Outside looks a bit rough, but rooms, at least my room, was very clean and cool. Cathedral cedar ceilings, has a great old Wisconsin look. New carpet and tile in bathrooms. Very comfortable. Staff very nice, English not great, had a bit of issues talking with them, but they were helpful. Would recommend and will stay again next year when I come back up here.

Everything was absolutely great until bath time and then had to wash ants out of tub every time. It was the flying kind so it could just be the time of year. Other than that it was great! Location, cozy, scenery, it has it all. I would definitely recommend.

We’re checking in is was dirty and filthy. It looked like an old Motel not taking care of the plumbing. The shower backed up and the toilet backed up. They’re dirty sheets and pillows, and nobody bothered to come and change out the towels. I wouldn’t stay there no more for sure.

There were updated rooms, however, the door wasn't flush with the threshhold. You could see light from outside. We put towels in the crack. The crack is large enough that critters could probably get in...snakes, mice etc.

Great small motel in Elkhorn Wisconsin. The exterior was clean and well maintained. The rooms were updated and clean. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable. It was obvious the owners take well care of this motel. I will definitely stay again the next time I visit Elkhorn.

This place is a joke I do not recommend anybody staying here. They do not clean the rooms you have to argue to get clean towels and the staff are extremely rude. I asked for clean sheets on the bed as I stayed here for 2 weeks and they told me that they don't give out clean sheets until the person checks out. I had to clean and vacuum my room myself the whole time I was there. I had to argue to get toilet paper. And then they tried to tell me my children were not allowed to be there.

We enjoyed the stay. Road construction makes it difficult to get to. I’m sure they’re struggling a bit. We like the roadside motels. The beds were not comfy… place seemed clean for the most part. We did have one big concern and addressed it with front desk. Overall, I’d say it was worth a nights rest.

This place was very dicey. The rooms smelt of Moth Balls. Carpet and furniture has not been updated since the 70s. The room were small and looked like they haven't seen the light of day in decades. Staff was barely there and whoever was there couldn't understand what I was saying to them. Would never stay here again. The only reason I stayed is because of the concert I was going to at alpine

The bed was so uncomfortable. I felt the springs in my back all night. There was no security lock dead bolt, so I felt like an intruder was going to burst in at any second. I also felt like the entire room had mold, which wrecked my sinuses. I was freezing all night, because the AC worked well, so that was a positive. I went after a concert at Alpine. All roads were blocked from venue to the hotel, so people had to double back to get to the hotel. Overall clean, save a couple hairs by the tub that weren't mine. I wore flip flops. I felt it was not worth what I paid for the room.

Folks, if you’re looking to head up to Lake Geneva area for a concert or to go skiing or just to get away from Chicago for a while, this is the place to stay. You can’t beat the price. It’s quiet, clean, and in a safe area, the owner and his family take great care and are extremely amiable.

1. No pool, but had a sign where you check-in about the pool area.
2. Feet stuck to carpet when shoes were taken off.
3. Had a strong chemical cleaning smell when we walked in the room
4. Bathroom tub bottom looked like it had mildew growing on the anti-slip tape pieces that were left in the tub.
5. When we came down & told them politely we didn’t feel safe staying the night or room was clean. The man told us someone spilled coffee in the room and they tried to clean it up so maybe that was the smell and wetness in the carpet. We asked for our money back and was told no. When we walked out, he threw the key behind the area he was standing.
6. DONT STAY HERE - lost $200 and didn’t even end up staying the night in town. Drove home.

Good night's sleep. Slight Sulphur smell in the water - not harmful, but not \"inviting\" either. Inadequate temperature consistency in shower - it vacillated between a bit too cool and a tad hotter than desired. Friendly staff at check-in. No staff was available at check out.

Crossroads is the best kept secret in Wisconsin. You don’t have to stay in Lake Geneva in those overprice hotels stay a few miles out enjoy clean and comfortable motel. I shouldn’t be saying this because I’d like to keep this place all to myself. It’s wonderful! Five stars

We were frustrated initially when we discovered the ice machine was not functional, then finding the remote would not work with the TV. After manually turning on the TV, we were eventually able to navigate channels. In each case, the manager was most responsive & accommodating, going out for ice, & explaining the difficult transition to smart TVs with problems that entailed. We’ve stayed here many times & will certainly return... just frustrating after a long day to have the annoyance of expected & assumed services unavailable.

