For a solo traveler 1st time to Venice this low-budget hotel option will suffice. Its quite bare minimum in terms of hotel room amenities and quite small space even for a single person however all the basic things are here. Its lower budget therefore can only expect so much just be prepared for super small space inside room and hotel.

Excellent hotel near the center of Venice. It was clean, with regular room cleaning, and located in a quiet area. We received all the instructions by email and double-checked the correct entrance, as the one on Google Maps was incorrect. The hotel also has a nice lobby where we could make coffee or tea. My daughter and I had a wonderful time!

The hotel is on San Stefano square which is very conveniently located near the Academia Bridge. The Rialto Bridge is a 10-15 minute walk as is San Marco. San Samuele vaporetto stop is less than. 5 minute walk. The area is full of Osteria and Baccaria to eat.

The entrance does not have the name of the property on it, so it is easy to miss. I identified it by the phone number. Most checkins will be with pre arranged instructions so be sure to contact the hotel.

The interior looks like you would imagine for old Venice. It is charming and makes you feel like you are some place special and not a corporate hotel. Our room was small, but very clean and comfortable.

The hotel is small and does not have a front desk per se. Someone is around several hours most mornings, but they are very responsive at other times. I communicated via What’s App. They were very help with figuring out options to Fusina and printed luggage tags for our cruise.

First Class in every aspect

Ca' Morosini is the perfect place to stay when visiting Venice for pleasure. A small boutique hotel situated just off a quiet square it provides the visitor with just a short walk to St Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal and every other tourist landmark you may wish to visit.

Just 5 minutes walk from St Angelo boat stop (with a direct boat to and from the airport every 30 minutes), it is surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants. Breakfast can be enjoyed at an adjacent cafe right on the doorstep. In addition there is a quiet lounge on the first floor with complimentary tea, coffee and buscuits.

From the moment you enter the cool, classy interior Ca' Morosini makes you feel at home. The bedrooms are spacious, airy, quiet and like the rest of the hotel, spotlessly clean. Modern windows and traditional shutters ensure a silence with which to enjoy a good nights sleep. The staff are around each morning and evening and keen to advise on any questions or issues you may have.

Ca' Morosini truly added to the enjoyment of our short stay in Venice, and we recommend it 100%. Look no further.

Warning, Stay away! Stained bedding, Black Mold in bathroom, horrible customer service, and more. Nobody at the property, and they do not pick up the phone or call back

The Bed: The first thing we noticed when arriving was the blanket on the bed was covered in various stains (see photos on google review)

Bathroom: The bathroom has a lot of black mold (see pictures on google review) and doesn't seem like it gets cleaned thoroughly or regularly. The bathroom exhaust fan doesn't work, seemingly for some time now as it smelt musty.

Service: There was no breakfast service provided even though it was advertised. In fact the first two mornings we were there we were unable to locate the staff. Our room was not cleaned regularly. Following hotel policy after 2 days we left our towels on the floor to signal they were to be changed. We came back to our room to find them still wet in a pile on the floor. We also ran out of toilet paper, not convenient. I tried calling the hotel over 5x throughout the day as we could not locate any staff on site during the posted hours.

I asked why our room had not been cleaned when we finally saw the owner our last day , and she called us liars saying it had been. When I showed her the 2 pizza boxes from the 2 previous nights as proof it had not been cleaned, she suggested I take my own trash out to the city bins.

She then shouted caio caio bye bye waiving her hands in the air and not letting us speak. Worst customer service I've ever experienced

Beautiful, quaint hotel in the heart of Venice. Only a short walk from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto, perfect for short city-breaks. The staff are all very sweet and will do all they can to look after you. I should warn potential visitors that you have to book breakfast in advance as they do not have much room, but honestly, you are in Venice; go explore!

My experience here was very pleasant. Everything was as described. I actually never saw any staff in my one night stay however communication was through WhatsApp and very pleasant. Just remember in Venice that floor 1 is not the ground floor! I would definitely stay here again. Convenient location and old world Italy charm!

