The room was clean and modern and most of the staff were helpful. Somehow the pier of S Maria del Giglio were closed during my 2 day stay, it almost killed me us from dragging two 28 inches suitcases and 2 carry ons (coming from Australia for 1 month of Europe trip) all the way from the next closest pier…… and there was a national strike on the day of leaving, had to cross 4 bridges and dragged suitcases again for 1km to Rialto pier…it would have been nicer if I had been informed by the hotel staff about the closed pier…

Lovely stay, great receptionist.

The hotel was lovely and the Receptionist was so helpful with our difficulty. We could leave the bags there whilst touring Venice. Just beware that the check in instructions are not always accurate, they said we should go to the Terino to book in but actually we were fine going straight to the hotel. Location was great too, right next to a water bus stop.

We were a little suprised to be taken to another building a short walk away. Sadly no lift at this one.
Lovely room, well stocked fridge (free drinks).
Balcony and great air con a bonus.
Location very close to Giglio water bus station.
Opaque bathroom door no fun when you can see your mate on the loo.

Stayed here one night and never write reviews but what a scam. “AC” is let out through a tiny crack on the floor. When we reached out, the host said he couldn’t do anything and to open a window. So we left hot and with about 40 bug bites all over. Save your money and stay away from here. Also the place smelled

Don’t stay here

This property is misleadingly listed as a hotel, but it did not meet the basic expectations of one. I originally booked a room with Palazzo Pianca but was instead taken to an entirely different building. There appeared to be one individual managing several locations, and there was no signage to indicate where to check in. We were approached on the street by this person and escorted to what was described as our accommodation.

While the check-in process seemed standard at first, we were then walked to a separate, unmarked building. The room’s air conditioning unit was non-functional, and the same individual who checked us in attempted to fix it with no success. When we raised concerns, the management showed little interest in resolving the issues and responded dismissively, saying, \"Well, this is Italy.\"

Overall, this experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I would not recommend staying here

Very nice stay in a gorgeous room, well stocked bathroom, with all amenities. Location is great for all of the sights you come to Venice for, though you do have to go a little further out to find good restaurants. Daily cleaning and mini-bar stocking was great. Could have done with a larger bin for rubbish within the room.

The only friction really was trying to figure out the check-in process if arriving outside of hours (8am-4pm). Hotel Torino, round the corner, is the 24/h check-in location, which is fine, but it took a couple of days for email/text replies to confirm the process ahead of our stay.

This property is difficult to find. All other hotels in area have huge signs. This one a small 6 x 4 maybe on doorbell. I wasn't the only guest whom had trouble finding it.

Nice place, convenient to the square, within walking distance.

Room was nice.

My biggest beef was, because i have no upper body strength, it was difficult for me to push those solid wooden doors open.

Overall, it was nice!

Unfortunately i was unable to stay here, due to the airline rescheduling my flight, but it looked amazing. They still took my money though which i guess they are entitled to do.
Please read the small print, the reception is only open for a short time in the afternoon and isn’t actually at the property. Be aware that you can get a train as far as Venezia St Lucia but after that you have to get the Vaporetto (line 2) or a water taxi. It takes 30 or so minutes. And the streets of Venice are v confusing! My advice unless you are arriving early is to look for a hotel you can walk to easily from Santa Lucia

A gem in Venice

Palazzo Pianca is an absolute gem!
The location is great - close to all the main attractions and right on a vaporetto stop
There are plenty of good bars / restaurants on the doorstep for breakfast (which isn’t offered in the hotel but there was a fridge and coffee machine which was more than enough)

Easy to communicate with - very helpful with transfers, restaurants etc

The rooms are modern but many retain the charm of the old building (the suite was exceptionally good value)

It was great. Customer service could use improvement, but this is a small boutique type hotel. The annex rooms are not in the same building or square as the main hotel. This should be explained in more detail in the reservation. The annex rooms do not have an elevator. Also not disclosed.

Hi our rooms were in another building Anex did not realize at the time of booking. So it was a bit disappointing since we booked 7 rooms and 2 were in another building. It should have been mentioned on the website. Overall experience was great reception was closed in the evenings so had to what’s app for any issue. Rooms were clean and very comfortable beautifully decorated and all the rooms were excellent.
My mother’s room on the 3rd level AC didn’t work properly and it wasn’t as cool as others rooms.
Overall we had a great stay and they arranged taxis for us from the hotel to the airport.

Staff were co operative and replied to our what’s app message quickly. Reception area should be improved since the rooms were so nice.

This is a great little hotel in a really good
location just a 10 minute walk to St Marks Square. Very clean and comfortable. We had a mezzanine room which had a bathroom and living room area with sofa and TV down stairs and a very comfortable bed upstairs. Our son had a sofa bed downstairs which he said was very comfortable too. Toiletries, bath robe and slippers were provided as was a complimentary mini bar which we found handy after a day out sightseeing in mid thirty degree temperatures. Breakfast is not available but this didn't matter as only a two minute walk away is a little place you can buy croissants etc! Staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

This is a very small hotel and the people that work the desk are in a back room. You are lucky if you catch them there and they let you know that they are very busy and get put out if you ask for anything. They are difficult to understand and rude.
The woman that we had the second day was better and walked us to the water taxi after my son in law called the hotel for me.
I would not recommend. There are better lodging options.

