Room was cold, registered it was set at 30 C but it was super cold, hot waster was iffy and bed was broke. Buildings in Venice are super old but this one was just ok. If you just want a place to lay your head then it’s ok. It was clean just needs a little TLC to bring up the experience. I would probably stay someplace else next time.
When I checked out there was someone else that was requesting a different room.

There was always hot water and the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in, but ir was to metal framed beds pushed together and not comfortable to share with my partner. No WiFi in the rooms, Tv stuck in Polish so couldnt understand the menus. AC seemed to work when it wanted making the room comfortable about half the time. The bathroom was down a narrow tuled corridor which was slippery when wet. It overlooked the canal which was nice though.

This was the worst hotel stay ever. We had 4 days of no hot water. There was no manager at the hotel. The receptionists just shrugged their shoulders. Refused to call management. Kept saying a technician was coming to fix it. In the end we went to another hotel. Otherwise the place was seriously run down and shabby.

Very poor service from a tired hotel

This hotel is very tired. The staff are very unhelpful too, which makes the hotel stay very frustrating. The Aircon was going all night and we couldn’t turn it off. It was freezing cold. When we asked the reception, they didn’t turn it off. We had to ask them three times to turn it off and they said there was only one Aircon remote control for the whole hotel. Then there was no hot water for the four nights stay. We asked the reception several times and they just shrugged their shoulders and said the engineer doesn’t work during the weekend so there is nothing we can do. Then the cleaner spilled a load of bleach in the room on the red carpet and didn’t tell us They placed one of our bags over the top of the bleach stain to cover it up, the next day they brought a rug to cover it up. The location of the hotel is good and it overlooks a very nice canal but I would not stay here again and I cannot recommend it to anybody else either.

WORST EXPERIENCE in my entire trip to Italy. Check in process is a mess, my family and I felt discriminated by the staff who was talking bad about our group amongst themselves. Our party booked a total of 6 rooms for us to be treated in such manner. The lady in the check in area literally said in Italian that she didn’t want us there or to deal with us as we attempted to book a 7th room since the actual room does not look like the pictures.
The rooms are small, carpet smells musky and looks old and dirty. The second bed that is shown in the pictures is literally a mattress on the floor. Spend your money somewhere else. Treatment was so terrible that we actually left right after midnight, didn’t even sleep there.

- Was vactioning with my partner in Venice for 2 nights, requested a double bed and recieved two single beds put together. Wasn't able to check in until 3pm, when we complained at 4pm after we arrived and checked in, we were told rudely by the concierge that the workers who would be able to put on a pillow top over the single beds had left for the day and they won't be able to do anything until tomorrow.
- Air conditioner leaked constantly, so the cleaners/management just put towels in the corner to stop the leaking.
- The room overall had a weird smell to it, probably because of the aircon leaking onto the carpet.
- The air conditioner was above the entry/exit door, so because of the leaking the floorboards swelled and opening/closing the door was problematic.

Had been worried by negative reviews but stay was clean & comfortable for the price. Reception staff were perfectly charming, friendly & helpful (not at all rude as others have said). A little worn and dated but overall a pleasant stay.

We only stayed 1 night and appreciated the friendly staff allowed us to store our bags until the 3pm check in time. We were not happy with the AC being stuck on 16 degrees all night. We tried to find the control for the heat pump/ac and discovered in the morning we hadn’t lost it- but all the ac boxes are controlled by the hotel and maintenance needs to change it. A very cold night for tired travellers. Aside from this the hotel was cute and staff were friendly

Hotel is rated a 4 star but the room was covered in a thick layer of dust, carpet had many large stains, bathroom was not cleaned and seemed used by previous occupant. Multiple Power Outages, no water or working TV in room. couldnt even open room window due the amount of dust on window sill and air unit. Horribly disappointed especially for what they charged for the nightly rate.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations. The room was much smaller than what was shown in the pictures, which made the stay uncomfortable. On top of that, the air conditioning barely worked, and the room stayed warm even at night — not ideal in hot weather.

