Booked into hotel’s adjacent annex—truly an extraordinary property. Absolutely beautiful 5-star equipped tastefully furnished nearly 700 sq ft apartment with separate rain shower and sauna.
Staff, including the owner, were truly welcoming and gracious. Enjoyed amazing cooked-to-order breakfasts in enclosed outdoor garden, along with a delicious selection of pastries. The owner surprised us with a delicious fruit tart sporting a single lit candle at breakfast on my wife’s birthday—we hadn’t breathed a word about it, but I guess her passport offered the clue.
Desk clerk provided excellent dining info and booked tables at terrific restaurants within walking distance.
Early checkout time to catch our flight was made tolerable by the provided box breakfast. The hotel arranged our departure water taxi and luggage porter. Overall a fantastic experience and worth every penny.
Our only hitch involved negotiating the steps between the water taxi stop and the hotel when we arrived. Next time we’ll arrange a porter to meet us.

What a beautiful hotel in such a walkable location of Venice. We were only 3 min from the water ferry/taxi drop off, and in the heart of everything but not too busy! The staff was amazing and helpful. The breakfast was so special and eating on the terrace was peaceful and the perfect start to the day.

Lovely 2 night stay in summer
Beautiful and very lavishly appointed room. Hotel located on a quiet street 5 minutes walk from lots of nice restaurants and shops and only about 10-15 minute walk from St. Mark's square. We didn't get to experience the breakfasts on site due to early bookings but they packed us up lovely take away breakfast bags. Would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Venice.

Small boutique hotel, which goes out of its way to make your stay comfortable. Owner and staff are very friendly. Note, if you want a canal view, you have to be sure to book the room with that view. It is a very small canal in the back of the hotel. Location is good, Venice is a very walkable city so you can get from the hotel to pretty much anywhere within a 15 to 20 minute walk.

Excellent hotel. Great location. Very kind, helpful and thoughtful English speaking staff. I corresponded with them via email from the US even before I headed to Italy and they helped me with transfer options from the airport and making dinner reservations for me. The room was beautiful with so many amenities. But the thing that really stood out was the absolutely AWESOME and AMAZING homemade breakfast spreads they had each morning, included! Their food was outstanding. I asked and was hoping that they also did dinner, but it is just breakfast of various bakery delicacies, fruits, tarts, cheeses, desserts, fresh squeezed juices, coffee ofc, AND on top of that, they will make any type of egg, pancake, waffle, etc. I was stuffed the first day with just the great spread stuff. Truly a gem of a hotel. I would definitely stay again and will encourage my family to do the same.

Hotel Corte di Gabriela is a beautiful little hotel which I would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Venice, the hotel is historic building that has been furnished with a modern touch that compliments the building. With the hotel being a smaller property the service we received felt more personal, staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing, breakfast was not the usual fair, the hotel owner who was also the chef produced something different every morning of our 5 night stay, I asked him if he enjoyed cooking, his response was that it was his hobby and something he really enjoyed doing, the food he produced was of the highest quality. The hotel was situated in an excellent area, within easy walking of major sights, whilst also being in a lovely area and also in a quiet area. I would highly recommend if visiting Venice to stay at this hotel.

This hotel was truly unique. Boutique hotel with beautiful decor and so much charm. Michelin breakfast served by the chef/owner Gianluca. We had to leave very early on our departure day and were going to miss breakfast, but they arranged to greet us in the morning with coffee ready and a packed breakfast for us to go. From the chef greeting us every morning at breakfast. To the in-room amenities. Help with dinner reservations. The garden area is so wonderful and we loved just having a glass of sparkling wine and enjoying the peace. I would absolutely stay here again without reservation with one change - we did book a canal view room, which was not worth it in our opinion. If you looked out the window and literally straight down, you might see it. For the hotel - my only recommendation on the room was adding areas to charge phones, etc on the bedside tables. The room was very clean and modern, and included all of the necessary amenities as well as many other small additional perks that made our stay even more special, like some delicious welcome cookies made by the chef and owner. The included breakfast exceeded all of our expectations, with an exceptional spread of juices, savory pastries, breads, tarts, jams, and made-to-order omelets. Between the knowledgeable staff, exquisite facilities, delicious breakfast, and central location - you can’t go wrong with a stay at Hotel Corte di Gabriela.

This is THE gem of Venezia! Would gladly stay here two weeks of the year if I could, but alas parting is upon us! However, when I return there is no other accommodation that will ever be necessary! Corte de Gabriela was attentive to our every need before, during and after our stay’ Sorina, Massimo, Manola and Signor Luca provided incredible service. We were home and felt like family! There is a transport stop near the hotel, with a 7 minute walk (maybe shorter if you are younger and more agile) only one bridge (my mother sister and I did NOT travel light, and yet the walk was pleasant and easy for us). We walked everywhere no need for water taxis - everything was close Plaza San Marcos, the Rialto Bridge , etc etc etc.
Location is everything the hotel is near restaurants and shops and destinations-
But tucked away for quiet as well. Venezia has been the best and most favorite part of our mother-daughters winter vacation! Grazzie Mille!

