An outstanding hotel in a great location for all the main attractions in Venice. Short walk (5 mins max) to the waterbus stop Salute. Great attractions also 5 to 10 mins away such as Peggy Guggenheim and the Academic gallery.

Could not have been happier with this hotel, close to Doges Palace and St Marks but on the other side of the Grand Canal which makes it much quieter and less hectic. The hotel is beautiful, full of stunning art (all available to purchase), the views are great (worth paying up for a canal view imho) and the staff superb, could not have been more helpful.

For a 5-star hotel, the building is very beautiful and elegant, but the rooms are tiny and poorly finished. The attitude of the concierge staff is anything but warm and welcoming. They seem annoyed every time you ask for something. On the other hand, the restaurant staff is very kind and welcoming. Overall, not bad, but given the cost, it's definitely not worth it.

I would like to begin by saying that the staff at this property are absolutely lovely, and the service they deliver is excellent. They are friendly, welcoming and extremely accommodating. It was my birthday and they kindly left a slice of cake in my room. Unfortunately, the property itself does not really live up to its 5* rating. It is more like a 4* property. The rooms and décor throughout the hotel are basic. There is no feel of luxury to the property. The reception and public areas are very small and dark. The hotel advertises a fitness facility, but it is housed in the attic with no air conditioning, no water and no towels. Expecting people to exercise in such conditions in the height of summer in a city with a climate like that of Venice is simply absurd. Furthermore, it has very limited hours of operation and doesn’t actually open until 10:00!! If exercising on holiday is important to you, this is definitely not the property for you! The location of the hotel however, is quite delightful. It is situated on the other side of the Grand Canal to where the main tourist hotspots are meaning that it is peaceful and oozes local charm.

Our room was infested with ants. Though I had to request a room change and they did this quickly. Our belongings were full of ants and so was the bed. We had to kill them all and unpack it all to ensure we wouldn’t bring them to the next room. I would have assumed a free drink or a discounted room rate would have been applied. But we were offered nothing.

Picture-worthy location with beautifully appointed (albeit small vs. US) rooms and amenities. The bed was comfortable and the hotel staff were very helpful. The only thing to be aware of is that you will have to either walk 10-15 mins to get to the bridge to go over to San Marco (the heart where Doge's Palace is, etc.) or figure out the hydrofoil public transport - which is much closer but a bit confusing to figure out how to purchase/use tickets.

Property was amazing. Dinner with guitar entertainment on the terrace may well be the highlight of our trip. Staff organized to have a hotel employee accompany us to the train station in Venice to help us find and board our train. Hotel upgraded us to an amazing room overlooking the canal. Hotel is centrally located and very helpful getting us around. This is definitely a winner in Venice.

Was given an upgrade which felt like a downgrade. For the amount of $$$ I would have expected better. Upgraded room was clear up in the rafters of the building. Bed was in the loft very hot up there. Shower and toilet downstairs, bath and bed upstairs 😂 room complete hodgepodge. Shower was weird and leaked water from the door out into the bathroom. The rest of the hotel seemed nice snd maybe the regular rooms are better than the upgrades 😂

The things I appreciate about the Sina Centurion Palace in Venice, Veneto, Italy was the location and the excellent condition of the property. The property was clean and had a fantastic old time charm. The location of the hotel made it very convenient to participate in the events and activities located near Saint Mark's Square.

On the other hand, I was offended when the hotel refused to provide me with my upgrade. The gentleman at the front desk told me that I was not getting my upgrade because the other guests paid more for their stay than I did. His actions were unprofessional and unorthodox. Most of the time when I approached the front door no one opened the door for me or my daughter (I witnessed staff open the door for other guests). That was weird. Furthermore, I was harassed multiple times by staff at the property to purchase $500 dinner tickets for their New Years Eve party. I declined. Why would I purchase New Years Eve event tickets from a hotel staff who did not make me feel welcomed or valued as a guest at their establishment.

