Beautiful room, great location and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch.

Only 2 issues … the curtains didn’t fully close so let some light in and there was a 300 euro security deposit that we wasn’t aware of - however this apparently has been added to their bookings now .

Overall would 100% stay there again

Wonderful spot!

Trying to figure out just where to stay in Venice is a challenge. Ca Maria Callas is in an ideal location. Super short walk to St. Mark's Square. Super short walk to the Rialto Bridge.

The hotel provides excellent communication, and is VERY prompt in returning all inquiries related to your stay. For late night arrivals, everything is seamless - from arranging the water taxi, to providing clear instructions for check-in, it's a breeze for the weary traveler!

I ADORED the view from the room - perfect! It's at a canal \"intersection\", so watching the gondolas and work boats from the small balcony is mesmerizing! You're behind Theater La Fenice - a must-see!

Above all, the room is clean and so comfortable. It's your haven and respite from sightseeing and the bustle of the city. I absolutely recommend Ca Maria Callas.

The concierge was very helpful. Easy to get into even though we came after reception closed. Had no problems communicating with the staff. Walls are a bit thin but that’s to be expected for an old building. Hotel was recently updated(3 years ago) AC worked great!

Absolutely wonderful property. We were fortunate enough to book a room with a Juliet balcony. One afternoon with a bottle of Prosecco that they gave us. We stood there and waved a couple hundred gondolas going by such a treat.

A Perfect Stay in Venice

From the moment we booked, the team at Ca’ Maria Callas were incredibly organised and helpful – even arranging a smooth water taxi transfer for us from the train station ahead of our arrival. Check-in was simple and efficient, and the hotel itself felt very safe and secure, which was reassuring.

We chose a canal view balcony room (because when in Venice…!) and it was absolutely worth it. The view was stunning – with beautiful décor, the constant buzz of canal life, and that unmistakable Venetian charm. I felt completely immersed in the magic of the city from the moment we stepped in.

The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the modern comforts. The air conditioning was genuinely excellent – a real lifesaver in the summer heat! There is a steamer in the room and also a British adaptor.

Although reception isn’t 24/7, they’re just a message away on WhatsApp and incredibly responsive. They happily arranged our water taxi to the airport, and the taxi company they use is reliable, prompt, and friendly.

We absolutely loved this hotel – it felt like the perfect base for Venice, and I honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we return.

Everything was very nice. I loved the canal view from my room. I highly recommend this place it’s in a really nice area and centrally located. It was nice and quiet. Glad I didn’t stay in Marks Square. This was a much better area. I would stay again if I return!

Five stars!! Amazing!! First, the staff was kind enough to reach out via What’s App (download if you don’t have) to check how we would arrive. Very helpful that they explained options since we were new to Venice. The room was one of the most romantic I’ve been. Super clean and unique - absolutely love the decor! The location was also very convenient. Minutes walk to brand shops and ports. We were so happy to have chosen this hotel and would highly recommend!!

Brilliant stay in a great part of Venice

Great hotel in a guest house style, there were 3 rooms. Bed was very comfy, location is perfect, it is a 5 minute walk from san marco but also quiet at night. We had a room overlooking the canal, which was great. The hosts were great, they sent us an email with what was going onnin venice during our stay so we were able to plan and they also sent us a list of recommended restaurants depending on the area of venice we went to. Great value for money in a lovely part of venice, would recommend highly. Rooms had plenty of space and bathroom was large with a shower. They also provided a plug in mosquito repellant.
Only thing to be aware of, is this room is up stairs and doesnt have any lift, its only 2 short flights of stairs but would recommend anyone with mobility difficulties to maybe chat to the hotel before coming.

It was very central, around the corner from the opera and not far from St Marks Square and the water taxi.
The room itself was OK and a lady later in the week, but the man who met us and was there the first few days was unfriendly, didn't understand us, messed up the payment we had asked him to split a certain way for the room and sat in the communal room smoking the whole time, so it stunk. We were given two coffee sachets and no milk for the whole week. He said no breakfast because of covid, but the coffee machine in the rom didn't work properly either. my friend did go into that room and use the kettle and the teabags in the end and they didn't charge us but no milk. My friend was very disappointed as it was promoted on the website as a much better property with better facilites and friendly staff. In reality it was a room and bathroom at the top of two flights of stairs.

