and some yellowish strains. I found this out because of the mattress cover and we had already stayed in that bed the night before. This happened on our second night, i did go down stairs and the gentleman at the front desk did switch our room to a cleaner one and we were satisfied with the new room. Also breakfast can definitely need improvement also.

Poorly kept and managed hotel, DO NOT recommend!

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. To start, we were charged an early check-in fee; something I’ve never experienced at any other hotel, including 5-star hotels. When we walked into our room, it was clear it had not been properly cleaned from the prior guest. The only thing that appeared to have been changed were the sheets.

The mini-fridge still had food in it, there was body wash left in the shower, wrappers on the ground, bugs flying around, and even the sheets had rips. The entire room and hotel itself felt old, dirty, and run-down.

When we returned from the wedding we were attending, we decided we did not feel comfortable staying overnight. We went down to the front desk to address the issue but found no one there—just a note that said the attendant had “stepped away.” When someone finally came back, the staff member, Rene, was incredibly rude and combative. Rather than apologizing, he accused us for not reporting the problems right away, in which we explained that we had a wedding to attend to. He eventually wrote down the manager’s phone number, but when we called and left a voicemail that same night, no one returned our call. It has now been two days with no response.

For the price we paid, this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the dirty, poorly maintained room, the lack of staff availability, and the rude treatment we received, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Place was run down and stains on sheets and curtains. Broken desk chair. I booked a stay here because they advertise they have a restaurant and bar attached. They have no restaurant it is closed. And the bar only stays open till 8 instead of midnight like advertised. Also the bar was kind of run down to. Spending a little time to clean the place up and fix it up and this would be a nice hotel in a nice little town. The owners obviously are letting it get run down and doing the bare minimum of repairs and cleaning. I would not stay here again.

The Lobby and Breakfast area is dark even though lit by a lot of glitzy lights which really don't go with the rest of the decor. The spaces don't have a welcoming feel. The staff treated and spoke to us very well but they sounded harsh when speaking to each other, which could be a cultural issue.

After booking and paying fully through Expedia, the hotel decided to also separately charge me for my room. Upon calling them, they’re stating that I never had a reservation and didn’t stay there… oh and the icing on the cake was the full on fight right outside my hotel room where the police had to be called. Funny how I have that on video and yet I “never stayed there”.

The motel was on the Main Street . I was surprised and parking in the back. It really needs to be cleaned and swept up by their back door. The room was clean and a nice shower. But they need to finish the remodel in the bathroom. Door is heavy and squeaks, tiles are missing in the ceiling, under the sink needs to be concealed. Otherwise is was good for one night and the price.

I have stayed at a few different Baymont by Wyndham hotels in the past with my family and dog with no issues, so I booked the hotel for my family's vacation that was a mistake. The room we got was not cleaned at all, there was still garbage in the trash can and on the floor. The toilet did not work and the employee at the front desk said to just turn on and off the water valve every time we used the toilet. The mirror in the bathroom had a huge piece missing from it posing a cut risk, and the hallway outside of my room was flooded with standing water creating a slip and fall hazard. There was trash piled up outside of the elevator for two days. We asked for towels and toilet paper for the room and did not receive any for two days so we bought our own. The hotel and room was so bad that we decided to end our family vacation early and go home.

They've updated the rooms but it's just kind of slapped together.. paint is messy , floor is uneven in the room. Beds are old & springy but do the job. Bathroom has updates but messy & shower was stained. Bathroom door closes behind you. Got there late at night , the guy working was nice.. basic breakfast, food ran out early & wasn't refilled. This hotel was very dirty. The first room they gave us was covered in vomit and had booze bottles all over. When I asked for a different room they asked if it was up to my expectations. Well it wasn’t covered in sick so yeah it was “better.” There was a smell through the whole hotel though. And our second room was covered with mold. Fairly certain there were bed bugs as well and even the second room not fully sure it was actually cleaned as there were crumbs on the bed side table.

At first site I knew there probably will be problems.
I had go down to the front desk and report we had No remote for tv. Part of the ceiling in our room was missing, thick dust on the intake vent.
The bed was comfortable the sheets were clean. The rug was stained and my goodness the cloth chair was disgusting!! The price was fair. You park behind building and it was pretty sketchy.
I did the check in online like they asked, when I went in it still took over 10 15 minutes.
We were waiting for the elevator and it finally ca.e we couldn't ride because the house keeping lady said there was no room!! So we took the stairs the stair well was dirtyand it drops you outside the building,so you have to go in the front to get to where your car is parked.

