The staff, both at the front desk and the Restaurant - especially the concierge and the maitre d - make the Hotel Saturnia a place to remember! We stayed 3 nights for our 50th wedding anniversary trip and could not have been treated better! We were so happy that we chose this place! They arranged the prerequisite gondola ride on the evening of our anniversary night, the dinner afterwards in the restaurant and the special attention we received there, was unimaginably wonderful!

This was a destination that we will never forget thanks to the excellent staff!

The location is amazing as well! Walking distance to anything you need, including all the high-end and luxury shopping destinations, as well as quaint small Italian bistros and bars!

We certainly look forward to coming back in the future! Grazie!

Our stay at Hotel Saturnia & International was truly exceptional.
The location couldn’t be better—perfectly situated near the train station, Old Town, and the lake, making it incredibly convenient for exploring everything the area has to offer while still feeling tucked away and charming.
The room was absolute perfection, with thoughtful attention to even the smallest details. We especially appreciated the complimentary in-room minibar and the included breakfast, both of which added an extra touch of comfort and value. Every aspect of the stay felt well-considered and guest-focused.
The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, blending classic elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Even with some updates taking place during our stay, the experience was never disrupted—the workers were quiet, respectful, and hardly noticeable.
The front desk staff truly stood out. Their recommendations, assistance with bookings, and clear directions were flawless and made navigating the area effortless. They also recommended National Fitness Center for an amazing massage and wellness experience. We had a massage there and also enjoyed the sauna, steam, and freeze room experience—such a treat—and you can purchase a day pass, which makes it very accessible.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, charm, and an unbeatable location.

The location of this hotel in Venice is truly spectacular, and the staff’s attention was excellent. The room size was great, and we loved almost everything about our stay. Unfortunately, after that one night, my children woke up covered in bites, legs, torsos, and even one eyelid swollen shut. I contacted the hotel, and they said they inspected and found no bed bugs. Of course, that can be hard to confirm. They suggested mosquitoes, but given the bites were under clothing and on the eyelid, I believe it was likely bed bugs. Whether I’m mistaken or not, I strongly advise guests to check mattresses, sheets, and seams before sleeping. After leaving, we had to send all our clothes and luggage to laundry, causing extra expense just to ensure we didn’t bring anything home. I share this so others are cautious, even if it was just a one-off.

This is an older unique style hotel. The rooms are very quirky and ours was a two story with a sitting area at the top! We were able to ride our taxi from the airport directly to the back door which was incredible. We loved the location. It is a beautiful street with high end shops and a gorgeous church at the end. Very convenient to St. Mark's and Doges Palace. All of the employees were extremely nice and helpful. Anytime we needed to find a boat ride, they would usually walk us down the alleys with us to find them. They have a free taxi to Murano which was also so nice and we were happy to buy something at the very high end studio. The breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. The hotel bar and restaurant were always lively and upbeat. The whole place just had a great energy and great convenient location.

The family run Hotel Saturnia & International is absolutely beautiful. We received a very warm welcome and our room was quiet, comfortable and elegant with a small canal below. The hotel is centrally located and the Concierge team were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was outstanding with many home made items and authentic Italian delicacies. We enjoyed having cocktails in the Caravellino bar. We were gifted a celebration cake (at breakfast) for a family event; so touching, and greatly appreciated. We can’t wait to go back and are looking at dates.

We had an excellent stay, front desk staff were very helpful to help with tours and transportation to/from station. Take advantage of the complimentary tour to Murano glass factory, then can arrange your transportation to Burano etc on your own (our choice).
The room was quite spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, and we each received our carafe of coffee each morning..we were very well taken of! We had a drink in the lounge, it was always quite bustling. Really enjoyed our stay!

My mum and I loved our stay at the Hotel Saturnia. It was the perfect spot for us, providing comfort and accessibility for my elderly mum. The hotel has a lift and is a very short walk from a water bus stop making it extremely convenient. We stayed in two rooms during our stay; first a superior double room and next a junior suite. Our first room was spacious, the beds and pillows were comfortable and we absolutely loved having a separate dressing area and bathroom. There were tea and coffee provisions in the room. Our second room was bigger, and had two bathrooms and large sitting area, however our preference was actually the first room - it was a great size for 2 travellers, well lit, and nicely decorated. It also retained the warmth in the room much better as it had several radiators, which the suite did not appear to have and we were cold the first night (electric heater provided the next night!). We couldn’t hear any external noise in either room. The hotel itself was traditional, and has a lovely rooftop and restaurant to enjoy. The highlight of the stay was absolutely the staff - everyone we encountered were friendly, helpful, kind and warm - a big big thank you to them. And a special thank you to the whole team at breakfast, which was our favourite part of our stay. Valeria was so lovely, remembered our drinks order every day, anticipated our needs before we even asked, and you could clearly see how much she cared about all the guests and about her team! Thank you all!