The most disappointing part, however, was the lady helping in the front she was rude to people who don’t speak Italian. Several encounters felt rude and unwelcoming, which really affected the overall experience. It’s a shame because the location was convenient, but sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for everything else.

I wouldn’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless major improvements are made.

This is a very nice old hotel. The staff were all very nice. We arrived late, and the dining manager allowed us to order some food to take to our room.
My problem is with the reservation. I requested a room for 3 & selected a triple room. When we arrived, the staff said they received a reservation for only 2 people, so I had to pay for an additional person + the tourist fee. It cost me nearly $75 more for the exact room I had reserved.

The TV didn’t work and it would have been nice to watch some news. The shower water was warm to cold. Expedia indicated a continental breakfast available but that is extra. The room was quite small and our three beds took up the entire space, but I was fine with that, as I wanted three beds. Great location.

Small room with an itty bitty bathroom you can barely turn around in. The carpet was disgusting and looked like it had never been replaced. The bed was very uncomfortable. The only good thing was the balcony overlooking the canal.

They advertise WiFi but in our \"wing\" of the property there was NO WiFi. The heater AC had NO control. They had to send someone from the staff to turn it on or off or to adjust the temperature. Bed was okay. Bathroom okay. Touch control lamps next to the beds turn themselves on and off during the night. Location was convenient. Hotel has a restaurant and food was just 3 stars.

The hotel room was in a different building than addressed. Not sure if it was part of the 4 star building that was advertised. There was no WiFi in the room. There was something saying “sound proof” rooms, but we could hear our neighbors in the middle of the night. We had no control of the temperature in the room. Also a welcome drink was advertised, but not delivered.

The hotel has a great potential. The staff is very polite and helpful, but the rooms need major renovation. Bathrooms are in poor condition as well as carpet. Internet is barely working, we tried to watch Netflix but it constantly got disconnected. We enjoyed the hotel’s restaurant. Food was good and ambient atmosphere was pleasant. We would stay in this hotel again, but as I said they need to update showers.

Main areas were quaint but room needed new furniture (veneer coming away from chipboard), new mattress (sagging in middle), new carpet, new wall paper, new bathroom and a lick of paint (damp patch on ceiling). Food in the restaurant was nice and very good value (guests receive 40% discount). Overall a good budget hotel for Venice, just needs a little freshen up.

They used fake pic of the bathroom to trap customers into booking their hotel. In reality you’ll get bathroom with cracked tiles and full of black mold. Broken furniture and rude personnel. The worst stay in my life.

I would like to upload photos of this place so you can see for yourself. Unfortunately this option is not available on this survey. It is the dirtiest place with an awful customer service. Let's put it this way, the holes, cracks and the chandelier not properly attached to the ceiling, made me wonder if the ceiling would collapse and if I would be alive the next day.
Shame on expedia for not closely scanning the advertised hotels and allowing deceiving pictures to be posted on their site.

During 90 plus temps the AC either didnt work or was not on (the front desk person had the remote to it and didn’t make sure it was on even when we complained).

So once turned on, it still didn’t work. And all the front desk person could say to us is “there is nothing i can do it’s just me here.” Just horrible! The room was dirty, the ceiling was falling, and the AC didn’t work half the time. Not worth the stay.

Disappointing lack of empathy.

Terrible experience. Less than 3 hours after booking I realised I could't afford this hotel. I stupidly thought that I'd be protected by a 48 hour cool off period. There's no such thing. I thought perhaps I could seek understanding from the hotel besides I'd booked a room only 3 hours earlier, the booking was more than 3 weeks away and I offered to pay a cancellation fee. The hotel flatly refused my first email and ignored any follow up.

I've since noted the terrible reviews that report the hotel has bed bugs, bad smells, broken furniture, unclean rooms, bad customer service, security issues, questionable positive revies and poor response to negativity (to name a few) so I'm glad I did not stay here.

As far as I'm concerned this hotel stole my money. But thankyou for teaching me that just because a hotel can be understanding and provide good customer service they dont have to and just won't. A hard lesson but I'll be more cautious in future.

