Great location in Venice

The Residenza Goldoni was a great place for our short stay in Venice. It was very well located, right in the heart of the city action. You can walk to every attraction easily. The place has no elevator and the staircase are very steep, so I wouldn’t recommend if you have difficulty getting up the stairs and with your luggages as well. The room was very clean, and there is a cleaning service everyday. The bed was not very comfortable, but it was ok for 2 nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Great location

The hotel is located a short walk from Rialto, all the shops and great restaurants, convenient location to get around Venice. If you take the public water taxi from the train station, the waiting can be up to 45 minutes, one could also walk, however, decided to wait.
No issues with our stay, it’s not a modern hotel, walls covered with fabric, which adds to the experience of being on vacation, very clean and check in was efficient.

Decent place to stay, starting to show signs of age. AC didn't work, floor is warped/wearing badly. Bedding is serviceable but is getting worn. Bathroom needs a deep clean. Both faucet and shower had small leaks while in use. Would stay again but hoping it gets a little TLC. Staff was good.

The room was very comfortable overall. The only problem was the walk up three flight of stairs and there was no help. We had a very large bag and took us all our strength to walk up three flights. When we asked if someone can help us, we were told absolutely not. The place was in a very nice area close to shops and restaurants.

Great 3 star hotel in the middle of Venice. We had read some bad reviews of the hotel so we were concerned, but we had no issues at all. The hosts were great, the breakfast more then adequute and the room quiet and comfortable. For a reasonably priced place to stay in the middle of Venice you cant go wrong

Greeted by a gentleman with the most welcoming smile. All staff (we met 5 in total)were fabulously friendly and helpful, with great spoken English. The rooms are beautifully clean and smell good. Comfy beds. Location is amazing, 2 mins walk to Rialto bridge and 5mins from st marks square (this is genuine times). Really easy to find with the directions given. The breakfast was worth the 4 euros as it filled a hole, in an expensive area. They’re a few quirks (ie breakfast served in the hallway), but they just add even more to the charm of this hotel. 100% will be back and more than happy to recommend to friends. We had the quadruple room which was ample space to move about and a large bathroom, for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Genuinely can’t find fault! Huge thank you 🙏

Perfect location but small.

The hotel is an absolutely amazing location just 3 minutes walk from Rialto and about 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco. The room that we had was really small but adequate and the en-suite was similarly small but adequate. The staff were really helpful and we felt well looked after. We would definitely stay here again but look to get a larger room.

Staff were friendly, the property was clean, room was clean. It was a perfect location to all the main attractions in venice, everything was so close. But also not loud and busy! It was quiet. Only down side was we had no toilet roll for most of the holiday, and they cleaned the room daily but didn’t supply more. No one was on reception every time I went down to ask for some. We were also not told about breakfast. After a couple of mornings we saw a ‘help yourself’ style breakfast room where everyone can grab what they need, but we weren’t told when this opened in the
morning etc so by the time we got there it had been savaged. Other than the toilet roll and no breakfast it was a nice hotel and good location.

This property was right in the heart of Venice next to the grand bridge. The room was nice. Only complaint is, we the room on the top flore and there are no elevators so we had to lug our luggage up 5 flights of very steep and narrow fights of stairs. Also they had a phone charger that was shorting out really bad. Other than that this place was great.

The property was very convenient. The room is very small, so be aware when booking. It states it's a quadruple room. It has a queen-sized bed and two single beds in the same room. My guess is the room is about 15'x15'. The hotel is in a great location, with shopping and restaurants easily accessible. It's about a 1/4 mile walk to the Rialto bridge and a 1/2 mile to St. Marks. The AC doesn't come on until June, so the room was hot when we went in April. We opened the windows, but the airflow wasn't great. We tried to turn the fan on, but it was blowing hot air. We called management, but they told us to open the window. The folks at the reception desk are wonderful. They helped us with directions and to get a water taxi to the airport. I would highly recommend the Hotel.

