I had the best stay here! It was beautiful, clean, and the staff were so kind. The location was the absolute best with a very convenient water boat stop nearby and just a short walk to busy attractions. Highly recommend!

Amazing Hotel

This hotel was PERFECT for my trip. My bedroom was small but I don't care about size. It was VERY CLEAN! Close to the waterbus (only two minutes walk). Close to so many beautiful places and restaurants. The staff is so friendly. They held my suitcase before check-in, early in the morning so I can enjoy my trip as soon as I arrive to Venice. I love this place ;-)

Attractive small hotel in a great location. A few minutes walk away from the Water Bus stations. Walking distance to everything. Room was modern with a lovely spacious bathroom. Great aircon too. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and the staff were friendly. The garden area is very nice too. Would stay here again.

Decent overall

Overall the visit was good but the AC could barely cool the room. We were told that everything in Venice was hot and that everywhere there were AC issues but you could go into museums and restaurants and their air conditioners worked just fine. The double bed is two twin mattresses put together that are very thin but doable. Breakfast is good but get down early to avoid the crowd and line. Location was great since it was right next to the ferry stop. Very expensive though.

Great location, room was comfortable and clean. The room was updated from the pictures online when we booked and we were pleasantly surprised. We loved the outdoor area, major plus for this hotel. Breakfast was ok and we were thankful for the cappuccino’s. The only disappointment was actually the staff. I don’t expect sugary sweet but a simple greeting would have been appreciated. Anytime I had to interact with someone at the front desk they seemed annoyed. Wasn’t a deal breaker for me but just something to note. Overall a good hotel.

Hotel is well placed for all the major sites, room was a little dated but clean. Bed was comfortable if a little firm. Breakfast good quality and plentiful but hotel appears to offer breakfast to non residents which means we had to wait for a table at breakfast. Overall I would say a good choice if you are on a budget. Another good point is it's proximity to the water bus stop .

The air conditioning in the room wasn't working properly, the room decoration and colours were too much, the safe was broken.there was no soap or shampoo dispenser, in the shower, only small packets of shampoo. Bathroom pipes were rusted. However the lobby was beautiful, breakfast was excellent. The lady at the breakfast room who assisted with the coffee was nice.

Hotel is in a lovely location but is very tired, run-down and uncomfortable. The bed was the worst I have slept in for a long time - it was so uncomfortable, both in terms of the mattress and the pillows. Wall paper hanging off the walls, a damp smell in the room and curtains which don’t shut and don’t block out the light. The lady on the reception desk when we arrived was also very grumpy and unhelpful

Hotel Belle Arti is nicely located, close to a convenience store, restaurants, and relatively close to St. Marco plaza. The staff were very kind and helpful, and breakfast was great and had a large selection of things to chose from. The common areas of the hotel were very clean and looked great, but the room left a lot to be desired. It was very small, carpet and fabric walls that gave me a bit of allergies. The air conditioner did not work the best, we left it on hoping it would cool the room by the time we got back hours later it was still hot. The shower head had mold on it and the bedframe was lined in fabric that was falling apart. Honestly for the single night we stayed it was fine, we ignored everything since we were exhausted, but would not recommend if you are staying longer.

Dorsodoro’s finest

Such a sweet little hotel in a great, convenient area. Dorsoduro is my favorite sestiere, and little places like this is why. Room was nicely appointed, bar was cheap, breakfast was great (be careful….pidgeons and gulls will steal food off your plate), and staff was friendly and helpful. Close to the Zattere, Academia, and Guggenheim Collection. No more than a 25 minute walk t anywhere, and less than 3 minutes to 2 vaporetto stops. Beautiful outdoor space to enjoy. For sure, stay here.

What a wonderful place to stay in Venice. You are made to feel like family. The staff is superb. It is such a pleasure to be taken such good care of at breakfast. Venice is a gorgeous city but sometimes quite stressful. The hotel with its beautiful front courtyard is an oasis of calm to relax in after a day of seeing the sights. Easy access with two ferry lines that stop nearby, and walking into the rest of the city is also possible, over a bridge with a famous view of the Grand Canal. Highly recommended!

The bathroom radiator was leaking badly. Staff offered me a room change without any hesitation or hassle.
The beds are comfortable and are air conditioned. Breakfast plenty of choice . Hotel in a great position and quiet . The garden and covered terrace are lovely and you can have breakfast there which is lovely . Would recommend the hotel .

