I was very disappointed with this property. It advertised as having a 24hr front desk, which is what I wanted as a mother travelling alone with children in a new country. There was no front desk staff at all and we were told to perform a self check in two days prior to arrival. When I tried to cancel to book somewhere new with an actual front desk, they wouldn’t refund. Expedia was of no help, despite the misleading ad posted on their site. The space was tired and cramped. Staff weren’t friendly or helpful when and if you saw them. The only positive was the location: we walked to lots of spots and were able to navigate the city easily with public transport. Wouldn’t stay here again, though.

Do not stay here.

The hotel door was locked and no one was there when we arrived. The phone also didn’t work so we sat waiting for 2 hours to get inside. Room was clean but beds were uncomfortable (the sofa bed was broken) and bathroom fixtures were old and leaky.

An authentic Venitian experience. Perfect location with easy drop of by water taxi 100 meters from the hotel. Walking distance to all sites and restaurants. Antique decor in this small five room boutique hotel on one of the smaller canals with balcony and view of passing gondolas. Nice continental breakfast with Cappuccino or Cafe included. Air conditioning was not the best in room 105 but managed with a fan in the summer humidity.

Don't believe the positive reviews

I wouldn't stay here again. The hotel was reasonably clean but that is about the only positive. No one was available at reception other than upon check in. Hair dryer in the bathroom broke on the first day and requested replacement never arrived. The breakfast overall was disappointing and the milk for the cereal was sour and curdled.

Location was good, very central to most places. Rooms were nice, canal view, nicely decorated. Good size for 2 people. That's about it with good things to say about it. To the bad things now. Nobody at reception. 1 woman is managing everything there i.e. serving breakfast, cleaning, checking you out. She complained to us that it is too busy for her and she can't keep up. Often skipping on some things, like cleaning our room for example. Breakfast was really poor, I've visited over 60 countries and this was the poorest breakfast i have even seen. Lukewarm coffee, 30g cereals, 2 toasts, bland yoghurt and 1 croissant. No kettle in the room, no spoons or forks either. If you have any issue in your room after about 1pm you should tell about it to staff but the problem is there is nobody there to listen. Nobody at reception so you have to wait for the next morning to report it to the breakfast lady. Upon booking we were told we'll get a casino voucher but at the hotel they have never heard about this so we didn't get it. Paid 32 euro extra at check out for city tax for 4 nights so keep that in mind.

This wasnt actually hard to find as I've read on previous reviews. We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel, staff were very accommodating and nice. Lovely city too!
Oh the room! The room was a 3 person/3 bed room and it was decent space I thought. Very clean too. The shower was a little tight but it was clean. Good overall!

Check in went well, ushered to our room and was told no airconditioning so please open windows. Unfortunately slept with windows open and my husband got 57 mosquito bites, me only a few. Room was small but clean, bathroom mini-size. Breakfast was bland. Only cereal was Cornflakes. No fresh fruit just canned pineapple. Bread rolls were hard. Croissants okay. Meat was some man made tasteless sausage. Cheese was fine. Coffee was our resurrection because it was freshly made by the pot or by the cup. The refrigerator in our room did not work and we reported that on the morning of the second day and requested ice but was given 4 ice cubes...it was not fixed until our 3rd and last day there. I purchased ice from grocery store in order to chill our Prosecco. No bottled water was provided either. No staff on duty other than for breakfast. Would not stay there again ourselves and would find difficulty in recommending to others.

Terrible. The worst hotel. Impossible to find and poorly marked. Absentee reception so no greeting or help whatsoever upon arrival. The WiFi was down (until I fixed the modem, just what I want to spend my time on when I’m on vacation), no AC, filthy room, refrigerator hot as an oven rude breakfast service. Absolutely awful. I may stop using hotels.com because you vend this garbage.

Great location, dreadful service

The reception wasn’t manned and the member of staff was running between two hotels, 10 minutes away from each other. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to arrive to check in. One evening we arrived back at around 10.30 and the front door wouldn’t unlock, so we had to stand in the dark passage way outside for 10 minutes with our young daughter and it felt really unsafe, waiting for someone to come and unlock the door.
The breakfast is served from 8.30am so not helpful if you need an early start and the milk was rancid. We got shouted at for sitting at a table for 4 when there were only 3 of us and made to move.
The basin in our bathroom was out of action when we arrived, so had to wash hands in the shower. A plumber came but it continued to leak.
15 minutes before we were due to check out, we were phoned in our room and told to hurry up!
A great central location but the service was very poor.

