The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are small but cozy. Breakfast had good options and the service was excellent. Luca at the front desk was amazing—friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable.
My only complaint is that the towel warmer in the bathroom wasn’t working, which made the bathroom cold and caused the towels to stay damp and develop an odor. I’m very eco-conscious, and I believe that if the towel warmers were functioning, guests wouldn’t feel the need to request fresh towels every day, which would be much better for the environment.

The hotel is lovely , with spacious rooms and bathrooms . It is in a perfect location , with shopping , restaurants and San Marco only 5 minutes away . The breakfast was bountiful, with an array of choices! The staff was friendly and very helpful . I would recommend to anyone staying in the area .

We only stayed 1-night, but we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was inside and outside. They upgraded our room at no extra charge, another nice surprise. The continental breakfast was much better than most. The staff was very accommodating and sweet. We would definitely book another stay there, if or when we return to Venice.❤️

Very updated, clean hotel with friendly staff. Hotel has an elevator which was really appreciated after a long daily walk. Breakfast was great as well. Piazza of Saint Marco is 5 minutes away. We find everything is close to this hotel.

We loved this hotel. It was in a perfect but quiet location. Rooms were lovely with a very big bathroom. The rooftop terrace was really nice and we were given free nuts, crisps and biscuits when we ordered a drink. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff are very friendly too.

Very nice prperty with minutes walk to public water taxi (S. Angelo stop) and shopping. Plenty restaurants 5-7 mins walk. St. Marco square 7 mins walk. Very nice breakfast from 8 to 11am. Mattresses are very hard so if you have back issues ask the stuff to bring softer bedding. Has an elevator and property is in very nice condition (possibly was remodeled not long ago).

Pros: Location, modernity, cleanliness, bathroom, linens, bright interiors, all the staff very welcoming and helpful. Cons: lack of a/c after a fixed date, so we had to open the windows to cool off, leading to mosquitoes in the room (tho the staff then installed a “mosquito machine”, which I must say worked); unappetizing eggs @ breakfast, tho otherwise brkfst pretty good. A very pleasant stay, all in all, in a glorious city.

We had a fabulous stay at Al Theotro palace hotel while visiting Venice. The hotel is spectacularly maintained. The rooms were comfortable with all modern amenities. We were pleased with the above and beyond service from hotel staff and conceirge in answering our questions and helping with the transportation options. The hotel is also 5 minutes from St. ANGELOS ferry stop fpr both Water bus and Alilaguna water taxi to the Airport. The courtyard in front of the hotel is beautiful if you want to have a dinner at the restuarant. Its also centrally located and 5-8 minutes walk from St. Mark's Square and Grand canal. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Venice.

Overall this property felt more like a Hampton Inn or 3-star, definitely not high end or luxury. The room was really small and the shower minuscule barely any room to turn around. The towels were really worn and tattered. The slippers seemed used and smelled! The breakfast was just ok, had much better at the other hotels in Italy. Juice was not fresh, for example. The lady at the front was very helpful but the older man and I spoke to on the phone a few days before check in, not so much. It was incredibly expansive for what you get. Overall not super impressed but I guess the location is decent to major attractions. Not on the water so be prepared to drag you luggage over multiple bridges, stairs and cobblestones if you’re taking the public water taxi. A private one will cost you $80 USD for a 10 min ride to the hotel (and still have to drags your bags a few mins up and down stairs)

Great customer service

I arrived at the hotel early and wanted to check in at 10:00 AM but my room wasn't ready. They offered me a complementary breakfast. While I was eating breakfast they delivered me my key and said that the room was ready! Later that night I had a problem with the toilet and they moved me to a new room without any hesitation!

All of the aspects were great I only had two complaints, for a 4 star hotel. The shower is way too small and I’m a small skinny guy standing 5’6” and 120lbs. I still found myself knocking the water valve off and or knocking the shower door open. Also towels were very rough, like sandpaper. I would still recommend this hotel to my friends because it is a 4 star hotel in all aspects.

Our room was by the street which the noise was loud until about 1 in the morning, made it hard to sleep because of the restaurant next door. Room was small but very nice.

Smaller hotel (around 26 rooms), the staff was super cordial and helpful. The room was nice and big, so was the bathroom. The mattress was a California king, firm and comfy. Room had air conditioning and all toiletries. Complementary water was offered.

A really nice boutique hotel within walking distance of St. Marks square. Its just a little bit off the beaten track in Venice, but trust me, that is a good thing. It's easy to get just about anywhere in San Marco from this hotel. Our room was great, the staff were so friendly and helpful (especially Claudia --- I think that was her name). There are many restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

Absolutely no service. Not a 4 star. First impressions of the hotel was that it looked good from the outside, however on arrival no one helped us with bags. Room was so tiny. Shower very small. We could bearly move around the room with our 2 bags of luggage. Floors were dusty and it did not look like the bathroom had been cleaned properly, the bottles in the bathroom were dusty and there were water spots around the sink. Kettle in the room was also dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. The single tiny cupboard in our room also has a very bad damp smell. The mini bar fridge made a noise which we had to ask to switch off. Aircon doesn’t work.

Then the mosquitoes! TONS of mosquitoes in our room, when we asked for help, we had to go down to reception to pick up some racket to kill the bugs because there was no room service at the hotel for the night. The receptionist told me that he can’t bring the racket up to our room because he’s the only staff member on site.
We spent our first night here killing mosquitoes!
I find it ridiculous that a 4 star hotel has no one else to help with room service. They were also unable to help us with a second room card and could offer no alternative to the disturbing mosquitos. I spent my first night unable to sleep in a tiny stuffy room full of mosquitoes which I had to try to kill by myself. Bed is also very uncomfortable

The hotel doesn't provide any slippers
or complimentary water, which I would expect from a 4 star hotel.

It’s so nice to stay in such a lovely boutique hotel - we loved our stay here ! The room was small but had all the comforts we needed . Bed and linen were great . The breakfast room was so beautifully laid out I will hold it in my memories - a bonus is that breakfast is available u til 11 am also check out at 12 love these extra touches for a smaller property