This hotel was ok. We only stayed one night. The beds are hard, but that seems to be normal here as they were that way at the two other places we stayed also. Don’t expect nice, new or modern. It was clean, but old and in need of some repairs. Air conditioning wasn’t very good, but kept us from sweating.

Like most of places in the area, it’s old and in need of some repairs/updating. The AC never got really cool and we had to have the desk clerk reset it. They were not really friendly in any of our interactions. Beds are rock hard, but I think that’s just the standard in Italy as we have stayed in 3 different locations and all the beds have been the same. Overall not bad, but I wouldn’t choose it again when visiting the area.

The room was not clean properly and the blankets smelled bad, the bathroom is bad in cleanliness. I got in contact with the receptionist lady few times and she was rude with me. I asked for hot water for drinking and she refused me but she gave coffee to the other guests staying there. I haven't had this kind of experience before staying but this was one of the bad experience i ever had.

A difficult stay.

Nice hotel but the experience was spoilt on our first few nights by nearly 70 young school children staying at the hotel which made breakfast every morning basically impossible!! When they left another tour group moved in and the same problem arose as the were all meeting up together at a set time, again rendering breakfast very in and difficult. Will not stay here again.

Great location with wonderfully over-the-top and old school Venetian kitsch rooms. Comfortable beds. Wifi is spotty in the upper-floor rooms but works fine in the lobby. The breakfast room is a chaotic, with frequent lineups in the morning due to a limited number of tables. Food is mostly industrial, and the coffee machine produces a beverage that is an insult to Italian culture and Italian coffee. Thankfully, you can fall back on Twinings tea.

Venetian trials and tribulations

The website said it had air conditioning. We
asked the clerk about it and he said there was no air conditioning in Venice. Also we didn't get wash cloths. He acted like he never heard of them. I'm sure even if they don't use them in Italy, other Americans, must've asked for them before.
Also, the girl at reception wasn't welcoming at all. I happened to mention that I was pickpocketed while entering the ferry from the train station and lost all the cash I brought with brought with me ($200). She just said that's happening a lot now.
When we were leaving we asked which boat stop was best, and she coldly said that they were on strike that day til 12:30. She said we could walk the half hour. We just went to the boat dock anyway and luckily a few boats were running, or we might have missed the train.
Also the room was quite small.
Therefore, I will not go back to this hotel, and probably not Venice itself, after my money being stolen before I even set foot on the boat taking me to my hotel!

This was quaint comfortable hotel in a very good location. While my room was small it was comfortable and well appointment. The TV didn't work but everything else did. Located in a quiet location a couple blocks from a major waterway. 30 minute walk to Santa Lucia. Lots of comfortable leisure space outside. More than adequate breakfast.

Good hotel but shame about their attitude

The only problem with this hotel is the total lack of friendliness. Not once was there a smile or any sign of hospitality. This is a shame , very good location, quiet, clean, very good breakfast. And for a 3 star in Venice good. But the attitude of the reception and breakfast staff lets it down. They all need a lesson in hospitality . I would stay there again and would hope they take notice of reviews ( others have also commented on attitude) . I have stayed in similar grade hotels in Venice many times and have not seen this problem before.

The room was dirty. There was hair in my bed, and on the towel rail. I told them at reception and somehow they did not understand but supplied new bed sheets. Was scared they might have bed bugs given lack of cleanliness.
The female receptionist was extremely rude to me and dismissive when I asked her basic questions such as where the bathroom was, ignoring me then when I asked again after waiting in front of her for a while (still being ignore), She pointed, without looking up.
The location and garden space is not bad and very convenient. But this place is like an overpriced hostel. I thought given the service and cleanliness, it was actually extremely overpriced.

Unique: there is a lovely courtyard which is not utilized properly. There is a bar, obviously for appearance, however, no service is offered to people sitting in courtyard.
Breakfast: set-up terrible, promotes waiting on a line…..by the time you reach the minute tray of eggs, tray is empty!! Then you have to wait for the staff to bring another minute tray of eggs, there are people standing all around waiting to get food. The food selection left lots to be desired….to give an idea of how we viewed the food….we ate a roll, machine generated cappuccino every morning. We left the tasteless food to others!

WARNING: They will lie, deny and not honor Covid vouchers. Beware worst customer service ever. After giving us a voucher for cancelled trip from last year because of covid they are now ignoring our calls and emails and denying the vouchers even though we have email proof. I have been dealing with this for months and finally gave up and asked my bank for help. I am doing chargeback with my bank because of the fraud. I would never stay at this place after they way the treated us.