Our stay here was good for the most part, but we had a few small issues. It was very hot in the room and we could not get the air to work. The front desk wasn’t very organized, and the hours are questionable as everyone had gone home before 2pm even though we were told they would be there until 6pm. So if you check a bag, it may be left unattended behind or beside the desk. Also, the shower was very slippery so be careful there. Otherwise, the hotel was charming, the staff was pleasant, and the location was very convenient to everything, once we found it.

Overpriced and Seen Better Days

Stayed two nights in October 2022. Weather was warm and humid but air conditioning did not work. Windows opened to noisy alley below. Also bathroom has no ventilation with limited soaps and no shampoo or creams. No shelf around tub for personal products you bring either. Rude cleaning staff takes dirty towels from the room but doesn’t replace them unless asked to. Same staff literally screams in the hall to talk to the manager as she needed permission to replace the towels. Also asked us to leave the room early for cleaning and not at checkout. The room was large, and so was the bed. However, the mattress topper doesn’t stay in place for long. There’s a safe but it requires coins to be used and the battery was dead anyway. No dedicated luggage room. Bags left in lobby / hall without consistent staff supervision — not safe. Paid way too much for the level of service and amenities. The manager was friendly but that doesn’t make up for the rest of it. Hotel info says it takes AMEX but payment link only allows Visa or Mastercard.

Great stay in an excellent location

We had a great stay at Residenza Goldini. We arrived in the evening and checked in the following morning. Breakfast in the rooms was a great way to start the day, and all of the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

The beds were comfortable and the room was clean quiet. The only thing was that the air con didn't work, but that wasn't a big deal - can imagine it might have been in the heat of the summer. The shower in the bathroom was also very good.

Upon departure we were able to leave our bags before returning later in the day. The location was great, with the Rialto bridge a couple of minutes away.

If we ever go back to Venice then I would look no further.

Basic hotel on great location

The hotel was in an amazing location. The room was small, very tired but very traditional which we wanted. It was on the third floor with no lift which was a bit of a problem. The photo from hotels.com showed a small balcony which we thought would be nice as our breakfast was room service but the balcony was off the hallway and the view was just wall and pipes, very misleading. All on all the room served its purpose and was redeemed by location and venice itself.

Check in was effortless, quick and friendly.
Our room 114, was beautiful decorated in Rocco style furniture. Everything was elegantly matched from wallpaper to curtains and bedding. The bed was the most comfortable my husband says his ever slept in. Our bathroom was on suite and had everything you need including a hair dryer. The The property is 2 mins for rialto bridge & 10 Mins from st Marco. Breakfast is lovely and enough to fuel you for your adventures till lunch. We found The whole hotel to be spotlessly clean.

Overall, it was okay. The place is clean and someones come in everyday to clean and replace towels/sheets. The AC and WiFi worked well.

On the downside... We only had two small pillows, so it not very comfortable when watching stuff in bed. The shower's water temperature in unstable, cycling between BURNING and cold. Lastly, there's no one at the reception between 10 pm and 8 am. That can be an inconvenience.

The property is in an excellent location, very close to Rialto and St Marks plus easy access to the river bus's to all directions. This is a nice quiet property, room size adequate and a nice private bathroom. Our room also had a private roof terrace, which was nice.The main issue for most modern travellers might be the stairs depending on what floor you are on. As you go up over 4 stories the stairs get less wide, and there is no lift. Not any good for anyone with mobility issues. The bed was comfy but furnishings although traditional in style were in need of refurbishment. A bit of a lack of attention to detail, which can sometimes make all the difference. No restaurant or central dining room, but the free room service and breakfast to your room was a nice touch, even if somewhat a necessity.

This is the worse stay i ever had in any hitel,communication was bad to start with,advertising crib for baby and we got nothing, ac broke and we called the emergency line provided for after hours and no one replied ,and to make things worse when we told them the next day they said we broke it ,only to find out later that a few other rooms went down to reception complaining of similar issues and the weather was really hot due to the heat wave across europe ,no consideration to our situation especially with an infant.. not even an apology and no answer to as why no one answers their emergency line!!! Emailed the hotel and of course no reply and no response !! If you got kids babies a family stay away from this hotel!

