The best part about this place was the building in the space. The building was beautiful and the people were also excellent. We had a great friendly service. I don’t think it’s in the best location, though as the surrounding neighbourhood seemed a little bit rough. The breakfast had a nice variety.

A special thanks to Andreas, Carolina, Sarah in the restaurant and all the front counter and restaurant staff. We are seniors, and we really felt our stay in Lisbon would be made safe with the advocacy of the Hotel staff. When travelling we always feel relieved knowing that if something medical or otherwise happens to us, Hotel staff would assist us. Thank you 1908 Lisboa Hotel!

This hotel completely exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend. The staff is so helpful and in the business of SERVICE. The food was so so good! We had both the breakfast and from the dinner menu, nothing disappointed. When we arrived they left two pasteis de nata and finja as a welcome gift. The bed/mattress was so good and comfortable. Very clean and stylish. Love the art everywhere especially the one by the elevator. This is also a VERY safe hotel, you can tell they invest in this. The front desk staff particularly Augustus and Elena were amazing. Augustus helped take our luggage all the way to the other side of the street to wait for our uber to the airport, he waited until we were loaded to leave us. Elena helped us when we had to come back when our flight was cancelled to stay one extra night. It was speedy and as if we never left. THNK YOU to the full staff at this hotel, it feels good to know that not only is this a beautiful hotel but that the staff is there for you, for your service and make you feel comfortable.

Beautiful architectural building in a convenient location. Breakfast was excellent - much more than continental - and included in price. Seems like there are ongoing renovations in the area. We were on the 3rd floor street side and there was some noise at night. Bathroom was large and included all essentials. The first night included a lovely welcome dish of their famous custard tarts and cherry cordials. Lovely shop for soaps, cork, dishes and other Portuguese items just up the street on the plaza side. Good restaurants as well. Very helpful and kind staff.

What really hit myself and our two friends that stayed here after our Seaborne cruise was the staff! Really an accommodating friendly and truly engaging group. Every staff member we engaged with was absolutely helpful. Especially when you consider the language barrier. Being Americans we are not really a multilingual society. Fortunately for us this Lisboa hotels staff is multilingual as are most in the EU. Nice location, enchanting building, great bar and restaurant.

Staff were exceptional. Friendly welcoming, free drinks on arrival, let us check in 2 hour early, one staff member sat down with us and helped us plan out our few days in Lisbon. Room was very nice, clean comfortable and perfect for our few days there. Breakfast was great as well.

1908 Lisboa Hotel was wonderful and I would recommend anyone to stay here if they are visiting Lisbon. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. On our first day, we were greeted with pastel de nata and cherry liquor with a personalized note; this touch was the perfect way to start our trip.The breakfast each morning was a wonderful way to start our day and the vibe was fantastic in the bar/restaurant. The hotel gave us a sanctuary to rest in between sightseeing and shopping. There were so many restaurants in the square to grab a quick bite or relax with an Aperol Spritz (or 3). We were truly sad to check out and leave the hotel/Lisbon; the hotel was in a great location to get around to different parts of the city. The price point, hospitality, and cleanliness of the hotel made this one of my favorite hotels we have stayed in to date!

We had a wonderful stay at 1908 Lisboa Hotel! First off, this renovated historic building is stunning! When we’d return at the end of the evening to the beautiful building lit up, we felt so fortunate to have discovered such a lovely hotel. Inside, the decor is modern, with large art sculptures on the walls and many comfortable seating options. Our room was well appointed, with a comfortable bed, huge bathroom, and two small balconies overlooking the outside square below. We really appreciated the thoughtful touch of a welcome snack of pastéis de natas, small bottles of Ginjinha, the popular Portuguese sour cherry liqueur, with chocolate cups, and the daily supply of water bottles. The interior wooden window shutters did a great job of blocking out light and outside noise. Daily made-to-order breakfast and an extensive buffet of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, and pastries at the adjoining Infame restaurant was delicious and a great way to start our day. The hotel’s location was very central and an easy walking distance to many points of interest. The famous tram 28 runs right by the hotel and the Metro was a short walk away. But the true gem of this hotel is the staff! Each and every person we dealt with, especially Diogo at the front desk, were friendly, knowledgeable, gracious and kind. We were provided with such helpful information to get around Lisbon, too. We would definitely stay at 1908 Lisboa Hotel on our next trip to Lisbon!

