Convenient location in historic building midway from St Mark's square to Rialto bridge in midst of many restaurant options and shopping. Large rooms with antique Venetian style lovely furnishings.VERY clean. No elevator but staff eager to help with luggage. VERY high recommendation.

Best hotel we stayed at in Venice. Staff were fantastic, easy 5 minute walk to St Marks Square, the hotel breakfast is fantastic. Especially with a family of 4 this place was perfect. Good beds and amazing cappuccinos made free each morning. I’d recommend for sure !

Charming small hotel with excellent staff

Charming small hotel walkable to the grand canal and saint mark’s square. Since it is small, the rooms face right out to the street and the walls are thin. For light sleepers like me, you can hear any activity going on outside. The free breakfast was great and the staff is lovely and helpful!

Brilliant stay, staff so helpful and kind. We were able to check in at 12.30pm, we'd only gone to see if we could leave our bags!
We had an very early departure and all staff told us to come down for breakfast - they would be setting up but we were welcome to get something before we left.
The room was nice and quiet, comfortable bed, fab shower, ample sockets.
Really good location, 10 mins to St Mark's and about the same to Rialto Bridge.
Great breakfast selection.

I enjoyed a perfect two-night stay at a Hotel da Bruno. The staff were enormoualy helpful before my arrival (with directions) and during my stay
The room itself had tonnes of character and charm but also had an exceptionally comfortable bead and great pillows. Bathroom was beautifully appointed as well.

Great Venetian Experience

Very Venetian hotel, just what we wanted! Super friendly staff and a lovely authentic breakfast. Perfect location, literally a 2 minute walk from the Rialto and a five minute walk from San Marco, what more do you want?! Mini bar also VERY reasonably priced, always a plus! Would recommend and stay again! Great all round.

Wonderful hotel!! Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Our flight was cancelled and they let us stay an additional night in the same room. Great breakfast with assorted hot/cold selections - and delicious cappuccino! Location is excellent and very convenient to water bus locations. Numerous restaurants, gelato, and pizza locations nearby. Highly recommend this hotel - definitely plan to return on our next trip to Venice!!

Hotels never answered messages I sent prior to fleck in, but was friendly once we arrived. Great location but rooms facing the street, and the hardest and most uncomfortable beds and pillows plus non stop hotel and street noises, made it impossible to sleep. Good breakfast. Very expensive for feeling like sleeping on a table with stones under your back. Super tiny bath.

Great hotel in an amazing location. Staff great you with some fresh juice and showed me directly to my room. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, I really had no complaints at all. I was lucky enough to be on the top floor which had a sunlight in the bathroom and a lovely wood beamed ceiling. Loved the free breakfast. And the location was wonderful, a short walk to San Marco, even shorted walk to Rialto Bridge and plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby

Everything about the hotel was great! The room was bigger than I expected and they accommodated my toddler so well. They went out of their way to get me a pack n play free of charge. We were given the room on the 3rd floor, which was the room under the ceiling. The ceiling was so low that my head hit the ceiling even I am 160 cm tall. Towels were not clean, and the bathroom had some smell. Overall, I was not satisfied with the room at all.

This was our second visit to Hotel Bruno. The staff are amazing! Very professional, friendly and helpful. On our first evening we returned to our room after a day exploring to find a complementary bottle of Prosecco chilling. The hotel is in a great location with all major spots 10 minute walk away.
Would definitely stay here for the third time!

The breakfast was awesome a great selection to keep all my picky family members happy. The only thing we didn’t like was the AC wasn’t cold enough for the hot weather. fantastic location right in between St Marks Sq and the Rialto bridge, 10 min walk to either. very friendly and helpfull reception. My first night though was horrific, so hot , my room was like a sauna and impossible for me to sleep. 4am and still awake, fed up with being bitten I check in the mirror and I have 20+ mosquito bites, after about 30/40 min I have killed 5, with the blood on the walls to prove it. During my \"hunt \" I found presumably the cleaners had left the window open , probably because the air conditioner did not work.. Down to reception in the morning to complain, to be told it was not time yet for the airconditioning to be switched on and some clients wanted heating and this was all on 1 system (very confusing) I thought that's what thermostats were for ! Now to be fair to the hotel this was attended to that same day and my air conditioning was working. Having had no sleep the previous night I spent most of my second day asleep. Next night though slept well and no mosquitos !! WiFi I found worked for roughly 1 hr then refused to work , so maybe a timer I don't know, didn't ask ! Good variety for breakfast ( no fry ups) Cleaners could do better, the rooms in the \"open\" parts were cleaned but under tables /chairs , against the wall was Very dirty.