This hotel is perfectly situated in a vibrant neighborhood surrounded by high-end boutiques and is only a few minutes' walk from St. Mark’s Square. The rooms are small and cozy with a wonderful nostalgic charm. Our room featured a functional layout with closets on each side that of the bed and a clean, private bath. No ironing board or iron both are on the 1st. floor. There is a well-stocked minibar available for an additional fee. One of the highlights was the continental breakfast served in the downstairs restaurant; the staff there are incredibly friendly and attentive included with our stay. It is the perfect way to fuel up before a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We felt we were discriminated against based on a family member who is trans. I reached out directly to express my concerns. Their disappointing response is below. I contacted Expedia who said they will look into it but will not provide an update so it feels like they are not taking this seriously.

From the Saturnia:
\"We are talking about something that happened in 2025, that is, almost 10 months ago, am I right? It was a long reflection, I would say.

Our hotel does not discriminate in any way. We welcome people of all races, genders, and religions, and discrimination is not part of our culture. Our hotel staff is made up of people of all genders and religions. We have lived in peace with everyone since 1908, when the hotel was opened by my great-grandparents, and we have never received a message like this before.

Frankly, it is quite difficult for me to trace back to what happened in April 2025, but in any case, I can say with complete confidence that this can only have been the result of a huge misunderstanding. You must have misinterpreted something. I have no doubt about that.

We do not judge our customers in any way; in our eyes, we are all human beings/living beings, and that is the only thing that matters in our hotel always.

I don't think I need to add anything else, except to say that you should live with greater serenity, which is what we have always done with all our customers who have been coming from all over the world for more than a hundred years.\"

The breakfast was the best buffet we’ve had in Italy. The bacon was crispy. :) The bed felt like something we’d have in a Motel 6 - it was not comfortable. (We had the two twin option instead of a double - it’s possible they put a topper on when it’s a double bed.) The jacuzzi was ok - not hot, just warm. Jets were tricky.

Excellent hotel and restaurant. All the staff were wonderful and the room was spacious and clean (bath, mini bar and safe). Ivan and Valentino in the restaurant, in particular, were exceptional and catered to our needs very well, (we're interested in wine and have various dietary requirements including a nut allergy). The breakfast stood out, with a wide variety on offer and high quality.
The hotel is well situated for sights (but our of the bustle of the people) and the airport (esp. if you use the water taxi).

We really enjoyed this hotel and would like to come back.

We used the Turkish bath and steam room but we were a little disappointed regarding the temperature as it was a little cool for us.

My stay at this hotel in Venice was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The property itself is beautiful—charming Venetian architecture, elegant interiors, and thoughtful touches everywhere you look.

The location couldn’t be more perfect. Tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet only steps from gorgeous canals, cafés, and some of the city’s best sights. Waking up to the sound of the water and enjoying breakfast by the canal felt straight out of a movie.

My room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, blending modern comfort with classic Venetian style. The bed was incredibly cozy, the bathroom spacious, and the views… absolutely stunning.

What truly sets this hotel apart is the service. Every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help—whether it was offering local recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply greeting me with a smile. They made my experience feel personal and special.

This hotel is located on the fanciest street in Venice where all the high end couture shops are. We stayed in a quadruple family room with a separate room of twin beds for the boys. The room was great. My only suggestion is to bring converters as they don't have many USB or other charging areas in the rooms. The hotel has its own water dock if you want to come via boat.

I can't say enough good things about Saturnia Hotel. It is conveniently close to two vaporetto stops (Giglio and San Marco), so easy to reach with luggage. Our room was very clean, warm and spacious, with a sitting area and a desk. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent. plenty of options and wonderful, attentive service. All the staff were very professionnal and friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!

Loved loved this property! Walkable to everything in Venice and water taxi if wanted to go further. Terrific breakfast included and bar if you wanted to chill after a day of sightseeing.

We took advantage or the direct water taxi to the hotel. Was a great introduction to Venice. Mirko set this up. Mirko also gave us a coupon for a tour at the glass factory and we saw a demonstration of the Murano glass blowing. He is fabulous! Friendly and very helpful. He did get a bit frustrated with me as I wanted to use my phone directions to get to the water taxi. He encourage me to put down the phone and listen to him. Thanks for trying Mirko but I was nervous about navigating the streets to get to our tour in time.

Overall would definitely stay at this hotel again. Beds very comfortable !!