On New Years Eve, I returned to the hotel to find my room disheveled. I was definitely offended by that situation. I had to call the front desk to request they clean my room. They sent two men up to make my bed and clean the bathroom. The only person who treated my daughter and I with dignity and respect and made us feel extremely welcomed was a waitress. I would never stay at the Sina Hotel again. The service I received was horrible.

It is clean and nice , but that's about it . Breakfast was poor , dry burned bacon and no bread selection at all . When ordered omlet from the menue it was dry , just like whipped egg , no taste .... bad coffee . In bathroom shower , taps - all was splashing all over the place . Very design oriented but it is not maintained properly .Also the room key gadget was blinking weird blue light through the night , it was really strange , as the whole room was for one moment blue ...how you suppose to sleep with this , very annoying . I was expecting so much more , really wanted to experience the hotel , you pay a fortune and you get 3* hotel breakfast & 4 star hotel experience .

I really enjoyed my stay at Sina Centurion! My one bedroom was beautiful, spacious. The hotel is close to popular ferry routes and overlooked the grand canal but was still quiet. I’m grateful to Paolo, Elena and all the staff who were very helpful and thoughtfully recommended activities and adventures. For example, the Sina Sunset Cruise was a one of a kind experience organized by the hotel. It offered incredible views of Venice and the surrounding island, delicious food and great company! When I come back to Venice I know exactly where I will be staying. Grazie Mille!

Beautiful property in Venice in the perfect location. If I could sit and watch the boats on the Grand Canal every morning with coffee or every evening with a glass of wine, I would. Arriving and departing via water taxi, also an incredible experience. Staff kind and helpful. Area around the hotel, outstanding. Don't feel stuck in the middle of tourist area yet still plenty of beautiful shops and quaint restaurants.

Loved everything. Rite on grand canel. Very updated and clean. Service was 1st class. Im used to staying in Europe and having rooms be small and runned down. This hotel was a exception IT WAS CLEAN AND LARGE ROOM. I loved the stay in this hotel. I usually only do a review if its really good or really bad so this should give you a idae of hotel. In all fairness I did get the upgrded room on the grand canel and i dont know how the regular rooms are .

I chose Venice and this hotel as I wanted this weekend to be so special for my partners birthday but I wasn't wowed at all and felt someone disappointed. Some staff were very friendly and helpful but others weren't. We received an upgrade to a Canal View room, for being an Expedia Gold member (which I was grateful for) until I got in there. It felt like we'd been allocated the worst room in that class and we were overlooked on both sides. I advised the hotel in advance of it being my partner's birthday but there was no recognition of this at all. Maybe I was expecting too much but we are frequent hotel stayers and we have been treated much better elsewhere in lesser quality hotels. With this being a 5* hotel I would have expected to have been treated much better. I'm sorry if this is being harsh but I'm just being honest about what I felt / still feel a couple of weeks later

I seldom leave reviews and have stayed all over the world but this experience,. well.....
There are 2 wings and guests appear to be stuffed in a downgraded wing. The rooms are dark and are overlooked from the courtyard so opening the curtains is not an option. The facilities are basic and the shower was not clean see photos of shower, chipped bidet and rotten door. (uploading pictures did not work)
The staff were not especially helpful and the hotel manager was the rudest. This is not a 4 star experience.
Last my party of three went for drink on the waterfront. We were told we could not sit near the dock as it was unsafe, yet later the hotel manager allowed 4 to sit there.
The staff seemed to rush us to finish, chairs and tables were moved. I went to take photos and was rudely addressed by a man in a suit. He introduced himself as the manager. Appalling treatment of guests
Even though my daughter honeymooned here I can't recommend this hotel

