Perfect Little Jewel in Venice

What a perfect little jewel in the heart of Venice. I loved the neighborhood- beautiful and quiet, but still close to everything. The room was small, but had everything we needed and was wonderfully clean.

My bedrrom was quite nicely decorated but there was no english tv which was a problem. The breakfast was dreadful- no fresh fruit and microwaved croissants. While the area was quite central I wouldn't have felt comfortable walking around on my own at night time. The staff were very pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay. Nice staff, great breakfast. I believe it is a family operated hotel by mother, son and daughter. My only notice is the shower is a little small, and could be an issue if a guest is quite large. Quite location, but prepare to walk to major sites like, Piazza San Marco, or called St Mark's Square in English. I thought a great value for a hotel on Venice island.

Great hotel in a quiet neighborhood.

We spent 3 1/2 days in Venice prior to a cruise.

The hotel was perfect - small and cosy and located in a quiet and pretty neighbourhood. Our room and the entire hotel were beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were especially wonderful.

Quiet location near to the main attractions

Stayed here with my daughter and this very small hotel was in a great location. All rooms on 1st floor (no lift) with a tiny breakfast room. Decor traditional Venetian - overall impression was \"small\". We would stay here again though as it was good value for money.

An Okay Stay

The place is not really close to any major Wharfs so be prepared to drag your luggage over a couple bridges. I do not recommend anyone who intend to have lots of luggage (especially heavy ones) to stay here as it can be challenging to get to. Location is quite far from the main train station so a water taxi cost us EUR70.00 for two people (I could not bare to compete with all the tourist again on the water bus).

Bathroom was quite awkward as the urinal was directly in front of the main toilet so my knees would hit it when I sat down. It was also right next to the shower so every time I stepped in and out of the shower my legs would brush it and it was not a nice feeling.

The room itself was big which was good.. although quite dark!

The cold breakfast was OK

Nice neighborhood (not as touristy as some). Room nicely decorated in Venetian style, but appreciated the modernity of the A/C and bathroom. Was easy to walk to some key sites. Breakfast was basic but adequate.

Centrally located, Classy guesthouse

Very impressed with this place. Stayed 4 nights with my wife and we were very comfortable and well looked after by the extremely helpful staff who definitely went the \"extra mile,\" lending us a thermos flask & boiling hot water for us in their kitchen every day when we asked.

The location was excellent- On the main island just a short walk from 'Accademia' and 'Salute' Vaporetto (waterbus) stops. You can of course walk everywhere from here, but the Vaporetto is so frequent and convenient, especially with a several-day pass (rather than single tickets). You will not have water views from the windows of this guesthouse, but you'll have that every day anyway when you are out and about the city- this location is just far enough off the main drag to be quiet, which is more important.

The room decor was really quite impressive- recently done up to a high standard in traditional decadent Venetian style. We had an original marble fireplace (not for use) in the room, high ceiling, and Murano glass chandelier. The walls were covered with padded cloth stretched over panels. There were larged curved windows that opened, with shutters, and rich floor to ceiling curtains.

Previous reviews mentioned that the breakfasts were somewhat meager. If this was the case, it has certainly changed now: We were served cold meats and rolls, fresh coffee (cappuccino was excellent), fresh pastry, yogurt, cereal, choice of a few types of fruit juice... well set us up for the day!

you get what you pay for

Overall the stay was fine, but the room was a little stuffy and not in the best of shape. The checkin process was also less then desirable. There was a note to call for checkin, but as we were traveling internationally, we didn't have cell phones and there was no phone to use in the lobby. We had to wait for the staff to get back to check us in. We will probably not stay here again.

Nice little place and a real bargain

The accommodations are comparable to 3 or 4 star hotels in Italy. The room was larger than most hotels. Neighborhood is quiet but convenient to major attractions. Owners speak English and are friendly and helpful. Front desk closes at 6 pm, which wasn't a problem for us but something to keep in mind. Breakfast was a little weak-- no eggs, bacon or meat of any kind, packaged croissants -- but OK with hot rolls, good cappuccino and yogurt.

Quiet, authentic decor, great location.

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2013..a small, but lovely hotel in a very quiet part of venice. The hotel is located a comfortable walk to key spots like St Marks and academia. Decor is very Venetian (carpet walls, red on gold, mirrors). Breakfast was basic, but ideal to set you up for the day (the above recommendations get it spot on)..staff are also really helpful.

...as everyone else says about this place great value for money..overall highly recommended.

Something to consider Makin an enquiry about:
As it was fairly quiet we were staying in a larger appartment style room with a kitchen diner and bathroom..this was lovely for just the two of us, but probably not ideal if you were sharing with another couple you didn't know..that said this particular suite would be perfect for a family/ group of four.

