Venice has the narrowest alleyways and it was quite hard to locate this hotel, with Google Maps sending us around in circles. Once we found it, Salvatore at reception was super-nice and gave us clear directions back to the hotel and hot spots. The breakfast was excellent! We’re vegans, and the staff made sure we were well-fed with vegan falafels and vegan grilled cheese sandwiches. They even made us cappuccinos with almond milk! I wish more hotels did that. That was a really great experience.

Lovely hotel conveniently situated between Rialto and St Marco. It’s tucked away in the courtyard so it is very quiet despite being in the middle of touristy area. Our room was large by local standards, and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, many options for every taste. The staff is warm and accommodating. We are very happy with our stay and are looking forward to returning to this lovely hotel in the future.

Perfect little hotel in the ideal location

We actually had 3 separate types of room here, First the Classic Room we had room 301 and although it was clean and tidy it felt like being in a prison cell we asked to change and they were great. We moved to a Junior suite which we paid extra for, (room 407) and it was amazing I genuinely can't imagine a better room in the heart of Venice.
We also had a Deluxe room I think it was room 310 again it was really good, nice size, very clean nice view
All 3 rooms were very quite.
The hotel was perfect position
The breakfast was amazing
The staff were exceptional
The courtyard was so nice that some walking tours came in to take pictures.
As I said earlier i can not imagine there being a better hotel in the position it is in.

If I had to be picky I would say the television in each room was poor.

Privacy in the middle of San Marco

Traveling solo I booked a small room which turned out to be equipped with everything one would need. It was very clean and superbly organized.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast wonderful.
Although in the middle of San Marco the hotel has its own piazza and is secluded and very private.
I will definitely return and highly recommend it.

Magnifique séjour

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à cet hôtel. Nous avons été très bien accueilli et l’hôtelier nous parlait même en français. Il nous a même aidé à réserver notre train pour Ravenne. Le déjeuner était excellent et très diversifié. L’hôtel est situé tout près de l’arrêt Rialto ( vaporetto). Il n’y a pas de pont ni de marche pour se rendre du bateau à l’hôtel ce qui est très pratique lorsqu’on traîne des valises. L’emplacement est idéal. C’est à quelques minutes (5 à 8 minutes) du pont du Rialto et de la place St-Marc. Je séjournerai là à ma prochaine visite à Venise.

Had an absolutely amazing time at Hotel Al Codega! The staff are very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Only suggestion for improvement would be to put out a sign for the Hotel in the ally close to the Hotel as it was a bit tricky to find it. Location however is superb, close to Rialto and Sam Marco Piazza. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, in an isolated courtyard, in a great position in Venice. Less than 10 minutes walk to St. Mark's square, as well as the Rialto and central to much else. Finding it is a bit of maze though. That said, very nice and helpful staff. Room wasn't huge but functional and practical. Good airconditioning and wifi. Room included a work desk. Breakfast was very nice, with multiple hot and cold options, including options to have certain items cooked to order.

A quaint hotel with wonderful breakfast.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. The reception desk staff when we checked in was a bit stand offish. The elevator is very tiny. The room size is ok for European standards. The throw rugs are beautiful Persian style but pose tripping risks. The bathroom is roomy but can use more counter space or hooks. The shower floor was a bit slippery. But the gem of this quaint hotel is the delicious breakfast which was included in our price; with a giant spread of a variety of eggs and meats, cereal, pastries (yummy), juices, coffee and tea. I enjoyed my stay.

the location is \"interesting\" as you access it thru some very questionable alleys, but Venice is filled with them so you adjust.
Issue was bed bugs, and mosquitos. We only confirmed the bed bugs after we left so we did not get a chance to see how the hotel would deal with the issue.
