Staff excellent .Hotel Reception exceptional .Room a bit tired and Bathroom screen for shower poor leading to flooding of Bathroom and hence peeling paint on bathroom door and woodwork.Shower needs to be replanned.Which is a shame as Cannel view for Junior Suite Exceptional.Breakfast not really up to standard and breakfast room to small for all guests to sit.However despite this would still recommend as Staff more than make up for interesting facilities and location Excellent.

Marco was very helpful and welcoming! He offered me a glass of prosecco or glass of juice (My choice) he make sure the last night of my stay I had transportation to the airport in the morning! The room was very pretty and accommodating! I love free breakfast everyday of my stay! Overall very happy and promising to go back!

We cannot say enough good things about Hotel Becher. The staff are extraordinary and so helpful. We left yesterday for another hotel and already greatly regret our decision. We will be back to Hotel Becher, no doubt ♥️

The hotel is older and the furniture reminded me of my childhood bedroom set. I could open my window and basically look the gondolier in the eyes, which was kinda cool. At night though boats came and went pretty late and people were yelling and singing so it was a little loud. Once I got to sleep though it quieted down and I slept well. The bed was REALLY HARD. The location was in the middle of everything, restaurants and shopping everywhere, 5-10 minutes walk to everything. Breakfast was plentiful and you got as many made-to-order coffees as you could drink, which was nice. The breakfast room was quite small, but it did make for good conversation with other diners. The staff was top notch and helped with your every need and spoke very good English. There's a 24 hour desk, and that make it nice too. They arranged a pick up from right next to the train station by boat to the dock of the hotel so we didn't have to drag our bags across the cobbled streets and over bridges hoping we were going the right direction (google maps looses reception between buildings sometimes). They also arranged a boat to take us to the airport at 4 AM and both rides were timely...not cheap but VERY convenient. It was a very nice stay. The people were great and communicated well throughout the trip, thank you!

This is a great option for nice hotel close to St Mark's square. It's right on canal and we were able to get water taxi service to hotel from train station and to the airport for departure. Service was great! The room was a little warm and no AC since its Oct so they brought me a fan and that worked out great! Only negative is the bed was too hard for me, but that's just my personal preference.

Hotel directly on the canal was convenient. We were picked up at the airport by private boat, arranged smoothly by the hotel staff. We chose the same mode for our departure to the train station. Walking distance to the Doge palace and so much. Breakfast was very good and staff were lovely.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. This hotel was amazing, super clean and had little touches that made it perfect without the high price tag. It is literally walking distance from all the important attractions, lots of shops and restaurants. The free breakfast is delicious with scrambled eggs, bacon or a type of sausage, etc. The receptionist, Elena was absolutely wonderful, sweet and super helpful. She recommended some good authentic restaurants and helped with general questions, always with a smile and very professional. I highly recommend this hotel. We will be back!

Perfect for first time visit

This was the perfect location for a first visit to Venice. The front of the hotel is on a small canal and the back is on an alleyway that connects to many shops and restaurants. All of the hotel staff were so kind and helpful, especially Elena who arranged our water taxi’s at the beginning and end of our stay. The night front desk staff member, Marco was so helpful with directions. The room was perfect for four adults and the breakfast was great!

Loved staying here! It’s in such a convenient location, staff was super nice and helpful, and the room was nice. Staff was always around, attentive, and answered any questions we had. Loved the private dock for the property and was extremely easy to get around. The area felt safe. The only complaint I have is that the shower made it nearly impossible to not drench the floor. The shower door is just too small. Regardless, house keeping replaced all towels every day so wasn’t that big of an issue when we laid some extras on the floor.

Positives: The breakfast was excellent. There was a lot of variety of food and everything was tasty. The waitress was friendly and quick.

In our room, there was a safe and a mini fridge. There was also nice shampoos, soaps, and lotions in the washroom.

Lastly, the location was spectacular. We were a short walk away from the Basilica, Doge's Palace, the Rialto bridge, etc.

Negatives: Unfortunately, we were notified 12 hours prior to our arrival that the air conditioning wasn't working. When we arrived, they let us know that a mechanic would be coming the next day with a piece to fix it. They gave us the option to find another hotel for no cancellation fee, or we could stay for a discount. We chose to stay thinking that since the weather would be cooler, it wouldn't be too bad to have 1 warmer night. However, the mechanic never came to fix the air conditioning so it did not work for our whole stay. This resulted in several mosquito bites as the only way to cool the room at all was to open the windows. At check out, we were offered a 30% discount which the hotel initiated and dealt with on our behalf.

The room did not feel very secure. The lock mechanism on the door was broken and could be easily pushed in with a shove.

Also, the shower nozzle continuously sprayed water out of the shower unless you were holding it. The top of the shower attachment was held together by tape, and the plastic lip on the bottom of the glass didn't keep water in at all.

Old upholstery and carpet so not clean! Manager not around and would not do anything for this expensive 3 day stay except offer bottle of cheap wine and bigger room last night. Do not stay here!

What a wonderful surprise

We recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary 14-17th May.