The room was far more modern than it looks on the photos online. Room was clean, spacious and bathroom was also modern and clean. I would highly recommend staying here for these reasons alone. The location was also great, 10-15 minute walk to San Marcos Square. If I go back to Venice, I will definitely be coming back here. Only downside, was the buffet breakfast - cold and not vegetarian friendly, not much choice either.

Belle Arti is in a good location & 5mins walk from Aililaguna blue line stop or 18mins easy walk from bus & train. The hotel was clean, comfortable with breakfast included. Outside seating area was a pleasant place to relax. One small criticism was lack of tea, coffee facilities. None in rooms & only available to buy from bar/ reception. Our experience was most reception staff were happy to serve but unfortunately one female receptionist refused to leave desk & serve. I would however recommend Belle Arti & don’t be put off by negative reviews on other sites.

Very nice property in an ideal location. Easy access to public transport and Piazza San Marco. Nice and quiet in the evening. Very nice buffet with friendly staff. Our only complaint was the smallness of the room, but as we only slept there it was not such a big deal.

The hotel is well positioned near the Accademia bridge and about a 25 minute walk to St Marks Square. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is a good continental with even some eggs and bacon. The staff at breakfast are very nice and very helpful. The only problem when we visited was the young lady receptionist who is unhelpful bordering on rude. She seems to have the Basil Fawlty approach to guests. The hotel would get a better rating if they got rid of this lady.

Rooms are clean and basic but nicely decorated and feels like recently refurbished. Beds made up every day with clean towels. Location is excellent, 2 minute walk from Zattere ferry stop. However you can walk practically everywhere! Breakfast is continental style with enough choice for everybody. Coffee is good too!
We stayed in 105 on the first floor overlooking the street. I would recommend this hotel.

Our first night we experienced a broken toilet lid falling on the floor, nonexistent WiFi, missing slats in the bed frame, dysfunctional blinds, and a power outage.
I may have missed something but you get the picture. It’s an old place and I’ll forgive most of that stuff because it’s so close to what we wanted to see. Oh yeah, nearly unusable tv reception.

Spend a little more and stay elsewhere.

Let’s start with the good: it’s a good location.
Now the bad:
1.You have no control over the AC. When you ask them to turn the temp down they will, but then will increase it again the next day.
2. Very very very dated.
3. The pillows are less comfortable than a pile of rocks. They literally feel like folded up sheets inside a pillow case.
4. The showers drain so slowly that you have to turn them off mid shower so the water doesn’t flood the bathroom. I asked FOUR times to have it fixed and the last time I’m 99% sure the guy at the front desk just pretended to write it down.
5. The WiFi is slow and has terrible signal

We canceled out trip due to a serious medical emergency of a family member and the hotel did not have the courtesy to get back to us, in our inquiry to reschedule, until after the trip dates were over. They offered absolutely no response and no flexibility.

Beautiful Little Hotel

The hotel is in a quiet part of Venice and is overall lovely. The interior was beautiful and the breakfast was great. Plus I was able to leave my bags there the day I checked out. When I checked in there were four people there and no one said a word. It’s possible they don’t speak English but normally you’re told when to check out, where breakfast is, etc. I heard nothing. Later I did go to the front desk to get the AC turned on in my room and the service was much better.

Okay for price

Decor is very outdated but I guess that’s sort of the appeal. Bathroom could be cleaner, there is evidence of mold in the showers. Overall, one of the cheapest places so can’t complain much.

Great location, poor room

The room that my husband and I were staying in was not apart of the hotel. we had to walk out of the hotel across the street and then into another building. It felt like we were not apart of the hotel at all. The room was awful. The bed and pillows need major upgrade. The pillows are so flat that you had to fold them in half just to get some form of a pillow. The roll up window cover where broken. They only went up half way. It would have been nice to have them go all of the way up to allow more light in the already super dark room.

Decent hotel with free breakfast but interior of the room is ghetto, however location is great, the market around has a bunch of distinct items to shop around. The sofa bed turns into a bunk bed, was broken and we asked reception to help us with that as a matter of fact we paid extra for the fourth person and stayed three nights,however guy at reception said I’m sorry I cannot help you, had to argued with him and later on he helped out. Overall a decent stay!!
