Excellent stay at Ca’Pagan. I did extensive research on hotels in the area and this one is the best for a reason. Quick note that if you choose the suite, then you checking into the Ca’Pagan location on google maps but you will then be staying less than 5 minutes away in the San Maurizio Luxury Suite (Fondamenta Narisi, 2739, 30124 Venezia VE, Italy). Super easy to get to from train station to original ca Lagan location via ferry. Then from the second location back to train station you’ll need to walk to the #2 line near Rialto Bridge (4 bridges). We loved our stay at this hotel and were very thankful for how quiet, safe, and secure it is. The host is incredibly kind and available via WhatsApp for any questions. The breakfast was spectacular and we loved it. Thank you so much for a great hotel!

Check in was very easy, greated by David who gave us a map and some suggestions of places to visit and eat. We didn't eat at the recommended places but found some fantastic eateries such as Ristorante La Feluca and Ristorante Da Raffaele. Seafood and Steaks to die for, and never had better Tiramasu. The hotel is situated 1 minute walk from the Boat stop of San Samuele on the Number 2 Route and is only 5 minutes walk from Sant Angelo which is on the Orange route to and from the airport. The Hotel room, acessed via a door to the side of the hotel and up a 15th century set of stairs was large enough for a 4 night stay. The shower was snug but not an issue. It was very well prepared, clean and beautifully decorated. We did have a bit if an Ant infestation but completely nobodys fault. To their credit it was dealt within hours of reporting it and the Ants moved on. The hairdryer, in the room, did not work, but a standalone hairdryer was sourced and can't fault the speed of resolving this. It was our 25th wedding Anniversary and on returning in the afternoon we had flower petals on the bed and a lovely note. Thankyou! Room had a safe and pay for mini bar. Breakfast was a cold buffet, more than enough with Pastries, cold meats, eggs, juices, fruit, yoghurts and coffee, tea. Service and attention was perfect. David, Lia and the rest of the team were excellent, hotel in great location only minutes from the busier streets and squares, but quiet hotel. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

What a wonderful place to stay! We were staying in the annex at San Maurizio which was less than a 10 minute walk to San Marco. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and friendly. We loved it! Would highly recommend.

The property was situated just off the Grand Canal. Conveniently located the 2nd stop via water taxi from the rail station. This 15th century building was one time a single residence. Appointed to the period and conveniently located to many Venice sites. David the manager did an amazing job at suggesting and making dinner reservations, booked a private city tour and directions to many sites. If we had questions he was reachable by the “What’s up” app.
Morning continental breakfast was delicious and served just off the lobby and in the outside court yard.
Definitely would stay on our next visit to this beautiful and amazing city. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay during our Venice visit! Highly RECOMMEND!!

The hotel was a beautifully restored and decorated 500 year old property. The staff was very welcoming and rooms were clean. The breakfast, breakfast room and courtyard were lovely. Lea and staff greeted us with a smile and good food every morning. Plenty of food options can be found within quick walking distance to Stafano Plazza Also this hotel is literally steps from the S Sameule vaparetto stop. Keep in mind it doesn’t pick up in the morning until 10 and no service to it after 8pm. Make sure you know how to make your way to the hotel from the next closest stop. Overall definitely a five star property, location and experience.

The hotel was beautiful - bedroom very small with little or no room around the bed but it was very pretty. However when we arrived the air on wasn’t working we reported this and staff at 2pm as we arrived - by 7 pm they confirmed the sitcom was t working at all in the building - our bedroom was 38degrees / we asked for a fan and they had none - could not sleep and ruined our anniversary. It was fixed the next day which was good- but it was so depressing I wanted to get a flight home- we were so tired that we barely did anything on the remaining day

Excellent location - we were placed in the annex which is a short walk away from the main hotel, but this worked out perfectly because we were so close to a lovely view point just a minute away (on the right of the entrance). Excellent staff. AC was not the best, sometimes it would work really well and other times would still feel a bit warm despite it being on the lowest temperature. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Our experience at Ca’ Pagan was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in they made us feel so welcome. The rooms are individually decorated in traditional Venetian style so it feels special rather than cookie cutter. The staff was next level, I cannot say enough about them. All so lovely and helpful. The restaurant that was booked for us as a recommendation was incredible. It was predominantly a fish restaurant but well worth it. We were given a massive breakfast with a brilliant choice, sadly we couldn’t eat it all as it was so much. The room was immaculate. To find fault in it is difficult….the tv didn’t work but who needs tv when you are in Venice!

Lovely boutique hotel. We stayed in the Casanova triple room. Room is on the smaller side but sufficient enough for three people to fit comfortably. Room/bedding/shower were all very clean. Only complaint is that on our last night an alarm in the lobby was going off all night but there was no staff there to silence it, which you could hear a little bit from the room. Absolutely loved this hotel! felt so cozy and the staff were lovely. Great breakfast, and lovely rooms. The only challenge was charging our phones etc., as when we were out the electric cut out due to key leaving room. It would have been great to have the plugs still work! But that was nothing really. Super close to everything - a ten min stroll to St Marks Square and the dock is virtually next door. Will be back!!