Very easy check in, the reception desk was able to arrange a water taxi to pick us up at the airport. The water taxi dropped us off right at the hotel and we were greeted by the receptionist. We had the double room with canal room and the view was breathtaking. The room itself was a great size, the bed was a little uncomfortable but nothing unexpected. The shower was small but manageable. Overall we would definitely stay here again, great location to walk to everything too! Can’t wait to come back.

It’s in a very convenient location - a few minutes walk from restaurants,shops and the main attractions. Room very clean.

What we thought was going to be a quite area turned out to be quite noisy at times as boats seem to start up in the canal early am and sometimes return late pm. Coffee machine in the room never produced hot enough water (lukewarm).

Great location with few frills and fuss

Location is great; a few minute walk to San Marco square. Excellent directions were texted to me a few hours prior to arrival, which made walking to the hotel from the boat station very easy. The day I checked in, I was told I needed to pay 32 euro for the city tax, in cash only. I wasn't given notice of this city tax and I wasn't provided a receipt. Luckily, I had the cash on me but would've liked to have known about the tax beforehand. Also, why was I not provided a receipt? Also, the last day, we had to walk to the boat station in high tide with our bags, which means we couldn't roll them and had to carry them high above the water (which was mid-calf high in some areas). When we arrived at the boat station, we discovered that a porter service was available, which we were never informed of by any staff member (who ironically bid us goodbye when we left that morning so he knew we were leaving in high tide with heavy bags). Other than those two small items, the location is great, the room was clean and comfortable, and getting in and out was very easy and pleasurable.

Lovely venetian experience .

Located on a charming little square and with views of the canal right out of your bedroom window , a stay at this hotel will give you an authentic Venetian experience! Easy access to every location, comfortable enough bed,spacious bathroom with multiple features shower, varied breakfast choices including delicious pastries and cappuccinos, access to tourist guide books.Our host Marco and the persons in charge of the kitchen were very kind and accommodating! Now,our bedroom had an old house kind of smell,but after a few minutes we didn’t noticed it anymore;so,don’t be deterred by it, because the experience at this hotel is out of a fairytale!

Our room was very large with a lovely view of the canal. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower for two. There was a large selection for breakfast, eggs,bacon, pastries, coffee made to order, and fresh fruit juices. Check in and check out was a breeze.

The location was wonderful, checkin easy, staff friendly and helpful. The only reason I don’t give the hotel an outstanding review was the decor. The pictures show a very light and airy atmosphere, but the rooms we and our friends stayed in were covered in black and gold velvety wallpaper. This gave the rooms a dark feeling. It was completely different than the pictures on this site, so it was a little disappointing.

Lovely location, central yet tucked away. Loved the view over the canal. Room is comfortable (bed was a bit too hard but this wouldn’t put me off staying again). We were received nicely at the hotel and really appreciated the complimentary water and bottle of Prosecco. Netflix in lots of different languages and free WiFi. Coffee machine and good breakfast in the morning. I would be very happy to stay here again :)

This property was fabulous and exactly what I wanted in the location I wanted. Staff super professional and very friendly.

Only criticism is that they were doing lots of building work in the courtyard, I imagine because it’s very early season. It wasn’t disruptive or too much of an inconvenience but made for a not so pretty entrance at the time. Otherwise perfect

We loved it!

My partner and I LOVED the stay with Ca Maria Callas! The decor, the location, the comfy bed, the hospitality, the canal view outside the window - Everything was just perfect! It was our first time visiting Venice, the city itself is gorgeous, and the stay at Ca Maria Callas just made it even better. Instructions provided by the apartment to find the apartment were easy to follow. Only a 5-10 min walk from the water stop and only 1 bridge to cross over with our luggage! Room was lovely although shower cubicle very small. The host Kiara was fantastic and very helpful. Our luggage didn't arrive with us in Venice and Kiara was very helpful, calling the airport to provide exact location of the apartment. When we came back from dinner that night our luggage was in our room which was kindly put there by Kiara once it finally arrived. The location was great. Only a 10 min stroll to St Marcs square. Breakfast was good. Kiara made us a café late each morning which was great. Kiara called ahead to our car hire company to confirm their location and provided us with information etc on train lines on how to get there. Lucky she did otherwise we would've been totally lost! Overall a wonderful experience, with a fantastic room with a view, host and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Little Gem