Great place to stay but be aware it will take some extra time to find- even with gps app. Also, if you arrive after 2 pm make sure you know the code to get in. Another guest let us use their phone to get check-in information because I had no idea how to get in the room after we finally found the hotel. The room was beautiful (a little dated) but in the middle of the night the ceiling started leaking. We put a bucket out and I left a message for the owner. Not sure if that is a regular thing but it made for an eventful night.

If you want to experience how the locals live, then this is the property to reserve. This is more of a Bed and Breakfast experience where the staff provides a continental breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30. The property is an apartment with a single bedroom and bathroom that is connected to a common living room area.

Felt really taken care of. Raphaela and her family were wonderful. Made check in very easy and attended to anything we needed including helping us work out which vaporetto to take to see what. Small but comfortable and very clean room. Excellent location on Campo Santo Stefano, just 5 minutes walk from the Sant Angelo stop. Away from the madness nearer San Marco but central to everything. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags upstairs. Breakfast was wonderful. Fresh rolls with all sorts of spreads and cornetto's and coffee. Would have no problem staying there again.

Stayed here after disembarking a cruise. Water taxi took us to about 150 yards from the hotel. Hotel is tiny and easy to miss, located between a snack shop and souvenir stand opposite St. Stanfano Church. The church square has 5 nice restaurants. Easy walk to St Marks Basilica, Doge Palace, Riatalto bridge, Gallery de Accedmeia and the Guggenheim. In short, perfect location!

Bad decision to stay here.

The reception is open till 2pm. I think this is tough since the place cab be hard to find. Also, my \"economy\" room's (175$ a night) lock had some problem, and key worked a certain way only, which meant that I was not able to let myself in easily. The manager accused me of generally being a moron for not being able to use the key. One of the towel bars came off when I tugged on towel from. the super cramped shower. I was accused of breaking it. Worst part was the room had some constant Italian radio piped in, and was noisy from street and super cramped. Not sure if I was in the room I paid for, since the last of the 3 nights I was moved to a better room which was actually ok.

What a good find this hotel was!
The location is close to all attractions (walking distance) and was really handy for us as we were traveling with our 9 month old baby. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with anything we needed.
The room was immaculately clean and bed was comfy.

Rafaella is awesome! She sent me a message ahead of time on how to get to the hotel with detailed, easy instruction so we found it right away. We were able to walk around to St Marks Square and Rialto. Hotel is nice & clean, safe location, some shops and restos around. Theres a small bar on the ground floor but i slept without problem from being out the whole day. Had a short, wonderful time in Venice overall.

We had a great experience here! It started before we ever got there with the owner texting the day before to make sure we knew how to get to the hotel from the train station. She gave us (in English) perfect and exact directions to the door of her place. Everything was nice, clean and we absolutely loved our room. I don't think every room has this, but we had a terrace off of our room overlooking a square in Venice - just gorgeous. Our 5 year old was traveling with us and there was plenty of room for him. There was a twin bed along with a double bed in the same room, but still adequate room to move around. Breakfast was provided the next morning and it was an assortment of breads, pastries, juice/coffee. We didn't have to catch a train until 5pm the afternoon we checked out and the owner allowed us to leave our luggage with her so we could continue to tour the city without toting luggage around. We were impressed and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful atmosphere and decor throughout, though some furniture needed replacing in our rooms, including mattress & pillows. We had top floor with terrace overlooking plaza. Incredibly surprised how nice it was!

We had heard that many of the hotels in Venice are expensive and be careful to get one with a washroom in it, or you may have to share. We looked around a bit, a few months in advance and this seemed to be reasonably close to St. Mark's Square, but not too close. It is about a 10 minute walk and the view from the 3rd floor balcony of the square was terrific. This is only my second review on Expedia and I've seen 26 countries in my lifetime. Glad we stayed here!