Nice hotel that is centrally located. It is right off the main street and for the most part pretty quite. There were times you could hear the people on the street below, but that is what you should expect staying in the heart of the city. Comfortable bed and great breakfast in the room. The hotel was hidden in a small back street close to the Rialto bridge. Right by a pub which was great!
We arrived and our room wasn’t ready so we came back an hour later. We were told on arrival that there was a €4 pp per night tourist charge that we’d never heard of but paid anyway. Breakfast was only given 1 of the 2 mornings. The rooms are small but very ‘venitian’
2 single beds pushed together made the double bed.
No frills hotel but in a great location.

The hotel was in a nice location. Close to saint Marc’s square. We chose to walk with our suitcases to the hotel when we arrived which was a mistake. Lots of bridges with stairs. Took the ferry on the way back. Bed was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast included was a basket of breads, and yogurt with your choice of coffees or tea. We would stay here again.

We arrived a little early, but were still welcomed and shown our room. Staff are helpful and friendly. We had one or two issues initially (air con not working, no towels due to our early arrival), but these were sorted out very quickly. The bed is extremely comfortable and so are the pillows. Room 123 is a nice size, adequate storage and two windows overlooking the narrow street below. Bathroom was very clean and there was plenty of hot water, good water pressure. Slipper bath with shower over - only problem was the shower screen did not cover the end where the shower was, so water goes on the floor! We suggest you wash holding the shower in your hand or sit in the bath - all good fun! The room has not been refurbished yet, but we found it to be absolutely fine and up two flights of stairs. Probably not suitable for older folk if stairs are an issue, no lift. We had breakfast upstairs on the small outside terrace, which was very pleasant and the breakfast was basic continental (yogurt, croissant, biscuits, etc), but enough to keep you going. If you want milk in your tea, you will need to ask for it. The location was excellent and is two minutes from Rialto Bridge where you can get the water bus, and we arrived and left for the airport from there using the Alilaguna boat. Location is central to Venice and only a five minute walk to Plazza San Marco. Lots of eating place everywhere. We would highly recommend this hotel and if we ever have the opportunity to return

An unexpected pleasant place

So I have to be really honest, when I read the reviews post booking my accommodation I was seriously worried about this place.

Got to Rialto water stop used google maps to get to the place and couldn’t find see it.

TIP. When you get to Disney store take your second left and first right after passing Devils Kitchen.

The guy on duty was so excited to welcome us. Check in was a breeze and I got a room I had asked for. Yeah it’s an old building so no lifts. The guy helped
Me carry our bags to the 3rd floor without any complaints.

The room was clean and was good size.
The air conditioning worked perfectly and whatever I asked for he was very accommodating to assist.

The place is very central and is about a 10 minute walk to San Marco Square and 5 minutes to Rialto bridge.

Breakfast was Typical Italian.

Great location but the hotel is old and dingy. Definitely needs a face lift and good cleaning. However, Not bad considering the price and other options in the are.

Great location!!

Generally a good place in a great location. Most of staff was friendly and helpful, except for older man there on my arrival. He insisted heat worked (it didn't) and maid was able to fix in AM (batteries in hand-held unit for heat dead). Little shabby like most places in Venice and could be a little cleaner. Also, breakfast just ok, so if you really want breakfast stay somewhere else. They were very nice, and put me on the 2nd floor, but be sure where your room is--4 flights of really steep stairs....I only had one thank goodness. Overall a good stay and would probably stay again due to the location.

Great location and staff are nice and helpful. The room is a bit dated with a small shower but was clean and in good conditions.

Cute place right by the Rialto bridge, perfect for our short stay.

Near to Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square

We've booked for two rooms. Both with diffrent interior & both are very comfy worth with how much u've paid. Breakfast served in room. Very near to Rialto Bridge, Hard Rock shop and St Mark's Square.
