On-site amenities include laundry facilities, lockers, and everything you might need during your stay. Our room was very spacious with beautiful canal views, and the location couldn’t be better—just steps from St. Mark’s Square, the Basilica, and countless restaurants and shops, making it the perfect base for exploring Venice on foot.

the hotel is close to everything, 3 minute walk to St. Marks Square, close to the Alilalguna boat dock, lots of restaurants and shops with a very short walk. The room was small although that's a European thing I believe, but offered a fridge, safe and coffee/tea maker and water. There is a washer/dryer and ironing room which is all free of charge. It is a virtual check in and virtual communication so if you aren't tech savvy it might be a concern. They were prompt in answering any questions I had and also fast for help needed. My only criticism is the bathroom, it is painfully small, a large person would never fit in there, I am 5' 2' and when I sat on the toilet and leaned forward my head hit the wall, and if you bend to use the sink your behind hits the door and your head hits the shelf.The shower head should be changed from a rain shower to a proper head, you can not wash without being covered in water as there is no room to move away from the shower head and trying to wash the shampoo out of your hair takes forever. If you turned it on full force you had to turn it off mid-shower as it would over flow. There is a bidet in there as well which should be removed as it takes up too much space that is not there to give... We liked everything else about the hotel but I wouldn't return because of the bathroom until it was re-vamped...

This hotel was great! There’s no front desk so they send you all of the instructions ahead of time, which made things very easy. The hotel was a little hard to find because it’s in a small courtyard but because of that, it was pretty quiet. Also, we had a gorgeous canal view, which was awesome. The room was very clean, they give you free cartons of water, and we were able to do laundry in their washer and dryer, which was so helpful (they provide washing pods too)! The one thing we didn’t like is that they had luggage storage but it was only 4 lockers (2 small and 2 large) and when we checked out, there was only 1 available. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Venice!

I appreciated the option to store my luggage before I was able to check in. Although I must say I was a little lucky to get one of the four lockers since I timed it perfectly with someone who was just leaving. Otherwise I would have had to seek one of the alternative \"partners\" which would not have been as convenient.

Note that the photos showed the family room with the beds situated in different rooms but when we got there all the beds for four people were in one room. The property was great overall. Unfortunately they changed the furniture and removed the 3rd bed we were expecting and counting on. There is still the main bed and a pullout sofa that could sleep two small kids but is not suitable for more than one adult-size person. They should add back the 3rd bed or update their floor plans, pictures, and descriptions. We had issues with not enough towels, a completely clogged shower drain, and AC not working but when I called Numa they took care of everything very efficiently and effectively.

It was very difficult finding the hotel. It is behind a large intimidating gate that appeared to be locked. Eventually after looking everywhere in the vicinity of the hotel, I tried to open the gate and it was unlocked. That led to a courtyard and after looking around at several other door, I eventually found the hotel. There wasn't a noticeable sign leading to it, I had to rely on the address alone. I didn't realize when I booked it, that this was a self-service hotel. I generally dislike them because of the difficulties one can have with keycodes, elevators, room amenities such as extra towels, or other problems. Had I realized it, I wouldn't have booked it. On the bright side, the hotel was located very close to Saint Mark's Basilica which is what I wanted. Also, it's right on a canal so it was fun watching the gondoliers and passersby from my 2nd story hotel window. As for the room itself, it was adequate in size. There was a small refrigerator which was nice. There was ample place to hand clothes. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows were terrible - flat, hard, unpleasant. The bathroom, however, was great. The shower especially. It had such powerful water pressure that I couldn't turn the water to full power. Finally, the hotel was in an excellent location. The restaurants right outside the gate were great for breakfast and dinner. I had an especially memorable meal of linguini with clams at Serafina on their rooftop seating area.

Beautiful hotel to stay at with my partner and amazing view of the canal. Room service was not an issue since there were restaurants/bars nearby. Also, the central closet in hallway had all the needs for the room when we ran out of toilet paper, so it was convenient.

Use WhatsApp for communication and all goes smooth. Our canal view medium room was great and clean. Had singing gondolas going by in afternoon right under our window. We arrived late so went right to room all electronic push buttons for entering building and room.

We had an amazing stay! Our room was absolutely gorgeous with the balconies overlooking the river with all the gondolas going by. We got a serenade and it was amazing! The property was beautiful, very clean and the location the best!! It was very close to walk either to Piazza San Marco or to Rialto bridge. The coffee machine and the water in the room was great!
The correspondence prior and during the stay was immediate. We were able to leave our bags after checking out at a locker downstairs on the first floor, which is extremely helpful. They even had toilets in the lobby prior to leaving back to the train station.We hope to return soon and really recommend it!

If you are a do it yourself, no glitz no glamour this is your spot. Property is clean, but I saw no one. I had the canal view and the noise starts at 0430a until approximately 9p. Location is walkable for sure to all stores, restaurants, San Marco piazza and waterfront, however after 9p it is very quiet and dark and I was alone.
I suggest perfect for a simple no frills couple or anyone that fees safe alone.
Check in and out were easy peezy!!! I emailed for trash to be picked up and new towels and they were there immediately.

