We were anxious about getting to Venice airport by 9:00 am. Hotel arranged pick up at the hotel for a water taxi to airport direct. Enjoyed the wild speedboat ride to the airport getting there in perfect time.

First of all the location is mere steps from the Piazza San Marco and getting to sit by the window and watch the gondolas and the people going about their day was cute.

I love the bottle of champagne that the hotel provided for me and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I didn't take a water taxi to the hotel but I did take one when I transferred to my next place and it's definitely easier than lugging your suitcase through the streets.

Drinks at the bar were 10/10 and will definitely be back and stay longer next time!

Room was quite small but very clean. Unfortunately plumbing not so great. We had to regularly chuck a bucket of water (we used the one in the waste bin) to flush the toilet. Shower temperature quite erratic.

However other than that was totally adequate.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which is ideally located to the centre of activities and within a walking distance from the St Marks Square. Hotel Staff were very helpful and the ambiance was good. Only downside was a lack of breakfast which did not have much options for vegetarians and no complimentary water available in rooms. Water is necessary for guests to take medicines. Otherwise, I fully recommend this hotel highly.

Our stay was outstanding! Hotel is central and allowed for easy access to sites. Several restaurants close by, and water taxi and gondola ride can be arranged for pick up/drop off right at hotel.
Room was very clean and staff was super helpful, gave us recommendations and tips.

Unfortunately, baby crib was not available in the room later once we asked, they brought one which was broken. Literally, we could not use it. The room was too small barely 2 people can fit. Room was called Canal view but one of the Metal blind was broken and you could not open the window to enjoy the view. That’s all.

When traveling here contact the hotel for water taxi information. They may be able to make the reservation for you which would be a great help. Approximately €70 from train station and €170 to airport. It really makes a difference since they have their own doc.

Lovely hotel, just round the back of St Marks Square and overlooking a gondolier embarkation point. Convenient for sightseeing and shops. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nicely equipped and clean.

This place smelled terrible all throughout the hotel and room. I tried to contract them for information on how to get to hotel from airport but they just passed me around without any help. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were like pancakes. It was nice to have the breakfast included but the eggs were watery and cold the minute they opened. There was a good variety of cold items and the coffee machine was great.

Very convenient to Doge’s Palace, etc. loved the location and assortment of shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great. As with anywhere in Venice, be prepared to carry luggage up and down stairs to cross all the canals.

The room was clean, but there was a horrible sewer smell when the windows were closed and the AC was on. In fairness to the hotel, we got there late, so I did not ask to get a different room after we checked in (we were only there 1 night). Maybe they would have accommodated. The smell was also present in the lobby but not as strong. Our room was on the second floor.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The surrounding area is a little noisy, because you are so close to San Marco, which is a very busy area. However, you are also at an optimal location to get to and from Rialto, San Marco, Castello, and Canneregio neighborhoods very quickly. If you are arriving via San Marco vaporetto stop, you only have to cross one bridge with luggage, which is a huge help. The staff I interacted with were all very kind, professional and helpful. The breakfast is lovely and perfectly filling. I would highly recommend returning.

If we ever go back to Venice, this is where we will stay again. The entrance is just 100 feet from the Piazza San Marco, yet on a quiet, narrow walking street. Right outside our window there were about 16 Gondolas moored with a lot of fun activity to watch during the day -- if we were to just sit by our window or sit in one of the hotel bar's balconies downstairs, sipping a glass of wine. We were greeted in our room upon check-in with a bottle of cooled Champagne. I don't know if all guests get this or it was because of the higher priced room overlooking the canal and Gondolas, but it was unexpected and very nice! The staff were wonderful and the breakfast offers both traditional European continental fare (our preference when traveling in Europe) as well as fresh-cooked scrambled eggs, bacon and other fare that Americans are used to seeing in the U.S. From the hotel, most anything you would want to see, eat, drink or shop for is within an easy walk. Very highly recommended!!

Location is what makes this hotel worth a stay. Otherwise a bit mediocre. Several issues in bathroom-sink stopper didn’t work, toilet seat loose, lighting so so for shaving.

Major complaint was advice on how to get to hotel from airport. It is directly accessible by water taxi but concierge told us to use their preferred car service, which was very poor.

The A/C was not working, so the only fresh air was coming from the open windows. Windows have no mosquito nets and each morning my family was covered in mosquito bytes. In addition, the noise from outside made it impossible to have good night sleep: working pump and construction at 4 am near the hotel, among other loud noises. If the air was flowing in the room, even without A/C, it would still help because the air outside was around 65-70 degrees but there was no flow of air at all. I told about the problem at the front desk but the answer was: there is no A/C until summer.

Like all Venice hotels it is an older classy hotel but kept up well. Right on the canal where gondolas park at night. Very close short 2 minute walk to SAN Marco square. We were in annex building across the street (alley) from main hotel. Only down side is whenever you wanted into building you had to go to main hotel front desk to get the door unlocked. Lovely breakfast overlooking canal. Staff very helpful. Water taxi can drop you off/pick up at canal side of lobby. (Taxi boats are very pricey. 100 Euros from hotel to train station - city water buses much cheaper but drop you off in San Marco square boat station and a bit of a walk).

Excellent hotel. 50 steps from St Marks Square. Beautiful view of Gondola launch area from the room. Clean room. Modern amenities.
A bit noisy from the gondola area in the morning. Ear plugs fixed that minor inconvenience. They have their own gondola launch door who appears to get priority service.
The only complaint was that the shower would fluctuate from a comfortable temperature to very hot and then cold. Suspect a water pressure issue. They could benefit from pressure balancing faucets to prevent scalding. Stood to the side of the shower stream and popped in and out as temperature changed. Managed to take a decent shower. Could be an issue for children or elderly people.
I still rate the hotel very high and would stay there again.

Don’t stay here. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the advertised air conditioning, and when we arrived, we were told it was “off for the season.” The room was hot and stuffy, leaving us no choice but to open the windows.

That might sound fine because of the canal view, but it wasn’t—mosquitoes came in all night and we were constantly bitten. So it was either suffer in the heat or get eaten alive. Either way, we barely slept and it made the trip noticeably worse.

Breakfast was disappointing. The eggs and bacon were always sitting out and barely warm. The bar was also a letdown—prices were far higher than anywhere else nearby, so it wasn’t even worth using.

The only positives were the location and the housekeeping staff, who were much friendlier than the front desk. Everything else fell short.

Amazing location, really friendly staff, the free bottle of fizz was a nice touch adter a long wait in the airport. Great breakfast and the room was lovely. Only one moan- it is a beautiful hotel, the restaurant and bar overlooks the canel with balconys that face the canal great for a drink and relax in the sunshine - the bar does not open until 3pm. You have to leave the hotel to get a drink ! Definitely stay there again

Our stay was perfect start to finish. From the check in experience to the included breakfast to the service everything was nothing short of a 7 star experience. Starting with the location - perfectly located to all close attractions, very easy to walk from Rialto bridge which has direct connectivity from the Airport/Train Station. We came from the airport and departed Venice from the train station - both commutes were very easy from this hotel.

Staff was top notch, very professional and accomodating. The rooms were very clean, well insulated, and had all the facilities that you need. Also has elevators. Bed is comfortable, although the double bed is two single beds joined together (but we didn't mind that).

If I am ever in Venice I will be back here!

Rooms were spotless, the location is about a 30 second walk to San Marc’s square, I had a room with a Canal view, it was lovely watching all the Gondoliers each morning.
Staff all very polite. They have some tiny balconies just next to the restaurant, with two seats, perfect for an afternoon drink to watch the world go by.
