Both staff: daytime Maria and nighttime Frendo are extremely courteous and helpful. They allow us to keep our luggage after check out for free, which is wonderful. The room is small but clean. We stayed there 3 nights and pretty satisfied.

I live on the third floor and there is no lift only stairs, it is difficult to carry my luggage upstairs. My room is at a loft, I hit my head twice. And the receptionist is not good at English, so there is some miss understanding when communicate with them. Overall the hotel is good to stay.

Budget Hostel.

This hostel is compact. If you're not a thin person you will struggle to move around the bed and into the bathroom. Water pressure and temperature was inconsistent. Anjos Metro is neaby. Garage parking is expensive. 30Euro/day.
The area is a bit sketchy. Staff helpful.

If you are in Lisbon for travel/tourism only, not much luggage then this is suitable for u. Rooms are clean, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. There is no space to keep your clothes other than few hangers. No space for large luggage. Few minutes walk from metro. There is a cash machine just in front. There is a cafe downstairs and also across main road with good breakfast options.
I didn't have any issue at all. Staff are helpful, especially when I checked in after 12 midnight and there was staff at reception. Importantly, I left my luggage on check out day for whole day.

Whilst the accomodation wasn't bad value for money, the room was only just big enough for the double bed in it and the bathroom was extremely small, meaning it was difficult to use the toilet with the door closed. Staff were nice enough but we were not informed of the existence of a kitchen until the final evening when I asked for a bottle opener (and the bottle opener was broken when I went to get it).
The location was close to public transport and so very easy to get around, there was a small shop close by for necessities.
There could have been some bad timing in our visit too as there seemed to be some renovations going on during our stay, meaning that there was extremely loud banging and people talking from the early hours (around 7ish).
Possibly would stay again if the price was right but overall, not ideal.

The location of the property was really good, just outside the centre of the city, so easy accessible with public transport or by walking.
The staff was very helpful and friendly and willing to do its best for the guests.
The fact that the pension was not offering any breakfast was perhaps a little less ok, but there are many possibilities closeby to go to.

This is more a guesthouse than a hotel.
Its strength, especially for women travellers alone in Lisbon, is the fact that Estrela dos Anjos is managed mainly by an excellent and hard-working all-women team.
However, the guesthouse should advise guests clearly to approach it NOT by walking up Rua dos Anjos (which is not the most pleasant street), but by taking the much shorter/wider/brighter R. Alvaro Coutinho, and then turning left where R. Alvaro Coutinho meets Rua dos Anjos. The guesthouse will then be the 2nd door on the left. This approach felt much safer.

Estrella dos Anjos is no Star

The hotel has been renovated and is modern and clean. Most remarkably the bathrooms. However, there are 4 floors and NO ELEVATOR. And a couple too old to help with luggage at the desk. Additionally, it is unbelievably noisy. Not just street traffic, but machinery, banging, screaming yelling. Terrible to sleep.

Amazing experience

We enjoyed our stay - close to the metro, 10-15 min from Rossio and city centre. Nice and helpful staff. The room we've got was at the last floor with slopping roof, but was fine as we came only to sleep. But what is important - it was clean. An only drawback - no handle for the shower - have to keep it with hands.

About the location, no complains. Close to subway, walking distance to center of the city(downtown).
Friendly people, room was cleaned every day. At this price, we had the privileged to have a private bathroom, which is making a huge difference all the time. The room was small but it was finally ok.
A little complain about hot water, they are boiling to obtain hot water and sometimes we waited too much for this hot water to take the shower.

Facilities of the 90s

We get that it is cheap accommodation but here's what to expect: waking up several times during the night because of the 'rocky' pillows. And they provide one with 3 of them how generous. On the other hand, first thing to do every morning for me is traveling to Iceland (bathroom) and taking a shower with water temperature altering in line with the stock exchange. Other than that it's fine. Bonus point is helpful staff and A/C in the room. Good location with metro station nearby giving easy access to the centre of Lisbon.

The smallest room I imagined I could ever accommodate my family of four. We barely had any space to turn around once our luggage was in. And we didn't have a lot of luggage. A small TV, perhaps 25 years old with broken remote control, same for the airco's one ...

it is not a hotel,it is a guest house.

Staffs were friendly. But the the room was very small . very limited facilities. no tissues supplied in the toilet. bathroom lines were leaking, very noisy from outside also it was very noisy as the rooms were very close each other. there was no soap holder or any place to keep shower gel etc--

Decent and affordable place in a good location

Quiet street not too far from the city centre. Nice restaurants on the main road. Metro station only 5 minutes away. Staff were very friendly and polite. The room was not so clean but the bed linen and pillows were very good. The room was not too big but it doesn't matter if you are sightseeing all day. The shower was not good. There was nowhere to hang the shower head.
Fast wifi connection.
I would definitely stay there again.