Staff was friendly and welcoming. The concierge was especially helpful, taking the time to walk me through everything on the map. Our room was very clean, and we loved that it had two full bathrooms and three sinks—a huge plus for a Triple room. Breakfast was included and offered a nice assortment of breads, fruits, and beverages. We also opted for the door-to-door taxi service; it was pricey, but definitely worth it since we were traveling with elderly family members. There were plenty of outlets in the room, but since it’s an older building, make sure to bring your own converter; I didn’t notice any USB ports.
A great plus for shopping: all the high-end stores are right outside the building as soon as you step out.

Cons:
– The hair dryer wasn’t great, so I recommend bringing your own.
– No USB ports available.
– Our room was on the 1st floor, and it was very noisy at night due to crowds outside near the shops. As for a room facing away from the main st.

This is the perfect hotel for exploring Venice! Very nice classy hotel, great buffet breakfast with Prosecco the staff will go out of their way for you! Was able to exchange cash for euros at a great price at the front desk at the front desk! Explained everything about Venice told us where to go, even took us on a beautiful complementary water taxi ride to a murano glass factory and back. Love the hotel, the big windows we could open at night and let the fresh air of Venice in our room Bar carvella hotel bar a great place to get a glass of Prosecco and just sit and watch people walk by the windows. We absolutely loved our stay. Situated right in San Marco where everything is.and Easy to get anywhere else you wanna go.

Breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff were super attentive and deserve acknowledgment. This hotel has a long family run history with efficient service from reception. We are happy we picked this hotel. It was clean and serviced daily. There was a lot of street noise which died down by midnight each night when it became peaceful and we slept with our windows and curtains open (mid October stay). The decor and room design is an eclectic mix of venetian glass art and art deco furnishing that I guess captures some of the essence of Venice. we used the 15 euro waterbus to access hotel from the train station, but don't get off at Rialto stop as Google maps will direct you. Go on instead to a much closer stop, which makes the hotel only about a 5 minute walk from the waterbus stop. Otherwise, the hotel can organise personal water taxi to their back loading area if the tides are right (but much more expensive). Once you are there, it is a close walk to St Mark's Square and so much exploring and dining options near and around the hotel. We saw lots of Venice with this hotel as our base.

I absolutely loved staying at this property. I would highly recommend to family and friends. The area is near a lot of luxury store, the there are plenty of food options walking distance. There is event a bar and restaurant on property. We would go to the bar to end the night most nights and really enjoyed that. The buffet breakfast was also good. Fresh baked pastries in the morning and all the other \"American\" continental type offerings. We really enjoyed our stay!

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, I like to specifically thank Mariko, Gianluca and Valeria as they were simply excellent at making everyone feel happy and comfortable.The location of the hotel was just perfect and it was very clean and comfortable.
I will definitely recommend it .

Staff service was exceptional. Beds were super command rooms were very very clean. There were many choices at the buffet breakfast from cold to hot foods. Above all, the service we received from the concierge Gianluca who provided us with recommendations to amazing restaurants for dinners and other advice.
Also at breakfast, Valeria went over and above making sure we had our cappuccinos super hot as we requested and ensuring that we were happy with breakfast. Ensuring that our needs were met. Overall the smiles and enthusiasm for their work made out stay at this hotel seamlessly comfortable.
Location was perfect. Set in the high end area and walking distance to canal, shops and Piazza San Marco.
Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Venice. Ideally located just off St Marks Square. The staff were fantastic as was the room a junior Suite which over looked the canals. Breakfast buffet was really nice as were the serving staff and reception staff. there was a real family feel to the hotel.

I was waken twice around 5 - 6am during my 8 day's stay by some men chatting/loading stuff? from the canal below. I told the hotel reception. They said that their staff don't start till 8am. So apart from that, stay was great. The room that I chose was big. The meals at both the restaurant and the bar were delicious. If you like the big brands, this is an ideal location for you. I like it for its location and not far from vaporetto stops, not for shopping though.

We recently stayed at Hotel Saturnia & International in Venice and overall had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable – just steps away from St. Mark’s Basilica and right in line with the designer boutiques. The hotel also offers a unique bonus: a private boat dock in the back, which made our trip especially convenient. We booked a private water taxi directly from the hotel to the airport, and it was seamless. They even offer a complimentary private boat ride to a Murano glass factory – no pressure to buy anything, and the boat waits for you to bring you back.

The service was excellent. When we experienced a noise issue on our first night (our room was located above their restaurant where music and guests were loud late into the night), I unfortunately developed a migraine and couldn’t sleep. I called the reception during the night, but they were fully booked and couldn’t move us immediately. The next morning, they relocated us to a quiet and beautiful room, which made the rest of our stay perfect.

Tip: When booking, request a room not located above the restaurant if you are sensitive to noise.

Breakfasts were delicious, the staff was attentive and professional, and the overall experience – despite the first night – was truly memorable. We would gladly stay here again.