In a quiet area close to the Zattere waterfront

We had a little bit of a walk and trouble finding it, but that was our mistake. If you take the waterbus to the Zatterre waterfront station then it is a 5 minute walk to the hotel. There are also shops close to it, pizza places, a bar, gift shops, etc. The Zattere waterfront is not very crowded and has good restaurants and I believe the prices are not as high as in some other areas.
At the hotel we arrived after 7 p.m. The receptionist was not there but there was a note on the door. We called them and the receptionist came about 3-4 minutes later. They gave as a big apartment which was on the side of the hotel which had a small kitchen, two bedrooms, a big bathroom and a nice area to sit with the family. I also saw the hotel rooms inside the hotel and they were really nice also, all clean with new towels and sheets. The breakfast is had warm bread, juices, coffees, marmelades etc and croisants. It was clean and the receptionists are polite. The internet connection to the rooms is free, but a little weak, but there is also a computer in the front room, if you need it. Overall it was worth the money.
When we left we took the blue line boat from Zattere to the airport which was really convenient.

Lovely, but with a few hiccups

Positive Points:
- Beautiful decor (18th century)
- Clean modern and beautiful bathroom
- In the quiet neighbourhood of Dorsoduro, so very quiet and clean, with actual Venetians living nearby, while very close to the Accademia vaparetto stop and not too far from the major sights.
- Nice breakfast

Needs improvement:
- No air conditioning or fans or screens on windows, so in the very hot weather in late May I had to leave the windows open - it wasn't noisy, but the mosquitoes sure liked me!
- Password to internet (a Mac computer) was very long and never worked and the hotel staff couldn't seem to help me.
- Also, I needed to call the hotel staff, as they are not on site after 7 p.m., but neither of the \"emergency\" numbers worked. Glad it wasn't a real emergency. When I mentioned this in the morning to the staff (and about the computer issues), they could have cared less and seemed to imply that it was somehow only my problem.
- Single beds were very narrow and a bit on the hard side (and I like a firm bed).

Would I stay again? Possibly, if the price stays reasonable.

Cute, lovely and perfectly situated B&B in Venice

We loved this little bed and breakfast. First off, I love the Dorsoduro area because I lived there as a student 17 years ago. It's perfectly situated away from the craziness of San Marco, but you can easily get there on foot or take the .5 euro gondola that goes across the Grand Canal. Dorsoduro is home to many galleries and the amazing Peggy Guggenheim collection. It's also where you'll find lots of university students. No area in Venice is without tourists, but I think it's the perfect balance. The rooms are a bit tight, but all our rooms in Italy were tight, and we knew to bring small suit cases. But it was super-clean and charming with tapestry walls and a Murano glass Chandelier. The best way to get there from the train station is by foot or vaporetto. We just walked because we wanted to see the city.

Péssimo! Funcionários grossos, café da manhã agendado pra começar às 8:00 e às 8:30 não havia sinal de café. Quase perdemos o trem que era as 9:01 pois não havia ninguém pra receber as chaves. Você é alérgico? Então esqueça este hotel! Tem carpete até no teto! Isso mesmo, TETO. Ah, outra coisa: o quarto é minúsculo. Não cabe você é sua mala... não me pega mais. E olha que o preço nao é dos mais baratos!

Cumple, pero con incomodidades

Cosas buenas y malas. Está bastante central y la decoración es muy bonita, ambientado antiguo, pero se nota dedicación. Desayuno bueno, había dulce y salado. Personal extremadamente agradable. Lo malo es que el aire acondicionado no funcionaba o estaba apagado. No cambian diariamente las toallas, nunca lo dicen, y luego vi que sobre un escritorio hay una serie de \"reglas\" donde informan que se cambian cada tres días. Si bien no es tan caro (para ser Venecia) el tema de las toallas me parece muy incómodo. Lo segundo es que el desayuno se supone, lo sirven de 8-10, pero nuestro primer día bajamos a las 8:10 por un tour y no había casi nada listo, de hecho comimos \"lo que había\". Por estas razones no volvería.

호텔은 아담하지만 고즈넉한 분위기.

Prachtig hotel in een rustig deel van de stad

Kleinschalig hotel in een rustig deel van de stad dat toch op loopafstand is van het drukke centrum. Mooie kamer met alle faciliteiten en zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Het ontbijt is in een wat kleine maar knusse kamer en prima verzorgd.

Sehr schönes ruhiges Hotel

Das Hotel ist ein kleiner Familienbetrieb. Es hat nur wenige Zimmer, die keine Nummern sondern Künstlernamen haben. Die Ausstattung ist venezianisch - passt superschön in diesen alten Palazzo. Die Lage ist perfekt - 4 Minuten zur Accademia-Brücke. Und trotzdem total ruhig. Sehr netter Service - wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt, kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Hyggelig hotell med kort avstand til severdigheter. Veldig god plass på familierommet med 2 soverom, bad, vaskerom, og kjøkken/stue. Det eneste som trekker ned er treg wifi, (og irriterende mygg).