Nice staff, good breakfasts and generally good facilities. However, i was bitten at least 20 times by mosquitoes during the night - they were everywhere. Obviously hot weather brings them in, but get insect lights or have them fumigated!

the hotel has one of the best staff i have ever encountered they are very helpful and friendly and have lots of experience about what to do or go at Venice, the rooms are in good condition as i had the family room which has a big bathroom however the rooms dont have any kettle or coffee but they offer at first floor a tea and coffee services for free, the location is in the heart of Venice as its close to San Marco and rialto bridge and shops and restaurants are all around, the water bus stop is about 3 minutes walk, it has no elevator
overall it was a pleasing time and i will probably come back again

Does not have an elevator so it can cause some difficulty for handicapped individuals as all rooms are above ground level. Rooms are somewhat dated but very nice. I would recommend to others

The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great location, walkable to anywhere in Venice but not as touristy as the St Mark's area. Breakfast was adequate - meats, cheeses, pastries, etc. My single room was small and aging, but good enough. The shower was roomy, I had shampoo, hair dryer, two towels, an extra pillow and blanket, a/c, wifi, an outlet to charge my devices. My friend's single room was extremely small though, and he could not even shower with the stall closed. This is Venice. Hotels are expensive and old. You don't get luxury at this price range. But my room had everything I needed and was clean. I would stay here again.

A great place in the heart of Venice

Igor and the staff were so helpful! It was a little tricky getting there, as we had hoped to get a water taxi at the airport, but the kiosk was closed, so we ended up on a city bus - there is one that is direct and it faster - but dragging our cases through the streets and over bridges after flying all night was a challenge. I would check with the hotel prior to see about getting a porter to handle your bags.

That being said, the hotel was nicely done, clean, breakfast was good, Igor gave us great recommendations for food, directions to places we wanted to go and arranged for our cases to be taken as we left and for a water taxi to the cruise terminal.

Left some earrings, which the staff noticed straight away - they called and then kept them until I was able to come and pick them up after the cruise - above and beyond!

Staff are so helpful!

The directions provided by the hotel were very useful. It's really not easy following street names in Venice. The staff were friendly and always there to offer assistance.
The hotel was well-maintained and cozy and our small room was always clean. The shower had lots of hot water and the AC was great.
The location was excellent. Restaurants, shops, grocery, monuments all in close walking distance.
I cannot comment on the breakfast as I did not have any.
The streets can become quite dark at night, but the Hotel remained well-lit making it easy to find, as it is 24-hours.
I would stay here again!

Place was awesome. Air conditioning was a plus at this place, verses other hotels we stayed in Europe. The room actually got cold, which has never happened when staying abroad. The bed didn't look too comfy in the pics, but was actually surprisingly comfortable, one of the better ones we had. The door staff was very helpful when asking questions about getting around, and places to go. I would definitely stay at this place again and recommend it to anyone staying in Venice.

Wife and I stayed at this hotel at the end of June on a four night mini break. Hotel is located right in the heart of the city, a couple of minutes walk from Rialto bridge water bus stop and about five minutes in the opposite direction to St Marks Square. Hotel provides very easy to follow directions on how to get to them with confirmatory email.
Arrived early, but our room was already available. Complimentary glass of juice whilst checking in was a nice touch.
Room was comfortable, overlooked the main street outside but noise was not a problem, unlike what has been said in some other reviews. Airconditioning, minibar fridge with enough space to store a few extra bottles of water. Shower, no bath, but plenty of hot water and good pressure. Comfortable bed. Murano glass lights and mirrors look very pretty and are in keeping with the room style.
Breakfast is continental - wide choice of hams, cheese, yogurts, cereal, fruit, pastries / cakes plus toast and a cool omelette making machine. Wide range of teas, coffees and juices.
Other amenities include computer / printer for free use by guests on the first floor. They also have wi-fi but we didn't use it.
Check-out is 11am, hotel will store your bags for you if your return flight isn't until later in the day.
Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect hotel, ideal location. However, we've been given the only room on the top floor, where the hotel had no air conditioning in the common area and was getting very hot during the day. The air conditioning in the room barely managed to compensate and keep it at a livable level at night. We are a family that lives at a constant 19 C indoors .. so this was a real problem to us. It did not ruin the overall positive experience though.

The hotel was clean with great air conditioning in hot Venice July. I received a warm welcome when I arrived at 1am because my plane was two hours late! The hotel is centrally located between St. Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge within easy walking distance to everything! I felt very safe in the area as a female solo traveler. The staff was fantastic with recommendations. I had a great stay!

Nice breakfast to start your busy day.

Just outside the most congested areas. Although Venice is difficult to navigate, it is within walkining distant of entire city. Great breakfast buffet.

Really pleasant stay!

Lovely good value hotel in an excellent location, short walk to both Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square. Small, but clean, bedrooms and the towels and bedding changed daily. Good size bathroom for a single room too. Safety deposit box in the room. Breakfast is good.

Good hotel close to attractions and grand canal

Short walk from Rialto boat stop. No motor vehicles in Venice. Excellent reception, received room close to stairs which was quiet and away from street. Good Continental style breakfast, but should get a microwave. clean room and air conditioning. Also easy baggage room, staff was nice enough to let me hang out for a while until time for my shuttle. Hotel staff had a copy of my shuttle boat reservation and ensured I got to the right place on time. Good stay.

Pleasant Hotel

The hotel accommodation was decent and very clean. The hotel is located within a 10 minute walk from both St Marks Square and the Grand Canal. The staff was very attentive, courteous, and friendly. They made my stay worthwhile and because of them I would recommend the place!

Family Run, convenient hotel

Hotel da Bruno is a fabulous hotel right in the middle of it all, yet quiet when you need a break from your day. It is not fancy, but it is comfortable, clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This was our second stay at Hotel da Bruno and we will hopefully be back for another!
