The accommodations are well kept and in a quiet neighborhood. Was located fairly close to the San Salvestro Vaporetto stop. Breakfast was abundant and served on time to your room. Had a common sitting room outside our room which was great as we were travelling with another couple. As the rooms are small we opted not to get daily cleaning/bed making service.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and would definitely recommend. Do yourself a favor and make sure to complete the check-in instructions before you arrive. Especially if you don't have international calling or data. Otherwise the staff was very nice, the breakfast was very good, and it's in a great area.

Standard room we got really looked nothing like the picture. They upgraded us for an additional $30 Euro. At least the bed was comfy. Decent location, but would probably pay the extra next time and find somewhere closer to St Marks Square. Host was friendly and helpful though.

GKK Exclusive Private Suites is like an Air-bnb, but actually with the breakfast. We stayed in the deluxe room, which was lovely, as pictures show.

The bathroom (en-suite) was perfectly practical despite needing some work, therefore if a bathroom is super important to you, you may wish to look elsewhere, but if you just want a shower, basin, toilet and bday it’ll suit you fine.

The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows and there was good storage available, including a safe.

The view from the window was nice, overlooking the street towards the Grand Canal.

Breakfast was pleasant, not amazing, but it caters for everyone and there was a lot of choice. It’s also quite cute how you place your order and leave it on the door to be collected and delivered the next morning.

There’s air conditioning, allowing a comfortable room temperature despite the warmer weather.

There is some general noise, as the door to the room isn’t that thick, but it’s not too bad.

All communication is done via email/WhatsApp, as there’s no one at the front desk, which I found worked really well. Kudos to the brilliant staff.

I would stay here again.

Amazing location, fantastic breakfast that came on time every morning, really clean & comfortable beds. Good aircon to keep us cool during the July heat! Friendly cleaning & breakfast staff, good communication to check into the hotel. We was able to check into our room once we arrived which was a bit earlier than normal check in time. No negatives about this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here on your holiday to Venice!

We enjoyed our stay at GKK. Communication was really smooth considering there was no reception. Staff responded to emails within an hour and gave instructions to check in over the phone. We really liked the homely feel to the property. It was quiet inside and was nice to come back to after the business of the Venice streets! The breakfast was also lovely. No complaints at all.

A perfectly situated room to explore Venice. We booked 2 rooms. One on the ground floor, one on the first floor. Check in simple. Very warm rooms so needed the window open all night so slightly noisy. Good facilities - water in fridge, shampoo in shower! The first floor room was more spacious and airy. Comfortable beds.

If you are comfortable with the self-check in approach, using key codes to enter throughout your stay, this property should suit you fine. It's in a quiet location 5 mins walk from a vaporetto stop with lots of bars and places to eat within a few minutes walk, but quieter and more chilled out at night than the very busy areas of Venice. It's a good place to use as your base.

I asked for the code the day before when leaving Toronto, i did not receive the information and when we landed, our roaming did not activate so i was not able to reach anyone at the hotel with no service. Got lost several times and had to ask two people to use thier phones.

The staff at Antico Doge, the parent hotel, made our stay in Venice a success. GKK appears to have some nice rooms. Ours was renovated top Venetian style. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work and it was a bit muggy. Fans were already supplied, so I suspect it was a recurring problem, un repaired. Our room had no privacy to the road so the blackout drapes had to be kept drawn. The breakfast was the best, but we were happy to leave due to the air situation. We left our bags at Antico Doge and the kindly staff served us Cappucino. We would stay at Antico Doge next time as it was a top top place and staff made us feel very welcome. My wife was pleased with the genuine friendliness. Probably the non ground floor units at GKK would have been a better experience. The area is nice. Close to everything.

Great place for a romantic getaway

The room was as expected, exactly as seen on the photos. Very clean and comfortable.
The hotel offers the option of complimentary breakfast, which we tried once and it was satisfying. We also had a small fridge and a Nespresso machine with coffee capsules, which was much appreciated.
The only problem I encountered was a lack of iron, which was upsetting because it was or last 3 days in Europe and we wanted to look top shape, and not wrinkled all over.
I liked the location, it is very central and close to all tourisic spots.
Self check in was easy, and the hotel was very responsive to all messages. They respond in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place.
I did not take any photos of the room or hotel overall since it was looking exactly as the photos you see on the website.

