staff is outstanding. Special thanks to Antonio and Alex. They know the area very well and accommodated requests quickly and professionally. Cleaning staff also excellent. Breakfast is very good, and Anna helped me with my Italian as she did last time we stayed. Ground floor rooms pick up lobby noise and conversations but upper floor rooms are quiet and well appointed.
Y only suggestion, and it is minor, is that more that 2 coffee pods be provided per night per room. More were provided upon request. I will definitely stay here again, and again.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and comfortable hotel. The staff was excellent - helpful and attentive. The building is very historic and nicely preserved. The breakfast was delicious with several hot and cold options. The location was perfect, just a bit away from the crowds (quiet and peaceful) but still centrally located with nice restaurants and cafes. Highly recommended.

Hotel concierge is amazing. The staff overall is amazing. A few features with the room didn’t work. Mainly the bathroom. Running toilets and the shower randomly going off through the night. No air circulation unless you open the windows. Cleanliness was fantastic. A beautiful property. We will always come back. Minor issues need to be addressed.

A beautiful hotel with old world charms. The room is spacious and elegantly furnished. The room has a small window but it gives a gorgeous rooftop view of the neighborhood. Walking into the hotel you immediately recognize it's a historic site. The staff at front desk is very friendly and helpful. You can have them book dinner or water taxi reservations.
The walk from closest water shuttle stop takes about 12-15 mins. But with the gravel pavement and several bridges to cross, it's more than just the time especially if you carry luggage. But if you take water taxi, the hotel has its own dock, which brings you right into the lobby.

Had a great 4 night stay here shortly before Christmas. Hotel is in a great location for accessing all the tourist hotspots, but set in a quiet street just off the beaten track. All aspects of the hotel were excellent. Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean throughout, room spacious, breakfast plentiful and all staff from reception to porters to waitresses all friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of a trip to Venice.

The hotel is basically a place of 16th century. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is amazing with a lot of gourmet varieties. The staff are very friendly and nice. The hotel is close to the major attractions.
I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and everything exceeded my expectation.

Great hotel in just perfect area of Venice. Close enough to all interesting places but located in quiet part without tourists crowd.

Personal on reception is extraordinary. Very polite, helpful and just modest enough.

Room condition is excellent and in great shape.

This was our second stay in this hotel and for sure this will be my only choice for any future Venice stay!

We had a great stay at Ai Cavalieri for our first time in Venice.

The location was great - super close / walking distance to a lot of the main sights. The area and streets around it were also lovely and made it a pleasure walking to and from the hotel.

The rooms were classic Venetian style but very well kept and clean. The bathroom in our room was INCREDIBLE and the shower was one of the best I've had in any hotel, including 5 stars in major cities. The shower head and water pressure were elite. Also, the breakfast was awesome. Solid spread, great juices, and attentive service.

One of the most convenient things about this hotel is that it has its own dock. One thing to note thought - while the hotel can arrange for a water taxi from the airport in advance, it's more expensive than if you do it yourself. We used Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia.

Fantastic hotel

This hotel is amazing. A former palace from the 16th century, remodeled in 2015 to convert it in a fantastic hotel. Beautiful, spacious rooms with atmosphere of a real palace. Great location and good quality breakfast.

Spent a great five days at Hotel Ai Cavalieri. As a wheelchair user I was able to access all of the hotel and, when more space was required, staff happily moved a table or luggage rack. A special mention needs to be given to Sam, a wealth of knowledge and so helpful; and Alex and Owen who supported us to get to the airport when a river taxi could not take us - both of whom are considerate and supportive. Additionally, the waiting staff at breakfast were professional and friendly; making sure the patrons’ breakfast needs were met. This is a beautiful hotel that goes that extra mile to ensure their patrons’ have a wonderful stay. Definitely, a hotel with the ingredients for a great Venezia visit.

This is something of a gem. A traditional Venetian hotel. Has an old school feel to it with excellent service. It is on a beautiful canal.

The immediate area around the hotel is fairly quiet but very close to the action if needed. The best of both worlds.