The rooms are as beautiful as shown, but they are smaller than they look. We greatly enjoyed the location on San Stefano Square which became our home ground. We ate at a different restaurant each night, which featured great local cuisine at a good price. The B and B is well located, just five minutes from Academia and about 15 minutes to San Marco square. San Stefano Square has many Venetian residents; it is nice to see children playing in the square and mothers pushing buggies. A major feature of Ca Morosini is an awesome coffee machine. Each morning you can request a latte or capuchino which arrives fresh at your table within a minute! San Stefano itself is very large and interesting church, and a active center for the square.

From a text message from the Owner/Manager the day before we arrived to say what our checking in details were. I text back to ask if it was the right stop on the Grand Canal we had and they text back with instructions how to find them. We were greeted by Rafaella who was most welcoming and asked if we needed help with our plans for our stay. She was informative and assisted us on where to visit, what transportation to take and also where to visit. The chamber lady was friendly and even though we only could speak in our own language she was very helpful.

A wonderful Venice experience

Ca' Morisini is a wonderful way to really experience Venice. It's more like a B&B but without staff on premises 24 hr. Decor is very Venetian and it provides a nice room with terrific access to San Marco sites (St Marks and Rialto Bridge are an easy walk). There is a small square with bakery and restaurants just outside the door. We loved it and felt it really enhanced our Venetian experience!

This is a fabulous guest house. It's not a 5 star hotel, and we didn't expect that. The rooms are done out very well, the amenities are absolutely what you would expect from somewhere with only 6 rooms. It is perfectly located, the staff/owners couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and the croissants especially nice. A real home from home.

Stayed in an economy room in off-season. Price is good, but for paying just a little bit extra (25 EUR more), other hotels offer suite, which is 3 times better (more space, hearty breakfast, 24hr concierge etc) . Once again, I am talking about the winter time, not sure it is the same during the summer.

Unique wallpapers, carpets, lamps and ceilings make this place to stand out. Bathroom and room were pretty small. Place has an Italian breakfast. You may need to have another breakfast outside to give you the energy you need for waking around the islands. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Location is great too.

This place gives you pretty unique feel and worth checking out.

Fantastic Location!

There were many pluses about this guesthouse, the main one being its location in Campo st Stefano.

Our room was very nicely decorated and we had good amenities, kettle, fridge, hairdryer....

Sadly the bed was very
Uncomfortable,it was supposed to be a double but we had 2 poor quality mattresses that kept moving apart, and we could feel everything through them. Painkillers every morning!

The breakfast was very dull, bread and a doughy croissant, no alternatives, some fruit or yoghurt would have been welcome.

The staff/owners were charming and friendly.

Would stay again if the bed was changed

The hotel is difficult to identify. There is only a door between 2 souvenir shops with a small sign. Check in is limited to 2pm or you must contact the hotel for instructions. Not easy in a foreign country without a cell phone or reliable internet access. I think the directions should be from the Accedemia Bridge. Very easy to find from there. The current directions are too involved for a newcomer to Venice.

Very good location but having to carry the suitcases up to 2nd floor and back without help was not good. There is no lift and the room was very small with the double bed right in the corner with access only to one side. Most important though, THERE IS NO FIRE ESCAPE that I could find which is extremely worrying.

Nice hotel in the heart of Venice

Albeit a bit small (to be expected in the heart of Venice), the room was lovely and the decor very venecian! The bathroom was clean, the beds were comfortable and, most important in the July heat wave, the air conditioning worked very well. We slept very soundly without any noise disturbing us. Raffaela was very sweet and helpful, she also makes one good cappucino!

From our window, we had a view of an old church right across the narrow street, and onto piazza San Stefano on the right where you have restaurants and shops, without huge crowds. Less than five minute walk to piazza San Marco.

It was also very easy to get to the hotel from vaporetto stop S Angelo. When we got there (slightly after checkin time--we had communicated that to Raffaela before arriving), there was an envelope waiting for us containing the keys and relevant information. The a/c had already been started in our room so it was very comfortable right away.

I recommend this place.