This was our second visit to Venice and we wanted to stay within walking distance of the major attractions. This hotel is located in the San Marco siestre and is therefore in walking distance of St Marks square and all the sights of the area. The famous vaporetto (water bus) of Venice is nearby where you can hop on and tour the Grand canal, Accademia, the Lido and the other islands of Venice.
This hotel has only 3 rooms, and therefore it could probably be more accurately described as an upmarket bed and breakfast.
Do not stay here if you like your hotel luxury services such as a concierge, bar, gymnasium, room service or a pool. However, if you want a discreet, quiet hotel with a clean, generously sized en-suite room and a gorgeous view of a canal from your window from where you can watch the passing gondolas and listen to the gondoliers serenading their guests then this is the place for you.
The breakfast provided is continental but an with an ample selection. The owner Grazziano is polite and helpful.

The hotel was not too far from the cruise ship port so the location was central to the San Marco. The staff were nice and helpful. While we did have a nice view of the gondolas, our room was situated very close to it, so crowds of people are around at various times to listen to them sing. I recommend turning on your gps to find this place as there is no visible signage outside. I think we got the biggest room on the second floor as it was quite spacious. The washrooms were clean and renovated. The rest of the room had possibly original wood beam ceilings which added some charm. Overall a very pleasant stay.

A wonderful hotel in a convenient location.

We were two couples on our first trip to Venice. Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Hotel could be VERY hard to find as there is no signage at all. Current work on exterior of building means you can't really enjoy your view. Garbage boats in the morning are LOUD, so keep your windows closed. Excellent breakfast!

Authentic with Modern Comforts

My 11 year old and I enjoyed our 2 night stay in this charming bed and breakfast. The best of both worlds in this authentic Venice home with the comforts we are accustomed to (the much needed AC and modern bathroom amenities). It was a welcomed oasis from the busy and hot streets of Venice. My son was thrilled by the secret codes needed to access the courtyard then the building and the skeleton key for our room. We were serenaded by the Gondolas that past beneath our window. The breakfast was a generous spread of fresh pastries, pie, croissants, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, yoghourt, juices and coffee of course. It was a treat to be offered espresso or cappuccino as well. One of the nicest breakfasts I have experienced in any of the bed and breakfasts I have stayed at during my travels in Italy. Because of the heat and humidity we didn`t get to visit as much as we wanted so when I return to Venice I will definitely be staying here again.

Tiny hotel, only 3 rooms. Entryway was little beat-up looking but nice once inside hotel. Staff was very nice, rooms clean, awesome shower/bathroom. Close by to San Marco square. We had no trouble finding it with the directions we were given, however remember the street address and look for the house # over the door, as there is no sign for the hotel until you go inside the door to a little courtyard. The building was still covered by scaffolding as in some reviews so no view out main window of room, but you could still open it for air and could hear the awesome singing gondoliers outside. It wasn't really as big a deal as we thought it might be (however, work on the building was suspended at the time we were there so no noise!) We were also offered the mini bar for free for the inconvenience.

This was a small 3 room B&B. Very difficult to find so follow the hotel's directions very carefully. Hotel is not staffed except for breakfast and the specific time you plan to arrive. You are on your own. Shower leaked badly and soaked the floor every time. Very run down. It is near water bus stop to airport which was convenient. Breakfast was OK. Lots of privacy if that is what you are looking for.

Hotel was small itself, only three rooms, girls were lovely, very helpful, breakfast very nice. The only thing that i would suggest is to signpost this hotel better, it took us ages to find it as there was no sign where is it, there is only a number on the wall next to 5 others so it was a bit tricky. And we didn't see canal from our window as it was covered in scaffolding, our bad luck. General suggestion while booking hotel in Venice, don't bother with a window view as it is very common not to have it due to maintenance works so don't overpay. Overall, very good place to stay, close to St Marc's square.

Although hard to find, this room was in a great location. Do not be put off by initial sight from courtyard and stairwell. Once in the room all is great. Great bathroom with huge modern shower. Bed was firm, just as we like it. Staff spoke English and were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our 2 nights there.

