Room and bathroom clean. Could use more cloth hangers. Great breakfast with everything you might want. Sergio and the breakfast staff are execellent in keeping up with cappucino orders and replenishing the food choices. Great location with tram T2 station next to the hotel. T2 from airport as well as passing by railroad station to hotel. Avoid taxis, very expensive. Public transport gets you everywhere. Walk from hotel to ponte vecchio is 40 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was very accommodating. We received a room upgrade. The breakfast was delicious (we indulged every morning). Although it is a 15 minute walk to the center of Florence, the walk is beautiful, and my wife and I enjoyed the extra steps. Highly recommend.

The wine provided for VIP was excellent and all 4 people at the service desk were so helpful and wonderful! Location was ok and you can find about 50 more hotels around to choose because this hotel is extremely old:( o read it was renovated but it means poorly painted in some places and getting new bedding. No air conditioning, no iron boat and very old rusty wooden/metal for pants hangers that ruined my husband pants :( so sad because people working there are great and want you to be happy but … even the coffee tray had webs and long black hair In addition to poorly stocked 2 capsules of coffee and no sugar or anything not tea options . I usually take pictures but here it was everything so poor worn out and or broken so I gave up:( Do not go , tons of options and at the same location so pick something else

Great place to stay. We came in from Canada and found the hotel without too much of an issue. Parking a few blocks away a little tricky but we did it. 2 person job to navigate and drive around 1 way street. $15Euero night. Great area 20 min walk to main DT where Domo is. Best restaurants 10-15 min easy walk out fav. Antica traitorio da Tito - amazing florenetine steak. Reserve best. Close hotel Libertà cafe great for cafe or cocktails in aft. Maria at front desk hotel was amazing. She was so helpful with directions and advice to us and other guests. I read many reviews and they see important for our decision. If you are like this and then you will be very pleased with a stay here. Well worth it.

PROS: The hotel is very close to the train station and public transportation stops. The staff was very friendly and assisted us with an early check in. Breakfast was amazing.
CONS: No air conditioning in the hotel until May. Which forced us to open the windows to cool down. Unfortunately that led to several mosquito bites overnight. There was also an issue with the hot water which led to cold showers for the family.
Overall, the stay was average. But served its purpose for a couple days.

Maria was great and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great! On Nov 2024 the tram station near the hotel is not working, there is constructions everywhere, so you must walk at least 15 mins to get to the city center. It didn't bother us. We had problems with the room temp, but I would stay here again.

The only issue we had was the walls being thin and a group of girls next to us being loud throughout the nights we were staying. But not the hotels fault, just need to pack earplugs.

Great little property

I have stay in the disable room, as no other room was available. I booked originaly ro stay in nunior suite, but the room was in the basement and was very dark and unwelcomed. The room which i was given did not much the price which i paid. I did not receive any money back. The daily clining was not up to good standard.

The hotel was fine. It was located about 15-20 minute walk from Florence’s most famous sites. The service was excellent: cabs available within 5 minutes, luggage storage etc. The rooms themselves were functional but dated and the towels were old and discoloured. Nice outdoor patio for cocktails.

The rooms are beautiful and clean, the property is gorgeous and has a fantastic bar area. This became our regular spot every night, the bartender Holly was amazing. Great service, conversation, and drinks. We came back every night of our stay to chat with her and enjoy the patio. Thank you Holly! The bar became one of our favorite late night spots in Florence.

The main areas are a 20-30 min walk which isn’t too bad. We had the hotel call us cabs nearing the end of our stay since we were tired of walking. It’s romantic and quiet here away from the main touristy part.

On the last night of our trip my fiancée proposed to me in front of the patio! This hotel has 5 star service and atmosphere and is now one of our fondest places as a couple.

The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating! Our room was nice with a patio. We were very happy with everything except for housekeeping. Nothing was replenished daily. We had to ask for coffee pods, toilet paper, towels and washcloths. The hotel has a bar next door and we enjoyed an expresso martini there and just to the left of the hotel there are two wonderful cafés for a light breakfast or lunch. A good 20 minute walk to the Plaza but easy to find if you are using an iPhone map. Overall we recommend if you are looking for a decent, affordable stay in Florence

Overall it was an ok stay for us. The staffs were friendly and nice along with the hotel condition.
However, we could not turn on the ac which was quite hot and humid in the room.

We were advised to open the window for the winds but honestly super noisy.

I understand they may have policy on air con but kindly be accommodating and flexible on this, especially when guests informed it was hot in the room.

Beside that ac hiccup, we enjoyed our stay still!

Wanted to love it, the mosquitos had other plans.

I wanted so much to love this hotel! The hotel is beautiful, the neighborhood is great, and the staff is incredibly kind & helpful.

And while the room we stayed in was spacious, the mosquitos were impossible to avoid, even after the front desk staff gave us a citronella plug in for our room. We found dead mosquitos everywhere; including smashed on the walls on the room (blood included).
We asked for our sheets to be changed after 2 nights of dealing with the bugs, and found the sheets were changed but the pillow cases were not (another dead bug & blood was proof of that).

I understand Firenze has plenty of mosquitos, but I’ve never encountered such a lack of cleanliness regarding them before.

As lovely as it was, I would only stay at this hotel again if there was a serious effort to do something about the bugs, because it made staying and sleeping there almost impossible.

If you’re going to be there, I would recommend bringing your own bug spray, if only so you’ll get a decent night’s sleep.

In te heart of everything, we had a lovely patio, and a bathtub. The breakfast was great. The gardens needed tending a bit, a great fitness area. There were many mosquitos, but it rained. The staff, housekeeping, bar staff, and Thomaso, were so helful.