The bed is terrible. No elavator and the stairway is really small. Breakfast starts at 8am so for any early risers this will be a bit frustrating. Not easy to find in a city where most things are not but it is especially harder. Has a tiny sign above the door that you are easy to miss.

A key is needed to enter the building. That's Ok. But there is a 2 storey staircase to reach the units. As eighty year olds that is difficult to handle.
It would be nice if the stairs were mentioned in Casa Pisani writeups.
The property is well located, clean and breakfast area and food is good.

The city tax you pay is more than started ad this is classed as a four star hotel apparently.
It's definitely not. There is no working air conditioning and the rooms are very stuffy. The floor is very dusty that my socks are covered in dust. The hair dryer doesn't work. The shower has a lit of mould and terrible water pressure.
The breakfast is very basic in compared to other hotels. A croissant, a boiled egg, piece of cheese and piece of ham and some cereal.
there isn't a restaurant or a 24 hour front desk. The rooms are small and you can hear conversations from adjacent rooms.
I wouldn't visit again.

The initial start was not good.
After finding the front door (must have a phone with a GPS map) down a narrow passage way, we pressed the door bell and the communication was not great but we were buzzed in.
No one in the narrow reception hallway so we dragged our luggage the thirty plus steps up to the next landing.
Still no sight of anyone (unbeknown to us the owner was on his was from 5 mins distance), having waited then called again on the front door intercom, the door handle came off as we shut the door!

The room and hotel did not appear to have any smoke detection or fire alarm, the shower was interesting in it's size that would clearly challenge larger guests. The breakfast staff were extremely friendly.

If guests have physical access difficulties, they should contact the case before booking

No Canal view! For the price not great!

No canal view at all, as shown in picture's. They save on electricity so you can not charge anything while your gone. Must plug your key in, in order to get power, so you must be there to charge your stuff. And 2nd day no hot water, for how expensive it was, it's unbelievable. No staff present most of the time. Disappointing

Used Google maps and found hotel no problem. Arrived late (10ish) and had to buzz in. Door opened eventually but no one on reception. Had to go outside to buzz again and then someone turned up from a different building, so no manned reception. All that said, breakfast good and housekeeping good, good location 10 min walk to the square

Not up to the Mark, Better avoid

We stayed for two day in December. The Hotel is very hard to find. We have wasted 2hours to find this Hotel. No sigh boards etc. Due to which we lost a day in Venice. Even the residence people are not aware of this Hotel address.

If you wish to have a wonderful experience in Venice , better skip this Hotel.
This Hotel is managed by group Hotels and no one will be here to help expect for Morning Hours.
Breakfast not up to the Mark. Hotel is very Old. Interior wise average. Even Hot water facility is too bad. Wifi very poor service. Over all very very poor Service.
This Hotel can be reachable from Rialto Water boat Stop.(Rialto Bridge).
You need to ask for Santa Mariana Square.
if you wish to find the Hotel address, better call the service desk.
Over all very low budget hotel.

The room was very small staff was not helpful at all and it was all a big rip off. The room we ordered was not what we got.
To top it off we were offered a trip to the island of Morano to view some glass works only to find out we had to pay out on way back.

The fact that they offered free breakfast and wi-fi was good. However I wouldn't recommend staying here if more than 2 adults plan to stay in same room as rooms are small. Also be warned that if you choose this hotel assuming you will have a great view of the canal then think it over twice. I booked this room mainly because of their pictures of a great water view and the name says canal but the only view out of our window was a brick wall.

Old but well appointed

Very difficult to find - ask for chiesa (church) Miracoli. Very old building brought up to good standard. Good bedroom and en suite. Only downside : safe didn't work and wasn't repaired in our 4 day stay and hairdryer also.
Pleasant staff. Everybody helpful in Venice and as streets are so confusing, inhabitants must get fed up with tourists asking the way - but they don't!

Our room was outdated and looked tired, as did the bathroom. The shower was very small and not effective. Breakfast was poor and served from 8am (but usually later) meaning we did not get out until around 9am. Other hotels we stayed at in Italy served breakfast from 7am.I'm glad we were only there a couple of nights.

Not for first visit to Venice

We loved Venice. The hotel was built in 1700's and updated. It had only 5 rooms. It was our first time in Venice so we missed not having hotel staff. We were on our own. There was only a woman at breakfast. my luggage was delayed in Istanbul and there was no one to answer the door so it went back to the airport. It took another day to bring it back.