Secret gem!

At first glance Crossroads appeared to be an older, single story, no frills, drive up to your door kinda place. I was looking for a more budget friendly stay so I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my room and found a VERY clean and spacious room (two queens, a table and chairs, tv, fridge, microwave, mini closet, soft lounge type chair, nightstand) No, there were no plugs in the bathroom (we ladies like a mirror to blow dry and curl our hair, but I made it work), two of the pillows were too thick (found the two on the other bed were perfect) and yes, it was older, but it was comfortable and quiet. And CLEAN! The staff member that checked me in was kind, welcoming, and helpful when I asked about local restaurants. I’ve paid more for much worse. I’ll definitely come back if in the area!

Great place to stay!

I enjoy getting away for brief weekends from Chicago. This motel was extremely clean everything worked perfectly you can tell that the owner put a lot of time effort and money into the upkeep. The place was spotless. This is a great little motel to stay at if you’re planning on a weekend in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. The owner is extremely accommodating and friendly. I will be back next month for a short little Christmas trip!

My room had two entrances, one off the parking area, and one from the hall.
The heat control on the wall did not work. If it has central controls, it was not turned on. It has a separate wall A/C. It was bearable so I did not report it. The property is remote and quiet. But restaurants are 2 miles away.

We spent a night at this small motel while visiting Geneva Lake. It was a short drive away and the price was much more reasonable than anything near Geneva. The room was clean and comfortable and we didn't have any issues. Some of the neighbors were making some noise, but that didn't have anything to do with the hotel. There isn't much to do in the immediate hotel location but it is close to Elkhorn where there are plenty of restaurants and shopping.

The room was clean & bathroom & been redone but there were no bars to help get out of the tub which was difficult for me with arthritis. There were no outlets in the bathroom where I could plug in my hair dryer. I wasn’t able to plug in my dryer as the plug in was too close to the mirror. There were very few plugins in the rest of room, a power strip with only one plug left to plug anything in, and one plug-in on two lamps.
There was no breakfast offered and it was obvious they were redoing the outside of hotel. For what we paid & what they had available we were not pleased. We would not recommend it to anyone at this time!

This is an absolutely beautiful facility; unfortunately I had to move rooms three times due to noise. I finally got settled in and relaxed in my third room, when to my shock a stranger unlocked the deadbolt and walked straight into my room! The management had \"forgotten\" which room I was in, and given the key to a new guest. As a woman traveling alone, this was unacceptable!

The motel was cute and cozy. Staff was wonderful. Rooms were very clean. Two things however... They are very strict on their checkout times. Just a little past the check out time and they are charging you even though you gave ample notice of running late also with it being quite empty it wasnt like they were at max capacity and needing the room asap. Also with the motel being quite empty they put extremly noisy neighbors in the room next to me. Both kids and the parent was screaming at each other and banging. At 3am I had enough and called the front desk. The clerk came down and had a talk with them. The silence lasted till about 5am and they started up again. Hince the late check out as i was extremely tired of off and on sleep. Horrible sleeping conditions. Even that dad apologized as i was leaving in saying he told the clerk at check in to put them away from anyone because his kids are trouble. Yet the clerk refused aparently AND put them next to me. Clean room but will not be back!

The Crossroads Motel is located on a large, beautiful, well-kept lot right outside the town of Elkhorn. We were there for a dog show, and stayed with two dogs. There was plenty of green space available for nice walks. I LOVED the mid-century modern architecture of the building, and the soaring ceilings of the room. While some may feel the motel is dated, I absolutely adored the retro vibe. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and had a refrigerator and microwave, which was handy. The wifi service was free and fast. There was a flat screen TV with Direct TV service and HBO. While there were no eating options within walking distance, there was certainly a variety of food options, including fast food, pizza, coffee shops, and a yummy bakery within close driving distance.