Traditional option for a short stay in Venice

I had only one day in Venice - not nearly enough - and the Ca' Morosini was a good choice as it was close to several sites I didn't want to miss - including the Teatro la Fenice. Easily accessible by vaporetto Line 1 (the directions on the hotel website are perfect), Campo Santo Stefano is less crowded than other areas, and there is more a feeling of being a \"resident\" rather than a tourist. The hotel décor is in traditional style; as with most hotels of this vintage, the A/C is not as efficient, and the humidity in Venice in June is high. Maybe a larger room on a lower floor would have been a better choice. The check-in was handled easily, even though I was late getting to the hotel and the reception had closed, they had my key waiting for me. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant and welcoming. The excellent Trattoria da Fiore is just around the corner, and Santo Stefano - the church across the alley is gorgeous - not to be missed.

Old world guesthouse at north end of Plaza San Stefano - right off the Grand Canal. Request the Pasani room - great corner guest room with great views.

The guesthouse is very much a B&B. Hotel staff are only around in the morning and early afternoon - makes for a very private experience.

A First! Never in 35 years of travel!

When we arrived at the hotel in the morning, we were told we could leave our bags and come back in the afternoon and our room would be ready and a key would be left in an envelope in the downstairs lobby. No issue yet, other than if you have heavy baggage, don't expect any help dragging it up the stairs. Upon coming back mid-afternoon, we discovered an envelope had been left, but for another guest and not us. We looked around the property and my wife found the room attendant getting dressed and about to leave, at which time she told her about our predicament. We were able to get a key luckily for the room and put our luggage inside.. small room, bed as hard as a rock,TV did not work, AC was inadequate, and the room noisy when the window was opened. Anyway, we had one night, and even though very expensive, we soldiered on and left early the following morning before the staff arrived. The real issue started when I emailed the hotel after and asked what had happened regarding our key that was not left in the lobby as promised. This started a series of accusations from the hotel owners, and offers of a refund if I would not write a negative review. I was accused of essentially lying, complaining too much, and in essence shown a disdain that I've never experienced before in many years of travel to dozens of countries, and hundreds of hotels. Sadly, it initiated a diatribe of insults from the management and owners that was rude and offensive. Customer service ?????

Honeymoon in Venice

It was a unique experience. Being more in tune with traditional hotel chains, I had a mini freak out when I realized that we had arrived after 2pm and had not contacted them. The bed was 2 twins pushed together, except they slid apart during the night and both mornings I found myself waking up tucked between two mattresses. Also, the shower drained slowly, but the staff didn't speak enough English for me to mention it. The location made it all worth it and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

The hotel is like a four star guest house which is perfect for Venice.
The location is good in walking distance to San Marco square and Rialto bridge. San Stefano square is surrounded by good osteria's and restaurants. The owner is lovely and very helpful and knowledgable. Would recommend.

Convenient place to stay.

This B&B is located a short walk from the Grand Canal, making it easy to access from the train station. The hotel was located in a large square with many shops and restaurants. The owner warmly greeted us upon arrival, and was nice enough to upgrade us to a larger room for a few of the nights during our stay. Breakfast was served promptly at 8:30: orange juice, coffee of choice and assorted breads and croissants.

The internet was quick and reliable -- much better than some of the other places we stayed at in Italy.

Nice hotel

We enjoyed our stay at Ca' Morosini this April. This is a lovely boutique place with great staff that makes you feel welcome in Venice. Our room was comfortable and kept clean. Location is great as not only it is just 10 min walk to piazza di San Marco but it also is situated on a small piazza itself with a couple of good restaurants and close to great galleries with modern art exhibitions. French breakfast was served in a designated area on each floor which means you enjoy a quiet breakfast with just two/three tables for each floor (so no noisy canteens!).

Pay a little more and have a better time

Hard to find, take a taxi don't try to walk from the train station. Key broke off in the door. Air condition did not work. Key broke off in door, was locked out of room for multiple hours until we broke in with no assistance from hotel. Mixed information about when checkout is, was rushed out of our room. Had to miss Easter mass (the whole reason we came to Venice). Next time I will pay a little more so I can enjoy my stay

Nice hotel close to San Marco

We stayed here 4 nights. It was a very lovely hotel,near San Marco. The location was great and walkable.We had a double superior room,but the beds were 2 single joined together.this was not a problem while you are in Venice,a very romantic city. There was a vaporetto station very near the hotel. So from Venice airport you can take the vaporetto and for 1 hour you would be in St'Angelo stop, which is 2 min from the hotel. I recomand Ca' Morosini hotel.