The wifi was not dependable and the phone did not work at all.

This is not a hotel for a first visit to Venice.

First morning there, I had a problem with my credit card and needed to call the bank to approve some transactions so they would turn it back on, but I did not understand how to dial the phone, or the error message I was getting. I asked the lady on duty to please take just a second to help me and she started yelling about how she was in a hurry!
She was apparently in such a hurry, she didn't leave us any toilet, zero toilet paper,and with no attendants in the hotel after she is done cleaning, there was no way to get any. she left one towel period. two people, one towel!
Second morning, I put the one towel in the floor expecting two clean ones in return, but instead, the attendant lady this day, decides to hang the dirty towel from the floor to dry and that's it, we were expected to share the dirty towel. I confronted the attendant in the morning and asked for two clean towels, and wow, we were told in the most confrontational manner \"ese nut possible\" what, we have to share a dirty towel? She just kept saying Ese nut possible. I was in disbelief.
We decided after 6 days there, we had seen most everything and we wanted to go spend a few days in Monterosso. We were told we could not check out! Well, if we did we had to pay a penalty, and after consulting with his partner, they called back to say they decided the penalty would be that I had to pay for 10 days. I had already been there for six and that was a substantial amount, not good enough, they wanted all 10 days.

I went with my daughter for 4 days. We had a great time in spite of the weather. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good, with a choice of cereal, bread, eggs, etc, even some pastries. The lady who was there in the mornings was lovely and helpful, especially after I started speaking Spanish and trying out my Italian. The room was very small and our twin beds were placed together so it felt like 1 large bed, but we didn't spend much time inside, so it wasn't a problem. As the weather was cold (February) we appreciated that the room and the bathroom were warm . Wifi was good. Finding the hotel was easy from Fond. nove but tricky from Realto, although it was near. It was fun getting lost and finding our way during the first couple of days, after all we didn't have a pressing timetable.

A very nice choice- highly recommended!

We stayed here for two nights in early May. It is in a nice and quiet part of the city within 10 minutes walking distance to all the major sights. We actually liked Canneggerio district better as it was not as packed and touristic as the district of St. Marco. The hotel is in a residential area, on a quiet street. Our room was really clean, with a lovely decoration. The bathroom was a bit small but it was fine. The only trouble was that our room was really hot. (we had to sleep with tshirts on, and didn't even feel a need to use the blanket provided.) Keeping the windows open helped, but then there was the issue of mosquitos- a general problem in Venice. So, my suggestion is that you take your mosquito repellents with you. The breakfast was not as poor as I imagined (looking at other reviewers), in fact we were offered quite a wide range of food ranging from fruit yoghurts, cereal to eggs, kruvasan, fruits and cheese. All in all, we were quite happy about this hotel.

Hotel Casa Pisani Canal close to Ponti De Rialto

Good location to get to Piazza San Marco and Ponti De Rialto.
Quite expense for the kind of accommodations.

It was difficult to get luggage up the stairs even with the disabled lift that could be used. Also, getting to the hotel was difficult with luggage because of all the small bridges to maneuver to get from the Ponti De Rialto to the hotel. It would be better to take the bus boat to Fondamenta Nove station because of fewer bridges to cross.

In addition, the size of the room was very small.

There was a very good breakfast as part of the price.

Casa Pisani Canal - very central and quiet

Casa is located in a quiet street not far from Rialto. I think the location is great and not that difficult to find. We walked from the train station with the Casa's instructions and strangely had no problems finding the Casa.
We were welcomed by the lady of the house who is very friendly and multi-lingual. She even insisted on that she would bring our suitcase up to our room!
We booked a basic room but had everything we wanted and the decor was quite something as promised by the pictures. Would be nice to have access to a balcony so you could have somewhere to chill out but I think this is as good a place as any to base your long weekend in Venice.

In generale, ci è piaciuto soggiornare in hotel. La camera era pulita e confortevole, la colazione gustosa, ma ci sono anche dei difetti, come l'odore stantio in hotel e l'odore sgradevole in bagno. La pulizia quotidiana della camera consisteva solo nel rifare il letto e portare fuori la spazzatura. Gli asciugamani non venivano cambiati. Spero che, leggendo questa recensione, la situazione migliori, almeno per gli altri ospiti.

Notre chambre était petite mais la salle de bain est super équipée, elle mériterait un petit rafraîchissement. Les dames qui s’occupent du petit dej sont très accueillantes. Une d’elles parle français et est vraiment adorable. Le petit dej est simple.