We had a delay with our flight and showed up after regular hours, but the front desk concierge stayed in touch with me over WhatsApp and was kind enough to wait for us to arrive. It was so nice of her to do that and a huge relief after a long travel day. The rooms are on the smaller side (which is typical for Venice) and had a really cool style. The piazza nearby was the perfect spot for dinner or a drink and everything else was very walkable. We loved our stay.

Was very disappointed with the staff and service. I rang the front door bell for 45 mins and no one would open to let us in. I had to get someone to call their after hours line to let us in even though it was only 2pm and no one was at the reception. The lady that arrived was rude and not at all apologetic. The hotel would not turn on the A/C and made excuses saying Italy had closed the A/C since winter is starting which was not true as I was in Rome and Florence few days ago and we had the A/c on and after Venice we went to Milan and we had A/c there as well. Breakfast was not included and they asked us to pay €10 per person for some mediocre continental breakfast. This might be Expedias fault as well because on the website it seems like food service is included. The bathroom had a tub to shower but no shower curtain. I complained to the manager about all the issues and they were not at all interested in making us feel welcome and resolving issues, instead he told me to leave and go somewhere else since I am not happy in this hotel. As far as I am concerned this is not how you treat your guests.

Room was advertised with ac but it was hot all night, room was infested with mosquitos got bitten up all night and couldn’t sleep because it was so hot, there was dust on all the light fixtures which is unacceptable especially with COVID 19 around, owners charged us extra for checking in past 930 meanwhile they told me that at 1030 which didn’t make much sense overall terrible experience oh and there were stray cats walking in the building during check in very strange…

Really good place at the center of San Marco, 2 minutes from a boat stop. Everyone is very friendly and put a lot of attention to details. They discovered it was my wife's birthday during the stay and offered us a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy late afternoon on the terrace.

We stayed for three days to celebrate our wedding Anniversary, and Ca'Pagan was a great place to stay.
We were in a superior room that was not directly in the main area of the guest house but next door and above the Ca' Pagan lobby. This did not make any difference at all as there was a sitting room next to our room that was only for use by us and the other room next door, and a knock on the main door was all that was needed to be let into the lobby.
The room itself was very clean and well presented with a big en suite shower room, there was a safe in the room as well as a fridge, ideal when we were here to keep our water cool, the air conditioning system was very quiet but very good as the weather was very hot and muggy during our stay, the bed was a little hard but thats how i like it (better for your back anyway)

A quiet hotel at the heart of San Marco
The hotel is very near to S. Angelo airport stop and we even arrived around 9pm but we still managed to find our way to the Hotel. The hotel neighborhood is very quiet away from the tourists but it is just about 10-15 mins walk to Piazza San Marco. The walk is enjoyable because of the views and sights along the way. The room is quite big as well as the bathrom and we liked the venetian style feel of the room. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. They will explain everything you need to know and even call to remind you of your breakfast. Staying in this hotel just made our stay in Venice more enjoyable and memorable.

We arrived in Venice st lucia station in morning and lost our way for almost 2 hours looking for hotel. Best way to get to hotel is by waterbus from st lucia to s. Samuelle station. Dont try to walk! Especially if you have luggages and kids. Apartment is nice, cosy and very clean. We are happy with the staff who was very helpful.. lucia and joel were very nice. Hotel takes about 15 minutes walk each way to the main attractions s.marco and the rialto bridge. Be prepared to walk a lot on venice to be able to enjoy the city.

The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the water taxi station. If you walk more than 2 minutes that because you make a wrong turn. Well decorated and staff is very friendly. We will stay there again and highly recommend it.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast lovely. All decor really beautiful in hotel and rooms. But a little bit style over function in that the bed was incredibly firm and really difficult to sleep on. And the shower over the bath was beautiful but not very good spray and directed out across the room with no shower curtain so not very practical for use!

This hotel is in a really good quiet location not far from St Marks Square. The water taxi drops you off about a minutes walk from the hotel. Very comfortable bed and good sized rooms. Breakfast was lovely too. Would definately stay here again if we return to Venice.

We got there and the bathroom in the room that cost$367.00 has no bathroom. The door was locked, we have to share the bathroom. It was very bad because we could not sleep well having people getting in our room all night to use our bathroom. The next morning I asked the owner of the hotel if we could have a discount , he said we have just to pay for the big room, The small room $153.00 was free ,but we should tell Expedia that we have had some family problems and we could not show up to the hotel. We were traveling for a week in Italy. It was soooo expensive, how we were not going to show up.