Although was a short stay of two nights, this place was nothing short of amazing. I traveled with my 74 year old mom and 16 year old. 4-5 minute walk from the San Marco station and convenient shopping and dining a few steps away from the place. Stefano was prompt in his responses and I honestly felt like I had my own personal concierge. Even arranged a taxi pick up from the water door the day of my departure and provided clear instructions on how to get to Burano. Place was clean and quaint, just have to prepare to walk up a short few flights of stairs since no elevators, but so worth it. I give Stefano’s place and level of service my highest recommendation.

There is NO elevator so pack light as you will be carrying your bags up the stairs to wherever your room is located.

Gondola side room was horrible. Woke up to delivery men yelling every morning at 5:30. Mattress was horrible. Property was really musty smelling even for Venice. Would not stay here again.

Great boutique hotel! We took a water taxi from the bus station (80 euros) and they dropped us off at the hotel on the canal side....super convenient! The room was clean and spacious for a European standard hotel. Valentina, the staff who check us into our room was very friendly. We stayed in room with a Gondola view....loved it!

Best Hotel Ever. Hotel Palazzo Orseolo exceeded our expectations. Location is perfect and staff are wonderful. Staff Valentina and Hilaría are amazing and will provide their numbers for dinning recommendations and help getting around Venice. The gondolas and water taxis pick you up at the door of the hotel. Room was super spacious for the four of us. Super clean and modern rooms. This is a high-level hotel at a budget price. 1 minute walk to Piazza San Marco and 5 minute walk to Rialto Bridge. There are lots of dining and shopping options right out side the hotel. ATM next door too. I will always stay here on my return to Venice and recommend this hotel to all our family and friends.

Hidden hotel surprisingly close to St. Mark's
The location of this hotel is outstanding. It's on a small canal, and within a very brief walk to St. Marks and the Doge's Palace. The hotel itself is quite old, as you might imagine in Venice, but appears to be kept up pretty well.
The hotel is not easy to find, but the staff did an outstanding job of telling us how to get to the location, including directions from multiple locations, photos, and clear communication in English.
The hotel is not staffed 24/7 -- it appears that the office is open from about 9am to 4:30 or 5 pm. They did give us clear instructions about how to access our room and our key when we arrived late one evening (thanks to some typically Italian transportation problems).
While we were there, unfortunately the main HVAC unit had failed and they were waiting on a technician to repair the system. We had a room in the top floor of the hotel, and it was EXTREMELY warm the first night, even despite having the windows to the canal open and a fan running. (probably 80 F/27 C). Since there was no staff there, we had no way to know what the problem was and assumed we were doing something wrong with the thermostats. We found out the next day about the problem, and the staff worked with us to find us a cooler room on a lower floor. It wasn't ideal, but we understood that repairing a system like that isn't super-easy in Venice, and we were grateful the help to find a more comfortable solution.
Overall, a great location on a canal for a reasonable price.

The room was really clean, it included all of the amenities you could need, but the noise from outside was really loud at times (not their fault just something to note). Misleading and uncomfortable.
I believe you will find this hotel to be greatly misrepresented and very disappointing. The staff is rarely on site and impossible to get in touch with should you need any assistance at all. There is no air conditioning in the rooms despite that the property advertises. And the “gondola view” is only accessible if you are willing to lean your head out the window. Add to all of this the fact that the location is tucked much further out of the way than the majority of other hotels. All in all, we felt very misled and we’re quite uncomfortable during our two-night stay.

Fantastic location with real gondola views! Room was simple clean and had everything we needed, including hairdryer, USB ports for phone. Blackout curtains worked and bathroom newly refurbished - nice and contemporary style. Receptionist lovely and organised taxi for us - All in all a great place to stay.

Our AC did not work and it was too noisy to leave the windows open at night. We were hot and did not sleep well our first night in Venice. We decided not to stay our second night at the hotel. The hotel did not offer to give us a partial or full refund for our discomfort or decision not to stay the second night. The hotel has a great view of the canal and it was clean, but the willingness to accommodate our decision to leave was not met.

The hotel is not labeled very well and was hard to find at night. There is no elevator and there was no one to help use with carrying our luggage up 2 flights of steps. The lady that was working on the day we checked in was not helpful when it came to finding parking. We had to wind up parking at airport and finding. Water taxi on our own. This hotel was perfect for me as a solo traveler! The room was clean and comfy, and the window opened to overlook the canals which just made my heart swoon. Valentina was so kind and gave very thorough instructions to find it and check in with my very late arrival. The location was great, just a couple of minutes walk from St. Marks. I would definitely stay there again if I went back.

If you're looking for the best money can buy, then stay at the St. Regis Venice or equivalent.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s in a bit of hidden location near St Marks Square, but the hotel provided great directions to find it without an issue. We were upgraded and the room was very large with hardwood floors and a modern, huge bathroom. The hotel receptionist was super helpful and warm and spoke perfect English. Couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and will stay here again when we go back to Venice.