Really small room and bathroom. You hardly have space to move and no place for two suitcases. Shower hard to adjust and would go from cold to very hot to cold again in seconds. Very convenient spot, but rooms are not the best.

Too Noisy to fall asleep. Not Recommended.

Too noisy to fall asleep. I can hear staff talking, laughing and walking in the corridor; I can hear other residents walking, talking and opening the door of their rooms; I can hear the door bell ringing every time people want to come into the hotel and it is very loud. I can smell smoke in the room because staff are smoking outside the room. Bathroom is so tiny that you feel like you are in a cell. Not a good experience staying in this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, given how little it cost. Comfortable, clean and convenient. Staff were really helpful. We found it walkable to all the main areas, but also close to Anjos metro station. Not luxurious but perfectly good base for a city break when you are out and about most of the time anyway.

Nice little hotel with friendly staff

I had booked a double hotel room. Having a room with ensuite bathroom at this price was excellent! If you don't mind small rooms then this is the place. It is central, we could walk wherever we wanted. The staff are very friendly and they keep the hotel tidy and clean.

We arrived in the evening and the woman at check in gave us a room with three beds instead of two twins. 20 minutes after settling in the room, we heard a knock at the door and we were told that the concierge had given us the wrong room. The next room was cramped and black mold on the ceiling. The heater didn't work. When we requested another room the owner and concierge were not helpful even though the hotel was nearly empty. Finally the heater was fixed that night. It's an OK place to use only for sleeping and not much else.

Great stay. Fantastic staff.

The room and hotel was really nice. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Sadly, the air conditioning unit kept dripping because of the heavy rain outside. Overall, though the hotel was great. The staff, for the most part, spoke great English and they were extremely helpful during my stay. They even helped book a taxi service for my flight, and it was not only cheap, reliable and safe. The hotel was a little hard to find because the sign wasn't visible from the main street, but once I found it on day 1, it was easy to find and a great location right next to the metro.Would definitely RECOMMEND.

Neighborhood not really close to anything worth seeing or doing, but easy access to metro (Green Line), 3-4 stops to Rossio and Baixa/Chiado. Kind of bare-bones rooms, but clean. Nice staff. Weak WiFi, had to sit on stairs much of the time to get good signal. Decent \"local\" restaurant at corner.

Le recensioni sono fuorvianti, si parla di ottima pulizia ma l'unica cosa che fanno è buttare litri di candeggina senza neanche risciacquare, una puzza da intossicarsi.
La camera tripla altro non è che una doppia con 2 minuscole brandine buttate alla bella e meglio.
Nessun frigobar, nessuno armadio, nessun appoggio per gli effetti personali.
Le prese della corrente sono poche e non funzionanti, il quartiere è fatiscente e il personale parla inglese poco e male.
Tre stelle completamente inventate!

Bon séjour. L'hôtel est bien situé, de nombreux transports sont à proximité (le fameux tram 28, bus, métro) ainsi que des restaurants, boulangeries et supermarchés. Le service est correct.
Petite précision : l'hôtel ne possède pas d'ascenseur, les escaliers peuvent être rudes en fin de journée.

Ficarei na próxima oportunidade

A pousada é simples por fora, na área da entrada térrea bem como na recepção e nas escadas. O hóspede precisa ter cuidado ao subir e descê-las para evitar uma queda. Não há elevador. Ficamos no 3o andar. A pousada é silenciosa e familiar. Atendimento cordial do Sr. Vitor e demais recepcionistas.
Não há café da manhã, mas há muitas padarias ( lá são chamadas pastelarias) nas ruas ao redor. Inclusive há uma cafeteria na parte térrea externa da pousada. Gostamos muito da padaria CAPRI.
Na área há muitos imigrantes e tendas alojadas. Mas é tudo seguro e tranquilo.
Sugiro colocar um sofá na parte térrea para ser utilizado em caso de hóspedes aguardando alguém para nos apanhar. Aconteceu conosco, após o check-out, e tivemos que nos acomodar na cafeteria ao lado.
O quarto tem camas confortáveis, lençóis/mantas e travesseiros em bom estado. As toalhas já estão gastas: precisam ser trocadas. O banheiro é todo novo e o chuveiro maravilhoso.
Fomos a pé para o Praça do Comércio ( 2 km de distância).

Nicht wirklich toll ist, dass die Unterkunft keinen Aufzug hat. Das war aber schon das Wesentliche, was mir nicht gefiel. Dafür gab's freundliches Personal und oeine funktionierende Heizung im Zimmer. Musste allerdings selbst rausfinden, wie sie funktioniert. Einige Stühle auf den Zimmer sind sehr hart, wenigstens einer was dabei, der meinen Komfortansprüchen genügte.

