Simple, clean hotel and a really great value for Lisbon. Nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed and was comfortable for our stay. The staff was friendly, and the cleaning lady in particular was especially kind and welcoming. They also have parking available, which is a big plus in Lisbon. Overall, a solid option if you're looking for something affordable and straightforward.

The service took forever to check us in the room did not have any clean towels we showered and then realized that there was no towels in this in the room. You have to pay for parking in the parking deck. It is very small and it’s scary to drive in and out. It’s only a one-way parking deck, which is the weirdest thing I’ve ever experienced in the parking deck.

the hotel is located in a good location. however the general hospitality skills of the reception and staff could be better with zero smile or glad attitude. also the shower and sink drain was clogged and draining very slow. I do not recommend the hotel or the Parking as it is the tiniest I have seen in Europe and cars hardly fits and also the daly charge of 18 Euro/ night is not reasonable

It takes a lot to write a negative review but after the experience we had we felt it necessary. When checking in, staff was not friendly and were told no parking was available, after we booked this hotel purposefully for parking. Once in our room, we were met with a musty smell and a dirty room. There were numerous stains on the walls and the lamp shades, what looked to be mold in the corners of the showers and coffee spilt on the table. We checked in and out within 20 minutes and were told we would not be receiving a refund. We contacted Expedia in hopes to resolve this matter, and management has still failed to respond to Expedia. Very disappointed in the hotel and do not recommend.

I was being asked to pay an additional €45 for the extra person that I had already paid for. They were very rude, and when I showed them my reservation details, confirming that I had already paid for the extra person, they asked me to fill out a form and it was not a very pleasant experience.

Very nice condition in good price, compared to other similarly priced hotels in the core downtown area, such as in Rossio, Chiado, Baixa. The reviews in those downtown hotels, if true, have lots of complaints related to older construction, such as poor ventilation, street sound, mold etc. But this hotel is a very good alternative for those who wants to avoid those downtown hotels with very bad reviews, because it's only a 2 metro station away from core downtown. So you can avoid all those while staying relatively central. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Strongly recommended, especially because the metro is 1 minute walking distance. The staff were very friendly. Good option for families.

Our recent stay at the Masa Hotel Almirante was a complete disaster. After a long journey from London, we arrived at 6:30 pm only to find our room completely devoid of towels.
Unbelievably, even after reporting this to reception, we returned at 11 pm to find the situation unchanged. The excuse given was a shortage due to a large student group – completely unacceptable! This meant no shower after a long day. Towels finally arrived the next morning, but the damage was done. The staff's dismissive attitude only compounded the issue. This basic failure and appalling customer service ruined our first days in Lisbon. Hardly to recommend.

Walk into centre takes about 20 minutes but there is a metro station a minute away .

Overall the stay was OK. I would consider staying here again possibly in the future, but the condition of the room was a little disappointing but I guess for what I paid and how close it is to most things (within 20 minutes of many things via walking) it was fine. My biggest complaint is the condition of the room. Room looks a little outdated and perhaps some wear-and-tear (marks on the walls, cracks near the desk area, etc). I had a minor issue with some ants near the desk but think I got that cleaned up with some cleaning stuff but still not idea for a 3-star hotel. (For reference, a Holiday Inn in the USA is a 2-star hotel, and I would honestly put this a step below that based on condition). But I also understand that many buldings in Lisbon are older even though the interiors may have been updated, but the ant issue was the biggest turn off I guess. I only saw them the first two nights until I cleaned the desk area and then never saw them again that I remember but I also avoided using the desk after those first two nights. Otherwise, no other issues in the room. The elevator can be slow so I found taking the stairs to be faster (seeing I was only on Level 2, which is actually the third floor; Lobby is on Floor 0). The plus side is that this hotel is only about a block from the metro station and there are food options around with some convenience stores too, so it is convenient, and quieter than other places I stayed in while in Lisbon.

We have chosen Masa hotel cos of the price versus location.
Breakfast was included ( not the greatest, eggs felt syntetic and only one day there were fresh vegetables ,but well , coffee was ok, some frutes and some bakery made it - fair enough)
Metro is literally 1 min away.
Plenty of shops and places to eat around.
Around 25-30min walk to the town centre.

Room was just ok. A bit loudy neighbors but thats not hotels issue.

Staff friendly and helpful.

After check out we were able to leave our luggage for few hours on reception before heading to airport.