Great guest house

Such lovely staff. Near to everything but not in the most touristic area. Very close to restaurants and cafes and gives you the freedom to come and go whenever. Nice room, very clean and tidy and classic italia style decor. Wish the hairdryer was a little bigger but that is the only bad thing i could possibly stay. Really want to return and would be using this hotel again. Perfect.

Nice B&B, great location

Ca’ Morosini is a guest room: that means that there is no 24h reception. And that’s all! Everything else is there: spacious room with a comfortable bed (We had booked an economy double room. We just couldn’t control the heating and the room was quite hot), private clean bathroom with toiletries, wi-fi connection that worked almost perfectly. Rafaella (the owner) is very friendly and helpful, but the star of Ca’ Morosini is Bolivar –a 2 year old cocker! The location is great: 1) it’s close to a vaporetto stop (5 min walk from San Angelo) and you only have one bridge to cross 2) Rialto bridge and St. Marco sq are a 10 min walk and Ponte del’ Accademia is only a 5 min walk 3) Campo San Stefano sq is a quiet, nice square with good amenities.
Two cons: 1) there is no elevator (but that’s pretty usual in Venice) 2) the breakfast is quite poor: one croissant, two breads, butter and jams and a cup of coffee.
Overall, nice place; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and to stay here next time

Lovely

A wonderful boutique hotel in a fantastic location. We are so glad that we decided to stay here and the price was good too (end of November). It was difficult to control the temperature (mostly too hot) but everything else was fine. The breakfast was simple but adequate to get us going in the morning (just juice, bread and conserves).

Nice hotel, very close to Piazza San Marco.

The staff was amazing, very helpful and always willing to resolve any issues. The hotel was not only close to Piazza San Marco but to the nearest port St. Angelo. This was very convenient to travel to the airport and other parts of Venice.

Very clean rooms, daily service. I'll stay here again, highly recommend.

Great location. Very friendly staff and owner. Excellent wifi. Clean bathroom but small. Unique style rooms. Older flooring and furniture. The television remote did not work (though we didn't bother asking for it to being fixed as we were not in the hotel a lot). Blankets are thin & older but we noticed a flannel blanket was left in our room closet the next day when it rained in Venice. No elevators but doable with a large luggage.

Nice bed and breakfast Hotel centralized in Venice

This was a wonderful hotel we stayed at. We're on our honeymoon in Italy and decided to drive up to Venice from Tuscany for one night. The owner was very nice and the staff was great! Room was clean and spacious. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel (St Mark's Square is a 5 to 10 minute walk). Plenty of restaurants next to the hotel. We loved our stay in Venice!

Nice hotel friendly staff only minor problem was the breakfast! Croissant, coffee and a roll with some jams! Not my idea of breakfast, but I do understand that we wasn't at home, just think a little bit of extra effort, like some cereals or cheese and meat to go with rolls like most continental breakfasts.

Fantastic family hotel in right budget in San Mark

Great hotel with all the amenities very close to all the spots in Venice. Hotel is next to all imp boat stations - st angelo and accamedia. So transport in Venice and from airport is very easy. Highly recommended. And yes I also got a room upgrade.

Excellent location close to all sights of Venice

Lovely staff and very helpful. Email received with water bus information from airport, the nearest water station stop and 5 minute walking directions to hotel plus Information on check in. Map given for finding our way around during our stay.
Information given on checking out and we were able to leave our suitcases at the hotel on the last day as had an evening flight.
The decoration of the hotel was a little tired but this added to the ancient charm of Venice. Our bed had a lovely old carved bed head and we had a small balcony with seating overlooking the square with a glimpse of the Grand Canal.
