Perfectly located in the hear of Venice. 5 minutes walking distance to main attractions in Venice (San Marco). Authentic rooms add a charm to the experience in Venice. The breakfastis good but very basic (limited options).
The only inconvenience is that it is difficult to reach from the train station (water taxis/shuttles are so expensive, and Vaporetto service is
terrible (very crowded) .. but these are not related specifically to the hotel but the whole San Marco area..

Always stay at the Kette when visiting Venice. Very comfortable hotel in a very central area but always quiet at night. Water taxi has direct access at rear of hotel making transfer from Marco Polo airport very easy. Only bed and breakfast offered but surrounded by great restaurants. Always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Only problem is keeping my wife out of the designer shops around the hotel!

The location was very close to San Marco, which meant the restaurants and shopping were touristy. It’s also close to the San Marco Vaparetto dock, so take the Vaparetto ferry from the train station and enjoy the views on the Grand Canal. There’s no need to take a €60 water taxi.

The hotel is very nice, with breakfast included. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet.

Check in was quick, staff multi-lingual and friendly and our room was ready when we got there. Room was clean and nicely appointed and except for some open wallpaper seams which isn't surprising given the amount of moisture in the air, the room more than met our needs. Located near the piazza di San Marco, we were able to easily access all the spots we wanted to see. Breakfast was nicely set out. We would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed this hotel which offered a free breakfast in the morning. The staff were responsive and addressed any questions as were the dining staff. Our room was clean, the bed was not as comfortable as I would like but sufficed. All main tourist areas are within walking distance of this hotel and I would certainly entertain staying at this establishment again in the future.

Kette Hotel is an excellent property, beautiful, safe and great location. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Their willingness to schedule and reserve private transfers from the cruise ship terminal in Trieste and to the Marco Polo Airport were much appreciated. Great staff, requires modernisation.

We found the staff to be really polite and helpful and the rooms are clean but the hotel itself could do with some modernising to improve comfort, it was maybe 12 deg C outside temperature for our stay but the rooms were still far too hot to sleep in without the windows open and as Venice is located within a lagoon we ended up being bitten quite badly by mosquitoes. We also felt the beds themselves weren't very comfy. The bathroom was clean and with the shower being very powerful.

Breakfast was included and consisted of continental foods. The selection was ok as we only had two mornings there. When given pots of hot water or coffee the whole pot was hot including the handle so we had to use a napkin to pour it.

The location of the hotel is perfect for getting around and is near to lots of high end shops and popular tourist areas such as doges palace which is about 5 minute walk.

Hotel is very average. Each room is different. A/C is poor and barely functioning. No place to hang around in the lobby. Breakfast is below basic.

Rooms are dingy. Need to get rid of the musty smelly carpet and replace with something a bit easier to wipe and maintain. Hand the tiny TVs on the wall instead of using the desk space. Some bathrooms are large and some are very small.
Definitely take the water taxi to and from the hotel. Coming from the train station, the hotel charge 200 euros (100 for the taxi and 100 for assistance) . Decline the assistance when you go to the train station. It is not needed and the charge is 100.
Location is excellent and walkable to all areas of interest.

Please note that the breakfast is very minimal with no hot options and there is no room service and there is not food or drink available after 10:30 am. We stayed at the hotel for four nights towards the end of May. The location is excellent. A 5-minute walk to St Mark Square with plenty of shops to browse on the way.

Our room was on the second floor, facing onto the street, and had two windows with wooden shutters, a television and a mini-bar, neither of which we used, plus a decent-sized en-suite bathroom. The room was spacious, the temperate was well regulated, and the bed was large and comfy. There was some street noise because of the location, but this is to be expected and didn't disturb us.

The staff were friendly and helpful, storing our luggage on the last day and organising a water taxi to the airport. The breakfast was adequate, but nothing to write home about. Our only complaint was that the bar was closed throughout our stay due to the barman being ill and the hotel having no one to cover. So we made use of another hotel bar close by, which played great music and the staff were super friendly.

Would I say again, location-wise, yes? But there are a few other hotels in the area. So I would check those out first before booking again.

This is a very old and traditional hotel in Venezia. The location is perfect, easy walks to main shopping areas and close to St. Mark’s square. Our room had two windows facing the small canal and if you are lucky you could hear the gondolas going by serenating you!

The hotel is in an excellent location, ease from S.Marco water taxi port and central for exploring Venice.
The hotel itself is charming and feels very authentic. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Formerly a 16th century palace, it has a beautiful reception area and sitting rooms, handsome wood counters and paneled walls, and typical Venetian marble floors. My room was very spacious (for European standards) and comfortable. The bathroom was also nice and spacious, but it had two issues: it lacked a shower security bar and a shower caddy. It was a horrible hotel, manager and staff sworn
to us when we ask for information of tv, won’t phone for us to our transfer operator, because we don’t speak Italian. The worst part was one day before checking out, we were accused of breaking a piece of glass which we haven’t done, during the confrontation, the manager sworn again, we called the police . The worst experience ever

The location of the Kette is wonderful. The rooms are a little “tired” and need to be refurbished. Towels are also a little thin. Bathroom toiletries included 2 shower caps but no body lotion!
