This property was perfect. Made to order hot breakfast with gluten free options. Super friendly staff. Our room was nice and big. View of a canal and hotel is right on the Grand canal. Our room didn’t face the grand canal so it was still decently quiet. Only bummer was as per regulations the air conditioning is turned off on October 9th and so our room was quite hot. Otherwise a great hotel! Highly recommended. Oh and the staff was amazing!!!

We spent 2 nights in the EGO residences Casanova room. Location is as central as it gets. Vaporetto stops 50m away. Very convenient. The room was very nicely renovated, clean and provided everything we needed. The couch pullout bed was a queen size and both beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was large with great water pressure in the shower. Nice large bath sheets, robes and slippers were provided along with complimentary bottled waters. Check in was a breeze - front desk of the EGO hotel is right next door to the entrance for the residences. Staff is very friendly and professional. They were attentive to our every need. Absolutely wonderful experience. We will definitely be staying there again when we visit Venice.

This is a fabulous hotel. It’s an old building but they’ve done an outstanding renovation job to bring in modern amenities. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. It’s also right by the Rialto water bus stop, which is super convenient for the airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is an absolute delight in a lovely little room with a great view. I just wish it were offered before 8:00 since we’re early risers.

Loved this hotel - absolutely fantastic location literally at the foot of the Railto bridge so central to everything and with a water ferry and taxi rank right in front - supermarket next door and laundromat a 7 minute walk we fell in love with Venice and this quirky little hotel was a shining star

Unsuitable for people who have issues with steos
Unfortunately there were steps to get to our room. The staff were available to help with luggage when we arrived and left. Room itself large. Looked out over a side canal. A lot of noise from upstairs or sure if hotel or other usage. Easy to access from grand canal transport.

Amazing room - true to the description. Tons of space and a nice sofa to lounge on. Service was excellent. Very good location right next to the Rialto bridge which made to/from train station as well as getting around the city so much easier.

Our room was nice but had several issues in the beginning, although the staff attempted to solve most of them it was still an inconvenience. First, the air conditioner in the room is grossly inadequate, it took forever to cool the room down and only after we requested a fan and placed it on top of the air conditioner.
Second, the television didn’t work, they had to shut the power to the room off and then back on, that corrected the problem.
Lastly, apparently the toilet had been replaced the week before, but the fresh water supply was leaking on the floor. They didn’t have anyone to fix it so we ended up putting a towel around the base to catch the water.
Overall, I loved the charm of the place but I left disappointed.

The room was nice with a very nice comfy bed and pillows. The hospitality was nice as well. The surrounding area is perfect with shopping and restaurants. It is also next to the water bus drop off which makes traveling a lot easier. Overall, a very nice hotel.

We spent two nights in the Casanova Room in June and couldn’t have been happier. It was expensive but that’s Venice. The location is amazing, right on the Grand Canal, a stone’s throw from the Rialto Bridge. The room itself has a view of one of the smaller canals.
The building had to be hundreds of years old, yet the room had every modern amenity (while still maintaining the charm of Venice). The bathroom was large and well equipped, there were plenty of outlets, and the air conditioning was great (which is saying a lot of a hotel in Italy in the summer). My teens shared the pull-out coach, which was surprisingly comfortable and roomy.
Each day they refreshed large containers of still and sparking water in the fridge and on the first day we had a container full of Italian cookies (which did not last until day two). We had a continental breakfast delivered the day we left and found it to be delicious and reasonably priced.

Beautiful spot with a cute little window looking out on the canal with gondolas going by all the time. Very central location. Beautiful bathroom, all very clean. Very comfortable bed and bedding. A/C kept it around 23 going all the time. Very helpful staff. Loved it, will be back.

The location was perfect and everything was great. The only issue was that we couldn’t make the room cooler. There were nice restaurants close by and the Rialto water taxi was right in front of the hotel. We could have used it to get to the hotel but didn’t know where we were going. We took a private taxi for $70 but at the end of our stay we took the public water taxi for $9.50 each.

Loved that it was right by the water taxi on the grand canal. Easy access and no long walks through crowds with luggage. Rooms/bathroom was super clean and tidy and the AC worked great! Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel added nice, little touches that made the experience wonderful. We had a canal view, and even though you're right next to Rialto bridge, it was so quiet! Location is perfect with easy access to anywhere in Venice,including the other small islands. Great place to stay and would book there again.

The hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to most things. The hotel was very helpful with accommodations to and from the hotel. Communication was not great. I had to follow up on transfers I asked for there was no confirmations even though they said they would send them. There was no porter on duty the day we left for the airport which caused us to have to carry luggage down a few flights of steep stairs. We stayed on the museum side of the hotel which was a bit unusual because museum goers were also in our entryway. Lastly the room was noted to have a canal view. You would have to open the window and stick your head out and look down to see the canal.

What a wonderful place. From the location right at the Rialto bridge to the incredibly wonderful staff, this place hits the mark! We stayed in the residence which was absolutely lovely! Great location in an historic building
The best thing about this place is the location. Just steps away from the Rialto water bus stop, super easy to get to everything in the city. However, we did pay for the canal view room which consisted of a tiny window you had to lean way over to look down on a teeny little canal that went down the side of the hotel. Not what I was expecting. Breakfast was extra and a little pricey in my opinion so we opted to go to the bakery around the corner. It was fun to stay in such an historic building. Even the floors were slanted, indicating that indeed it is hard to keep these old buildings level! Had a great atmosphere though. I would probably check out other nearby properties in the future.

