I booked through Expedia for this stay. Expedia did not submitt the room I requested. I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room and was told I couldn't change. The hotel was far from being full. I stay at this location a few times a year. Will rethink staying here again.

This was the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. Everything about it was exceptional: the staff friendliness and courtesy, the cleanliness and comfort of the room, the pool/hot tub upkeep, the peace and quiet. Plus the breakfast was perfect: many food options, all tasted great, very clean eating area.

Everything was great easy check in staff was friendly. The room was nice great size. Loved the breakfast options. Pool needs a little cleaning the hot tub also needed cleaning. We turned it on and a lot of bubbles started coming out! Not sure if something was added to the water but then it made us cough from an strong scent it had. Not sure what it was but we got out right away. Overall good just that minor inconvenience with the pool area

The hotel lobby and especially my room had an overpowering smell of a strong cleaning product, barely masking the smell of dirty carpets. The clerk refused to acknowledge a problem and refused to give me my money back (I’d already paid through Expedia). I was in the room for all of five minutes—long enough to call and find a neighboring hotel.

I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never encountered such a smell like this. I later spoke to the manager, who also refused a refund.

At the neighboring hotel I was told that this is a recurring problem. But I can only speak to my experience and say that I’ll never stay at another AmericInn and urge people to avoid this property.

This was a nice quiet hotel it seemed a little out dated but it was nice. For the amount I spent I was disappointed in how worn down things were. The pull out couch you couldn't feel anything but springs I felt so bad for my kids. The tv choices were horrible only a couple kids channels and the one just played SpongeBob constantly.

The Jacuzzi tub was perfect in our room. My son enjoyed the pool he liked that it was pretty big so he could have space to swim.

The breakfast was ok options are limited on fresh items but the donuts were delicious. Food was the exact same options Saturday and Sunday which was a little disappointing.

It was nice how close to the fairgrounds we were in driving distance. The cleaning crew could have done better as there were empty water bottles and fake petals or something under the pull out couch.

I was very happy with the staff but staying there for work and long hours I really did not want hair all around the top part of bath countertop, nor bring down comforter because blood splatter on it. Then when I get in there is blood spots on the sheets and had to bring down , get new one and put one. After long day work last I want to deal with.

The breakfast was very disappointing. Cold eggs and sausages every day. They filled the hot trays and never touched them until breakfast was over. Every other hotel I've stayed at changed breakfast foods daily. For 23 years I traveled for work. This hotel needs to put some effort towards breakfast, your just don't offer it. Worst hot breakfast hotel I've ever stayed at. It is sad that this is what I will remember about my stay. The day shift lady running the front desk was outstanding. The room was great and pretty clean overall.

Convenient, Quiet, and Comfortable

This was a convenient location to take a long weekend and do some hiking in the area. The free breakfast was very nice (only wished there would've been some hot sauce) and there were plenty of nearby options for dinner. The hot tub and pool were great for relaxing at the end of the day. The hotel was peaceful at night and we got a decent amount of sleep. The $100 deposit was a bit irritating, but not entirely unexpected, and our only difficulty was that our bathroom door was a bit broken and difficult to close. Nothing we couldn't live with for two nights.

We had ants in our room upon arrival. Let the desk know, they came to look and said it was because there was food on the floor. (Blaming us) Explained yes, but the food was not from us and there still shouldn’t be ants, regardless. Asked them if we can move rooms, they had to check with mgmt. came back with a broom and can of raid. Cleaned up ants, put them IN OUR GARBAGE, then soaked the area with raid while we watched. I said “Is this safe?” He said “Yes, it’s lavender scented” Ended up taking my kids (who have health issues, including myself) and opening the windows and walking around for a half hour while it aired out. It still smelled horrible when we returned. That was their only resolution.

I love going to this hotel for my mini getaways. My last visit was for my birthday. The staff was very nice as always. There was construction going on but it did not bother us at all!

We really enjoyed our three day-two night stay here. The staff was super friendly and the hotel was very clean! The breakfast was hot and delicious. It was convienently located near a highway exit and close by a larger tourist area so the price was half of what it would have cost if we had stayed in the town just 15 minutes further south. We definitely hope to stay here again.

One pillowcase had a stain which I replaced. There was some mold on the grout in the shower and under the handrail. The inside of the bathroom door had a large crack in it. It appeared the door had been cheaply repaired before by placing a thin piece of panel over the entire side of the door. There appeared to be dirt build up (or mold) in the chalking along the floor of the bathroom. A light was burnt out over the vanity.

The hotel was clean and staff was pleasant. We had a late check in which was easy. We didn't have a chance to use the pool but it looked clean and decent. The bathroom in the room is quite small and there are no sofas in the double queen rooms so it's 'cozy'. Hotel was clean, linens were nice and crisp and pillows were very full and seemed newer. Comfortable beds and a decent spread for breakfast choices. Great for a quick stay.

We were given a handicapped accessible room which was fine but the bathroom had so little space for putting any items on a counter and the shower sprayed water everywhere on the bathroom floor. Also we could hear the tv in the next room way too loud. Very little soundproofing in this hotel.
