The pool was “under construction “. No mention of this in any of the online sites or Marriott reservations. The only reason I chose this hotel was for the indoor pool as it was a gift to my grandchildren. The fact that it was marketed as an amenity then not even available is unacceptable. Marriott knew the pool was not ready yet let people think they had a functioning pool. There were others in the area. We’ve used Suites to Home before with a lot of satisfaction. Now the Marriott owning so many different brands has really lowered their reputation and this is a prime example. The staff might as well be Motel 6. Totally disappointed and don’t have the trust in the fact that it’s owned by Marriott. My expectation is that there is some significant accountability on behalf of Residence Inn by Marriott.

Overall, the property met the general standards of a Residence Inn. However, I feel my room was forgotten if it was not used often by housekeeping. The top of the refrigerator had layers of dust, and there were many dead bugs and cobwebs around the room. Attention to the details of spots found on the walls is a matter requiring attention.

The hotel was pet friendly but I was charged an extra 100.00 for my dog. We only slept there and brought our dog with us to a party all day. I feel they should maybe ask for a deposit in case the dogs do damage but not charge that much extra for no reason. We have a 15lb hypoallergenic dog so he doesn’t shed and cause no extra clean up for the staff.

Great rooms. Beautiful and clean. Not sure if outside where there’s a fire pit is a public space, but some people took over that section the entire time so no one could use it all day and night. Then they trashed it so it looked horrible when they finally left the next morning. All white people and their kids. Disrespectful. Staff very nice. Pool warm. Breakfast could be better. Not a lot of choices and no microwave to heat food up. So we had to eat in room. Lobby area is beautiful.

Room was set very home like. Stainless steel appliances. Toaster too! Dishes were home like. During covid so services were limited. Facility clean most importantly. The shower was huge but the shower head was sucky, not comfortable. Staff I did encounter were nice. Bed is firm, but that’s all about preferences. I would definitely go again. Peaceful.

The property is situated in a new construction zone so there isn’t much around the building although it’s a ten minute drive from the farmers market. In another direction you’ll find typical shopping centers with Whole Foods and Walmart. In a half hour, you’ll be at Longwood Gardens. The homes near the hotel are huge and immaculate. The hotel is 15 minutes from Cheyney University. If you like a quiet mountain town with plenty of diversity and nice people, this is a great spot.

I have to say this. I honestly never comment negatively. But my special needs son had his heart set on using the pool. I was promised the we could sign up for a time slot. When we got there and checked in, none were available.

We were placed in a handicap room in which the shower was broken and they refused to move us. Thankfully the man called from maintenance was incredible and helped us so much. He tried to get us a new room and then said he would fix the whole thing as soon as I had to leave for a family gathering. The room needed more cleaning and we had to ask for more than 3 towels and pillows for the pullout several times. The room is made for at least 4 people and didn’t have that many towels. Not a great experience.

I usually go to the one in Wilmington,De. I like this one a lil better, it has a pool and basketball court. It’s more to do at the hotel that’s what I like the most. If check in could be a hour or so earlier that would be the best!

A new/clean hotel with friendly employees and good rooms. While it may seem a little remote, that is definitely not the case. There is food and shopping within a 10 minute car ride. Definitely worth the stay.

I would like to preface by stating that I understand policies are created and set in place for good reason, most of the time.
I reserved a room well in advance in lieu of a friends wedding i was attending in the area. Due to a family members medical emergency where I am now assuming the role as caregiver, I needed to cancel all of my reservations for this trip. This was 30 hours prior to all of my reserved check-ins/ rentals, etc. I reached out to the airline and was refunded in full. I reached out to the car rental company and was refunded in full. I went as far as to offer all companies documentation from the doctor to vet my emergency situation. The airline and car rental company declined and said they understood my situation and will accommodate as to \"not create more stress\" for me and my family... their words.
I reached out to the hotel, disclosed my situation and was told they have a strict policy of 48 hours advance notice for cancellations and since my emergency did not fit their policy in the allotted amount of time, they could not help me. I asked to speak to a manager and was forwarded to the general managers answering machine. I left a message, explaining my situation and that i can provide documentation... I have not received a call or email back, except for an email stating that I will not be afforded a refund due to their policy.
This location has tarnished the Marriot company as a whole in my eyes. Empathy, compassion and understanding is all I wanted.