What a great hotel we chose. Our room was lovely with lots of nice little extras and a direct view with a balcony over the canal, we got to sit and listen to the singing gondalier drivers and see the most wonderful sights. The location was excellent literally under 10 mins walk from St Marks Square water taxi stop (we took the public one from the airport) the breakfast was great, with a lovely continental selection and even eggs and bacon for hubby ! All of the staff were so helpful, kind and spoke excellent English (which was very good of them as we'd not made nearly enough effort to learn Italian). We wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. Loved it

This hotel was PERFECT!!! The view from my window was so amazing that I couldn’t even go to sleep because I just wanted to keep looking out. The window opens up to the most beautiful view and sounds. You an watch the gondolas go by right by your window. The whole hotel is beautifully designed and the staff is so welcoming and charming from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave. The breakfast was beautiful and plentiful with lots of great choices. I will definitely be back to this hotel again. My only suggestion is to be aware that for Americans the plugs are kind of old and not all of them work well with current adapters, but that is just a heads up, it wasn’t a big deal at all.

The room was very cool- we had a great vintage photo shoot and thats why I booked it. Staff super friendly, only issue was a trash boat kept driving through the canal throughout the night and the workers were very noisy. Slept on and off both nights while awoken every couple hours.

The Hotel Becker is a beautiful gem located in the heart of Venice that is absolutely amazing. There are plenty of restaurants, shops of all kinds and tourist attractions minutes walking distance from the hotel. The staff has been incredible. This is my 10th city on my month-long tour of Italy and Elena, Gigi, Francesca and Arsam have been amazing. When you arrive at the hotel the staff immediately makes you feel like you’re walking into your own home. The rooms are clean with lots of space. The shower is incredible and the breakfast is so unbelievable. When you’re laying in your bed in the morning what wakes you up is the incredible aroma of a delicious breakfast waiting for you downstairs. I must say as beautiful as the hotel is it wouldn’t be near as incredible if it wasn’t for the staff. I feel like I’ve made four new friends in Italy. If I had to rate this property one out of 10 I would give it a 50 if possible that’s how good it is. If you’re traveling to Venice, this is a must stay. Don’t even look anywhere else just come to the Hotel Becker and you’ll see what I’m talking about and you will not be disappointed that I promise you

If youre looking for a great place to stay this is rhe place. From the minute the water taxi drop is off in front of the hotel Arsam was there with a big welcome smile greering us and help us with the many bags. In the morning the 2 ladies that serve breakfast is very friendly accomodating and helpful! All the ladies at the desk and Marco are so nice!Everything is amazing here. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Becher very much. The location was great, and the hotel was well maintained and reasonable.
The best part was the staff. Elena went way over and above in helping us to secure a train connection to Rome. It worked out very well and we would not have been able to do it without her help.
We also were very pleased with two of the front desk clerks, Marco Gracie was one and also the man who checked us in whose name I don’t know. They both were terrific and very pleasant in helping us with everything.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay there if we would go to Venice again.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Becher. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful. I was so impressed by their communication even before our trip started. They booked all of our water taxis as well as dinner reservations. This made our travelling totally stress free. They even booked our taxi and private shuttle to Trieste for arrival the day before our cruise. The room was clean and comfortable…had everything we needed. The location is perfect….you can walk to all of the major attractions. St Marks Square is 4 min to walk and Rialto Bridge is 6 min. The included breakfast had a good variety and was a nice touch to help to start your day. Being on the canal watching the gondolas go by was very relaxing as well as arrival from the airport by water taxi directly to the hotel was so convenient. We will recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Venice…you won’t be disappointed!

Classic Venetian style room with cute balcony to watch gondolas go by. Wish I could upload pics but app says the file size is too large. Francesca was lovely, gave us simple directions. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. Highly recommend the water taxi from the airport to the hotel (which the hotel arranged) and back again. The taxi took us straight to the hotel’s jetty. It saved us a lot of time and hassle with luggage, finding our way, etc. Marco was a great host, making us a coffee after a busy day sightseeing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking to the major sights. We booked water bus tickets and did a round trip of the Canal on Line 2, leaving just in front of the Doge’s Palace. The Rialto Bridge was in walking distance too. Our room was very well equipped with a mini fridge and safe, plenty of towels and slippers (a lovely touch!) and toiletries. My husband thought the mattress was a bit hard but I slept very well. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choice of rolls, hams, cheeses, pastries, jams, toast, scrambled eggs and sausages as well as juices, tea and coffee. We welcomed the aircon as it was extremely hot during our stay. This is a lovely hotel and we would definitely stay there again, hopefully for a few more nights next time as we didn’t get to see everything in the time we had.

Lovely hotel situated on a canal in the heart of Venice , all the main attractions are within a few minutes walk so perfectly located .
All of the staff are friendly, attentive and will help you with anything you need ,
We had a deluxe room overlooking the canal which was great as could watch the gondola go by
Room itself was spacious,clean and comfortable
Breakfast offered a good selection of some hot and cold dishes
There is a small dock which is used for the private water taxis ,you can also sit out there with a drink watching all the boats come by
We took the water taxi to the airport and it’s a short walk to the hotel