Nettes ruhiges Hotel in einer Seitenstraße

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Straße und hat bei den meisten Zimmern einen Blick in einen Garten, was sehr selten in Venedig ist. Das hat übrigens den Vorteil im Sommer, dass man keine Mücken hat oder auch die Kanäle vor der Tür nicht bei entsprechendem Wasserstand etwas modrig riechen können :-)

Zimmer war neu renoviert (Juli 2014) und sehr geräumig. Bisher waren wir kleinere Zimmer in der Altstadt gewöhnt.

Desayuno, Minibar y Canale de Televisión

Un Hotel familiar por lo que note atendido por sus dueños, dos personas jóvenes muy atentos indiscutible. Problemas: El Minibar no enfría (Terrible), no tienen diversidad de canales ni en inglés ni en español, pero el peor problema es el desayuno ya incluido en el precio no negociable: Solo pan, café, Croissant de supermercado.. no de panadería, y te ofrecen dos (02) no exagero.... rebanadas de queso amarillo y dos (02) de Mortadela..... si como lo leen mortadela. En ningún hotel en Italia ni en el mundo me ofrecieron mortadela dos días seguidos ya que al tercero no aguante y desayune afuera, incluso un incidente en donde la señora que atiende el desayuno le ofreció la misma mortadela que rechace a los demás huéspedes presentes en el desayuno lo cual me pareció un terrible detalle, y casi que en coro y entre risas todos dijeron nooooo!!! por lo que asumo que todos pensábamos lo mismo. Yo revise los precios en los supermercados de productos como prosciutto, jamón normal, buenos quesos, huevos y de verdad no se justifica lo MISERABLE del desayuno de verdad eso empaño lo bueno del hotel. Difícil acceso desde la estación del Vaporetto más cercana (Academia) sobre todo si llevas maletas grandes hay que cargarlas sobre escaleras de dos puentes así que prepárense aunque creo que en toda Venezia encontrarás lo mismo. Zona humilde pero tranquila no se puede negar. Lo mejor la atención del muchacho de la recepción.

民宿的な良さあり

一番　安い部屋に泊まったこともありますが、　4畳半にダブルベットが入ったような部屋で窮屈でした。　シャーワーも同様に窮屈。　夜7時半を過ぎると、受付に人がいなくなるので、事前にメール連絡しましたが、夜10時に到着したら、鍵が閉まっていて、電話番号が書いてあるだけ、　でも　電話する前に　たぶん　気配を感じて　近所から愛想のいいお兄さんが出てきて、チェックインできました。　翌朝　7時ころ、朝の散歩に出ましたが、その時にはまだ　誰もいません。　8時ころに戻ると、朝食の準備が　できていて、簡単な朝食が提供されました。　それでも　ホテルの人は気さくで、民宿にいるような感じでしょうか。　場所も静かで、アカデミア橋から300メートルほどの距離は　気になりませんでしたし、感じ方によっては、雰囲気のある地区だと思います。

Charmant et bien placé

Confort et prestations de service (wifi/internet et petit dej inclus) très correctes pour le prix. Calme et bien placé dans la ville. A mis distance entre deux stations de vaporetto, accessibles en quelques minutes de marche. Un peu à l'étroit pour la douche, mais très propre et aucun soucis de fonctionnement. Personnel très gentil.

Molto positiva. L'hotel è situato in un vicolo tranquillo, lontano dal caos del centro.
Le stanze sono grandi e arredate d'epoca. Il bagno ha la vasca e questo è molto apprezzabile.

Un solo giorno in questa locanda, ma un'impressione più che positiva. Staff accogliente e disponibile, pulizia e servizi ottimi. Anche la posizione, per quanto non in centrissimo, ha un suo perchè: nell'arrivare si vedono scorci di Venezia altrimenti invedibili. Ci tornerei domani.

check-in inden kl. 19

Ankommer man efter kl.19 mødes man af en seddel på den lukkede dør som oplyser at check-in skal foregå inden kl.19, da der lukkes. I den mørke gade er det svært at se, at der længere nede på siden oplyses et telefonnummer, som man kan ringe på, ved senere ankomst. Mit værelse var beliggende i et annex, beliggende et lille stykke fra hovedhuset med dets reception og morgenmad. Man skal derfor på gaden for at spise deres morgenmad. Annexets værelser er beliggende på 1. sal, er relativt nyrenoveret, rent og pænt, men dog ikke indrettet som billederne på hjemmesiden viser. Der var fælles køkken og bad til annextes to værelser.
