Most things were good and genuinely 4 star. However, the tiny bathroom was almost unusable. I am not very tall but found it very difficult to sit on the toilet. The first time I did, I hit my knee badly on the wall at the front, had no choice but to push back hard and broke the toilet seat. The shower doors were so stiff that I could barely open them, the floor was not non-slip and there was no mat to step out onto. This is NOT 4 star standard.

The room was mostly clean, minus a large insect on my window and some food mess on the bathroom floor. The water took a long time to become hot, and the heat in the room was a bit archaic. The bath also didn’t drain properly at first. There also wasn’t much sound insulation between the rooms. But I did enjoy the location of where the hotel was, the morning coffee, and the staff was very kind. Overall I’d say it was a decent place to sleep at night, and I’d advise you to let the water get hot before you get in the shower.

Great service and nice accommodations.

Great service and nice accommodations. A little dated, but very clean and close to many restaurants, shops and train station. The only concern was the broken in-room safe that I asked to be repaired twice and unfortunately it was not. They did offer the use of the main safe at the concierge desk as an alternate.

The breakfast was OK and the terrace was pretty good. Now for the bad, we stayed 5 nights and we occupied 2 rooms, there was missing always a towel; we stayed at the 6th floor and the water had no pressure and at night cold. The windows didn't isolate the noise and we could hear continuous humming (maybe the building ac) and cars hooking, they really need to replace those windows. The rooms were not really well clean.

Attractive classic style hotel. Beautiful terrace. However facilities are very old and run down. Very poor water pressure ion the 7th floor. Air conditioner was effective but leaked water excessively. Staff not interested in our review of the stay. With many repairs this place would deserve its 4 stars, but not good value in my opinion.

the hotel is in a very convenient location for the train station and the room size was good, however beyond that the hotel was pretty awful and needs a major revamp. we where on the 7th floor right next to the breakfast room / kitchen and you get woken up from 6am with the preparation and guests. while you do get a private terrace I don't think they should have rooms on that floor unless they can properly sound proof them. the flooring was poorly laid and had air bubbles which meant you always worried the floor was going to drop. the beds where terrible and desperately need to be replaced. the shower only got warm after 10 minutes - that was only lukewarm at best. the water pressure was terrible, you'd be better off going to the terrace in the rain. finally our rooms weren't even in range of the wifi. incredibly disappointed.

My stay at Hotel Torinon was great. The hotel is located only about 3 blocks from Termini (train station) and walkable distance to some of the major attractions. The staff was nice and the check in/check out process was a breeze. The stay included breakfast with more than I was expecting (hard boiled eggs, cheeses, turkey, fresh fruit, bread, cereal, etc) as well as a full coffee machine for latte, chocolate, etc in a rooftop. The AC worked great as did the wifi.

The hotel is near Termini Station it is a bit dated but clean. The breakfast was essential, served on the roof terrace which was disturbed by pigeons ready to pick on guests plates. Probably having a waiter staying on the terrace it would helped to keep them away.

Excellent breakfast with friendly staff on rooftop.
We had a large room which was pleasant surprise for a European city. Only downside was wi-fi was non existent in our room and lobby the entire stay. It was difficult when I was trying to check in to the flight and had to seek out elsewhere, than that I wouldn’t have cared.

We arrived late in the evening, so think you get stuck with the crappy room. Front desk clerk continued his business and rudely told us to what for him to call. The shower head did not have a strainer for the first 3 days we were there. The water was impossible to regulate. The toilet low flush was broken. We were on the breakfast floor and the noise in the morning as they were setting up could wake the dead. We had a balcony that adjoined to two beside us, came back after a long day to find that this door had been left open and another day the door to our room was left open for anyone to come in and take our belongings. chose this hotel because it said there was paid laundry - none. They did have a nice breakfast buffet

Close to the train station. At first I though they were helpful, until we complained that the WIFI did not work in our rooms and they said they would send someone up. They did not. Later that night told them again and they said the guy was gone and would come by in the morning. Again, they did not. They need an extender for the wifi to reach the end rooms. Also, my air being pushed out was hot. I switched from AC/ to heat to make sure that anything worked. But no matter what, it was warm air. They said they couldn't move us rooms since they were full, or move us hotels. I didn't stay my second night that I paid for. I informed them I was unhappy and leaving, and they still charged me 2 days of taxes.