Good location near Rialto Bridge, so can easily get to the main attractions. Nice staff. The room was quite small for the 3 of us, as expected. The entrance to the room was up/down half a flight of stairs. There was a bad smell in the bathroom which came into the room, which we talked to reception and they tried to address it. However, smell did come back (maybe nothing could be done?). The toilet seat was broken.

This property was not anything like the listing. Room was very claustrophobic, low ceiling, tight spaces. There were no outlets conveniently located. All were along the floor in the main pathway so devices were in the traffic pattern while charging. Sink faucet was loose and there was a fear of breaking it every time it was used. While there is an elevator you still have to negotiate stairs with your luggage to get to the elevator from the lobby or your room. Check in agent was demeaning.

Pretty disappointing hotel. The staff was very nice, but the hotel itself lacks all amenities.
Elevator was broken. AC had been shut off for the season, which was not disclosed to us. You were forced to leave the windows open at night to cool the room, which resulted in dozens of mosquito bites and horrible canal smells. The bed is old and uncomfortable. And the room is too small for two adults with carry on suitcases.

The hotel Ego Residence is in an old palazzo which was lovely and quaint. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in our room on the first night there - we arrived at 9 pm and after traveling and had an ice cold shower! While the staff was friendly and apologetic it was not fixed until the next day. Then we had an issue with a bad sevage smell in the bathroom for several days “due to rising water in Venice”. Again the staff were apologetic but given the price we would expect fewer issues. Otherwise a great place to stay, lovely, clean and modern and comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Ego Hotel in Venice, Italy, and while there were some positives, there were also several disappointments.

The hotel's location, right next to the Rialto bridge, was incredibly convenient for exploring Venice. We had easy access to many of the city's attractions, which added to the overall experience.
However, my main issue was with the room. I had paid extra for a canal view, but to my disappointment, we were assigned a room with a view of a neighboring building instead. This discrepancy made me question whether it's worth the additional cost for a canal view, as it didn't live up to my expectations.
Furthermore, our room had some maintenance issues. There was noticeable mold around the shower door, which was not only unsightly but also concerning for hygiene reasons. Additionally, the air conditioning system in our room was subpar, which made the stay less comfortable, especially during the warmer months.
Regrettably, based on these experiences, I'm unlikely to stay at the Ego Hotel again, and I can't wholeheartedly recommend it to others. While the staff and location were positives, the disappointment with the room and amenities overshadowed these aspects of our stay.

Staff at front desk very helpful and reliable. The only reason it isn’t a perfect score was that we were there during a heat wave and the AC was struggling- but they promptly brought up a fan and it was exactly what was needed! The rooms are clean, the location can not be more convenient, right next to Realto bridge, very good breakfast and extremely helpful staff. We had left our bag by accident in the room and Adil was extremely helpful in organizing to deliver it to the train station. When I called the hotel he was happy to help me. He went to the room and checked for my bag and it was there, he called me back and asked if I want it to be delivered to me. I said yes and in less than 10 minutes we were able to get it. Incredible people who care and did not let our trip to be unpleasant in any aspect!!Thank you EGO residence!

The Ego’ Residence is an amazing hotel! Perfectly located within steps of the Rialto bridge. The staff are fantastic and incredibly friendly! Especially, Edil, at the front desk. Service is at a high-level, they arrange to have our luggage brought up to our room without us even asking. Help with luggage in Venice is incredibly helpful! The hotel is in a 15th-century palace, located right on the grand Canal with its own dock. Hotels in Venice can be extremely expensive, and this hotel was priced very reasonably, although very beautiful and great service and great location! We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here if we returned to Venice. If you are American and expecting giant hotel rooms in Venice at any hotel, you need to adjust your expectations. Real estate in Venice is a premium, so rooms are smaller, but they are creatively appointed and decorated. This hotel absolutely gives you a wonderful Venice vibe in a fantastic location with fantastic service. We highly recommend!

Really great hotel, modern rooms in a traditional Italian building in an old museum. Ideal position right outside the Rialto bridge and 100m from the Alilaguna drop off. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.

The property was in a prime, easy to find location near the Rialto Bridge, shopping, dining, and about a 10-minute walk to the piazza. They had great customer service and helped us get a water taxi to the train station. We loved being next to one of the small canals and be serenaded by some of the gondola’s passing by. The beds were comfortable, the room spacious and we appreciated the Venetian decor. We would stay here again!!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff was wonderful. We were able to check into the property early from our 10 hour flight which was great. Staff showed us to our room and showed how to use the AC and gave suggestions for transportation. The hotel even set up a water taxi for us from the airport. We didn’t eat breakfast here so can’t comment on the food. The location is perfect. Within minutes of the Rialto bridge and a 5-10 min walk to San Marco area. Water Bus location is in front of hotel. Room was clean. I wish we had a balcony but honestly we didn’t spend much time in the room except for sleeping. Room was quiet. There were stairs to walk to enter the building where our room was so make sure you are able to climb stairs. Would definitely stay here again.
