The people next-door had a dog and was continually scratching at the door throughout the night while the other guests were gone, and then they were what sounded like banging on the walls or jumping on the bed. I had requested to change rooms, however, was told they would just notify the other guests to keep it down.

The tile was coming off the floor in the bathroom. The door wood was split was just a very unsightly room, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This is a copy of the e-mail I sent the property:

I am writing regarding all of the problems we had with our stay. I'm sure you were informed regarding housekeeping issues upon check-in. There was food in different parts of the room (as if no vacuuming was done), hair in both tubs (regular, and jetted), on toilet lid, towels were tossed, just thrown, everything very unorganized. Also, dogs barking in 228, right across the hall, late into the evening. Then, we noticed how extremely cold it was in our room upon check-in. We couldn't figure out where the cold was coming from...it wasn't until the next day, my husband figured out the window had been left open, it was absolutely freezing, no matter how high we turned on the heat.

We checked in on 12/31, and they had to re-do our room on 01/01, and we had to leave the room in order for that to happen, when we just wanted to relax.

On the evening of 01/01, we went to use the jetted tub for the 1st time, and it was not working. We were not able to use it until the night of 01/02, finally, once they sent maintenance to fix it.

On 01/03, we were awakened at 9:45 a.m. to heavy pounding , hammering right over our heads. I called the front desk, and Jasmine didn't know what I was talking about. After asking twice she finally said there are renovations going on on the 3rd floor.

We were never notified we should expect any of that, and on a Saturday for them to be working, and that early??? My husband had an earache, and I had a heada

There was also no water available, unless water was put out which was only during certain times, or you can purchase water which requires front desk staff to be present. They put us in a different room than we requested. They did correct the mistake. However the drain plug for the \"In room hot tub\" was not working and never got fixed. I am hoping that they correct the error and give us a room that was less expensive than we paid for as we did not get what we asked for. That being said, pool was great, staff was great, food ok.

The Good (Sort Of)

The staff was genuinely friendly, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. Breakfast was decent—nothing amazing, but you got your waffles and they had biscuits and gravy with sausage in a crockpot.

The Dealbreakers
Now for the bad stuff. The bed in my room was rock-solid hard. Even with a mattress topper.. I spent the whole night tossing and turning because my body actually hurt—like I was sleeping on the floor. My left hip was sore for days.

The biggest issue, though, was the cleanliness. I know a stray hair happens, but there were so many hairs in the shower that it was just gross. Then, when I went looking for a stray sock, I found a (thankfully unused) sanitary pad under the sink. It just made me so uncomfortable. You know people stay in the room before you, but you don't want that much evidence!

To make matters worse, my morning shower was a bust. I got zero hot water—only warm. Paying well over $200 a night, I expect three basic things: a comfortable sleep, a clean room, and a hot shower. I didn't get any of them.

Final Verdict
We won't be back, and I definitely won't be recommending this to our traveling soccer team.

It was nice they had a heated pool and hot tub too, even though we didn't get a chance to use them. Gym was small, but we did use the treadmill and elliptical. Breakfast was good. Hot and cold food. We were there two nights and the 2 mornings we had breakfast they did change one item to give more of a selection. Would stay here again.

Love staying here!
They always have the cutest decorations for the holidays. ( We had to ask who does them so kudos to the manager). The whole lobby area makes it feel like a second home, with all the seating and the fireplace and tv in the lobby, and the firepit with the aiderondek chairs to enjoy outside, means your not just limited to your room.
It's the little things that make the difference. The iced lemon water, coffee and tea available.
Great staff especially Sarah at the front desk.

Staff super friendly, lobby decorated nice and very clean. Parking easy. Room was nice but definitely not cleaned well. Probably my fault they let me check in early. So there was open bar of soap by hot tub and the towels were not replenished. I didn’t complain, I bring my own Clorox wipes anyhow. Overall nice place. They had a nice little breakfast and coffee all day.

The fire alarm going off early in the morning was definitely an unpleasant surprise, but that might not have been the fault of the hotel. More than anything, I found this hotel extremely overpriced for the quality of the rooms. This hotel has seen better days, was old, mid-repair, and not worth the price I paid. I won't be recommending it to others.
