Overcharged by $20 at the Mountain Top restruant. Spoke to 4 different staff members before it would finally be fixed. The tables were all sticky/dirty. Had stink bug crawling on table.

The buffet in the lobby, what a nightmare. Stood in a long line, even though we had a reservation. Should have a seperate line since all they did was seat people without one and scramble to push tables together. We watched as 4 different people attempted to clean up a table. It was never washed of the crumbs. One person would adjust mats another would then go readjust the mats and put 2 glasses down at a 4 spot table. Was comical. Large hair on top of bacon, I found an employee and notified them, immediately then took away. Should have self serve for drinks so staff can focus on cleaning/quick turnover if the buffet is this popular.

The room itself was nice, updated. No complaints there!

There were stink bugs in our living room. The villa was very dry and made it hard to sleep. The hostess at the Grand Cafe sat 3 other parties before us and forgot that she told us she’ll get our table ready despite having a reservation. Lastly the food concession area by the ski area is a mess. I tried to order a pizza for my son and the girl taking my order told me it’s a mess back there and no one wants to make pizza right now. For a 4 star hotel,
I was really disappointed in the service. I know they were very busy but there needs to be better service if they’re going to charge so
much!

room was clean, large and comfortable. Was loud, you could hear everything in the hallway as well as our neighbors in the new room. The hotel property was nice overall, the grounds were pretty too. We walked the golf course. What I didn't really enjoy was the signature scent that is spread throughout the hotel through the ventilation system. It was like being close to somebody wearing too much cologne. It took me a day to realize its not some guy that bathed in his cologne. That being said I enjoy staying at the Grand Geneva and will probably stay again. I prefer it to the Abbey Resort.

Love staying at this hotel for my birthday!! This was our 3rd time staying here!! We also did ski that day at the Mountain top and it was nearby 5mins drive to our room!! The only concern is Room 6307 the shower drainage doesn’t drain well !!

Clean bed linens are the most basic expectation for any hotel, especially at this price point. Unfortunately, we checked in to stained sheets and had to wait more than an hour for replacements. This significantly affected our stay and our confidence in the hotel’s housekeeping standards.

We go a few times a year. I do really enjoy this place. It has an excellent vibe and the lounge is always fun. We did the Santa brunch and we did the Christmas igloo. Also, we did the grand Lodge Vip. But the food was not very good at all. I did not eat at the restaurant this time so I can’t speak on the chophouse or the Italian place. We did have brunch with Santa and then we did have the buffet at the Geneva lounge restaurant by the bar and that was decent. The staff is always great. We did have a good time. It would just be nice if the food was better.

We came on 11/29 and slid on the road into the resort which is very hilly and was not paved recently at all at 3:45 pm. When I told the check-in staff that I was worried our tire maybe flat in the am they didn’t apologize or offer any help without me specifically asking if they could help if we needed assistance- it was a full blown storm! We were disappointed that this year we did not receive chocolates or champagne upon arrival- we stayed Thanksgiving weekend last year and got both! Our room was much smaller, yet more expensive and had a patio instead of a balcony. Little things like 4 guests, but we were given 2 washcloths only and had to call wasted time. When you pay over 250 dollars for one night you expect outstanding service. The decorations were beautiful as usual, and are a huge draw for us

We enjoyed the spa and athletic facility. The outdoor pool is very nice. We had to use the indoor pool due to weather and it is nice however, very dated overall.
The restaurant food was good but, the overall service was bad. We had to wait a long time for a wait staff to notice us and take our order (2 different times during our stay). The front desk staff and adventure center did not know much about the property amenity details such as if bikes were available to rent. People working the desks should know all the details of the resort when it comes to activity inquiries.

It is a pricey place to be as dated as it is in the main areas. The spa rendered good services but was very run down in the facility. We ordered champagne and strawberries ahead of time and there was no note of it. The grounds are stunning but the infrastructure could use some sprucing up.

The property was Absolutely Gorgeous,.. The pool was small given the size, .. Really cramped, .. Food at the Chophouse was barely good, .. 1st day, 2nd day we had takeout and the order was completely wrong the steak was beyond well-done when we asked for medium-rare, they gave us the wrong sides, and there was a strong vinegar taste! Terrible food -I called the hotel -They took my name, address, and phone number but two days have passed and I haven't heard anything yet, ...???.. The room we thought we reserved wasn't at all as described, .. We found ourselves over-Looking the top of there roof - no water view! I initially was impressed at check-in with acknowledgment of my wife's birthday but that's kinda where it ended! 3 out of 10 Stars

Grand Geneva staff is absolutely wonderful!