This hotel is a gem, and the staff is incredible. The location was great for us. It is close to restaurants where locals actually eat and a short walk to all the major tourist locations.

We loved our room with its towering ceilings and giant chandeliers. Every morning we woke up excited to have breakfast at the hotel, which was the best breakfast we had in Italy. It was delicious.

The staff made everything very easy. I booked water transfers through the hotel, and they delivered perfect service. All we had to do was enjoy our trip.

We were greeted at the train station and escorted to our waiting water taxi. We attended a gala dinner for Festa Del Redentore. The water taxi to dinner was right on time. The transfer to the airport was also perfect. If you let the wonder staff handle the logistics, you will have an amazing trip.

They also offer a great tour of Murano. We were shocked to learn that there is no cost for the water taxi to and from Murano when planned with the hotel.

We stayed at great properties in Rome and Florence, but this hotel in Venice was the best stay of our trip.

Venice is already a special place, but a great hotel like this one makes it a 10/10.

Absolutely loved this hotel! A real hidden gem as you could almost walk right by and not realize the magic within. Super helpful staff guide you to the most important sites and are always willing to let you in on the culinary artistry should you wish to throw your carb count out the window (at least for a night or two). Have a water taxi drop you off right at the door or whisk you off to new adventures! I highly reccomend this fine hotel and you'll love the breakfast in the morning to get you fueled up. Book it without question and you'll put this one in the memory bank for sure! Happy travelling!

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location

Absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location for exploring Venice.
The breakfast buffet is really good with hot and cold choices as well as pastries, cereals and fruit.

The quintessential Venetian hotel opulent, all the amenities and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was so comfortable and cool ( June stay that temps exceeded 95 F during day) we slept til Noon one day! Easy walk to San Marco. Our water taxi brought us right to private dock which made arrival and departure a lovely experience! Thank you Sam and all the staff for taking great care of us! Can’t wait to return soon!

The hotel charged us 2x as much to book a water taxi to the airport as they did for the friends we traveled with. We booked a water taxi for the same number of guests and same amount of luggage. The hotel was lovely but I would avoid booking anything additional with them.

Hotel Ai Cavalieri is situated in a quiet area of the Castello sector which is very convenient to walk to the popular nearby areas of Rialto and St Mark's Square, and it's only a 10 min walk to and from the Alilaguna water taxi station at F.TE Nove \"A\" (Blue line) which connects to Marco Polo airport.
The hotel has its own pontoon if you prefer a private water taxi from/to the airport.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with a variety of rooms and suites to choose from.
Our room was very comfortable and had a good size en-suite, and very clean throughout.
Breakfast choices were good with a selection of fresh fruit, pastries, savoury bites and a hot choice of bacon and eggs.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
There is no restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and all in walking distance.

AMAZING !!!! First time in Venice. The Hotel is a 20-25 min walk from the Hospedale water taxi stop. The hotel is beautiful, clean,quiet, and centerally located. The side of the hotel faces the water so you can schedule a water taxi to pick you up (expensive - $150euro) I had to do it to get to the airport on time. Everything else is walking distance. Breakfast is great. Staff is so helpful. My room was cleaned twice a day. I will come back.

We stayed in the junior suite. It was very nice! Staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and coordinating the water taxi to the airport.

The only thing to note is that expedia says there is on site laundry as well as a laundry service which is not true. Also, the tub is a jacuzzi but they have it disconnected due to the noise.

I visited with my mum on our first trip to Venice in mid September. I spent ages researching accommodation and I am so pleased I found this hotel. Location wise it was perfect. Everything is within walking distance. The staff were exceptional and really welcoming, with lots of ideas for our stay. We had drinks on the outside terrace one night and it was lovely, as were the cocktails. We also loved the buffet breakfast. We were spoilt for choice. I remember reading other reviews and have no idea why anyone would take issue with this spread. There was something for everyone. Whilst the hotel was a little dated in places, it is exactly what I would expect for such a historical location and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.
