This hotel is located on 3rd floor requiring to climb very long double 3 flights of stairs and elevators were broken entire stay. At the time of reservation this was not shared. Staff was very apologetic and helped us to carry the luggages but there was no sign of repair men working on this issue. This was a huge issue for my 72 year old mom with back and knee issues especially after long walk

Palazzo Bembo is a beautiful retreat in the busy Rialto Bridge area of Venice. Transportation is just steps from the door, restaurants and all the sites are an easy walk. The staff was great. Alice and Mattias took great care of us, even walked us downstairs and waited till our water taxi to the airport arrived. Definitely our choice next time we’re in Venice.

The hotel consists of 6 rooms in a 15th century building. The furnitures and fixtures are all from the 15th century save for the toilet. People who like old world charm will be smitten by this type of hotel. My husband and I are more into modern facilities though. The location is right next to Rialto bridge and you get to be in the thick of the action. The staff are nice and friendly too.

The location was excellent, the room was spacious, clean and had all the modern amenities. The bathroom was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. The building although old is beautifully maintained and decorated in Italian old wood charm. The breakfast was good and the dining area was not crowded with three windows that overlook the Grand Canal and partially the Rialto. This small hotel is not only value for the money, but will make your Venetian stay in Italian old world charm.

Great staff!! Beautiful hotel so well situated easy to get to with the water bus, a few step away from the hotel. Great breakfast and by the Rialto Bridge. Love that it was on the Grand Canal easy was to San Macro maybe 8 to 10 minutes. If we return to Venice we will stay here again !

My wife and I loved Palazzo Bembo. Great location just steps from Rialto bridge and the ferry, yet quiet and with a magnificent view from the breakfast room. Comfortable room and absolutely amazing staff. A big thank you to Alice who checked us in and to Thomas who took great care of us during all our stay. He even lent me a pair of gum boots as the city was flooded, so I was able to discover the beauties of Venice!

The location was truly excellent. The room was spacious with an updated bathroom. The hotel itself is on the top floor of the Palazzo with the lower floors occupied by a modern art gallery (which is truly worth going through if you are an art lover!), meaning that the rooms were super quiet. It was a very peaceful atmosphere which was a great reprieve from the throng of tourists outside! Also, the staff was very attentive and the breakfast very good. We were a family of four in the room (kids are 12 and 17) and were quite comfortable.

This is wonderfully quirky hotel - although \"hotel\" does not really describe it well. There are only 6 rooms and the staff are so welcoming it feels very special. The location is perfect - right next to the Rialto Bridge with views of that and the Grand Canal from the breakfast room.

Lovely little hotel and fabulous breakfast! Overall staff were very nice and helpful! Apart from one chap who kept us hanging around whilst he obviously did not look for a mirror! You know who you are and I would suggest you just give a straight answer! Negotiating two flights of steps to reach lift was tricky with large suitcases!! We paid for an upgrade but this was not evident! Suggest this needs resolving so you know what you are paying for! Perhaps rooms should be graded on the website!!

Perfect location and comfortable room. The only negative is that breakfast starts at 8AM. The hotel will prepare a bagged breakfast to-go the night before, if you have to check out before breakfast is served.

We were so happy with our stay at Palazzo Bembo! The location really could not be any better for getting around becuase its right by the Rialto bridge and many signs will point you to Rialto it was always easy to get back to our hotel in the labyrith of streets that make up Venice. Plenty of good food, coffee, gelato, and shopping nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable and had the old world feel of Venice while at the same time having a modern bathroom. The staff is very helpful and accomdating.They really want to make sure you have a good stay and enjoy Venice. We didn't opt for the breakfast but we probably should have becuase it looked great! Totally recommend this hotel to anyone!

Easy to find from the Aliluguna water bus
Great location by the Rialto bridge. Walk everywhere or take the vaporetto which stops right in front of the hotel. The room was very quiet, spacious and wonderfully old-world with fabric wall coverings and antique wooden furniture. Staff were relaxed and friendly. The little location is right in the heart of the tourist area so outside the hotel was very crowded during the busy August tourist season. But there are a couple of grocery stores —one right in the building, and in a few minutes you can get to less congested areas. We didn’t choose the breakfast option but were nevertheless treated to a free passegiato treat of prosecco, tea, coffee, and fruit in the late afternoon.