Our stay at Sina Centurion was very disappointing. I would not call it a 5 star hotel at all. The lobby and external appointments were lovely but our room was very small, was full of mosquitoes each night, the bathroom was tiny and the shower fitting did not always work, we had no coffee and tea making facilities, we did not receive an up grade or extra drinks as per our Experia VIP status. It was our 30 th Wedding Anniversary and this was not acknowledged in any way, there were no USB points to charge our phone, breakfast was € 37 each and drinks were exorbitantly expensive. Over all not worth the money we paid and did not meet any of our expectations.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in an amazing location with friendly, professional staff. We were given a free room upgrade which was lovely as we were there to celebrate my partner's birthday. When we returned to the room on his birthday they had left a birthday cake in the room which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. My only negative would be the cost of the drinks and breakfast. We ended up having breakfast at a lovely cafe nearby and having drinks in nearby restaurants. The location is sensational so I know that comes with a price tag. We had a great time and the staff were lovely.

Rooms looked very luxurious, the bath in our room was to die for however bed wasn’t that comfortable and we had no tea or coffee making facilities in the room or free WiFi in room.

The hotel is quite far from the train station, as we didn’t knew how to get there by boat, we walked countless bridges to get there. We also were told by the receptionist that our room were being upgraded, and was hoping that we will be able to see part of the beautiful canal, facing the opposite room instead. This is a nice hotel, excellent location and very sophisticated design. However, it is not good enough to call itself 5 star. Looks good, but quite tacky workmanship. Overhead shower didn’t work and wires hanging out of it. Drains in shower loose. A/C didn’t work - set centrally at 24 degrees and couldn’t change, so the room was far too hot at night so had to have windows open which let in all the mosquitoes. Nothing done when I pointed it out to Housekeeping. Beds so hard it made my arms go numb. Glasses in room not washed for 3 days. No covers on the duvets, just sheets put over - unhygienic. Only half a toilet roll left one day by housekeeping. An orange juice cost €10. No warning to its guests of either the acqua Alta nor the transport strike. The hotel needs to be told where they are failing, as this is a lovely hotel but they are resting on their laurels that they think they are 5 star status when they are far from in their level of service and facilities.

The Hotel is in a great location. For the most part, It is nice and clean. The porters were great. The desk staff were nice but didn't make feel at as welcome as at some other places. The shower in our room leaked all over our room and we were not compensated in any way. For the price of the hotel, there could have been a little more to do to make that episode of our stay better.

This hotel is in an incredible location, off the beaten track but very close to it. It is a stunning building right on the canal. Unfortunately, the facilities themselves are just OK. The bed was uncomfortable and sheets scratchy, the air conditioning was weak, the gym has four machines and no free weights, there was a persistent leak in my room (the hotel kindly offered to knock off 20% of the extra charges), and the house cleaning was poor. I don’t think I’d return and certainly people should be warned that it is not close to five stars.

Gorgeous location and excellent hotel

Our second stay and just as lovely as our first. Sadly I was a little poorly for one day but the staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms are lovely and a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal in the lobby plus a quiet court yard at the rear is just delightful.
We shall return.
My only tiny criticism is that the beds and pillow cases could be improved. For a hotel of this quality they are not quite up to standard.

Beautiful hotel, great location

Staff were excellent, on the quieter side of the grand canal (which is a very good thing!). Great sun trap overlooking all the boats in the evening for dinner/drinks. Excellent food. On the expensive side - but everything is in Venice! Well recommended.

Amazing accommodations, location and staff. Great style and decor; could spend entire day at the hotel bar on the canal with a negroni or two.

Smaller upscale hotel close to San Marco

Very clean, upscale, helpful, friendly English speaking. Breakfast included is amazing. Avoid the waterbus and take a water taxi it’s worth it.

Elegant hotel, excellent staff

The hotel is stylish in a perfect location. The rooms are lovely. i stayed in a standard room which was fantastic and have also stayed in one of the junior suites overlooking the Grand Canal, during a previous visit which was very special. I would strongly recommend this hotel for the service, pleasant staff and beautiful atmosphere.