Absolutely fabulous!

I stay in a lot of hotels - at least 30 this year - and this hotel offered the best service I have ever received from anywhere in the world. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff could not do enough for us.
Free drinks on arrival and after coming back each day, parking the car for us, excellent service at breakfast and providing completely customised itineraries for us in Lisbon and surrounding areas sent to our phone.
The rooms were great, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean with absolutely superb showers!
Well done everyone here, you have a fabulous hotel - we will be back :)

This hotel has everything going for it. It's in a fabulous location in an interesting neighbourhood, close to all of the action in Lisbon's old town. The building has been beautifully restored and our room was comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfasts in the restaurant are delicious. But what makes this hotel truly special are the employees -- particularly the front desk staff. They truly care about providing great customer service and want to share their love for the city and the hotel. They are warm, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying at 1908 Lisboa Hotel and would definitely stay there again!

OMG- might be the best hotel staff ever. The staff, the decore, the amenities, the welcome- all spectacular. We definitely would stay here again- just loved it.

Later questions i the survey ask about VIP amenities- which I did not know were VIP or just awesome treatment- so I'm going to answer as if they were. These include Pastis de Natal in our room, along with cherry cordials in chocolate cups, and a free welcome drink ticket. If our room was upgraded, we didn't know it, but it was a GREAT room with juliette balconies and a glass walled bath.

The staff at the hotel (and particularly manager Andrés) were fantastic. All friendly and helpful. The rooms aren't enormous, but that should be expected for a European boutique hotel. The room was clean and water pressure in the shower was excellent. The adjoining restaurant, Infame, served delicious breakfasts and dinners.

The only knock against the hotel (which is no fault of the hotel itself) is the area it is in. During the day it was fine, but nighttime brought out some questionable characters. If you are accustomed to being in such areas, then you are likely to be unfazed. However, if you or your traveling companions are used to morr posh surroundings, should overpay for an inferior hotel in another part of town.

I ended up hurting my ankle during my trip and the staff was kind, bringing me ice when I requested and offering extra pillows for elevating my foot if needed. Would stay there again!

1908 Lisboa hotel is a unique hotel in Lisbon but what made it special was the staff like Ma falda, Catarina, Diogo and others. Special thanks to Ma falda for going above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing time. I was able to check in early and was offered complimentary glass of wine. Treats were also left in my room after a long day in the city, free daily bottles water where most hotels don't offer. My 9day stay at the hotel was the best part of my vacation. They treat you like family. This hotel is definitely the best so far from all the hotels I've stayed. Thank you to the staff at In Fame restaurant for the varied selection of breakfast. I appreciate you all and will be coming back.

Hotel 1908, the best sleep of my life!

Our room in Hotel 1908 was fabulous. It was big and well air-conditioned when we arrived. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. I know that those reading this might not believe, but it was the best 3 nights of sleep I have gotten in at least 4 years. The bathroom is huge and clean. The windows in the bathroom and room both open. The hotel gives you these cute bedroom slippers and post cards you can mail back home. They also treated us with a delicious cappuccino and took their time to explain the way around the city. André, who helped us, was very nice and courteous. I would definitely stay at Hotel 1908 again.

Fantastic hotel. Staff was amazing and their Infame restaurant was a foodie’s dream. The room and amenities were great. The building it’s in is really beautiful, but the location is a bit sketchy. Aside from location it was really fantastic.

Lovely property, interesting art, friendly staff. The restaurant had great food. Bathroom, sheets, robes, slippers all very nice. Walk to core area of Lisbon, view of castle, on Tram 28 line.

Has everything for an enjoyable stay

It all started before we arrived, André and all the wonderful reception staff helped us find and book transport and guided tours. We received a personalized service at all time. The hotel is beautiful and a nice public place right next to it. The rooms are bright and super confortable. The breakfast is good and elaborated. Highly recommend staying there in Lisboa