This is a lovely hotel situated a 1 min walk from Giglio water bus stop on line 1. It is only a 10 minute walk from St Mark's Square. The area around the hotel is very quiet and the room was lovely.
The only downside was the bathroom is made from frosted glass walls so not as much privacy if you're sharing the room while you're using it!

Had a penthouse room which was unusual. No room in bathroom to put out anything. Bath gel soap was out. King bed was extra large do that was nice. No extra blankets. Small room although the booking said it was a double room. Not sure what that meant.

When checking in, there was one man on the bottom level. He leaves at 6pm so there is no one there to help with questions, etc. Only way to get help was to call a number. We did do this and got a response but found the whole process rather strange.

Mini bar is great, showers and bathroom are recently renovated and beautiful. Everything clean and neatly organized. Hotel is near the Marco Plaza, excellent shopping area with designer stores and bar restaurants and gondolas are everywhere

Property is not identified outside; not easy to find. When we arrived to the “front desk”, the man was rude and short of words; he slamed his fist in the table when he asked a question to one person in the group and a different person answered.The man lacks proper customer service.

Very nice place, but unfortunately supposedly the double rooms all face a wall so there’s almost no daylight. We didn’t get an upgrade to a room with a light or an upgrade at all despite it supposedly being a perk (as seems to be typical). We asked about it but were told nothing else was available. The site had other rooms available for purchase the same nights, however. Otherwise it’s a very nice well appointed room.

Fabulous hotel and the room was amazing.

Loved the modern decor with hints of old world touches. Hotel conveniently close to ferry station which made arriving and leaving with bags easier. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Great location, short walk to St Marks Sq and most of the popular sights. Pleasantly surprised that the minibar and coffee facilities were complimentary. Quiet location with a lovely restaurant right next door. Good sized room, however the shower never heated up, the toilet seat was broken and communication via email was slow and sometimes not answered. Also I’m pretty sure our room was not the penthouse as advertised.

Overall a good stay. Very close to water taxi stop which is helpful when carrying luggage. Check in was a bit difficult and there is not someone there 24h so important to tell them when you plan to arrive. Our flight was delayed and was greeted by a very unfriendly man. However the peacock suit was amazing and highly recommend. Good location and amenities. The design and comfort of the room were great and overall would recommend the place. Just keep in mind it’s a boutique and not necessarily a regular hotel.

The place and location were quite nice. The biggest issue is the not working air conditioning. The room was 30 degrees at night which made sleeping, especially for our toddler, very difficult. I would not stay here again

The hotel was easy to find, a quick walk from the Giglio water boat stop. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. However, the air conditioning did not cool. We wrote a message to management through What’s App and they just answered that they checked the AC and that it was working. No one actually called us or stopped by the room to check the temperature. The temperature never went down in the room. Needless to say, we were not happy and it was uncomfortable.

The location of Palazzo Pianca was perfect - close to everything. We had a little difficulty finding it - the sign is very small. Everything about staying here worked well, though it does feel like a new property where some things are still being ‘figured out’. Front desk staff available during the day, and they helpfully arranged our water taxi back to the train station. We would stay here again - location is very convenient, room is new and clean, overall we had a good stay.

Beautiful hotel that has been recently renovated, very modern and clean. Superb location just off the main canal and on a quieter street, silent at night but just round the corner from restaurants and bars. Room had everything we could need and the staff were very friendly. No reception after 4pm but staff at linked hotel across the street were there if needed. Great hotel and will definitely return again someday!!

I was really disappointed in this stay. I travel extensively and was surprised at this place. Do not book the penthouse deluxe room if you stay here. It is on the top floor but it is a concrete tiny room with two windows high so you can’t see out. No safe, no hot water, no pressure at all. Couldn’t have a shower one day. Hairdryer didn’t work and they didn’t honor the gold exclusive benefit at all. Totally not worth the money they charge.

No hot water and a leak, not what you expect

Good location but over priced. We were on the top floor and the shower was very poor and took 20 minutes to get warm, when raised with hotel we were told that is what happens with old buildings… if hot water can’t be guaranteed then not sure how they can justify the room price?

On the last night we woke up to find the room floor had flooded, water coming from under the door. When reported the next day we were told somebody above us left the skylight open, no apology just a shrug of shoulders.

The place seems to be in working progress, they are doing a great job in the interior of the building, rooms are very nice for what I have see. Previous in Venice, I just didn’t like the front desk representative was not very friendly when I mentioned my silver status in order to get the VIP benefits, his reply I don’t know nothing you get nothing, when I asked how to get back to the station his reply was over there which could be anywhere but the place was nice I gave them that.

Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The room and bathroom were modern and had probably be refurbished fairly recently. The hotel is well-situated in a quiet square close to St Mark's Square but without the crowdedness and bustle of St Mark's Square. It was also well situated for Santa Maria del Giglio vaporetto stop from the airport or to the train station. The drawbacks were no conventional reception desk (because we arrived just after 3pm we received entry information by WhatsApp), and there was no safe in the room. Also, the hotel has no dining room. To be honest, if id realised breakfast wasn't included, i would have booked somewhere else.

We can’t say enough good things about our stay. The rooms were updated and comfortable, the staff was extremely responsive and helpful, and the hotel was located close to transit and all the attractions in Venice. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Clean and convenient

Convenient to the canals and Giglio 1. The room was rather small but clean and recently renovated. Our room had no view however. Finding it is a bit of a challenge but the staff was very friendly and helpful for any needs we had.