I visited Hotel Corte di Gabriela with my mom and brother during our Italy vacation. We only stayed here one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was perfect from the location to the rooms to the cleanliness to the decor to the staff. All of the staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. We love Massimo and the owner who cooked for us like we were guests in his home. This made it super special. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Venice and we will for sure come back here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Venice and had a great experience at this boutique hotel. We were checked into our room immediately upon our arrival and the staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is near the vaporetto S. Angelo stop. Everything is very walkable from the hotel. The hotel room size was good for Venice and it was updated and modern. It had everything we needed including a large bed. I would definitely recommend if you like to stay in smaller hotels with great locations where they know their guests. The owner is a chef and provides a wonderful breakfast for the guests every morning. We received made-to-order omelets and they were excellent. Great choice and we would definitely come back again!

Best Stay I ever had.
This stay was absolutely fabulous, from the moment we arrived to our departure. It made me appreciate boutique style hotels,(I usually go for the chain hotels) with the touch of pampered elegance, while still being friendly and inviting, even offering umbrellas for the rainy days of Venice (which were many) . A seating room complete with grand piano you could play, Murano glass wall mural & a full dress costume from the Carnival of Venice (more stunning than I thought ). It's compact but the room was quite large & full of amenities, beautiful rain shower, bidet, walk in closet, robes, safe, mini refrig, nice tv, small canal from our window ,tour books & very comfortable bed & a few cookies. But nothing compared to the breakfast which was prepared by the staff and cooked entirely by the owner every morning. I had nutella crepes and my husband had fresh poached eggs with a sliver of fried sardines that added that venetian touch. And I won't tell you about all the pastries the owner made. pear tart, orange muffin, chocolate pear mini cake, cream puff...delicious. I'd go back just for the breakfast. I cannot forget Renato at front desk who helped us throughout with the friendliness of a family member and even with arrangements in the middle of the night to get a water taxi because of a family emergency and we had to cut short our trip. I'm just happy things worked out well and this was the impression of which I take home from Venice. Thank you, Hotel Corte di Gabriela.

I can not say enough good things about this stay! The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location. It's nestled into a cute little alley on a small canal, only a couple minutes walk from the grand canal. I was worried about getting lost on the way there, but the hotel provided us with excellent step by step instructions before we checked in and it was a piece of cake (even though we were worn out from traveling). The room was incredibly comfortable--best bed we slept in during the whole trip--and it had all of the essentials. The room was also gorgeous, with a beautiful ceiling fresco. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. We stayed here over my birthday and, while we didn't make note of that in our reservation, they must have figured it out through my passport and made it extra special for me with a delicious apricot cake during breakfast! It was incredibly sweet; they make you feel like family! I wish I could rate this hotel even higher. We will definitely be back!

The hotel owner yells at his guests and makes them cry. All he cares about is money.
He ruined our trip and had the audacity to not refund me for the first night despite NOT providing the accommodations i had reserved. We reserved an annex apartment for three women. We were informed the AC was down. To be accommodating, when you offered that one of us stay in the room with fans, I agreed. However when I got to the Annex apartment without the air conditioning in June in venice, It was impossible to sleep there. I kindly let him know that I could not sleep there and that I would stay with my sister and cousin who were given a smaller room in the hotel. He was very upset that I refused to stay in the apt. When I asked for a refund because I could not sleep there, he offered free breakfast only then and when I disagreed because that is not what I had originally paid for, he started yelling at me. He then said he would refund me the first night and took my credit card to do so, but upon check out, he had charged me for all three nights. After he made me cry, he offered to separate our party for the first night, leaving my sister to stay alone in a hotel seven minutes from ours and to take her own carry-on luggage there. Whether he thinks that that is an equal exchange for the original apartment we had reserved that cost significantly more is beyond mE. I wish I had never stayed here.

Stayed for 3 nights for anniversary, this was a surprise trip, hotel staff (Sonia and Serena) managed everything for me in the best possible way. They helped me with booking restaurant and boat taxi, our flight was delayed but Sonia informed restaurant and she was waiting for us at 22:30 to ensure we are set to go on our anniversary dinner smoothly which we did thanks to them!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Overall, the hotel was great. Our room was on the ground floor and it is fairly close to the reception and you can hear people talk at the reception desk. When people on the street passed by the hotel, I could hear them very clearly, so ot might be an issie for some people who are light sleepers. Our room was a bit more run done in comparison to the pictures on the website. Other than that everything was great. Breakfast was exceptional for such a small hotel. Staff was very pleasant and the room was clean.