Okay hotel could use some improvements

The place was pretty old and the floor and walls were not in good condition elevator was also messed up. Bed was uncomfy. Overall though nice staff and decently placed near everything we needed to get to. Would prob stay somewhere else next time but it worked for what we needed in rome.

So I was looking for an apartment in Rome and I stayed for a while in that hotel. It was nice enough, the 7th floor is cool because all the rooms have their own terrace and the rooms are a bit cheaper. They're not fancy but the terrace with the amazing view makes up for it. I couldn't quite be bothered with the breakfast the guy was super rude when I showed up a bit late.

Great stay at conveniently located hotel.

Once the check-in was sorted, we were given a lovely room with a bathtub. Room was spacious enough for a European hotel room & the included breakfast was wonderful & offered in the rooftop terrace. Location is great for walking - 5-8 minute walk to the station & many of the sights are also within walking distance.

The overall state was not a bad one, but there were a few hiccups during my time there. When I arrived in the evening to check in, they did not have any record of my reservation. I had to show them both my email confirmation and the date it was made and the confirmed booking on the app for them to give me a room. The first room I was given Was on the main floor opening out to the street. Wi-Fi was terrible & at times non-existent from my room and the electrical outlets (at least those by the bed where I was charging my phone) only worked when the lights were on, which is tricky when one is trying to sleep but also must check their phone at night because of time difference & work back home. The next day they were able to accommodate my request to move to another room, but the safe in the new room did not work. They sent someone in to fix it but I had to leave my belongings unsecure until then as I had to head out. It was repaired by the time I came back.

Those glitches aside, the hotel is in a great location, close to the train station and easy to set off on foot there to explore the city. Also, the breakfast is quite extensive with several options - ham, cheese, cereal, yogurt, toast, croissants and pastries.

I would probably stay there again, as I now know what to expect, and they did try to accommodate me as best they could.

I am a solo traveler and found the room just spacious enough. The bed was comfortable, staff adequate, housekeeping good, clean and location is great. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant on the roof. I had expected the street noise to be louder because of some reviews I read, but it was acceptable...I mean it is Rome. I do recommend it for the solo travelers like myself if you’re not looking to break the bank in hotel expenses. Overall thumbs up.

Overall we thought the hotel was in a great location for us to explore, and the staff were lovely. However the room we were staying in was a disgrace. We had mould all in the shower and around the walls in the bathroom and next to the bed the light switch was hanging out of the wall and nothing was done about this. This is a serious hazard and dangerous for us staying in the room and was showing live wires. We wouldn't recommend staying here.

The roof top breakfast room was amazing. the breakfast was lots to start your day... but had to be careful of pigeons wanting to eat your breakfast. They are quite nervy!! Easy walk from Termini and to hop on Bus stops. Lots of eateries near by. can walk to most attractions if you are energetic. would stay again in a heart beat.

We were staying here for 2 days as the hotel.com agent said this was comparable to Best Western Plus across the street which were staying at. However the room was old and as you will see from the photos they speak for themselves. Wardrobe door falling apart, the floor lifting and bathroom dirty and the skirting board falling off. The location was perfect but will not be staying there again. Disappointed with hotel.com agent to even recommend this as comparable to the Best Western Plus

The room offered by the hotel was with the bide loose and a strong infiltration of water on the floor of the room. The odor was unhealthy and fetid. Complaining they moved me to room without looking at the pictures or talking to me. They just gave me another key and \"told me\" to look at the room.
We asked for an extra pillow and again we were ill and precariously attended to by the front desk