Das Bett was bequem, habe darin gut geschlafen. Bombe waren die Bedienelemente fürs Wasser im Bad. dieses Style habe ich zuvor noch nicht gesehen. Die Unterkunft ist auch nicht sehr weit, von der Metro weg, was mir entgegen kam. Alles in allem, kein Ramada, aber man kann sich dort sehr wohl fühlen.

El precio que me habéis cobrado por viajero no merece el alojamiento. La ducha estaba oxidada, la tapa del inodoro rota, no funcionaba el aire acondicionado, la cama individual era demasiado estrecha. Hemos pagado mucho más de lo que realmente valía la habitación.

Vicinissima a 2 fermate della metro (Anjos e Intendente). Praça do Comércio si può raggiungere anche in 10 minuti a piedi. La struttura è pulitissima e semplice. A noi serviva una camera pulita, con WiFi e in zona centrale. Abbiamo trovato tutto pagando un prezzo contenuto.

Quando chegamos fomos atendido pela camareira e recepcionista, Horrivel recepção! Mal nos olhou no rosto, literalmente jogava nosso passaporte ao confirmar os dados. Atendimento simplesmente horrivel. Nota 0.
Localização boa, da pra ir andando 15 min do centro da cidade.
Cafe da manha não tem, porem tem uma padaria ao lado. Com atendentes muito educados e preço excelente. Este alojamento se salva pela padaria ao lado.

There is no WiFi available in the room and badly near the frontdesk for every type of phones (they say it don’t work for iPhones 😟).
The room is very small and it was not clean everyday. There was dust above the mini closet.
The bed is not for 2 people. Fit just for 1 person, but they say it’s double....it’s not!

Guest House localizada numa das ruas paralelas à Avenida Almirante Reis.
Apesar se funcionar num edifício antigo e sem elevador, a Estrela dos Anjos disponibiliza quartos simples com casa de banho privativa, tv, AC e receção 24h.
Destaco ainda o serviço de limpeza diário de elevada qualidade e que, de facto, surpreendeu atendendo ao aspecto geral das instalações antes de chegar ao quarto. Nas imediações existem várias opções para refeições onde se inclui a pastelaria que funciona no rés do chão do próprio edifício.
Estação do Metro (Linha Verde) com as estações \"Anjos\" e Intendente\" muito próximo.

accoglienza pessima. la persona che ci ha accolto era visibilmente scocciata perché interrotta dalle sue attività. avevamo prenotato una doppia dove si pubblicizzava un matrimoniale francese (largo mt. 1,40) invece il letto era a una piazza e mezzo (largo mt. 1,20), stanza piccolissima certamente non di 9 mq, forse con il bagno.non hanno mai pulito, solo rifatto il letto cambiato gli asciugamani. la zona è pessima.lo smog detector non era installato, la tapparella non scendeva completamente. Fili elettrici penzolanti in tre punti della stanza. insonorizzazione inesistente. il wifi era intermittente non fidatevi della foto non è quello che sembra.

Nonostante la prima apparenza di hotel da bassifondi la camera si è rivelata confortevole e il bagno è nuovo e di design seppur piccolissimo. El hotel estaba bastante limpio, no estaba lejos del centro y es muy cómodo para pasar pocos días en la ciudad. En relación calidad-precio merece la pena alojarse en este hotel si buscas patear la ciudad durante el día y después ir a dormir.

Durch die zentrale Lage alles gut erreichbar, jedoch winzig, Bad nur ein abgetrennter Teil des Zimmers, Schrank so schmal, dass die Sachen schäg eingehängt werden müssen. Wasser nur selten warm. Sauberkeit in Ordnung, sehr, sehr hellhörig.

Skimmelsvamp på 3 stjernet hotel!

Beskrevet som 3 stjernet, burde højst have haft en enkelt! Meget slidt både bygning og værelse. skimmelsvamp på væggen, meget koldt, stor gul plet på lagnet. Vi skyndte os afsted om morgenen uden at gå i bad. Der kommer vi aldrig tilbage til.

La cosa positiva è la posizione, vicina alla metro e a 15 minuti dal centro. Le signore sono state molto gentili ad aiutarmi, ho avuto bisogno di aiuto perchè la compagnia aerea mi ha cancellato il volo. Però non si può dire che sia una sistemazione decente: il letto è molto piccolo, la stanza è molto piccola; carta da parati che si staccava, con la muffa, porta del bagno con metà fatta in vetro, zero privacy, rubinetti separati com'era a Londra un tempo.

Hotel situato vicino alla stazione metropolitana di Anjos, facile da raggiungere. La zona è tranquilla.
Non c'è l'ascensore, perciò se si hanno bagagli è un pò scomodo.
La stanza era veramente piccola ed anche il letto, che non crediamo fosse un letto matrimoniale.
Inoltre aveva un telo di plastica protettiva sul materasso, che lo rendeva un po' scomodo.
La pulizia era nella norma, offrono il servizio di pulizia della camera ogni giorno.
Il personale è molto gentile.