Lighting was poor with only 2 fixtures. Bath is tiny. Did not realize we would have to carry suitcases to the interior of thd city over many bridges and steps to get there. Better to take a water taxi from train station. Bed was comfortable for two. Tub in middle of room does not work and there is a sign to not use it but it should be removed. Ok for young couple or 2 friends not counting on luxury.

Location was good. All goes down from there. There was no human contact at the property, not even voice call, everything is done by WhatsApp messages.
Pictures are a lot better than the real thing. Room was simply four walls with a bed and a cupboard in it. Bathroom was a tiny room with sink shower and toilet. All very dated stuff. Safe was too small to fit a iPad. The door to the rooms are tough to open, there’s no noise insulation between rooms so you hear everything. Lighting is very poor and our bathroom light barely came on. Breakfast was offered in room, but nowhere to sit and eat it - so we had to sit on our beds to eat it. I wanted to leave after the first day, but I was told the general manager would be around the next morning. He/she wasn’t, they again contacted only by WhatsApp. Offered me a room in another hotel, but no assistance to move (we’re 2 adults and 2 young children with luggage, it’s not that easy to move around !), and also gave no warning about the time limit to which the room offer was available (only an hour or so). I was very close to leaving the last night to go to our next destination a day early, but the space was not available. I’m sure the management will reply with an explanation to everything, which I will not be allowed to respond to, but I promise this was a very poor accommodation and suggest that you look elsewhere. We paid approximately £250 per night, I don’t expect anything amazing for this, but I expected more than this place.

This apartment was in a great location, but the room wasn’t taken care of very great. The air condition was leaking a lot so that we couldn’t put our clothes in the closet. The photos show a beautiful bathtub, I was disappointed to discover it was for decor only. Seems like an odd decor choice. Lastly, there was no iron and when I requested one they told me it was a safety measure to not have one. It is typical for a hotel to offer an iron so this seemed odd to me. The in-room breakfast was okay.

The property was in a convenient area. The check in process was different, there was no one at reception. We had to figure things ourselves. The lock on the room was not so straight forward, luckily one of the other guests was there to help since there was no one from the property to assist. We were not too fond of the breakfast but cleanliness of the room was good, room size smaller than we had imagined from photos. We stayed there one night and was sufficient for the time.

The property is lovely, and rooms are quaint. Staff were lovely too. Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room, and the fan they provided was useless. We asked to speak to the manager after we were informed there were no rooms left to move us to. We were told the air conditioning would be looked at in the morning, and that we could ring the manager in the morning! We were checking out in the morning, so this was really no help to us at all. We paid Aus$260 for this room, so expected better service.
On a positive note, the room service breakfast was delicious

The staff are friendly and good service. However the bed frame is dirty with a lot of dust, on the second day we asked for housekeeping, they just fixed rhe beddings and some stuff but the bathroom still dirty with hairs on bathtub. The toiletries were bot replenished. The most aweful thing is our room is beside the PANTRY/KITCHEN WHERE RHEY PREPARE THE BREAKFAST AND DO ROOM SERVICE FOR EACH ROOM WITH DIFFERENT TIMES. I WOKE UP 5 TO 6 TIMES FROM 7AM BECAUSE OF THE NOISE OF THE CUTTLERIES PLATE MICROWAVE. I had terrible headache for two days.

The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked well and the water was hot.
The only concern (and it was a small one) was that the shower was a little narrow, which made it difficult to reach down to wash your feet or shave your legs without bumping the water handle.
The housekeeper was very nice / friendly and a huge asset to GKK Exclusive Private Suites. She helped us to be able to store our bags ahead of check in time after our very long flight. She was also there each morning to greet us on our way out after bringing in breakfast.

The only small downside - kids beds are not very comfortable for teenage children, usable but not very comfortable.

The hotel ruined our Venice trip.

The google map doesnt show where the hotel is and no one picked up the phone so we found hard to find the hotel when raining. My family finally got there but there was no one at the reception. The reception closed at 5pm according to the email that I had received at 4:30pm; however, I havent seen anyone at the reception for the two nights that I stayed. I do not think the hotel expected us to come because the heating system was not working and the wifi was turned off.