We really enjoyed this small, 3 room hotel. The room was nice, the bathroom was nice... and the view would have been amazing had their not been scaffolding on the outside of the building during our stay. Although we wish we had know that the building was under construction during our stay, we were still quite pleased with the hotel. Thankfully there was no construction noise the 3 nights that we were there. This place works like a bed and breakfast, so if you are looking for 24 hour service this is not the right choice.

Reason I booked this hotel was that all rooms had canal views. When we arrived the building was covered in scaffolding and sheeting with no view at all. Would have been nice to know this before arrival as it was a major disappointment.

Great location-but hard to find

This is more of a B&B with 3 rooms for rent. Breakfast was served each morning and the girl there was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and opened directly onto a canal. Gondolas started going by around 10 a.m. and continued throughout the day until evening. Some had wonderful singers and/or musicians whose music carried through the canal. The room was very basic but was fine for 2 nights. For a longer stay I would have preferred something a little larger and more comfortable. This is very hard to find, you specifically have to go by the address because there are no signs. Wi-fi only worked in the breakfast area, not in our room.

It was more a B&B than a hotel, but it was lovely on the corner of a couple of canals so we got serenaded once the gondolas started.in a very quite area. The front door wasn't easy to open and you had to carry your luggage up a couple of flights of stairs as there was no lift, would certainly go back though.

Awesome Place!

The best way to experience Venice in my opinion is how the locals would and a bed and breakfast is the closest you can get. The room was nicely appointed and had exposed beam ceilings, beautiful fabric on the walls and amazing refinished hard wood floors. The room was very clean and the bathroom was HUGE by European standards with double sinks and an impressive shower. The view was incredible looking out onto a narrow canal that was well traveled with private gondolas. With our window open we could hear serenades throughout the afternoon. Also, the location is across from the opera so we could also hear the opera singers practicing during the early afternoon as well. The location was a little difficult to find but as long as you know the address number you’ll be fine. Don’t rely on maps and street names, just follow the address numbers until you find the gate to the courtyard and walk in. Look for a small laminate card on the door and ring the bell. From the train station, take Line 1 to the Giglio stop on the vaporetto water bus route, it’s the closest to the Ca Maria Callas.
Internet was a little spotty and we had to sit near the front door of our room to get good service. Internet was included so we didn’t complain. The breakfast was included as well and was a fresh assortment. here is a small refrigerator to keep your drinks cool and a TV with about 500 channels to watch.

Muy limpio y recien reformado, zona cerca de San marco para ir caminando , muy buena ubicación cerca de todo.
Lo que deverian cambiar son los techos de las habitacion que lo dejaron con el toque antiguo pero estan en mal estado.

Nice cozy hotel

Very nice location, pretty centrally in Venice 10 minutes by foot from Rialto bridge.
Not the easiest entrance to find, but nice neighbourhood.
Beautiful views of the canals, that were however slightly noisy on the weekday mornings.
Room was well equipped internet tv, steam iron, modern bathroom, coffee and tea. Everything new and nice.
All in all it’s a very nice hotel for experiencing Venice.

Det var et fuldstændigt enestående. Vi fik hjælp og anbefalinger til alt fra kunst og kultur til mad og by livet. Stedet kan på varmeste kan anbefales.

Vi have udsigt til en af kanalerne og blev vækket af sang og musik fra gondolerne.

O hotel é pequeno, porém extremamente confortável! Da nossa suíte vimos e ouvimos todo o repertório musical das gondolas, emocionante! A recepção é extremamente atenciosa e amável. O café da manhã é muito bom, um mimo! A localização é ótima. Super recomendo, voltarei com certeza e quero ficar na mesma suite!!

Zeker een aanrader

Tien minuutjes wandelen van het San Marcoplein, en dus ideaal gelegen. Zeer goede en vriendelijke ontvangst, vooraf ook zeer goede 'handleiding' over hoe daar te geraken van bv. de cruisehaven. Ontbijt is zeer lekker. Kamer was mooi en proper. Je kan de vensters gewoon openen, en genieten van de gondola's die onder het raam doorvaren, en waarop gezongen wordt. TV is zonder de traditionele alleen maar Italiaanse kanalen, maar wel Netflix voorhanden (en andere internet-tv). Zeker een aanrader !!