Beautiful large room with a large bathroom. Great air conditioning, comfortable bedding and views of the grand canal out the window. Staff were lovely and very helpful, especially with recommending places to eat and how to get around. Breakfast was ok for the price (10 euro each per day) and there was complimentary afternoon tea (fruit, biscuits and tea/coffee) which was nice. The grand canal is literally right at the doorstep, the Rialto Bridge is less than a minute away. Also close to St Marks square. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Stayed here for 4 night in early June. Lovely hotel right in a really central location. Easy to reach with luggage from the station as the water bus stops right outside (get the 1 not the 2 to save carrying luggage over a small bridge). Really comfy room and, whilst there was no view from our besdroom window, hat did.not matter as the views from the dining room are great and all Venice has to offer is right outside. Added bonus, a bottle of Prosecco to help celebrate my ‘big’ birthday - the reason we were in Italy!

The hotel is lovely and furnished with period antiques including several esquisite Murano chandeliers. Rooms are very spacious, modernized baths, comfortable mattresses. We had a great view of the tower in San Marco from our window. Hotel is steps away from Rialto Bridge and vaparetto. Busy location but quiet hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. The staff were really helpful and knowledgable. The room was quite very clean and comfortable. The location is superb and we walked to most sites. For example St Marks square is walkable in 10 mins. I would use this apartment again if we go back to Venice.

The hotel has only 6 rooms (on the third floor of the historic Palazzo Bembo). We stayed in the junior suite that looks out over the Canale Grande and the Rialto bridge. What an awesome view! Room is comfortable for 3 people, with period furniture, but a very modern, highly functional bathroom. Quiet despite being on the main waterway. Good service at reception. Booked a concert for us and gave us direction to several sights we wanted to see. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was their recommendation for a restaurant, across the Rialto bridge, that somehow is \"associated\" with them. I thought that was a tourist trap; pricey with just okay food. We did not take the breakfast at the hotel (many good bakeries nearby; ate at Rialto Market one morning, only a 5 min walk); it looked ok. Adequate for Italy, but a bit sparse if you expect hot American or German breakfasts. Overall, great choice. Not cheap, but worth the money to create memories. Would stay again.

Prime location with a wonderful breakfast
Palazzo Bembo was located directly in front of the Grand Canal and 50 yards from the famous Rialto. There are only 6 units and our host Silvia was fantastically kind and even went as far as greeting us by name as we first entered the grounds. We didn’t have a pen as we left so couldn’t leave the written review so hopefully you read this. Thank you for everything! We had a wonderful stay. :D

I took a chance at this hotel simply becsuse it’s located at a vaporetto stop and the Ponti di Rialto. I was very happy with the location, estimated especially because it’s Carnevale time. The accommodations were not updated but I expected it from a place with historic value. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My room was extremely spacious. The breakfast spread was jot exceptional but adequate. I will definitely stay there again...

It is Not a hotel. It is a flat that has 6 bedrooms for rent. The building is old, no maintenance at all and each floor have a different business. It is not worth the cost.

Palazzo on Grand Canal near Rialto Bridge
Hotel has 6 rooms & was once a palazzo. Charming, traditional Italian style. Some rooms have views of the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. Our bathroom was larger than expected & had a bathtub. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Art galleries were located on the first and second floor with contemporary art exhibits. If the lift is not working you will need to go up three flights of stairs to reach the hotel.

Small very friendly hotel with only six rooms. The main receptionist each day spoke really good English, other members not so much but we still got through. I'm disabled and they couldn't be more helpful, part of the booking was for breakfast and each day they brought it to our room instead of going to the dining room.

We stayed for couple of nights at the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent - a minute from the Rialto bridge, adjacent to the boat stop from the airport and walking distance to San Marco.

So, in summary, very good location but if you have heavy luggages either make sure the lift is working or get a commitment from the hotel that someone will help you out.

The Hotel is on the 3rd floor of a 400 year old building.Bembo was the last Droge & we were told this was his home. The floors are uneven, the decor oldie worldly & quirky but if you like that sort of things it's fabulous. The public boat buses are right outside so it's very convenient with a great 10 minute walk to St Marks Square through the tiny lanes.

Small hotel at top of a building 2 minutes walk from Rialto and right by river bus stop. Very friendly service. We had room at the front with great views. The hotel is very quaint and reflects Venice including the large slope across our room - but that was part of the charm. Breakfast is a bit basic but fine. No evening meals served. Lift is a bit small but great location for exploring the city.

Hotel in old building and great location
The hotel is located near Rialto bridge and just in front of water taxi bus station. Therefore from the airport I took water taxi with a return fare of Euro 25 and hotel door is opposite the Rialto stoppage which was great. The hotel is on 3rd floor of a old building having lift after 10 or 12 steps. On the 3rd floor there are only 6 rooms. The location is perfect. There are two employees in the hotel - one at the reception and other who looks after breakfast and room cleanliness. Both are helpful. I would recommend this hotel