We absolutely LOVED this place! Amazing and attentive staff, beautiful views from the awesome pool, food everywhere was delicious (especially the Geneva Chophouse), rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel special. Kaitlin at the reception desk checked us in and she was so friendly and helpful. Greg at the pool bar was also wonderful. Brian was our waiter at the Chophouse and he was very personable and answered all of our questions. The piano entertainment each evening in the lobby was great, particularly the man who played Thursday evening 8/7 - I didn’t get his name but he was phenomenal! When we had a small problem with our key, Brandon from security came to help us and for our trouble he even gave us vouchers for free drinks and ice cream. From the moment we stepped into the lobby and were greeted with complimentary champagne, to the time we sadly stepped out of the hotel to go home, we enjoyed every minute of our time at Grand Geneva Resort!

We did not get an upper room and away from noise, as requested, at all. Very noisy 2nd floor, so they moved us. Since we paid for lake side, we had to take the bottom level. It was musty smelling and everything was wet, from the low ground level and near a cement wall on the other side. Also, not their fault, wet outside, so lots of bug bites from being outside on the \"patio\" - for the fireworks (which were amazing)

Really nice resort. Had a great stay. Traveled with our 2 kids who loved the indoor and outdoor pool. Great resort. Beautiful golf course and views. Rooms were very nice and clean. Steak house was ok, not a bad option if you don’t want to leave the resort. 10 min from the downtown area. Will definitely come back. Fireworks every Sunday in the summer which was very nice. Overall loved staying here and will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of restaurants and amenities. The grounds were very pretty. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The sparkling wine upon arrival was a nice touch. I have only one critique - the hallways are confusing, and there are lots of stairs. There are elevators at the ends of the halls, but they are confusing too. Overall, we really liked the hotel, now that we understand the layout. We will stay there again.

Stop, Go To The Osthoff

We chose to celebrate our 30th birthday here, and I wanted to love this place but the experience just wasn't great.

Check-in was at 4p. I called in the morning to see if we could request an early check-in, they declined, and said I could only make the request once I got there. We arrived about 2:30p, asked again, they said that our villa would be ready in 30 minutes and that I would receive a text. The worker confirmed my number by reading it to me. By 4:45p, I still hadn't received anything and had called the desk twice. They said they were just behind. Our dinner reservation was at 6p, and nobody was ready at this point, so we were getting nervous. I called again, and the worker, Janet, said that they never had my phone number because of hotels.com; which isn't correct because the previous worker read my information to me at check-in.

Everything was spread out and scattered. Workers looked panicked but were handing out champagne to keep people calm. The resort is also super spread out for it being freezing outside.

I much prefer the Osthoff Resort a bit north and would recommend that any day over this. The customer service from the front desk was rude and blamed me for their problems, the layout of the villa was backwards with rooms downstairs and the kitchen/living room upstairs, the TV was basic cable vs. smart TV options. I could go on. I would expect way better than all of the above issues for $1,100+ a night that was paid.

The property is beautiful and has a lot to offer in the way of food, entertainment and activities; however, they need to work on their housekeeping and general cleanliness in the rooms and bathrooms. It is a large property and perhaps they need more staff but for the price you pay, you shouldn't see things like hair on the bed, towels, water marks on glasses, dust and hair on the furniture, empty shower gel in the bathroom, etc.

NOT A RESORT and SPA!!

This is not a Resort and Spa. I would consider this Wisconsin Dells Southeast. Chilren running around and sitting at both bars, unsupervised kids given rooms of their own making noise until Midnight until we finally (after multiple attemps) got security to visit the room. This was going on from 7pm until midnight. Terrible managment. Our complain went no where, they will tell you it's not their problem. If you are couple looking for a quiet weekend, STAY AWAY!! the Fairfield down the block would have been much better!!!!

Love the convenience, hate the crowds and that a once adult, romantic, upscale resort now it's overrun with young children allowed to run amuck in all areas, even the bars. No dress code for your restaurants leashes them feeling like the texas roadhouse, not fine dining. The standards are so low for dress and behavior that a, once fine resort, not feels declasse

Despite how busy it was in the lobby, check-in was easy. We came in winter, so skiing was a must. The restaurants are quite family friendly, and they have plenty of amenities. Id recommend again and suggest staying 2-3 nights instead of 1, as there isnt enough time to check out everything in a day.

The room was nice. We went at 5:00 pm to eat and there was absolutely no space to eat and we were told they were all booked up. The bar area was packed and there service was very slow and the staff at the bar were rude. The rest of the staff was wonderful. 2 hours after waiting we actually left to eat. It was very cold out and we didnt realize we had to walk across parking lots onto a different parking lot to the spa.

The updates to the rooms and hallways are just beautiful! All staff, from check in to the Geneva Club, were very helpful and provided great customer service. Shout out to Bernie, Daisey and Margo at the Geneva Club - they are a great, fun group of gals! Only two minor complaints - the bathrooms in the indoor pool area desperately need remodeling and the kids need to be kept out of the hot tub - the latter is really up to their darn parents. And at the Chophouse please serve standard bread at the dinner table. The combination of sourdough and caraway seed is absolutely offputting.