Habitación con alfombra sucia y desgastada , empapelado y mobiliarios vetustos y deprimentes baño con lo mínimo , mucamas gritando durante la mañana, no había recepcion después de las 11 PM, si llegabas despues no habia quien te reciba y quedabas afuera. Olor a comida del restaurante de abajo desde las 8 AM. DESEPCIONANTE !!!!. No volvería.

la habitación descuidada, la alfombra desgastada, la calefacción horrible, no corrían las persianas para la ventana, no había cancel en el baño, el hotel huele a comida en todo el lobby y en fin, es publicidad engañosa. Après avoir attendu longtemps après notre chambre, nous avons découvert une chambre insalubre dans laquelle il ne nous etait pas possible de dormir. Nous l’avons signalé à la réception qui nous a indiqué qu’il s’agissait juste d’humidité. Nous pouvons concevoir qu’en bord de canal il y à beaucoup d’humidité mais la poussière et les taches suspectes sont juste dues à l’absence d’entretien. C’est un scandale de proposer des chambres dans cet état. La réception a accepté notre départ immédiat, et nous a promis un remboursement que nous attendons toujours. Si un jour il arrive…

Avevo prenotato una camera in un hotel classificato come \"4 stelle superior\", tuttavia l'alloggio che mi è stato assegnato non rispecchiava affatto tale categoria.
La prima camera presentava numerosi problemi: la moquette era logora e impolverata, le dimensioni insufficienti per una struttura di presunto lusso, il bagno era privo di bidet e il condizionatore era malfunzionante, perdendo acqua al punto da rendere necessario l'uso di un asciugamano per contenerla.
Ho prontamente richiesto un cambio camera alla reception e sono stato trasferito in una struttura separata, situata a una certa distanza dalla reception principale. La camera assegnata, che a loro avviso era nella struttura a 5 stelle, non era affatto in linea con le mie aspettative. Sebbene fosse leggermente più grande della precedente, la pulizia era inesistente, la porta d'ingresso era rotta e rimaneva leggermente aperta, mancava il frigobar, la televisione era appoggiata al muro ma inclinata su un lato, e la doccia era dotata di una tendina, un dettaglio che non vedevo dagli anni '80. Inoltre, la gestione dell'aria condizionata era possibile solo tramite l'intervento di un addetto alla reception, rendendo ogni regolazione un processo macchinoso e dispendioso in termini di tempo.
Date le condizioni riscontrate, ho deciso di lasciare l'albergo e di spostarmi in una struttura vicina, molto più moderna e ben tenuta, sostenendo un costo aggiuntivo poiché non mi è stato offerto alcun rimborso.

Ett hotell att undvika

Tyvärr var detta ett av de absolut sämsta boende som vi någonsin haft och vi har rest en hel del. Messner palace är tydligen från 1600-talet och det är ju fint tyvärr var skicket som från 1600-talet, t o m frottéhanddukarna var trådslitna. Att hotellet stoltserar med 4,5 stjärnor är närmast ett hån. Möjligen om vi räknar på en 25-gradig skala skulle 4,5 vara rätt. Rummet slitet med slitna tapeter med fläckar på och en oaptitlig heltäckningsmatta. Så åk inte hit är vårt tips!

Personalen ok, frukosten på gränsen till ok.

The room was generally clean, but after the shower, the toilet is full of water and you feel like you are in the lake. When you open the window of the room, there are flies everywhere, when you tell the reception, they said there was no fly medicine and they did not help. They are not interested in service and are not enough to answer a question when asked

Slitt hotell med møkkete teppegulv på rommet. Generelt dårlig renhold. Aircondition skrudde seg av og på og var ganske bråkete. Kjøleskapet på rommet virket ikke. Ved forespørsler kunne ikke personalet hjelpe eller ordne, fikk heller ingen kompensasjon for det som var. Personalet var ikke særlig imøtekommende. Anbefaler ikke dette hotellet. Undres på hvordan dette hotellet kan ha så mange stjerner som det oppgir.

Pas terrible du tout pour le prix payé !

Pas un 4 etoiles du tout. Hôtel très très simple. Chambre minuscule. Une vraie fournaise !Climatisation ne fonctionnait pas. Et pour chaque changement de température, il fallait appeler le concierge avec une télécommande.