The only fault l can find was because of its central location the traffic can be a little noisy early in the morning but l m a light sleeper and the rest of my group had no problem sleeping through it. Booking was easy and confirmations timely and accurate. The hotel was as shown on website. Rooms were refurbished, clean and tidy with a good standard of decor.
The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment.
We booked two rooms for two people in each for one night with parking. One room was fine. The other was only set up for one person. The room was very small with a small double / large single bed. Only 1 set of towels pillows etc. We raised this with the hotel but only additional towels provided. No pillows or tea coffee facilities e.g. cups.
Prior to visit we sent several emails which were only replied to just before we arrived which meant we couldn't plan our stay as we would have preferred. In all an ok experience which could easily have been much better with a little attention to the details and customer requests.

Had to stay in Lisbon only for a night and had a late arrival into the city. Was able to book this hotel on the day of for a good price. It was decent enough with a smooth check in. The room was big. There were only 2 tiny pillows however. The bathroom had cracks and mildew in the tub but it was clean just looked a little old. Overall not a bad experience and definitely suited the purpose. I think it would be a challenge to stay here for much longer than 1-2 nights

Nice hotel and very close the tube (2mins) which made it easy to get to the centre and the airport.
Great place to stay if you want a cheap hotel with good rooms. No other facilities which is probably why it is 3 star and not 4. Perfect for a city break if you just need a good bed for the night and decent breakfast.

My room was nice and spacious with a lovely bathtub in the very nice bathroom, which had loads of hot water and lots of nice white towels. The tea/coffee making facilities were an added bonus as was the free bottled water in the room. The breakfast was slightly disappointing - some yogurts were out of date and the bread was not very nice (crispy rolls would have been preferable). The addition of fresh orange juice instead of the highly-diluted orange drink, would have made all the difference. Also, the timings given for breakfast in the book in my room were incorrect - it stated that breakfast was served from 7am-10.30am and I needed to check-out early on my last day, so missed it as I turned up at 7am! Finally, reception staff could have been more attentive to guests entering and leaving the hotel, as I found most didn't smile or greet guests leaving or arriving.

Pleasant stay for a weekend trip

Conveniently located close to a Metro station. The room was clien and sufficient in size. It even had water cooker and tea.

Everything you need for a couple of nights. Room looked recently decorated and was clean bright, Staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was typical buffet and no complaints there.
The hotel is located very close to Anjos metro which is all you need to get out and explore Lisbon. The metro was only 6.65 Euros for 24h which is great value and this includes buses and trams. If going out to Belem you need to take the train from Cais do Sodre but it is only 10/15 mins. Avoid the queues at the train station by buying the combined metro/bus/tram/train option at the metro station instead of the standard ticket, about 10 Euros. Make sure that you take the No. 28 tram up to St Jorge Castle for the experience and to explore the many restaurants located up there in the back streets.

Room was great with the exception of the shower, it was leaking from the pipes and the drain was getting backed up as I was showing. The free breakfast was good, has eggs, salmon, sausages, cereal etc.... They need to stop watering down the Apple juice though. Receptionists were pleasant. In all, very much worth it.

PS: There is nothing around to eat late at night, stay away from the pastry shop called 'Fabrica Dos Bolos', they were very rude because we didn't speak Portuguese. I would suggest Royal Restaurante, just a few minutes away.

Nice bed, bad pillow. Clean nicely done room, not so clean bedside mats (get a good vacuum,people). The Portuguese lady that helped front desk staff was rather surly, and we would have not guessed she worked there, since she had no uniform. In the previous week we had stayed there and the Eastern European descent receptionist was very corteous. Breakfast is good, and a steal, since it is included. I would possible stay again, but only for the low prices I got this time. my impression all the time was that there was a good chance this place will lose quality pretty immediately after opening.

We also had the pleasure of an amazon shower which was simply bliss after a long night of good wine, good food and tge ever amazing Fado. Overall enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was really good. Always on time and good time allocated so rush to wake up very early.
The only downside just not many good restaurants around. The only Portuguese Restaurant 5 min walk up the road was not bad. I definitely may consider going back when I get an other opportunity.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel, and actually extended my initial booking. The staff at the front desk was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and new-looking, and I had no issues with noise. (Bed was also comfortable.) If I had to nitpick, I'd say that I wish I could control temperature and add more heat in October, but it was okay and bedding helped. And dining options right in the block were few, but I managed fine. Great to have breakfast offered every morning. The metro really is stops away and it's an easy walk to the city center (about 15 minutes or a quick metro ride). Recommended!