Took over 45 minutes to get a room, then when the employee finally came, had a room with a small tv and no remote. Solution was to give me an even smaller room with a remote. eventually got same room with operational tv and an actual ceiling. initial room was missing ceiling tiles. Horrible experience and could not get a hold of anybody during the process. This is why I stay in Hilton or Hyatt hotels and not wyndham. Customer Service was also a joke. Sent me to a message of call during business hours while I was trying to check in for 45 minutes. Refund for all of the issues...not even in question. Never staying at this hotel chain again.

The internet connection was horrible. I quit trying and wound up using my moble phone hotspot. There was no ice available other than in the bar. There was no coffee or juice for the breakfast. Not even the toaster worked well. The person who checked us in was very friendly. What did work well was the entry keycards for the room.

It was an old Hotel on the main street. The owners appear to be updating the rooms but our bathroom specifically either had a sloppy update or it's still needing to be completed. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure we experienced the \"update\".

The bathroom bowl took up the entire 'counter'; the shower door opens into the shower and you have to be inside the shower to turn the faucet. This caused water to spray on the floor.

The shower door should be a slider. As it is, you can't turn on the water with out getting all the way into the show and being under the cold water.

Had to spend 30 minutes after arriving at 10:30 pm cleaning the bathroom myself to remove all the hair and dirt from the bathroom and shower. Manager was supposed to contact me to discuss but never did. Staff also tried to enter my room with a key card after checking in, and the cause of the issue was that one of the staff incorrectly noted the room I was checked into so they wanted to “confirm I was in that room”. Hotel was unclean, manager never followed up to discuss dissatisfaction. Overall extremely poor experience.

Very upset with hotel

We checked in and went to our room. The hallway and our room reeked of heavy perfumes and cleaning chemicals. My wife suffers from Asthma and allergies . If she would have stayed she would have been in the hospital. We left the hotel. They didn't offer refund or other compensation. I assure you we will never book a Baymont Wyndham again. Very sad experience I guess it's better to eat money than have my wife in the hospital.

TL:dr – This hotel has bed bugs, and I’m having to fight them to refund my full 2-night stay, even though I was only in the room less than one hour.

Expedia won't refund me without the approval of the hotel. I have photos and videos of the overall condition of my room, which was already abysmal - the reviews claiming renovations are either lies or this room was left off the list.

I dropped off my luggage earlier in the evening and left after 10 minutes. Didn't get back until 11:30, was in bed by 11:55. Within 3 minutes, a bed bug was crawling on the comforter. I got up, packed up to leave, took a video on my way out and another bed bug was crawling on the pillow I had just been laying on. I told the front desk on my way out, they weren't surprised, referenced \"the last time this happened\" and told me to contact Expedia and the manager. This morning I was notified by Expedia the hotel refused my request for a refund for the two nights, even though I was only in the room less than an hour total.

Went up to that area to visit a friend of mine. I thought I had booked at another motel, but booked This one by mistake. It wasn’t terrible, fairly well dated, dark and somewhat creepy looking on the outside. The room was fairly comfortable, but dated had some modern updates in the bathroom.

Left the hotel during the night at 315am cause of bedbugs on sheets and my girlfriend was bitten several times on her arms and back. Person working in lobby said he would ck out the room #202 and I called back 40 mins after we advised the hotel worker & he hadn't ck out the king bedroom yet for bedbugs that were huge. I even brought one I had smashed in a napkin to the ck-out front desk to show him. We were in shock that they didnt offer us a refund or even try to contact us regarding this terrible experience.

Cleanliness is the key to happiness. Wiped down every service when you turn when you clean up a room that includes any of the stray hairs and any left bandages under the bed that includes you might have to check that vacuum everything wipe everything down I shouldn’t be finding dust Band-Aids, hair anywhere in my room. I work in the hospital so you know I like it clean.

For an inexpensive stay, the bed was fine. Sheets were clean and surfaces wiped down. Room had no light bulbs in fixture, so first attempt at lighting up our room upon a 9pm arrival proved to be a bit challenging. Door was sticky and layout of room and bathroom was like they used a utility closet as a guest room. Walls were fresh painted which was nice but a paint scraper would have gone a long way to clean up frames, bathroom floors, shower, and vanity. No remote in the room for the TV. Overall the hotel lobby and everything was a bit rough.

Hotel condition was about what we expected for the price. We were traveling with a small dog and this hotel was far more reasonable ($20/night) that other hotels we considered. There is a public part directly across the street which was very convenient for dog walks.
Our main complaint was a bag of smelly trash left in the corridor by housekeeping. We brought it to the attention of the management in the early evening and it had not been removed by check-out.
TV interface was virtually unusable.