A little more basic than we had expected. On the plus side, the staff were great, very helpful. There was a nice buffet breakfast which we had out on the rooftop terrace. It was excellently situated for the Termini bus station and Metro, 2 mins walk at max. Loads of restaurants and shops around plus a wonderful Venetian Glass shop across the road.
Not so good, the WiFi was terrible and very hit and miss. We were unable to print off boarding passes as a result. The room was small with minimal bathroom products, poor quality towels and nowhere to put anything in the bathroom other than the sink surround. There were no facilities for having a coffee or a snack after breakfast was finished but they did have a nice little bar and seating area. Shame they missed out on coffee!!!
Overall it was a good little hotel, safe and clean and a really convenient base to explore from, not too expensive but a little lacking on a few niceties.

We stayed in room 311. The wallpaper was peeling. There was mold in most of the shower grout. The toilet seat had stains on it. The WiFi did not work in room or lobby. I did not ask to change rooms because we discovered the issues after touring Rome on foot about 10pm. We left at 6:45 am to take the train to the airport. The hotel didn’t serve breakfast until 7 am so missed out on breakfast that was included in my reservation. Very disappointed. The hotel had 3 stars. At most it is 1 star. Not sure if we just had a bad room that needed renovation or if entire hotel is like this. Not worth the money we paid.

Hotel was very clean and very close to the train station which makes it a good choice. One person at the desk was very helpful but other was not as friendly, was rather rude. Everything was good except the bathroom. The shower's temperature couldn't be controlled and was very hot. We just showered using the separate faucet on the side .

Worst Hotel in my experiences ever

No hot water available. Front desk clerk advised me to wait more than 10 min to water be hot, although not available even after waiting 30 min.. Flont desk clerk recomend alternative 6 rooms, but hotwater was unavailable at all. (I need to check all 6 rooms by myself, since staff is only one flont desk clerk after 11pm!). It took 2 hours although the trouble was unsolved. Much worse, my kid had cold after taking cold showers.. I stayed 1 night (since no other option), and cancel 2 nights and move to other hotel by my own cost.
I don't exactly understand the definition of 4 star hotel in Italy, althogh I believe this hotel is not worth it (i.e. not clean room, air broaken controllers for air conditioner). Note that city tax is higher than that of under 3 star hotel hence it is waste of money.

The hotel is in a good location Close to the main station and therefore easy with the Metro.

The rooms are a little tired and in need of renovation. For example, We had a jetted bath tub that had long since not worked, the minibar was taped shut and the word NO written on it.

Breakfast was satisfactory with the exception of the coffee which was undrinkable even for somebody who drinks very strong black coffee

Weekend in Rome

The Hotel was small & comfortable, the room was clean & linen changed everyday.
The continental breakfast had a good variety of food to choose from. The breakfast room was on the 7 floor with a superb view of Rome, you could sit out on the terrace or you could eat indoors.
There was no bar in this hotel.
My biggest dislike was the staff!!!!!! Not one member of staff was friendly, everything seemed like hard work for them. When booking in we were told to come back in an Hour in a very abrupt manner, not even a “welcome to Rome, I hope you will enjoy your stay with us”.
The staff in the Breakfast room were extremely ignorant, never greeted you, didn’t even speak.
We would stay here again if I was to return to Rome but I have no intention of returning as their are a lot of other Cities to visit.
The hotel was close enough to train station, & we walked the length & breadth of Rome, nothing seemed to far away from the hotel.
The staff all need to go on a Customer Care Course & learn to Smile.............

This hotel was disappointing. The staff weren’t very friendly and it’s really old and run down. Most uncomfortable beds and linens and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Location,location,location!

Great location, close to the metro, buses and train station. Very clean, and friendly staff. WiFi was slow, but overall a nice and affordable hotel.

No sewing kit!

Hotel was fine. Stay here because you need to be close to the train station. Good location to catch any city bus too. If you are here to see the heart of Rome look closer to Piazza Novona. Wifi in rooms is poor.

worst experience!!! . AIR CONDITION WAS DEFFICENT, room dirty.