My family including my mum and aunty in her 60s couldnt sleep because of the room temperature. When we got up we tried to contact the reception but of course there was no one so I had to talk to the breakfast delivery lady and email the reception. The reception said because it was warm in the last few days, they turned off the heating system. However, when I checked the past weather, it was pretty cold. They offered free city tax and free mini bar but every family member was suffering from cold so there was no point of drinking cold soft drink. The breakfast was okay but not many choices. The reception promised to turn the heating system on but at the end, they just left one heater for our two rooms so we had to share. Overall no communication and feel like no one really cares about this hotel and no customer service at all. Please do not book this hotel!

Room had mosquitoes, large mosquitoes and we could not sleep.
We also found a huge centipede which we showed to the cleaner who was there, not really reacting to the fact much - so my wife had to kill it.
There is a large bath in the middle of the living room - it is non operational to our great surprise. The actual shower is not in good condition and the door of the room does not close properly. Staff was friendly, but not there when we checked out, and when we arrived we had to wait 5 minutes outside for them to respond to our buzzing. Breakfast was ok.

Great customer service despite AC being broken

What struck me the most about GKK is their customer service. Very kind and responsive staff.
The AC was broken during our stay, in what seems like the the worst heat wave Italy has had in decades. The first night was extremely difficult. However, GKK provided us with a large fan the next day, waived the city tax, waived the mini bar charges, and offered a one night refund. This gesture speaks to how the customer is their priority. The breakfast every morning was very nice- they had a variety of items to choose from and it was a great start to our day. The suite with canal view is a great size for up to 3 people. It is decorated wonderfully and was very clean. Location was great as well- less than a 10 min walk to Rialto bridge and great shopping on the way, as well as max 5 min to the S. Silvestre water bus station which will take you right to the train station. We will stay here again.

Very Venetian in style. enjoyed coffee available in the room -K-cup style of excellent quality. The staff were helpful with information and directions for finding your way around the city.
My one big complaint, the breakfast served in the room left much to be desired. Menu offered eggs benedict, they only came - cold scrambled, soggy bacon,and cool coffee. The fresh fruit plate was about the only thing that was good on the tray.

We had a tough time in Venice. Our hotel reservations got cancelled in the lat minute - we were fortunate enough to have had booking at this place. Having said that - this place is extremely small and not functional in any way. They are fancy .. but miss out on basic amenities that are important in every room. They do not have a luggage stand/ table to keep things - So small that you step into the room - two steps in you see the bed.. and that's it. We had to place all our luggage on the floor and sort clothes - in having to do that - I hit the window and the window fell off its hinges breaking a glass. We are liable now for a freak accident! Please be aware & careful on how flimsy the windows and general facility is in the hotel. The only great things about this place is the front office staff during checkin. I was impressed by their demeanor and calmness in approaching a delicate situation. They are great - hotel.. Not so!

A tiny Venitian gem.

GKK is a tiny hidden gem that captures the heart of Venice. Everything is within walking distance. This is a small romantic hotel which is great for couples and families. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Everything was tip-top. The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time and accommodated all of our requests and then some. Francesca and Marco at the front desk were so gracious (along with the rest of the staff). I would give more stars if I could. Thanks GKK for making our first trip to Venice a memorable one!

Very nice hotel

This is a very nice and comfortable hotel to stay in. We were very fortunsge to have booked here for our 2 night stay in Venice. We got in early and walked about 15-18minutes to the hotel and the staff let us leave our baggage for free so we could start roaming the streets and bridges of Venezia. By 2pm we checked in and saw our fantastic quiet room in the ground floor. We were told this was the Cassanova room. Spacious, clean, smelled very, very nice and a great tub for soaking our tired feet/legs in... We truly enjoyed our stay here as the place was in the middle of everything we wanted to see. 5-8minuted walk to Piazza San Marco & Rialto bridge and the vaporreto ports and also roughly about 15-18 munite walk to the train station. I would say a very convenient place if yoy are planning to walk to most of your sights. Staff was very helpful, especially Francesca who helped us with a few tips on getting to certain sights.

The best part of our trip

I can't say enough about this hotel (Boutique) We arrived late at night and The manager was waiting outside for us!!!
She was so friendly. The room was beautiful. The breakfast arrived in our room and was delicious.

Das Zimmer war sauber und sehr nett eingerichtet. Das Frühstückservice war auch ausgezeichnet! Die Lage ist auch perfekt um Venedig zu erkunden, einfach Klasse und zum Weiterempfehlen!
